I don't think I could convey the emotions I went through when I first posted about my doujin shopping haul. This was like digging up a time capsule, taking a close look of what somebody had thought about my current OTP, back when I was still barely even a teenager myself.

Even if the majority of the stories in these doujins are "gag/comedy/parody" based, they still tell the story of somebody (the artist Summer Child to be exact) who had watched Digimon Adventure+02 when it had JUST come out and so they went and said: "Those two are my blorbos, they are in love and I'm gonna tell everyone about them". And that's just endlessly fascinating to me.

All of these doujins were drawn between 2001 and 2003 - and mostly take place in the years 2002 (in the middle of 02 itself) or 2003 (around the time of Diablomon Strikes Back, indicated by Miyako wearing the middle school uniform and Taichi going into the third grade of middle school).

Taichi and Koushirou, presumably, have been dating for a bit already - and try their best to navigate their relationship through their daily lives while being in the closet. As far as translations go, it definitely is an issue for them, as they try not to get caught kissing or holding hands by their families as well as their friends, looking for spots in school where they might be safe AND even contemplate the idea of coming out to Yamato at least. There are several instances where they are THIS close to being outed, but find ways to get around it - one of the more sillier stories is about a Digimon putting curses on people, causing them to want to kiss everyone they encounter. The curse starts with Jyou (who DOES manage to kiss Taichi, Yamato and Sora while being on a rampage), spreads to Daisuke (who, fortunately, only gets to kiss Ken) and Iori (who gets into quarantine for obvious reasons)... And of course, once again, Taichi and Koushirou fear getting outed because of it. They do get infected eventually - or at least they think they did, but in the end it was just their affection for each other after all, but at least they could use the whole story as an excuse eventually.

Physical intimacy in general does play a role as well as already implied - and I do like that Summer Child takes their personalities into account while writing more raunchy scenes. Yes, Taichi will probably always be the one who's more physical in general, but he also realizes that he may be too impatient sometimes - whereas Koushirou wishes he could be better at initiating things himself as well, but also isn't afraid to call Taichi out on being too forceful. You can tell they try to move towards each other - and that their respective traumas may play a role in why things aren't 100% perfect yet. But it's all very thoughtful and soft overall and has a hopeful spark.

If you want a glimpse on how their dynamics work, I want to recommend the doujin "Magic Mirror Kiss" to y'all, which even got a translation. It has implied nsfw, but it is definitely tame enough. It also includes the gag humour mentioned above, it absolutely is a product of its time, but I am still happy I bought all of these.

After the events of No More Tears, Blake opens up her own yoga and dance studio in the Canyons (Weiss is her investor). Yang completes her tattoo apprenticeship and does that during the weekdays. They get a large condo in Lower Reach together and cycle out the holidays spent between Pyrrha/Weiss and Tai/Ruby. They always go to Menagerie for Blake's birthday and spend January there. Blake gets a cat and names it Bongus (to match Bingus) but she nicknames it Bongo Boy. Yang puts hats on him and he's entirely spoiled. She also builds him his own custom cat tree (it's more like a castle)

Yang wears her prosthetic a lot less in the comfort of their home and among friends. She's also regularly doing physical therapy to help with chronic back pain and [redacted events that happen spoilers] She also tries to go fishing with Tai once a month if their schedules allow. She's starting to find peace in the way her home is filled with voices and pets again.

This idea came from @reeves3 But they also start collecting a ridiculous amount of bee plushies. Birthdays, holidays, special occasions, sick gifts - you name it. Their guest room is full of them. They all have names and Weiss hates it whenever she comes to visit. She says she feels like they watch her when she sleeps. Ruby sometimes takes them around town and takes photos with them like she's the fun aunt taking the kids out for a day.

Ruby also gets inaugurated into Chili's Girls Night with Weiss and Blake. Yang and Pyrrha enjoy their own 'guys night' watching sports or playing board games.

Blake still has bad days, but now she has the tools to deal with them. They deliberately set their schedules to accommodate for days where she has episodes. They're stronger than ever as each other's support systems.

They take cooking classes! They're still horrendous at it. But it's a fun date night.
