How can i possibly be this bored already im not even unemployed yet
#going insane#i have a huge day tomorrow i NEED to go to sleep but im too bored to sleep#turns out drawing and reading 24/7 from the age you can hold a book#up until the end of university#really does wonders to remedy the adhd restlessness that has plagued me since graduation#being in school helped too i guess whatever#one time when i was unemployed and living with my parents#my mom thought there was a burgler because i was bored and restless at 2am#and went onto the back deck to build a snowman in the dark#that was the era of me driving into town to wander around the park alone#i wiuld get a new hobby but god knows im not doing the ones i have already#maybe i should get a headshot done and become an actor#i definitely need to write another book#how much do headshots cost anyways#after my back pain treatment is underway im going back to my doctor to try to get adhd treatment again#sat in on 3 meetings today and zoned out of all of them because i was thinking about stuff#that i immediately forgot#oh shit my pain clinic tomorrow is around the corner from that cool gay bookstore coffee shop#wish i had my computer so i could write#writing a novel really was the last thing keeping me sane huh#oh my god go to sleep

i posted abt this on my tiktok story but i need to rant more so im putting it here 😭😭 the way a lot of mikosai shippers (on tiktok, pinterest, reddit, etc) are is such a big reminder to me of why i hate the strictly romantic soulmates trope with every fiber of my being 😭😭😭 people who interpret soulmates as "that means theyre canonically together" regardless of how the characters actually feel about each other and if they ACTUALLY get together is so fucking gross to me oh my god its so fucking gross i hate forced romance so bad 😭😭 someone cant just say "hey, we're soulmates so you HAVE to date me and its literally weird and impossible for you to like anyone else because i said so!!" and also aiura WOULDNT do that anyway ???? i spend a lot of time thinking about the empty space between jim and bones at spock's funeral
#the empty space is spock. obviously.#with hindsight it's hard to say if the distance jim and bones have put between themselves is more or less tragic#knowing that spock is there in both ways: physically in his casket and spiritually in bones himself. but human perception of death only#accounts for the physical. the idea of a soul being unequivocally present in that moment is one that neither of them really believes in#(jim and bones are both written at least vaguely christian. god and the eternal soul are certainly in their belief systems but neither#of them are deeply religious within canon especially when compared to other characters such as the bajorans in tng/ds9)#have they parted because spock should be there in the center despite how often bones and spock would make jim their fulcrum#or have they parted because passing that threshold is too painful without one of them there. a missing limb with phantom pangs.#they could both survive without spock but i always wonder to what degree; 'how do you feel' 'i feel young'#and a few years later it's spock and bones who must survive without jim#never knowing that he hadn't died but continued on in the nexus until it's too late#and we never know if bones ever learns that jim survived and later dies doing what he always does: serving the greater good#but we do know that spock outlives them both. he survives without either of them for so long. he never marries.#and then he sends himself on a suicide mission -- to serve the greater good.#ultimately to end up in another universe where he sees the two of them again: young and healthy and so full of life#and once again he dies before either of them.#tos#the wrath of khan#mcspirk#triumvirate#triposting

It took me like two hours to process that Caleb's description of dunamis actually was somewhat new information and then go back to grab the transcription because, uh, both "form of magic that exists between the fabric of all of forces of power" and "one of the oldest and most fundamental forces" are far more confidently firm descriptions than we ever got in campaign 2.

Ok so I've finished Magnus Archives and Malevolent for the first time and these are my main takeaways from them

#I LOVED IT SOOOOOO MUCHHHH i cant even explain it#never mind that the grungy start and the filthy fawking guitar combined w INCOMINGGGGGGG pavlov conditions me into my eyes rolling back in#pleasure. it’s also the way it’s so gorgeously experimental and new and yet still SO taemin#it’s literally my FAVORITE thing about him like no one else is doing this and it’s soooo so exciting to me#also i’ve only had a little bit of time to myself so i planned to listen to like 3 songs and ended up listening to sexy in the air thrice#(i just can’t get ENOUGH we are SO fucking BACK) but how much do you wanna bet the rest of the album is mostly easily digestible#easy to listen songs that will automatically be crowd pleasers#like at the end of sexy in the air mv it’s like horizon starts and i was thinking like this is SO smart#do sita (undeniably taeministic and absolutely excellent and will no doubt be revered in a few years just like move/want and any other#song that wasn’t universally liked at release) and follow it up with a double title of a massively likeable song? SO good i hope that’s#what he does but i reaaaaaally really am so delighted i have another weird dark sexy grungy (!!!!!) absolute MONSTER of a song to listen#the SHIT out of auhhhh i love him BAD#i have SO many more thoughts on the DANCEEEEEEE too and the song itself but they’ll wait until im back home
