Crying over Darry a little actually. Out of anyone who deserves a moment to breathe its him. Idk if people talk about it much because I'm new to the fandom but. That man is basically parenting the entire gang. No matter how you see their dynamics (outside of his biological brothers ofc) he acts like a dad/older brother to basically everyone and he's only like 20 years old. Two-bit's around his age but even he still acts like someone his age would. Darry was probably forced to get serious quick and didn't get any time to enjoy the remaining days of relaxation that he could've had. He's looking out for the others when they get drunk (even when they shouldn't), when they get in trouble, when they need to get away. The Curtis household is the second home of everyone in the gang. Darry works the whole day roofing and has to come home and not only take care of his brothers, one of which is still in school and needs someone to take care of all that school stuff, and then there's people like Steve and Two-bit and probably on occasion Johnny and Dally that come by to eat or maybe even spend the night there. He is 20 years old and yet he's basically a father when he shouldn't have ever been put in that position, how often does someone check on him? Does he have anyone asking how he's feeling? Anyone looking after him? He has to work to keep everyone alive, to keep food on the table, to keep his gang safe, and to make sure his brothers don't get taken from him.

Okay so several of y’all came to my ask box and I didn’t want to post all of them but I was very delighted to see the consensus was basically: fucking go for it 😂

lol so this is funny because since I tend to write each chapter with just a general idea and no plan I haven’t actually cut anything significant, y’all actually get almost everything except for stuff I might edit if I felt like it was OOC. However…

I feel like that thing I cut out is I’ve been actually holding back on more Betty some of these last chapters. She’s def taking over in my brain, but I feel like the boys are my main story so sometimes I’m like alright I gotta focus on them and not my OC 😂

Also I def edit Darry and Betty scenes a fair amount to keep it more PG-13 because while I am down to read smut at any time tbh I feel like I fear posting anything to risqué (I def have written it) but I think maybe I’ll work up to it? Idk I just feel like that might not be the main reason why people read my story so I kinda hesitate 🤷🏼‍♀️ tbh I just fear no one would like the more racy moments 😂
