There was nothing wrong with getting a boob job—absolutely nothing. But pretending like you hadn’t? That was just lame, in Lando’s opinion.

i'm just sitting here rereading the latest chapter of your babyzai fic for the 3rd time and i keep coming back to that one scene in which chuuya and yosano discuss babyzai's more-than-a-little-concerning silence. every time i read it i end up giggling and kicking my feet thinking about chuuya's future reaction whenever babyzai /does/ say something. obviously i don't know what your plans are, but my current bet is that his "first word" is going to be chuuya's name (or a variation of it) simply because - how cute would that be? i actually thought babyzai was going to call out to chuuya on that last chapter when he started crying and reaching out after the dissociation episode. the fact it didn't happen is just making me MORE excited wondering when it might happen!!
AHHHHH I CANT TELL YOU HOW HAPPY THIS ASK MADE ME 🥺🩷🩷
omg yes, it was so hard to not let babyzai call out to Chuuya last chapter 😫 like that’s exactly the direction my ✨writer flow✨ was leading me, but i’m so glad to hear that the choice to hold off has paid off & made the anticipation build 🥹
the moment babyzai speaks for the first time (& what he says) has been one of the things i’ve been most excited to write since planning this fic, so tysm for looking forward to it too 😭🩷🫶🏻
i don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say that that moment may be coming sooner than you think 🤭

in which: Franco’s flirting with the journalists almost causes him to lose something dear.
pairing: Franco Colapinto x journalist!fem!reader
warnings: angst, fluff (at the very end), Franco being clueless and stupid, borderline emotional cheating, not proof read (sorry!!), use of y/n
an: sorry this is so late I’ve been sick and it’s also exam week. n e way, ty to everyone who has been patiently waiting ♡︎
‧‧₊˚ ⋅* ۶ৎ ‧₊ ‧₊˚ ⋅
Franco was a flirt. It was in his blood. It happened without him even thinking about it. Like an instinct. Everyone was sure that flirting was his fuel, like it was his coffee in the morning.
You always thought his persistent flirting during interviews was quite funny. You would remain professional while he tried every trick in the book to get you to break. It never happened, and it massively intrigued him.
He begun to purposefully flirt with you, and eventually worked up the courage to ask you out.
That was two months ago, and you’d been dating since. You thought your relationship was good, and while it may have been too early to say, you felt secure. Well, up until your conversation with Marie.
Marie, one of your journalist friends, walked along with you through the paddock. “Franco has a serious flirting problem. I thought he would have stopped after I agreed to that date with him but I think if anything, he’s more persistent.” You laughed, but it actually worried you a little. While there wasn’t any threat to your position yet, you felt a looming anxious feeling that your boss would eventually do something about his very public displays.
“Oh that’s just him. He flirts with all of the journalists.” Marie let out a small chuckle. Your face fell, your steps faltered. “What do you mean?” You were hesitant with your inquiries. Her words insinuated a fact you did not want to face. “Well, you didn’t think it was just you, did you? I know you’re dating and all, but before that—and even now—he still flirts with like all the girls.” Marie spoke to you in a tone that suggested the fact was common knowledge. Maybe it was, but you still weren’t aware of it.
You felt totally blind sighted. Betrayal twisted in your gut, swirling the contents of your lunch and threatening to force them back up. “I’ll… I’ll catch up with you later.” You fumbled to excused yourself from the conversation and ran the last few meters to your car.
In the solitude, you didn’t know what to do. Were you to scream? Cry? Curse the air? “Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.” You chose to be angry, hitting the steering wheel with every word. “How could you be so stupid?” You grip the wheel, your head falling forward to rest your forehead on the top of the faux leather. “Of course this would happen.” You laugh pathetically to yourself. “Of course!” You gasp, tossing yourself back against the seat. Your arms thrown out to the side. “He’s hot. He’s famous now. I’m just a journalist!” You had not realized you started crying until the hot streams steadily flowed down your face. You flipped the visor down to peer at yourself in its mirror. “Why would he want you?” You stare through your own eyes, trying to find an answer to your question, but doubt had already infected every region of your brain and you couldn’t see past it.“Stupid.” You muttered under your breath, and shoved the visor back up.
In silence, you drove yourself back to your hotel. You just wanted to shower the events of the day away, and bury yourself into your notes.
As you were flipping through your notes and rewatching the clips from the prologued media day, your phone began to buzz.
Tumblr media
You left him on read. His obliviousness had started to irritate you. It wasn’t fair to you. He couldn’t have it both ways. He couldn’t have you and still flirt with other women. It was borderline emotional cheating.
