ЩО НЕ ЗʼЇМ, ТО ПОНАДКУШУЮ by руся is song of the day!!
«кажуть люди, що буває й не таке
кажуть люди: «час минає, все пройде»
чому ж ти при зустрiчi?
очi відведеш
нiби ти про все це знав
а менi здається, що колись тобi
хтось такi ж слова казав»

Popular Christmas song "Carol of the Bells" is based on a Ukrainian song called "Shchedryk" and was originally arranged by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych. In 1921 undercover soviet state agent asked to stay the night at composer's' family home. In the morning he killed Mykola Leontovych and robbed his family.
"Shchedryk" was created while Mykola Leontovych was staying in Pokrovsk, city the russians are desperately trying to capture and are turning into ruins right now:

The Oleksandr Koshytsia Choir, 1922. It was them who introduced “Shchedryk” to America.
Its haunting melody was later adapted into the popular “Carol of the Bells” in English, making it a Christmas classic worldwide.

Ukrainian kobza and wheel lyre tradition has been included in UNESCO's Register of Good Safeguarding Practices! It is the first time a Ukrainian nomination has been included in this register, representing a great step forward in preserving national identity & promoting Ukrainian culture. —MFA Ukraine
The Kobzar-Lirnyk tradition is an integral part of Ukraine's musical and verbal heritage. In the past, it was performed by travelling blind singers and musicians – kobzars, lirnyks, and bandura players – and today, it is being revived by contemporary singers and instrumentalists. —Ukrainska Pravda

The Ukrainian Life Saving Center published footage of the evacuation of people after the russian chemical attack on Ukrainian territory.
just look at the condition of these victims. I can't imagine what they feel, and what a terrible pain it is.

unfortunately, the world leaders, who once guaranteed Ukraine complete protection, are trying to turn a blind eye to the fact that the russians are once again violating all international human and environmental laws.
I don't get tired of reminding and asking each of you not to stop supporting Ukrainians, spreading information about the russian war in Ukraine and not tolerating everything russian to show criminal russia and world leaders that you do not tolerate russian terrorism, its culture and products!

“I tried to explain that I was a musician but it didn’t work. You say you are a musician and it irritates them so much they beat you more, and accuse you of lying,” said Merkotan

While international organizations inspect and have access to our prisons where Russian prisoners are held, they turn a blind eye and do not fight for proper conditions for Ukrainian prisoners.

Another thing that outrages me is the way "Putin's prison" is used. It was not Putin who tortured him and others, but russians. This is not Putin's war, but Russia's. These are not the decisions and crimes of one person. After 10 years of war, the Russians are still being singled out and absolved of responsibility. That's impossible levels of stupidity and cowardice.
