There he is visiting comatose Tanjirou, though Kagaya himself was very recently busy doing stuff like this:

He presumably also visited comatose Inosuke, who only woke up seven days before Tanjirou did.

According to the Gotou and Sumi report, Zenitsu woke up the day after the battle, and returned to going on missions two days before Tanjirou woke up.

Ergo, it stands to reason that Zenitsu got a chance to meet Kagaya and wakefully enjoy the soothing sound of Kagaya's voice, and that Kagaya in all likelihood praised him for his accomplishments.

if we assume that each of the three pillars comes exactly three times for a total of nine times, and we know that the 7th time it was the 40-year guardian, and if we assume that was her final visit and the last two visits will be split between the 30-year guardian and the 8-year guardian, we can calculate how long ago the miharu family made that deal: (40x3)+(30x2)+(8x2)=196 years. 196 years ago it was 1828, but i think this is supposed to be set in the 1980s or 90s, so call it the late 1700s. that's the kind of thing matoba as the head of the matoba clan has to concern himself with - deals with youkai made by people 200 years ago from families that don't even exist anymore. it's an interesting contrast to the thing he says to natsume at the end of this arc, about the 9th visit, which is 30 years away, being someone else's problem. he's embroiled in the past but doesn't even think he'll get to have a future.

My favourite thing about Arthur's terriers is this. Arthur is a manly man. He's tall, he's handsome, he's upper-class, he looks like Thor. You might expect him to be associated with gundogs, foxhounds or springer spaniels: hunting dogs suitable for a nobleman's hobbies.

But Arthur's dogs are not particularly large or noble. Instead, they're cute, yappy little terriers. And they help to save the day.

Ok it only exists as an outline and it’s definitely a loose AU. But I’m imagining something very sweeping and historical and angsty. Paul as the wealthy Kiera Knightly character and John as the servent. And Mike (younger in this AU) sees something in the library and misinterprets it. The set up would be similar but from there it would be pretty different, with Paul eventually joining the army to try to find John. I’m also leaning toward a happy ending with lots of angst in between. Thinking of setting it in WW1 instead of 2 but not sure.

the character who i have a commander au of is pretty solidly a he/him transmasc but i love the notion of him as the commander just being kind of Whatever gender. NPCs all use they/them for the comm and there's now i guess the element of the commander/wayfinder having different titles and nouns in different situations, so i love the idea of the comm pulling a page from jormag's book and just being like "my gender/title/pronouns are whatever You feel is most convenient or funniest at the moment". it helps keep them more anonymous anyway so its kind of a win/win