He was one floor away. You could confront him in person, but you had no proof. You had no proof. It hit you then that you were believing Maria’s words without an ounce of proof, just a belief on the base of friendship. You opened a new tab on your laptop, quickly searching Franco’s name. You selected the first video of him that came up, a spark of hope in you that Maria had been lying.
However, that spark quickly diffused. Within the first twenty seconds of the interview, Franco was flirting with the journalist. To make matters worse, she was a journalist you were acquainted with, one you knew he had seen you chat with on numerous occasions.
You were just another journalist. You were nothing special to him.
This time, it wasn’t betrayal that overrode your senses. It was anger that ignited a fire in your stomach. Anger at the audacity. Anger at your own stupidity and obliviousness. Anger at this acquaintance.
You shut the laptop in one forceful shove.
———
Friday came quickly after a tireless sleep. You stood in the media pen as the drivers gave you dull answers to your questions about free practice. It didn’t affect you that much, as your eyes kept drifting to find the boy adorned in his deep blue fireproof shirt.
Often times your eyes only absorbed his bored figure, his eyes darting everywhere but the journalist who was wringing him for answers. The other times though, you’d caught him in the act, his body language unmistakable. The kind of body language that could only be accompanied by flirty words and that charming smile—which only ever made an appearance when he was flirting.
Dread burdened you, weighing heavy on your heart. “You okay?” Alexs body was stretched past the barrier, and he asked the question lowly so the mic wouldn’t pick up his voice. You realized you’d left him in silence for more time than what was considered professional.
Alex and you have gotten closer through your relationship with Franco, nearly close enough for you to comfortably call him a friend.
“Yeah, sorry. Spaced out.” You laughed, trying to brush it off, but the sound came out nervous and laden with the dread that caused your heart to ache.
Alex wasn’t stupid. He’d followed your eyes and seen the disappointment that clouded your expression. He refused to comment on it then and there, only bringing it up to Franco in private.
“Did something happen between you and y/n?” Alex questioned his teammate. They stood together in the back of the garage while the team finished up their duties for the day. “No. Why? Did she say something to you? I think she’s avoiding me.” Franco spoke quickly, hoping to squeeze an explanation out of his teammate.
“She didn’t say anything,” Alex started, to which Franco huffed. “But when she was interviewing me, she was completely zoned in on you, but she looked…” Alex tried to find the word to describe your expression. “Upset? Like with the look on her face, my first thought was that the two of you broke up.”
Franco scoured his memories for whatever event would have caused you to act in such a way. To look at him with such an expression. He could only shrug, completely clueless. “I don’t know. But last night she was making excuses not to come over, and this morning when I asked her if she wanted to eat breakfast together, she made more excuses.” Your distance frustrated Franco. Sure, he saw you in the media pen, and in the paddock, but he had to keep things somewhat professional there. He couldn’t be affectionate.
Alex sighed and clapped Franco on the shoulder. “I think you’re gonna just have to corner her, mate.”
———
It was not his intention to be creepy. But by standing outside what was seemingly a random person’s hotel room, he definitely achieved that.
You rounded the corner of the hotel’s hallways. You were rapidly typing something on your phone, unaware of his presence just a few meters away.
To not startle you completely, he softly called your name. Your footsteps ceased, your eyes wide as they stared at him. After a moment, your expression changed from one of shock, to one of distaste. From where you stood, you dug your keycard from your bag. You ignored him, brushing past him to let yourself into the room.
He stopped the door before it closed on him. “Y/n come on. You’ve been avoiding me all day.” Franco pleaded with you. You laughed bitterly. “Yeah, it’s on purpose.” You muttered, tossing your bag onto the bed. “But why, amor? What have I done?” He followed you with his eyes, watching as you stood as far away from him as possible. “You’ve made me look like a fool!” You exclaimed. Your eyes, glaring at him with a terrifying level of ferocity, were covered with a sheen of tears.
Franco’s expression twisted into a look of confusion, which only fueled your fury. “How- I don’t understand?”
“You’ve been flirting with every other journalist! And everyone sees it. Do you realize how humiliating that is for me?” A tear ran hot and slow down your cheek. You didn’t bother wiping it away.
“Flirting with…” Franco sighs, “the only journalist I flirt with is you.” He took a step forward, but didn’t dare to progress any further as your hand shot up to stop him. You swallowed the knot in your throat. “I was really hoping you’d just own up to it.” You tell him quietly, your disappointment palpable. You took your laptop from the back, typing something quickly. “Tell that to the videos.” You tossed the laptop on the bed to face him. He watched his own face on the screen as he flirted with a woman who wasn’t his girlfriend.
Franco never even realized he’d been flirting.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I had no idea.” He confessed. She laughed at his apology. “No idea? Come on, you can think of a better excuse than that.” She shot back harshly. She crossed her arms over her chest, physically closing herself off from him.
