So i’ll just go ahead and drop a few borderlands body temperature headcanons so if youre interested they’re right under the cut ⬇️

- Some siren powers influence the body heat of its user. Trance users tend to have a body temperature way above average, though they still aren’t hotter than Walk users, who are walking furnaces. Lock users and Leech users, on the other hand, both have very low body temperatures.

- This is pushes even further for born sirens (I could go on for whole paragraphs about my headcanon that folks who were born sirens should be special but that’ll be for another post) and sirens who enhance their abilities with eridium frequently. Therefore, Lilith is scorching hot while Maya is freezing cold, and don’t even get me started on the Calypsos. (hyperboles)

- Shift doesn’t have much of an effect on it’s user’s body temperature, however, due to the years of constant exposure to eridium, Angel also has very cold body temperature.

- I don’t really know much about Steele, but seeing her whole « cold » motif, one could assume what my opinion is on that.

- Krieg is the ignition point on the triangle of ignition (hyperbole). Very high body temperature due to the experiments and the constant setting himself on fire thing. (Hot x cold Psyren real)

- Folks from Pandora tend to have body temperature above human average. Also, Salvador has high body temp, even in Pandoran standards.

- Gaige’s is above average (Hot x cold Gaigel also real)

- Axton’s is also hotter than average, although it’s closer to average than Gaige.

- If there is something human/alien under that suit, Zer0’s body temp is significantly below average.

i have seen a lot of posts about lucanis & illario lately, that specifically call out that some of the things Lucanis says about him are kinda mean. usually in context of 'yes what illario did was fucked up but they BOTH went thru the fucked up training and lucanis says shit to him too' etc etc. and i'll be honest as someone who does have a contentious/estranged/very-low-contact sibling relationship. everything lucanis said came off as super mild to me and they should both be WAY nastier to each other actually. yes even when you include their dynamic in wigmaker job which was both more lighthearted And heartfelt. but like if you want realism they should be going from that to 1 minute later annoyed enough to break out the super cutting remarks dragging up the worst things the other has ever done/said, specifically becuause they know it will hurt the other most. then i would believe it more tbh.

dude i don't really care if people ship aroace characters just please acknowledge that they're aro and/or ace. like,, aro and ace people still can and do enter into relationships of various types at times and not every aro or ace person completely lacks attraction anyway and some date even if they do, so like, ship them if thats what you want but please just be respectful.

just acknowledge that the character is aro and/or ace. do some research about what that might mean for them if you need to. treat those characters in a way that respects their identities and doesn't completely brush them aside.

im just tired. we can be in relationships. we can not be in relationships. we are still aros and aces. dont try and erase what little representation we get.

i would like to note that i see things in this way because i have never seen a 'professional' writer (like non-fanfic or not a small online creator) specify where an aro/ace character sits on those spectrums or how they actually view relationships of any type. i've also never seen any 'professional' writer's characters get to explore or express that part of themselves enough in their stories to give much better an understanding than just "not really interested in sex or romance".

if a more specific understanding of a character was provided and it meant that that character wouldn't be involved in romantic and/or sexual relationships or was repulsed by them than yeah, I wouldn't want people shipping them at all but i dont think i've ever seen that so thats not what this is about.

A Rant About Fictional War

So uhhhhh fictional war (especially in children's shows) is really confined. What I mean by this is that the wars are clean with no violations of rights on either side. Consider that most children's shows with war in them do not have an equivalent of a geneva convention (at least not one mentioned), so why are there boundaries of what no one even suggests

(outside of the show, I understand that this is a decision on behalf of the creators and workers of movies and shows, however, that doesn't help my need to grab a leader and shake them)

like the bad guys will do much worse than the good guys, but they'll be worse in such weird ways. Like child soldiers, that's fine but trying to explode farmland is too far. and like the good guys are actively fighting back, but in such a way that they are disadvantaged. How many children shows can you think of that have war in them? now in how many of them are the good guys mentioned to have spies in?

We barely see any mention of bad guy spies either honestly. And in the few cases I'm thinking of, this isn't the issue of they're out of the loop, it's an issue of the side doesn't have any.

Just a disclaimer, I am aware that in order to make an appropiate show the producers have to keep it at a certain standard. However, the worldbuilding in many of these cases fails to bridge these plotholes. Yes this was inspired entirely about she-ra with a tad of ATLA thrown in. Love ATLA though, grew up on it
