y'all i know kacchan dying like that must have been traumatizing for the bkdk shippers, but like.... he also died in the gayest way humanly possible.... like i can't even imagine going through that bc on one hand it's like my special boy is dead, but on the other he was so love interest coded, shiggy killed him specifically bc of izuku's intense feelings about him, the fucking yearning for izuku as he died, and then the reveal he carries the little all might card he got with izuku around with him like. i cannot stress enough just how gay his death was. like i just know the shippers had to be a little conflicted

The Justice League are investigating a series of accidents in a haunted newly-abandoned high rise, and call in Constantine to take care of the problem.
Danny is retrieving one of his wayward subjects from the same building.
Quiet murmurs fill the stuffy room as the leaguers sent to deal with the problem wait for Constantine to sort out their problems for them. One of the newer heroes shrieks as a door flings open and a white haired teenager all but struts through.
“Connie! It’s been a while since we ran into each other like this-!” is all he manages to say before John yanks him by the wrist and chucks him out the open window.
The heroes freak out, (their coworker just threw a child out the window!) and demand to know why he did that.
“Every time i run into him, without fail, something always happens!” The kid knocks on the window next to the one he was tossing out of, floating like he’d never even heard of gravity, and John lets out a string of very creative curses about the trouble magnet ghost king.
Half a second later, he’s just proven right when a hair raising shriek and a rumble like an earthquake shake the building.

some of my friends n family have been asking to commission knitting projects from me 4 the holidays so i l accepted a handful of projects and they r being so niceys to meeeee
#i feel rly under qualified but i’m rly only accepting projects of things ive made before already or that i feel rly confident i can do well#i also feel bad charging ppl so i’m pretty much just having them cover the yarn cost lol but they r all very generous tippers which i didnt#even consider or account for 🥺#but at my job i am able to knit all day long so smaller gift-y items get finished quickly bc i basically spend my 10 hour shifts knitting#but idk ! its kind of fun#i typically have a hard time holding momentum on gift knits so having a small amount of incentive to keep making them makes it so much more#fun and fulfilling !!!#they r getting a very good deal by just paying for yarn + a tip if they choose and i am getting to make gifts w more consistent motivation#anyway idk it’s just fun to me i’m rly excited to ship out this stuff#it’s like pretty much ALL going back to my hometown 🥺#so far it’s all mittens gloves scarves + socks which i loveeee knitting#anyway if anyone is interested in a good deal on a handmade knit item from someone who is learning all the time + likes to keep busy#send me a dm <3#personal#knitting

i am still not over the fact arlecchino is referred to as "father" by the house of the hearth kids btw. the gender of it all
#i cant articulate this ugh#its just. the idea that she plays not the role of mother#where nurture and compassion would typically be expected of her#but the role of father. where a more stern and i guess distant sort of love might be typically expected. Can we all collectively start to view parents who post online about the "fuck-ups" their child did as what it is - abusive? I genuinely do not care about the "reason" somebody has for posting their child on the internet, if it can be "solved" in the public court of shame and humiliation, it can be solved in a home that should love them.
Public humiliation is not an appropriate response to a child being a child. If your first line of defense is airing out your dirty laundry to millions of strangers, you are at best not mature enough to be a parent, and at worst, you are completely abusive and should not be a parent, and both options are pretty grim.

week 1 of total sobriety is concluding with some pretty good results. i always worry that i dont have any fun sober but it really takes like 6 days for be to revert to my au naturel insanity which is honestly pretty good

the conversation on artist merch and manufacturing is one i'm interested in because i like having my digital pictures as physical objects now and then and i don't know enough about the ethics or economics of it to have a real stance on it, but i do know enough about it to know that a lot of the folks talking about it don't know enough to be talking about it
#the last acrylic charm i got was from an artist in mexico who either owns a laser cutter or visits the manufacturer frequently#and her prices were about the same as everyone else's#so it can probably be done ethically (labor-wise) w/o much change in costs but you can't know if it's ethical unless you know the workers#CoL is one thing but so is the fact that some countries have more manufacturers who cater to that market than others#i've done a quick look into US plastic cutting companies and they often don't have the *printers* necessary for this kind of work#or they cater toward advertising so they're not interested in anything other than printing a logo on 200 keychains#but if we start talking about materials? it never ends#an enamel pin or acrylic charm is more durable than anything your typical indie artist can make at home#the plastic and emissions that go into artist merch is so small compared to what big companies are doing#and you can't blame the consumption of plastic goodies on american tastes without sounding ignorant of like. the world.#but that doesn't justify putting more plastic out there y'know?#there's also the 3rd angle of “artist merch is better when it's more diy”#which i agree with in the sense that i don't particularly like going to reptile shows and seeing the same 3d printed toys everywhere#but that's not a concrete issue so much as sellers responding to a market where those things sell best#people like colorful goodies. there's not much that can be done about that.#it's a lot more nuanced than a lot of folks want to say but nuance doesn't interest people and it doesn't get notes

love how my shitty health insurance chose THE perfect time to expire. just really impeccable timing
#pentababbles#it expired on november 1st out of nowhere#i was on my dad's health plan but he got a job with a separate health plan and forgot to renew his other insurance#i was supposed to be able to stay covered under united healthcare until 2026.#sure that would've only given me two more years but at least then i'd have time to plan what to do next#what's especially annoying is how much trouble i had with my insurance previously when i tried switching my pcp#and this happens to be THE time of year when i typically get sick#just this september i was hospitalized for a severe asthma attack/respiratory infection combo#which could've been prevented if i could've gotten my asthma medicine from my allergist sooner#but ofc i had to go thru a ridiculous snafu dealing with doctors and insurance just to get a damn referral#and literally on the day my insurance ran out i caught a cold.#i'm running low on my antidepressants and my asthma medicine already.#i have a little money in my savings for emergency so if worse comes to worse i can at least get my medicines refilled#but. i can't go back to the doctor for more tests bc it'll cost too much.#i only have a part time job as an assistant teacher. i only get paid hourly and it's not that much#even if i did get a salaried position at this job the insurance benefits aren't that great and the pay is much better#plus since i work with kids they're very germy so i'm always at risk of getting sick and having to go to the doctor#i don't want my insurance to be tied to my job but i need to get a better job anyways. so i can start digging myself out of this hole#i need to get my vaccines updated stockpile lifesaving medications and get a new job with insurance before jan 20#bc i need to survive. i need to outlive the empire no matter what#and i need to be there for my friends