“I’m honest!” He pleaded. “It was fully accidental. I would’ve never done that to you on purpose.” He shook his head with fervor, trying to make her understand. “You remember how I was when I flirted with you! I was a mess, fumbling over my words.” He continued, but it did little to convince her.
She shook her head. “Just leave, Franco.” She instructed, her voice quiet but firm.
He froze. His heartbeat slowing to a dull, stagnant rhythm. His body felt heavy, as if someone replaced all of his blood with lead. “Are you— ending this? breaking up with me?” He shook his head, not wanting to believe it himself.
She considered the question for a moment. “No. But I need time.”
“So… a break?” Franco’s voice cracked.
“I don’t know.” She took a deep, shaky breath. “Just go, please.”
“Y/n-“
“Franco.”
The firmness in her voice got his body moving again. The last thing he wanted was to upset her, so he did as she requested. Without another word, he exited her hotel room.
———
It had been week. A long, agonizing, painfully lonely, and miserable week.
He missed her texts. The morning and night ones, and all those in between. Including the daily updates about whatever seemingly mundane activity she was conducting.
He missed her voice. Her laugh. Her jokes.
At least he got to see her face, even if it was from across the paddock. Even if it hurt him. It hurt him to see you. His stomach lurched, a crippling pain blooming inside his stomach at the sight of you. On top of that, it felt like someone had a white-knuckle grip on his heart.
It made him come to the scariest of realizations, one he would never admit this early on. Especially not when things between you two felt over.
To make matters worse, you had to interview him.
“Quite a decent Friday for you and the team. Do you think you can continue the momentum into tomorrow?”
It was terrifying to him, the way you looked right through him. Like he was every other driver here. Like he was nothing special to you. He pushed down all of his feelings, forcing himself to be professional for once.
“Uhm,” unwillingly, his voice cracked. He quickly cleared his throat. “Yeah, definitely. I think the car is well suited for the track, so we’ll definitely try and get through to the last of qualifying tomorrow.”
“Thank you, Franco.” He frowned, usually you’d have more than one question for him. At least three at the minimum. But you’d turned around and started conversing with your camera guy. He supposed it made sense, but it still hurt.
———
Somehow, Franco went the whole weekend without cornering you and forcing you to give you guys a label, whether it be broken up or on a break. He needed a definitive name for what was going on. He needed you to define the boundaries.
So he found you in the paddock club, sitting by yourself with a coffee cup in front of you. Silently, he took the empty seat across from you. You looked up, and took a shaky breath at the sight of him. You tried to stand and bolt out of there but he was quick to grab hold of your hand. “Y/n, please. I just need to know what we are now.” He pleaded, his voice so low that you nearly missed his words.
You glanced at your surroundings. “Can we go somewhere more private?” You felt too exposed to have this conversation here. Too many peering eyes. Franco nodded quickly.
He led you to his driver’s room, the thought to lock the door crossing his mind but he didn’t want to freak you out, so he kept the lock undone.
“I don’t know what we are.” You confessed with a deep sigh. “I know, and that’s killing me.” Franco muttered and sat on the physio bed. “I don’t know if I can talk to you, or text you, or call you, or even look in your direction.” He fiddled with his fingers. Like he said, he wasn’t sure if he could look at you.
You leaned against the wall across from him, crossing your arms over your chest. “You hurt me. You humiliated me. You made me feel like I was worthless. Like I was nothing special to you.” The disclosure wasn’t intended to hurt him, or incite pity in him. You just wanted him to understand.
He nodded. “I know. I know. And I’m so sorry for that. It was fully my fault and I can’t change what I did, and I know that. And you’re so so special to me. More than you know.” It was impossible to describe just how much he cared for you without dropping those three little words on you. “If you want to break up, or want a break, I get it. But I- I don’t want that.” He met your eyes. His big brown eyes silently pleaded with you. His puppy look was always impossible to resist.
You pushed off the wall, stepping to stand in front of him. “I don’t want that either.” You told him honestly. His big brown eyes looked up at you and glimmered with hope. “But it might take me a little time for me to trust you again.” A subtle smile outlined Franco’s lips. “So… we’re still…?” He was hesitant with his words, leaving the labels up to you. “Boyfriend—girlfriend?” You suggested. His smile broadened. He gave a subtle nod.
“Yes.” You answered simply.

Yamaha XT500: slowing down
Contents: bts of Yamaha XT500, providing context of their conversation, slight sexual language, angsty, inappropriate workplace behaviour?
You’re nervous.
