　　　⏤　 him being extra soft when having to spar/practice fighting with u. the way his movements r a little more sluggish in a way, hesitant to put full force into attacking u, him usually ending up letting u win just so he can see that victorious look on ur face which leaves him happy for the rest of the day knowing he made u happy :3 the way he sheepishly laughs when u ask if he is actually putting effort to which he just shrugs and awkwardly rubs his nape, rejecting eye contact. he rlly wasnt a good liar😓 ... the way he barely even tries to swing at u but still does, not wanting to seem like he has completely no spark to him. the way he waits until ur fully gone before huffing, mumbling smth abt how its kinda embarrassing to act like a noob at sparring .. it was worth it tho to see ur the glee on ur face :) he never did want to hurt u, practicing or not. if he did, ur getting DRAGGED to someone as he begs for them to see if ur hurt rlly bad (has done this before definitely when u fell and scraped ur knee just BARELY or smth) (<- just wants u to be ok) (<- biggest green flag lowkey...❗) u have to tell him desperately that ur fine or else he is just going to proceed to bring u to someone to help u

　　　⏤　 lingering everything. and by that i mean: lingering touches, lingering stares, lingering ... everything, as said. just seems like the person to be rlly obvious with how much he loves u. the touches were so gentle, as if a feather just lightly caressing over the skin, and the stares were so loving that u would expect his pupils to be practically shaped into hearts and the ocean blue of his eyes overall would become a pink-ish color just filled with affection alone and seeming as if he had been blessed by aphrodite themselves. it is such a painfully obvious thing that he just cant help, wanting to let his touch stay a little longer to feel the nice comforting feel of ur skin against just the tips of his fingers, his gaze to dash all over ur face as he tries deciding what to actually stare at which ultimately ends up everytime on ur own eyes just a little longer– he wanted time as a whole to stop just so he could stare at u forever. maybe it was the way the sun just beautifully illuminated ur skin, the way ur eyes shimmered ... blah blah blah. ur perfect in his eyes, case closed !!

dating this, dating that. it was always romantic stuff these days. percy never found the appeal at first, making a playful gag sound as someone longed on about their one and only. it wasnt like he never thought of having a partner of sorts, but it just seemed, well, weird, which was understandable for a kid of his age. being young, desiring a relationship could be likely, sure, but with percy he was unsure. as life progressed, he slowly came to realization that a partner could not only be a romantic interest he, himself, could long about like others have, but also be someone he could just lean onto at times. arguably, a partner was someone he could just really be himself with.

with ever-so much hesitancy, he slowly got into the loving life, and gods he never regrets it. maybe fate, maybe not, but the fact he stumbled upon you just on the day he finally decided to try out dating was a miracle to him. you left his heart clenching comfortably, stomach swirling with feelings he was just never sure of. was this what love truly felt like? maybe you were the one. he prayed to every god out there and to aphrodite specifically that he wouldnt stumble over his words like a love-sickened idiot.

would you even like him? his hair was really messy today. maybe you would like his messy hair? gods, he was thinking to deeply into this. youre just another person at camp. 'calm down,' he thought to himself and, obviously, it hadnt worked. when has that ever worked for him, realistically? whatever. off topic.

first time speaking to you and he, embarrassingly enough, had stuttered and his voice cracked about three times – great going percy, absolutely peachy job! one awkward conversation later, you surprisingly became his friend. he didnt know how that even happened, thinking on the spot of you seeing him that you would just ignore him or something ... where was his confidence? he sighed in relief nonetheless, knowing that with enough encouragement from him—and likely others because he was horrible at both keeping and hiding secrets—, that he would maybe have a chance.

"just say tons of jokes. maybe they like jokes ... gods i hope they like jokes." he mumbled to himself before slowly beginning to walk towards you, pace so slow it would almost seem like he dreaded talking to you which was quite the opposite. just talk. that was simple enough, right? hes got this, hes got this.

