Okay so I’ve binged all of the Rivals AU fics by the talented @kazliin​ and am utterly in love with the story/world she’s created (SO MANY FEELS!). Somewhere in the middle I started bookmarking scenes that I wanted to sketch out, and I’ll probably post a few more soon :D (Scenes under the cut)

Chapter 10 scene (AO3 link)

As the story progressed Phichit’s face changed, from surprise to shock and finally to acceptance. There was no judgment there, just a firm fixed gaze that took in every word Yuuri said and processed it without comment.

Finally, Yuuri finished the story, feeling drained. It was the first time he had told someone what had happened out loud and it was exhausting.

“Are you angry with me?” he asked once all his other words were spent, praying the answer was no.

“Of course not Yuuri.” Phichit’s voice was quiet but there was no lie or insincerity in his tone. “I wish you had told me before now but I’m not angry.”

Chapter 12 scene (AO3 link)

“You insulted me and you belittled me. You didn’t believe in me. I worshiped you and you broke my heart.”

It was only after the words came out that he realised that he was almost shouting, the words like glass shards in his throat. Turning back towards Viktor he wiped furiously at his eyes, ashamed at the tears that had formed there because he thought that he had gotten over it, had thought that it was finally gone, that he had finally let it go. But he could never free himself from it, not really. It was too much a part of him now.

Viktor still looked shell-shocked, gazing at Yuuri with eyes wide and mouth hanging open. He looked awful and Yuuri wanted to avert his gaze but found that he couldn’t.

Me:  I am awesome and strong.  This is how ready I am for the Rivals doping scandal.  BRING IT ON.

Also me, secretly:  Oh no wait.  This is actually how ready I am. The best I can hope for is not to die of angst.

Concept: OBS Ch. 8 is a bit too painful to sketch, decided to do a more ambiguous piece instead. Happened somewhere before Yuuri realized he loves Viktor and Viktor realized what he called love had been an obsession of the idea of love only. But something between them was growing, Yuuri was able to stand next to Viktor without being enraged and Viktor was barely keeping his infatuation with Yuuri from the whole world.

It’s been a while since a wanted to do it, but I hadn’t the time or the confidence to do so. I don’t know what changed, but I just did it. As Belle is an important song in her fics UMFB&MHA and OBS&BH, and as I have sung it more than once with my choral, I thought it could be something nice to shout a huge THANK YOU to the amazing @kazliin who is an amazing and dedicated author ! So, there it is, thanks again a thousand time ! The singing is far from perfect, but I shot it like twelve times and I wanted to go for it before I chickened out. So sorry for the many mistakes I made, I hope you’ll like it ! Also the date matched a bit with the end of your exams I think so it’s a bit of a congrats for getting through it maybe ?

Thanks again, now I’m gonna retreat in my rabbit hole of insecurity, far away from the wide wild internet hahaha !

So I drew this last night after half a bottle of prosecco... um if that’s any explanation at all.

Wasn’t it amazing when Viktor changed his final pose for his free skate at the gpf in @kazliin‘s latest chaper to Chris throwing him a huge sign declaring how gay he is for his rival? tbh he might as well have done Yuuri u blind sod did u know its rude to leave while someone is confessing their love for u through interpretive dance???????

For the ever amazing @kazliin and her wonderful fic! I really hope the two dorks clear the air in the next/last chapter. Why can’t these two just do what canon Victuuri did and just freaking talk out their problems?? It makes me want to lock them in a room until they talk to each other. Tbh I went through 3 or 4 different sketches to try and capture that scene but it’s just too good ;-; it’s beyond what I can do so this is probably the closest I can get. Also tumblr killed the quality. The first sketch and a bonus under the cut.