The past week has been uncomfortable and awkward. Your boss was preoccupied with another girl, and you know you shouldn’t be jealous; she’s a client. But to watch him be so attentive, so patient, and so accommodating of another girl, it made your chest hurt.
There you were, sitting behind your desk with a smile, waiting to greet your boss but he’d barely glance at you, gliding past to his office without even a word. When you’d bring him coffee, he wouldn’t even look up, he’d just continue scribbling or typing on his computer.
Sure, he was busy.
Everyone was.
But it wasn’t right for him to give you so much attention the first couple months and then take it all away like it meant nothing. Like you meant nothing. Your sister said it hurts a lot for you because it’s your first love, and whilst you’re not sure that what you’re feeling for Suguru is love indeed, you still appreciate that you’re new to this whole thing.
Why are men such mysteries?
How ever did Helen of Troy, or rather of Sparta, circumvent this maze?
The romance books you’ve read couldn’t give any insight. They all somehow follow the same pattern of ‘boy meets girl, they like each other, boy hurts girl, boy kisses girl, and girl forgives boy, and they live happily ever after’.
And pardon your French, but that just seems like utter lunacy!
Technically, Suguru hasn’t done anything wrong, he’s just doing his job. But he still hurt you and you can’t give in to his sweet words and pet names, no matter how they make you blush and press your thighs together.
So, after his messages insisting you have lunch together, you wait out at the front of the studio. It’s getting colder and you wish you had brought a thicker jacket, but you only have your sister’s hoodie. You hope she isn’t walking around town today otherwise she’ll rip it right off you.
It’s only fair you take her jacket when she took your heels to go to a party, sneaking past your room like the little devil that she is.
“Ready to go, pretty?”
There it is again.
That smooth tone and heart-fluttering pet name. You’re blushing again when you turn to meet his eyes. He’s so tall, kind eyes smiling at you as he closes the door. He takes a quick sweep of your figure before he sighs and drapes a scarf over your shoulders, tying a knot so that your neck is all warm and cozy.
Don’t fall for it!
You thank him and then step aside so he can lead the way. Both of you stroll through the neighbourhood, smiling at passersby and weaving around tourists who take up the entire pavement. Having watched a bunch of romance shows too, you’re painfully aware of the fact that he’s following the sidewalk rule, standing as a barrier between you and the road.
It was a seamless move, done as if on autopilot, as if he’s simply the type to sacrifice himself. He’s a really good boss. Always choosing to stay overtime to finish up on paperwork instead of letting another member of staff handle it, taking the brunt of complaints and nasty customers, and his officer door’s always open for his employees.
Except, of course, that one time when you had shut it so you could have a little…well, you don’t know what to call it. But whatever it was, it’s been stuck in your mind since then. And you can’t even count the number of times you’ve cum to the thought of it, to the feel of his hands on you.
Thank goodness your sister’s out so often.
“The weather’s taking a turn for the worse, you should start wearing thicker clothes,” he advises.
You tuck your chin into his scarf, smelling that familiar scent of musk and late nights, and the faintest hint of gasoline. When he glances down at you, you nod.
“Yeah, I will.”
Earlier in the week you had ran into your friend. She was frazzled over the lawsuit against the university and the ugly professor, hands frantically typing away and hair tied up haphazardly in her unofficial spot in the corner of the library, facing the south windows.
You hesitated to talk to her in case she was really busy and would feel burned by a conversation, but when she saw you, she let out a genuine, but strained smile. The case had been taking a lot from her. You admire her so much. Always so hardworking, so easy to approach, and so eager to help, no matter what she’s going through.
She pushed her laptop to the side and gestured for you to sit. And for half an hour straight, you complained about your problems with your boss. Looking back now, you can only cringe at the memory. How thoughtless of you. It’d be wise to avoid any pool of water, lest you fall into your own reflection.
But she still took the time to hear you out and give advice.
“I don’t really know this Suguru person, but it does sound like he was genuinely busy. I think it’d be good to hear what he has to say and go from there.”
And of course that makes sense. It’s rational, logical, the kind of thinking a law student would have. Perhaps you should have gone to a drama student who would have told you to faint in front of him and pull at his heartstrings.
Before you know it, you reach a cafe.
Suguru lets you in first, placing a hand at your back to direct you to a table by the window. It’s a seat with a great view of a park, the leaves have turned various shades of orange and red, drifting downwards in spirals, descending with grace.
You sit in front of him, unravelling the scarf and placing it on your lap. Oddly enough, as you both look over the menu, it doesn’t feel awkward like you had been expecting.
It feels normal.
Like you’ve done this a million times before.
And it’s only once the server takes your orders, that you both look at each other. He’s still smiling both with his lips and his eyes, and it’s the kindest, most reassuring smile you’ve ever seen. The kind of smile you find yourself searching for in every stranger, only to come up empty-handed.