#scary #well only fcertain things.. i DO like being independent with a lot of stuff #but. this is about seeing my dads family again #bc my mom and sister both will never go to any of the get togethers or talk to them at all and havent in years #and i dont want to just?? lose contact with them all forever but i also get nervous about it like about seeing them but gaaahh #plus in addition to questions about my life they always ask me about my mom and sister and i have to answer for them too since they wont #ever see them #Like how did i become the family diplomat i am literally the worst with social skills in my immediate family and the youngest Come on #im the baby come on.#but its been like this for years now and not gotten any easier I DO LOVE my extended family thats why i still do this but #its aaalwwaayysss such a nervewracking thing bc i feel SOO AWKWARD and i dont know how to talk to people #and im more nervous than ever bc of the school thing. Much harder to seem like u have ur life together once ur 18 and 'should' be doing #certain things or having certain plans #or should have accomplished certain things #by now.. ie graduating #i just really hope my grandpa doesnt show up or if he does that he doesnt ask about school stuff #GODDDDDDDDDDDD #sorry im just so abysmally bad at being or feeling normal in social situations

I cannot recommend enough starting game series from the start. Both because if you get used to the clunky gameplay of earlier ones, the later ones will be easier (from experience, going the other way just makes the originals seem IMPOSSIBLE) and also bc it does in fact help w understanding the story. Also because honestly old games are so cool

#twist rambles #like. if i started with the wit/cher three (which i did) and was not patient enough to learn the mechanics of 1. i wouldn't have experienced #my fave game in the series. if i got into kof with like 13 or 15 #i wouldn't want to play 95 or 99. due to them being hard as shit. but im so glad i DID because the plot in those is very good #like. idk i think more people need to play older games when theyre accessible to them. i dont want to see hyper realistic+#games everywhere. when are we gonna post game sprites that are like 20 pixels maximum and be like wow 😳 i want her #all of that to say. emulating helps a ton w branching out w stuff and idk. just play older games and experience them #i will never feel the stress i felt when playing certain atari games EVER bc those are insane. anyways god. long and rambly but i think more #f/e fans should be lusting after the rly old guys. where is the hype for like saji <- does not know if ppl care abt him or not #or like. barts/bartz. anyways. yes please go emulate and also experience old games. a thing thats really funny about googling universities is you look up ‘good [area of study] university programs’ and it just gives you like. the top rated universities in general.

#like aye im sure uoft and mcgill and ubc are at the top of ur list no matter what program u put in #but just because theyre the most hoity toity of all the schools here doesnt mean each and every of their programs are the best. tbh #like actually i do think trent or dalhousie or ubc have for example good environment programs.#i dont however immediately think of uoft or mcgill for that.#not that i take much advice from googling these sorts of things because post secondary (in north america esp)#is REALLY a scam and all corporate controlled etc #not to mention that most post secondaries… are actually the same #you can get just as good of an education at for example brock uni as at uoft. but one has more prestige #like mostly it doesnt matter. tho re: my previous tags yes there ARE some better schools for certain things #im not taking art at western university when i could go to ocad or nscad!!#anyways i like looking these things up just to see what schools offer stuff im into. idc about ratings

I always see people saying this and its so strange to me because concerts here are as fun and exciting now as they were pre 2020 . Is it like a music genre thing a cultural thing or ??????? Because I fought so hard for my life at mitski and liam gallagher last month because everyone was jumping and pushing and just having the time of our lives . Gorillaz in may was just as fun . So my theory is this is a white people problem

#ive seen soooo much criticism abt concerts being boring now and i see clips and they Do look incredibly boring w everyone on their phones #and just standing there #But another thing is those complaining are always from the usa and/or europe so #bc here ppl r always fainting and stuff #and genuinely for a second at liam i was worried bc it was getting a bit too violent #but it was insanely fun #and i dont think its bc its like a rock concert bc my friends who r into other stuff also have lots of fun #and u can see everyone jumping and dancing and genuinely having fun #literally standing perfectly at a concert is unheard of here #at the strokes i was in the seated places and not a sould was seated and the floor was literally trembling during some songs #then again we are the people who literally created an earthquake because too many ppl jumped at the same time so #there are certain benefits to being from a third world country 🙏

