Why is Tevinter so shallow? It isn't just about the lack of slavery (that, whatever else it is, however it was handled before, has been a pillar of Tevinter identity and inevitably leaves a hole in the narrative by being pratically missing). Why does the magisterium, the caste system, the Antaam invasion outside of Minrathous and the Black Divine play no role at all in its storyline?

Why the atrocities of the Crows (buying children, for example?) never come up during their faction quests?

Why do we hear nothing about the political side of the mortalitasi, how they control Nevarra from the shadows?

Why do we never even hear about Kont-aar even though we are in Rivain? Why there is no counterpoint to the (metaphorically, by qunari standards, mindless and souless) Antaam? Why is the qun completely missing from the game and the qunari reduced to cannon fodder the player has to cut down?

Why are the questions about magic that permeate every previous game absent here, especially when veilguard being set in the north could have given us such a unique viewpoint?

And, more importantly:

Why am I supposed to believe that no dalish elves would worship the gods they have already been worshipping their whole lives? That they wouldn't follow out of naivety, out of misplaced hope for a better future, out of fear, seeking to placate them?

Why am I supposed to believe that the gods would not even try to seek the dalish, when we are told by the previous games about the dalish hunters of legend, about how they are a mighty force to be reckoned with when united? Why do they only show up at the Blood of Arlathan quest, to play damsel in distress?

Why am I supposed to believe that no elves from the alienages would want to join the gods, because of every reason mentioned above, or out of spite or disdain for an uncaring world?

And yes, I know everyone learned the gods were evil off-screen. Why was it off-screen?

Also, where are the agents of Fen'Harel? Where are the people that vanished by the end of Trespasser?

Obviously, you can't expand on all of this in a single game, but why is all of it absent?

Why is bioware so afraid to engage with the world they created?

Right now, it doesn't matter that our federal programs and institutions need reform. YOU CAN'T REFORM SOMETHING ONCE IT'S GONE. It will take WAY more work (and harm way more people in the meantime) to rebuild from scratch than to work to save these programs now.

We NEED good people in the agencies and offices that are being targeted!! Or we are going to lose programs, resources, and data we worked for generations to build!

Pete Hagseth just got confirmed to be the Secretary of Defense....

If you don't know who he is, he is most known for being a fox news anchor and was formerly a rank 04 (aka major)in the military. For reference the highest a person can rank is an O10.

At his confirmation hearing couldn't answer question about international affairs and when asked if he would defy illegal orders from trump he refused to answer properly. Has written books stating he wants to bring back waterboarding, how he doesn't think we should follow the geneva convention and that america is above internstional law. Stated on fox news that women shouldn't serve in the military and should be mothers. Also told stories of when he was in the military and made his men ignore commands for superiors (which could get the dishonorably discharged). Wanted to pardon war criminals who were turned in by fellow soldiers. Had multiple failed companies, multiple claims of being drunk at work (disqualifying factor for the job), accused of rape but paid off victim and made her sign an nda(disqualified factor if it had gone to court). And claimed every bad thing against him was "anonymous smears" even though they had records of and names of these accounts (including his mother).

I'm so disgusted that the government would even allow for this repulsive human being to be the secretary of defense.He has no sense of right and wrong and will do anything trump asks of him. Legal or not. Constitutional or not.

Something interesting in regards to the Voteless in Helldivers 2 on the ship broadcast has been stuck in my mind for the past while.

According to this specimen's brain scan, the brain activity seems to trigger the most in regards to the forklift, which can lead to a few conclusions. Maybe this guy was formerly a forklift operator? Did they work in construction? Is the brainwashing the Illuminate put the Voteless affecting their brainwaves, so they react to construction more as a means of labour? But the more funnier way of interpeting it, is that this Voteless was forklift certified before being transformed.. Or regardless of past certification or not - wants to drive the forklift.

Even after transformation into a mindless zombie, the forklift fantasy remains.