But there’s something else there, resting on his features. The crinkles by his eyes are ever so slightly more visible, and the circles under them are just tiniest shade darker. Suguru’s really been worked to the bone recently.
“Is the campus more chaotic than usual? With the protests and all.”
You shrug. “A little. People are really upset with Eden’s decision to only suspend Professor Mahito despite the mounting evidence against him.”
Suguru nods thoughtfully, accepting the drinks that the server brings over. You’ve opted for a hot chocolate and he’s drinking coffee. He doesn’t tease you over your order of extra whipped cream like your sister does.
“And you believe the accusations?”
“Of course!” You say that with a little more passion than intended, likely feeling offended he even needed to ask. You’re embarrassed but he doesn’t laugh at you, only lifts his cup to hide his amused smile.
He’s always smiling.
But most times it never feels genuine.
After a sip of his coffee, he adds, “I believe them too. Much of the pro-Mahito rhetoric centres around his work as a professor, but not much about his character. And if I may, my run-ins with him during my time were never particularly pleasant.”
You nod. “I just hope it all gets settled on. Everyone deserves peace.”
Something about what you said pleased him because then his smile is widening and he places his cup down and leans back in his chair. You know what this means; he’s going to get serious.
The talk is going to happen now.
“About my client,” you suck in a breath, “you think she was something more?”
Biting your lip, you consider your words very carefully. “I think you gave her special attention. One that you don’t give to any other client, not even celebrities.”
The food arrives and you glance up at him before taking a bite, wondering why he isn’t answering immediately. Is he considering his words carefully too? If he is, what does that mean for you? Is he doing it because he doesn’t want to hurt you or because he doesn’t want to let you in any more than he must to keep the peace?
Your mind is racing, and you chew without even really tasting your food.
His finger taps against his fork, and then he drops his smile and sits up straight.
“You’re right. She wasn’t just another client. She was special.”
A chill pierces your chest. It stuns you, rendering you frozen, forced to bathe in the words like a cold plunge. You want to throw up and run. But you’re pinned to your seat with his steely gaze. It’s insistence, urging you to listen. You can’t look away. Not when, even at the worst moment of the time you’ve had with him, he still looks so mesmerising, a marble statue carved only with the most ardour and the brightest hope for mankind.
Suguru lets out a breath, perhaps relieved you haven’t left. At least he understands why you would. He owed you that much at least.
“There are clients,” he begins with an authoritative tone as if his words are factual and you’re captivated by the musical cadence of his warmth, like he’s telling you a bedtime story, “who come, not with money but, with stories.”
You don’t really know where he’s going but you place your cutlery down and reach for your mug of hot chocolate like its searing heat could keep you grounded, keeps you tethered to the ground and protected from his lulling voice, a pied-piper amongst normal men.
“They’ve been seen the darkness the world has to offer, ventured into places we can’t even fathom. And certainly, places I would never wish for you to have been.”
Something about his cautioning words compel you to nod.
When his fingertip touches yours and sends a tingle through your hand, following the veins, you realise he’s inched his hand closer, to feel yours, even just to feel the atoms breathe near other seems to calm him. Perhaps he needs tethering too.
“Riko was special -is- special. She’s a girl who’s been through a lot.”
You’re breathless, dazed from the feel of his skin. You want to pull away so you can have clarity of mind, but you can’t. “She’s been to those places?”
Suguru nods, a bitter flash crossing his features.
“She was running from people who wanted to take from her. Who only ever saw her as a vessel and not as a person. And she’s come very far on her own. She wanted something to remind her of who she is. Not a little girl, not a vessel or a mere victim, but a survivor.”
Your lip trembles.
The girl you had seen was so bright, she grinned with mischief and spoke with so much energy you felt invigorated just by listening, even when you didn’t want to. The extent of what she’s faced is something your mind just cannot venture to. And you’re wracked with guilt, it gnaws at your heart, squeezing in punishment.
You might throw up for a whole different reason.
This entire time you had been cursing her out in your head, feeling jealous of all the attention she was getting, but it never even occurred to you that she might have needed the attention, needed to feel normal and cared for, in the way you do.
You lick your lips, tasting the sweetness of the chocolate there and force your features to lighten. “I understand. Thank you for sharing that with me.”
Suguru doesn’t look convinced, and he opens his mouth to carry on but you only press your finger to his like one would boop a baby on the nose. It’s what your father does to you and your sister when you argue, an effective way of disorienting you enough to shut you up.
It’s the first time you’ve ever done it but it works wonders because your boss only tilts his head and watches your hand do it again. His expression lightens too.
