DOES YOUR KIA NEED A RADIATOR REPAIR?
Tumblr media
RISING ENGINE TEMPERATURE
When the radiator stops controlling the coolant’s temperature, the heat inside your engine will rapidly rise. Your first warning of this will usually be the temperature gauge on your instrument panel shooting up into the red.
A Kia’s engine should ordinarily run between 195 and 220 degrees. If it rises above 220 degrees, parts inside the engine will rapidly start to break down; you might notice ticking sounds, a loss of engine power, and steam rising from under your hood. A car with an overheating engine can only go for a quarter of a mile before risking catastrophic damage, so never drive for long if you suspect overheating because of a failed radiator.
LEAKING COOLANT
If the coolant flowing through your radiator and engine leaks, the entire cooling system can no longer function properly, and your engine will rapidly overheat. So if you notice the temperature rising, check below your car for puddles of brightly colored, sweet-smelling fluid.
You can also check under your hood for signs of a leak. The coolant reservoir will be lower than expected, and you might notice patches of discoloration on various engine parts where the coolant has dripped or spurted and then boiled away. Leaks can sometimes stem from radiator caps or hose connections.
CORRODING OR RUSTING RADIATOR
Over time, radiators can start to rust. This is more likely in particularly humid or cold climates, or when your car is left to rest without being used for prolonged periods. When you visually check your radiator, check the caps and fins for signs of corrosion or rust.
Radiators can also sometimes rust internally if aging coolant loses its rust-prevention qualities. In this case, the coolant inside the transparent reservoir will begin to turn rusty brown in hue. A technician at your local dealership may be able to use special products and processes to destroy external and internal rust. But if the rust is extensive, you might need a new radiator.
HOW YOUR KIA DEALER CAN INSPECT YOUR RADIATOR
A technician will first check your coolant and flush it if necessary. They’ll then remove the radiator cap and check for excessive debris, and also examine the fins for any external clogging. To test the proper functioning of your radiator, they’ll also run a series of pressure checks on the fan, cap, thermostat, pump, and other essential parts.
Have your radiator inspected, repaired, or replaced today at Geweke Kia. We’ve been providing the drivers of Yuba-Sutter and Lodi for 25 years with great vehicles and great customer service.

Petition to bring back the archaic word "fere" as a gender neutral* term for a companion/mate/spouse. It has roots from the Old English word "gefera" roughly meaning "one who goes with another" and is pronounced "feer" which sounds like "Dear" which is already a term of endearment and is homophonous with "fear" so you can sound like an oxymoronic gay vampire or smth ("Hello my Fere >:)")
*the word "fere" was gender-neutral in English but has evolved into male-gendered words like "fuhrer" and "frere" in German and French respectively

i dont mean this as like some kind of gotcha or whatever im a big fan of both concatenative and AI vocal synths pretty equally but i am curious if in like 5-10 years we're gonna get like some sort of nostalgia for the vaguely underwater sounding cevio AI 1.0 early vocoder-esque engine noise. whats that quote about like cd skipping and tape grain. the thing that we hated the most in old tech is the first thing we try to recreate for nostalgia or something like that
#the early AI vocoder sound while difficult to work with can sound really interesting#its annoying if ur trying to do funky stuff with pitchbending and other parameters because it like#eats up it all up and buries it underwater LOL BUT it can also sound like really interesting effects by default#it works well for housey edm and slightly unusual pop. i think kafu and haru especially. stuff were you want to sound a little artificial#but not flat like concatenative stuff more warbly#will people remember how hated it all was. will people remember#in general a lot of vocal synthesis preferences is like what engine noise do you like most#im the worlds only V3 engine noise hater despite liking v1/2/4 noise LOL#(its FINE its inoffensive its serviceable but i think thats why i dont like it <3 )#(like most vocals outside of a couple miku appends and maybe like. the zola guys. avanna. see u. a few other non jpn vocals)#(they all got really blurred and homogenized to sound like eachother in v3. v4 updates and remasters i much preferred)#i dont mind sv's super SUPER breathy noise LOL and cevio/voisona 2.0 gets clippy in interesting ways#i looooooove v1 noise i know i already said this but i looooooove it the same way i love like. dectalk#i love you paul. my perfect paul. eaiou. eaiou.#wait im getting distracted. i couldnt tell you much about v5 tho. i lowkey kind of missed it entirely. i like the meika gyals tho#but yeah i dunno. i wonder if people are gonna miss cevio 1 and v6ai noise in a few years