BE NICE #static.soundz #sorry that last post was so directly inspired by seeing someone go can u guys be nice he is on a fucking nutbag schedule. which he is.#i dont think some people understand the insanity of comic production. and how much it takes a toll on you.#many have said and i will say it too: comics is a killing industry. it is a beautiful fun job. it is fulfilling. it will also destroy you.#the most common and easiest to use example is in fact the manga industry. they want chapters in a week. 20 page type chapters in a week.#A WEEK!!! and currently look at things like webtoon as well which also expect the same amount of pages. in a week. an issue in a week #is an insane demand. it is an unreasonable demand. it is scheduling that leads you to a crash and burnout and health issues #because it is fully finished polished pages. as much as i poke and complain about how some things look there #i am also highly aware of production schedules. even if some styles are not my taste that still doesnt mean it isnt insane work #and it's the same in american big industry comics too. it isnt weekly demand the way those are. but it's still an intense schedule #you are working on pages and can get behind years before those comics even hit shelves.#and as it becomes more individualized too as we lose the team element and work becomes more one person doing all pencils and inks #that schedule is a lot. it just is. it doesnt matter if theres more time in comparison to other parts of the industry #the point is that it is all very demanding and exploitative. there is a drive yourself to your grave mentality here and i've had ppl try #to shove that mindset onto my and my peers which is the worst thing possible to encourage. highly alarming and disheartening to encourage #impressionable students already so worried about making it to drive themselves to an early grave. abuse substances to get through work.#work excessive hours while you still can because when you hit your 30s youre gonna lose that ability #become bitter and prepared for rejection as opposed to success because this industry sucks!#it's just such an unhealthy depressing mindset. i've had more artists preach the exact opposite as that and more ppl have been trying to #shift over to valuing your time and health. but still a lot of people are in that other mentality. and it's very very very sad.#i am only a student doing very low stakes homework for classes. i have no industry experience. and i still get it taken out of me #to do fully fledged out pages in my style in one week. this is also just a thing for me bc certain personal factors just make it hard #but still. comics are fun. they are fun. they are fulfilling. they will lead you to so many fucking issues if you are not highly careful #there is a reason why so so so many fucking comic artists have very well known issues. why you hear about so many ppl with substance issues #artists with very poor mental health. when you are in comics this is how it is.#i am glad there has been a big shift in recent years towards taking care of yourself as an artist. and that more ppl try to value it so tha #things can hopefully change at large in a broader sense. but please remember. we are an exploited chew up spit out industry too.

so many thoughts abt how schewpid the jedi council is in kotor but also not sure if i should write abt any of them before i finish the game because it's entirely possible that i'm still missing some critical information,

#el plays kotor #blease blacklist that tag if u dont wanna see kotor spoiler stuff from me as i play the game #feels silly to warn abt spoilers for such an old game but. i only found out abt [redacted] a couple yrs ago #completely by accident. it didnt ruin my desire to finish the game and see how the story goes #but still. it did change the whole experience. and what if there r others out there who dont know yet. so. KOTOR SPOILERS AHEAD !!!!!#so anyway i was thinking. why would the jedi council send revan to find the star maps. when they strongly suspect that #the search for the maps was what corrupted revan and malak in the first place???#im assuming they want their new totally-not-revan padawan to succeed and stop malak????#and yet?? they didnt think to consider the possibility of revan falling to the dark side Again during this quest????#love how the jedi archivist/historian says the 'those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it' thing #and im just thinking. so true bestie. you should take your own advice maybe. lol. lmao even #like yes they've brainwashed revan but what makes them so confident that amnesiac revan won't go down the same path as before #wouldn't that be more likely even. because. revan does not remember their history.#and since they don't remember their history... they have nothing to learn from... and thus... could repeat their mistakes...#ok wait i just remembered that the historian gives amnesiac revan a lecture abt what revan and malak did #so yes they do get a history lesson to keep in mind and to learn something from.#but its still so...... the council has no way of being certain their master plan will succeed... they are taking a huge gamble here...#and sure capturing revan without wiping their mind was probably not an option to the council #bc revan would have simply refused to cooperate i guess. much easier to mold an empty mind :)#wow wow wow i hate the jedi order actually. yes the sith do these things too and also their color scheme is dark and thus they r Evil #but when the jedi with their light earthy tones do it its ok. because they are servants of the light. guardians of justice or whatev. sigh #also the council repeatedly warns revan abt the dangers of the dark side n how the force is so strong in revan n they need to be careful #and that they are 'willful and headstrong'. qualities that are potentially dangerous for a jedi to have. because Emotion Bad #and still the council just goes 'the warning signs are there but we have elected to ignore them :) surely it will be fine this time :)' ???#i think i need to stop thinking abt this its giving me psychic damage #there Must be something later down the line that makes this decision make sense. they cant be this stupif

4 hour session of pq today :3 here are some of the screenshots i took, mostly related to yosuke... (IM DISEASED ABOUT HIM!!! yosuke mentions are some of my favorite parts of this game!!!)

im 38%-ish done with the 3rd floor of the 2nd labryinth! i don't really have much to say this time because i think i mostly did battling, but i think that interactions with aigis and koromaru are a highlight for me... i love how loved koromaru is!

and i am also pleased to say that the exp sacrifice mechanic has been unlocked. thank fucking god. i keep getting personas flooding into my inventory and im here like "nooo stop that rn!!!"

mechanics-wise i think the only thing left right now is being able to obtain skill cards outside of quests and treasure... maybe they'll give that to me in a later dungeon (i would be very grateful, i love life aid from archangel and would love to transfer it to another navi-oriented persona for fuuka)