There’s a renewed atmosphere to the table, like a veil had been lifted; you hadn’t realised just how heavy it all was until you’re grinning and spooning more food into your mouth.
“She’s okay now, though?”
And when Suguru nods, you’re pleased with the answer. Truly.
Wherever Riko is, whatever she’s doing, you hope she’s safe. And above all, happy. And if she must return to Uzumaki for solace, for protection, for friendship, you swear there and then, you’d welcome her with open arms.
“Did you hear about Gojo’s fiancee?”
Suguru laughs, images of his best friend’s faces flashing in his eyes. “Have I ever? Satoru hasn’t stopped complaining. He spams me day in and day out, sends a bunch of voicemails to both my personal and work phones, and when I wouldn’t answer, he’s been showing up at work.”
You’re giggling. “I know! Nowadays he just walks in and groans at me that you’ve abandoned in his ‘time of need’, whatever that means.”
There’s a softness in his tone, even as he makes fun of his friend, and you feel its embrace when he admits, “Satoru’s always been very dramatic, but he’ll be fine.”
“My sister says his fiancee’s like the complete opposite of him, appearance-wise. Something about being goth?”
“I’ve met her,” he smirks when you gasp. “Don’t look so surprised. You forget I was once a student at Eden. She and I were classmates. And she’s going to him a run for his money.”
The conversation continues with laughter, a feather-like lightness carrying you both along. For two hours, even well after both of your plates are empty, you chat. You update him on what you’ve been up to for the past week, rambling about the most mundane things like they were a crisis and he nods along, never once interrupting, as if content to sit there for however long and listen.
And when you walk back to the studio, there isn’t a moment of silence. Not even when both of you have stopped talking.
This is perhaps the only time since you began working at Uzumaki that you’ve spoken, not as boss and employee, and not even as two people with an inexplicable tension of the sexual kind. But rather as friends.
It felt good.
To know where you stand with someone.
Sitting back down behind your desk and watching Suguru flash you another smile before he retreats into his office, you reach a conclusion.
Friendship is good for you and him.
You need it before anything else.
And those are the terms he’ll have to agree with.

What about Bruce"sneaking out" to go on date with the reader. His son's obviously follow him to see what their father is up to. When they realize that he's going on a date, they tease him the next day because 'the playboy is settling down'
Oh yeah. That would happen. Also, Robert Pattinson is hot. Like, sir, who gave you the right to be this beautiful?! Ah...
Summary: Bruce is ready to settle down.
Warnings: talks about Bruce's sexuality, boys following Bruce, teasing, Bruce has no will to deal with them.
Tumblr media
Bruce Wayne is a very known playboy. That was a fact that no one could dispute. But the playboy was slowly getting ready to settle down, but he didn't want anyone to know just yet. He knew that his playboy history would bite him in the ass, but hey, he could try something at least.
With someone called (Y/N) (L/N). Bruce met the man by accident at work and has really liked him so he decided to shoot his shot with the man. (Y/N) knew of the playboy persona and history with many men and women and that threw him off.
Bruce knew that (Y/N) would be suspicious because of his playboy persona. That was going to happen, but Bruce wasn't going to let this chance go to waste. Bruce promised (Y/N) that he wasn't like the media made him out to be.
(Y/N) didn't quite believe it, but Bruce was patient. He was going to win (Y/N) over one way or another. Slowly but surely he would make him say yes. He would show (Y/N) that he wasn't what the media portrayed him to be.
So he started with some flowers first. A few bouquets to start off with. Then something that he heard (Y/N) talk about while they talked. He wanted to make sure that (Y/N) knew that he was an attentive and observant partner.
(Y/N) said yes eventually and Bruce was over the moon. He told (Y/N) they would be going to go to a really fancy restaurant, all expenses paid by Bruce. His own words.
Bruce finished tying his tie as he looked at himself in the mirror. He opted for a classic black suit. Classics are often great and there was no need to try to overdo things. It's important that he remains true to yourself.
The only issue in this entire thing?
His boys. Don't get him wrong, he loves his boys to no end and Bruce would never change anything about them. But... There is a slight problem about them teasing him about all of this. They are chaotic boys who love him in their own way, but they would tease the hell out of him for this date.
Sneaking out was the only option.
After that, Bruce slowly made his way to the garage, getting into his car where flowers and a watch were waiting as presents. He made sure no one followed him before leaving.
Oh he was so wrong for that train of thought.
Jason frowned in thought as he watched Bruce drive away. He knew that Bruce has been secretive about something for a little while now, but he didn't know what. The boys agreed with that sentiment and decided to check where and what Bruce was going.
