Remembering Lux...

It was in a cinema in 1980 when first saw Lux Interior on stage in this movie. It featured band after band, and The Cramps stole the movie from under them all...

I had no idea that 27 years later I would be voice-directing him in Los Campeones de la Lucha Libre, when he lent his talents to the character of Rayo X.

As I work on a new project which features a back story for Rayo X, I'm continually reminded of him, and the tone he brought to the character. I really want to continue that in my new film. Hard to believe it's now 14 years since he passed.

But what a larger-than-life, mad, bad, beautiful bastard he was. And what a legacy.
