The thing is, I don’t care that much about the actual act of someone shipping aromantic characters nearly as much as I care about the biases and amatanormative beliefs that underlie so many people’s decision to do so. The problem isn’t that individual people ship aromantic characters sometimes. It’s the fact that shipping aromantic characters or expressing disappointment that a character is aromantic and thus “can’t be shipped” almost seems to be the default in fandom spaces. Aromantic representation, especially nonpartnering aromantic representation, is treated as something that will “ruin people’s fun” (see: the Hazbin Hotel creator explaining why she won’t say whether or not Alastor is aromantic).

And yes, SOME aromantic people can still date or have non-romantic partners. But the fact that some people are so vehemently against the idea of fictional characters being nonpartnering is still something to be questioned.

Because, really, that’s the crux of the issue. It’s perfectly fine if people like the idea of an aromantic character being partnering or romance favorable. In fact, it would be wonderful to see more characters written as partnering and/or romance favorable aromantics. But when someone ONLY shows interest in characters being partnering or favorable aros in response to those same characters being interpreted as nonpartnering, it often comes across less as a desire to have representation for partnering and favorable aros and more as an opposition to having representation for nonpartnering aros.

Hello! Just want to say that I love Mushroom Oasis! It's the first and kind of only VN to make me cry, the endings so far are so well done!

My question is: do you have plans for another game after Mushroom Oasis? Either it's own thing or in the same universe?

Thank you so much!! I actually do have an idea or two for future VNs which I'm kinda excited about, but for now I'm focusing on releasing Day 3 of Mushroom Oasis before anything else.

Maybe after Day 3, I'll take a short break and work on something mini for a change, just to spice things up a little. We'll see!

after they get together buck insists on having a real first Date and eddie indulges him bc ofc he does. buck proceeds to plan something really Romantic. but everything that could go wrong does go wrong. the jeep gets a flat halfway to the restaurant so theyre 20 minutes late (and a little dirty) to the reservation. buck spills one of the extremely expensive glasses of wine he bought them all over eddie. the kitchen runs out of the steak he knew eddie wanted to order. by the end of the night buck is just. 😞😔 eddie im sorry that was the worst date of your life. and eddies like. yeah it was...maybe the dating thing isnt for us. eddie 😭😭😭 pls give me another chance!!! but eddies like. no, dont think dating is the move for us, we should just get married.

I'm not gonna lie when I started Persona 3 i wasn't particularly invested in Akihiko. Definitely wasn't planning on romancing him. Then I encountered the most insane piece of dialogue. I haven't been the same since. It haunts me.