So they put the tracker on his car and have decided to follow him to the place where he was. They have an entire sting operation when it comes to that. They were raised by the best detective in the world. Not to mention, they were trained by Bruce in all the ways to be sneaky.
So, after 20 minutes, Dick took one of the cars with tinted windows and they all squeezed in there, just ready to stalk their father. They were concerned, sue them. Jason and Dick where at the front, while Jason was navigating Dick through the city until they parked across the street from the restaurant.
Tim hacked into the cameras inside the restaurant and the four watched the footage of Bruce and (Y/N). Both when they came into the restaurant and now.
" Father bought flowers and a watch? Since when playboys do that? It looks like it has meaning. " Damian questioned out loud and everyone shrugged.
Then came the kiss on the cheek from Bruce to (Y/N) and everyone was even more shocked.
" What the fuck? " Jason voiced out and Dick smacked the back of his head for the cursing. " Hey! "
Tim shushed them all as he turned the footage to the live one. " They seem very cozy with one another... " Tim noted and everyone seemed to agree.
" The playboy is finally settling down. " Jason joked, laughing quietly.
It was a weird thought, to think that Bruce has decided to settle down like a normal person and not like a playboy... Is Bruce really serious about this relationship?
" Do we think that B is finally settling? " Dick asked and none of them were sure of the answer.
" I mean, he is always nice to his lovers and what not. Always trying to seduce... But he seems... Gentle? " Tim said as he zoomed in and everyone was now a bit more confused.
" So... He is settling down... The old man is settling down... Holy shit. Pigs can fly it seems. " Jason mumbled and everyone had agreed about it. For the first time in years, they have all agreed on something.
" The playboy of Gotham is settling down. What a time to be alive. " Dick joked and Tim huffed as he kept watching the live footage.
" It seems that the guy is into Bruce too... " Tim noted and Damian looked out the window for a moment.
" I didn't know that father is bisexual. " Damian noted, but there was no malice in his voice, just pure curiosity about his father as he leaned closer
" I mean, people of all genders hit on him so... Him being bisexual isn't an issue... I think it flatters him to a certain degree. "
" Oh, the lovebirds are holding hands. Oh my. " Jason noted as he craned his head to get a better look at the footage on the tablet.
" Is it just me or is B smiling more honestly? Like he isn't being pressured? " Dick asked and that was a new thing.
" I think that this confirms it. Bruce Thomas Wayne is settling down. The playboy is settling down. " Tim said, clearly shocked. " We need a background check on this guy. " Tim added and everyone agreed.
What if he was a gold digger? They couldn't have that. Bruce may have an eye out for such people and could see them from a mile away, so they may have trusted Bruce, but you never know. It's better to be safe then sorry.
" So we are doing a check on the man? " Jason asked to confirm it and everyone nodded.
" Oh yeah. The face is all that we need for a check. " Tim confirmed. Again, better safe then sorry.
" I think we can go back home before Bruce sees us here. " Dick said as he started the car again and started driving back to the manor.
" I'm not sure about you all, but I'm teasing the hell out of B tomorrow. " Jason said and they all laughed. Besides Damian, who simply smirked in his own Al Ghul way.
They'll have so much fun tomorrow.
All of the boys ventured down to the kitchen where Bruce was. The boys were all smirks as the entered, Bruce not noticing the expressions as his back was turned back to them.
There were a few good morning exchanged and they all took their coffees and sat down.
" Where were you yesterday B? " Dick started and Jason smirked behind his coffee cup. This was going to be a complete and utter shit show.
" I had some League matters to see through. " Bruce lied and Jason took the lead now.
" In one of the fanciest restaurants in Gotham? " Jason said and Bruce froze.
" What? "
" You were on a date and we know it. " Tim said, sipping his coffee peacefully as Bruce exploded inside.
" The playboy is settling down. " Damian added and Bruce let out a long sigh.
" Not now. "
" Look old man, it's all good. It's nice that the biggest playboy in the tri state area is retiring and finally settling down. " Jason chimed in.
" Don't tell me you are doing a background check? " Bruce asked, fearing the answer already.
" Nooo... " Jason drawled out.
" I'm going to work. Bye. " Bruce said as he left with his cup of coffee.
" Oh how nice B! It's nice to see you leave the playboy persona behind! " Jason yelled after Bruce and all the boys were all smirks as Bruce left.
" We won't let this go. " Damian said and they all nodded.
They won't let go for shit.

Invisible String
❝and isn't it just so pretty to think that all along there was some invisible string tying you to me.❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: You are having a pretty strange week and you just happen to run into the same guy every single day at the same coffee shop. He could be stalking you, or it could be fate. You aren’t totally sure.
