Apologies if you've answered this before, but what's the device you draw on Livio/Razlo's ear? Is it similar to like a hearing aid or cochlear implant?

So I don't think it's ever actually discussed what the ear piece is in Maximum but I think it can safely be inferred that it has something to do with LR's third arm, a sort of control device- I like to imagine tho they were already missing their ear because it got blown off before they could do regeneration, so it was a handy spot to slap that thing on. I also like to think that if you take the cup portion off there's just a bunch of like, exposed nerves underneath-

As for the mask/wig combo ngl I'm a fan of Mr. Nightow's "it's there cause it looks Siiiiiiiick" rule- I do believe it does have a critical purpose in that it helps keep Livio and Razlo's identities separate. It's a combative advantage in that the 'enemy' doesn't know there's a second player with a different skill set, and any witnesses who see a fight can only say they saw either L or they saw R (given that usually only one is necessary for a fight), keeping the idea that LR are two separate bodied individuals alive

The design and material the mask is made of is interesting tho, as that its function is purely for aesthetics. It's incredibly fragile, as it shatters into pieces simply from falling and hitting the ground. It also probably requires a lot of time and effort it probably takes to put it on to get it to blend in perfectly with their real hair. Very style savy of them.

do you think, before the deal, castiel used to stand outside and close his eyes and tilt his face up to the sun? before the empty said "someday, when the sun shines down on your face, when you are truly happy, that's when i'll come?" do you think dean noticed him staying inside more, after? tried to encourage him to go out and garden? tried to invite him out to fish or walk or have a picnic? do you think dean saw it as a slight? except then, at night, castiel would join him on the hill above the bunker to stargaze, or sit beside him in his recliner in the deancave to binge a show and he'd think "maybe he's okay. maybe we're okay." do you think castiel started warming in the reflection of the sun, in the glow of the moon, because at least he could have that? at least he could have dean, sometimes, in secret, in the dark? a reflection of the light, so muted that it couldn't hurt him?

so it's ironic, then, that he'd be taken away underground, in a windowless room. that the only sources of light would be his own fading grace, the bulb of dean's soul, the sparks of a scythe scraping along the walls. that the sun would be long gone. that it would have been a metaphor.

During the production, when Ambrosius was decided to be East Asian, artists looked up queer East Asian-American men, and based Ambrosius off of them. Ambrosius is literally drawn to look like Eugene Lee Yang

im gonna start posting fanfic recs btw whenever i find good ones. both here and my (awfully barren) 18+ account. because there are so many good fics out there with so few hits and fewer kudos and sometimes no comments period and it SUCKS because i REALLY LIKE THEM A LOT.. and i hope that by linking them here and yelling at everyone to COMMENT DAMMIT they might actually do it

seriously though any comment means a lot. most people who read a fic don’t even give a kudos. even if the fic wasn’t top tier, if you didn’t dislike it, hand over some kudos!! and if you liked it, comment!!!! even if the comment is one singular heart emoji it will be appreciated. if the comment just says “great fic!” the author will be happy. your comment doesn’t have to be this long winded gushing or analysis.

so many authors quit writing or lose motivation because the comments are few and far in between or just sometimes nonexistent. trust me when i say authors don’t care about how long or cool or smart sounding your comment is i promise!!!

i hope that mmmaybe recommending fics and telling people to comment might help fics i really like get more support maybe. and i, points at you reading this, hope that you will listen!!!at least a little….at least sum kudos….