Learning that i cant really have friends online if i want ppl to like my art sucks

#too many ppl wanna stab ppl in the back or use them for clout and just keep up entire fake friendships just for whatever they might gain #and even then idk. the drama surrounding friends online never seems to be worth it bc it ALWAYS spills out to where everyone has to see it #it sucks but it also makes sense bc the more popular you get the less you wanna encourage parasocial relationships #considering how much u dont know ppl #and then they get way more confortable and familiar w you than you are of them bc you literally dont know who they are #idk. ig all the internet friendgroup drama i see online and have experienced in the past has kinda discouraged me.#also nowadays theres ppl who wanna dox you n shit and plenty of ppl have no morals and have no issue going ahead and pretending to be #your friend to get info out of you even if its just stuff they can use to make fun of you later and make you seem stupid or whatever??#i always idealized those artist friendgroups i see online but it always seems to come out that there was a lot of drama going on #inside of it. i just feel so discouraged from even interacting with people online #only certain ppl seem to be able to keep friendgroups online and it usually seems to be people who dont habe severe trauma and thus #arent confrontational like ever. like never.#even then tbh ppl try to drag them into drama even if they try to ignore and dismiss it

FOR SURE lmao i made. a diagram. just a warning that i am going to be irritating and long winded because u just hit a topic i really like sorry lmao

so first off i did some traces just to show whats there vs redraws to show my interpretation

ive said this on other asks but again jsyk, tracing isnt bad!! its a tool. theres some stuff with intellectual property and whatnot but using tracing to study shapes and forms is a really valuable practice.

also just taking some time to learn facial structures and anatomy is super useful, reading what bones and muscles are where and how they interact with one another. taking this info and staring in the mirror and moving your face around and thinking about it. just really furthers understanding of how the face works. trying to sound normal about this but i love anatomy and motion and physics and whatever

anyways im going to go through all the numbered points so there's no confusion. 1. forehead lines - self explanatory. more prominent when brows are raised 2. crows feet - at the outer corners of the eyes, more prominent when smiling or squinting 3. nasolabial folds - the folds that go from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth. more prominent when the mouth is wide, like smiling 4. brow furrow - self explanatory, most prominent when brows are furrowed. mccoy tends to have two right next to his eyebrows, kirk has one in the middle. everyones face works different lmao 5. chin crease - caused by how the chin and lower lip interact. 6. nasojugal groove - start from the inner corners of the eye and can extent over the cheeks. everyone has these and idk why people dont like them i think theyre really cool!!!! but Society. i guess. :/ 7. eye bags - caused by the skin sagging beneath the eyes. mccoy isnt even that old in tos i think hes meant to be mid 40s by the end of the 5 year mission, hes just got really prominent eye bags lmao 8. idk what the name is for these, but when the mouth is wide and pushes the skin to the sides, these folds sometimes form outside of the nasolabial folds 9. philtrum - the groove above the upper lip. i dont usually draw this but mccoy's struck me as prominent enough that i usually draw it on him 10. masseter - the muscle that moves the jaw up and down. its a pretty rugged muscle and while i wouldnt say mccoy's is especially prominent, it kind of extends that nasojugal groove from certain angles/positions 11. orbicularis oris - mouth muscle, usually easier to see when lips are pursed or frowns are pulled. mccoy's is pretty prominent from 3/4ths or side, his mouth tends to protrude in profile 12. this isnt a muscle but more of a line defining the planes of the face, but since i drew it i felt i should explain lmao

a few points:

im an animator i tend to exaggerate and emphasize certain things so i usually make him more square.

i like to combine eyebags and crows feet for brevity/flow, same with nasojugal grooves, eyebags, and masseter lines. my approach is always subject to change based on pose, expression, reference image, etc.

i take out details that i deem redundant or cluttering and keep what details i need to make things feel Right

all this info is applicable to any character of any age, its just in how you apply it and facial proportions that willl change how old a character is perceived to be

there's a lot more with drawing a Character rather than an Actor, just because the features are there doesnt necessarily mean things will feel correct? its very much in the mannerisms and poses and expressions

i only went over my approach to his likeness but not really body type or posing or anything idk if u want that i could always try to answer that later haha

Nasolabial Fold...... i jsut do what feels right with the visual info i have. also i love specificity in faces.... i dont like to be a hater but when every character is drawn the same it pisses me off a little lmao. so

also dont take my word as The Only Way to do anything i just draw how i like to draw and no one should feel like these are things that Must be done to be a good artist or anything do whatever the hell u wanna do
