were any of your pokemon a challenge to train/raise? how’d you go about overcoming it?

what. favorite? o_o

in general- flying pokemon. it feels like they fly right into danger and get two-shot. my solution is training them in riding and not using them in battle.

but with my gym- toxtricity. i get most of my pokemon from the wild, and wild toxtricity tend to have a prejudice against humans. they love fighting against authority and the toxel i adopted assumed i was authority. that little weirdo would not even listen to me until it evolved, then it would listen and choose to ignore me. realized i was doing the wrong thing by centering them, switched my strategy to distance. disregarded the pokeball and let them come in to watch me train ariados and scolipede by choice. they really like being out in the wild with my nidoqueen and nidoking, and learned a lot from them rather than me. they still are not really my pokemon, after battles they go out and forage oran and sitrus berries, and sleep in a nest by themself.

i’m gonna cry it’s raining right now and i just passed by a family where both parents were without an umbrella but their kid who couldn’t have been older than like 3-4 was proudly holding this GIANT umbrella whose diameter was as tall (if not taller) as the kid. both the parents were getting absolutely drenched but u could tell the kid was just so happy to have an ��adult” task and carry the umbrella themselves and i think that sacrifice is what love is all about