Pairing: Modern Aegon Targaryen x Reader
Word Count: ~3.2k
Author’s Note: This is a re-write of an old fic of mine. I'm in my re-writing era and this is Megan's Version. Anyways, here's some fluff. I hope that you are absolutely disgusted by it.
Warnings: language and cuteness.

Monday morning.
The bane of your existence.
It didn’t help that you were hungover; head pounding, pleading with you to go back to sleep after your best friend convinced you to go out for karaoke on a Sunday night. Who in their right mind decided that karaoke on a Sunday night would be a good idea? You did. Not your best decision, you had to admit, and one you immediately came to regret as your alarm continuously reminded you that you needed to get up. You only had about eight minutes before you were to leave your apartment in order to make it to work on time, and it typically took you an hour to get ready– thirty minutes on a good day. You were absolutely pressing your luck with eight.
You rushed into the kitchen, making a beeline towards your Keurig. Brewing yourself a cup of coffee was typically the first thing you did every morning, like clockwork; placing the disposable cardboard cup underneath the spout and setting it to automatic, allowing it to brew while you moved on to other things in your morning routine. It was always the perfect temperature by the time you came back to it.
“Shit!” You cursed with a mouth full of toothpaste after realizing you’d completely missed the sink and a long line of frothy spit had dripped down to the front of your shirt. It was the only clean blouse that you had, and you definitely didn’t have time to go rummaging through your closet to find something else. With limited options available, you tell yourself that no one will notice and hurriedly swipe at the glob of mint green paste from your left boob.
As you looked at yourself in the mirror, the stain jumped out at you as if it were a flashing sign, look at me! You knew you’d be self conscious about it throughout the day and that everyone would, in fact, notice, and opted for a black blazer to hopefully cover up your mistake. Once you were satisfied with your appearance– as satisfied as you had the time to be– you rushed out the door; your bag falling off of your shoulder as you tried to scrape your hair back into the neatest bun you could manage without brushing your hair, practically sprinting towards the bus stop, hoping that you’d make it on time.
It wasn’t until you got there, waiting with what seemed like the entire population of this accursed city, that you realized you had never even gone back to the kitchen for your coffee after you had started getting ready. It was still sitting there cold, and lonely, and untouched– just like you felt right now, standing at the bus stop, no coffee to warm your hands.
You could just go to work, clock in on time, and drink that bagged shit your company supplies for the break room, but on a Monday and with the morning you’ve already had, that just wasn’t an option. You could see the bus headed your way but ultimately stepped out of the crowd and headed in the direction of the nearest coffeeshop, which thankfully was only two blocks up.
As soon as you walked through the door and into the warmth of the cafe, you inwardly cringed at the sight of the six people waiting in line. There was really no point in complaining about it, you were already here and you had already missed the bus, and you were already going to be late. You had no option but to wait patiently in line behind some blonde guy in a suit.
Your cellphone vibrated in your hand as you vaguely heard the man order a blueberry muffin and a latte. It was your boss, fuck. You silenced the phone call and decided to send them a quick text message instead, promising that you’d be there soon and made up some story about how the bus was late due to traffic.
Still looking down at your phone, you thought you saw the man take a step to the side out of your peripheral vision, and you stepped forward towards the register. Only he hadn’t stepped to the side, and you stepped right into him, and your face collided with his back. When you went to take a step backwards, you tripped over the woman behind you and ended up falling on your ass.
“I am so sorry!” You exclaimed, looking up at the man that you had just stepped into. Your cheeks warm at the sight of him, feeling infinitely more embarrassed when you see how attractive he is. “I thought I saw you move to the next register.”
He smiled and suddenly everything was okay, like you didn’t just trip and fall in front of like fifty people.
“S’okay, love,” he replied, holding out his hand to help you up. “Are you alright?”
“Oh, I’m fine,” you replied, trying your hardest to play it cool. “That was totally planned.”
He laughs, once again flashing an angelic smile, “you’re a great actress, then.”
“Thanks,” you say as you dust off your pants. “I rehearsed that for weeks.”
He seemed to think you were being wildly clever as his head dropped back and a genuine bout of laughter escaped his throat. The people behind you in line were becoming clearly irritated, one even stepping around you to keep the line moving. Typically, you would have protested but you suddenly didn’t care about the time or that you had been cut in line.
“Aegon?” The barista called out.
“That’s me,” his smile faltered just enough for you to notice. “Maybe I’ll see you around.”
“In a city with a population of 8.4 million people, I highly doubt that,” you step back in line after checking with the person behind you to make sure it was okay. “Have a good day.”
The man named Aegon still smiled, his head nodding to you before stepping out into the crowded city streets. If you were brave, you would have asked for his number, but instead you watched the door while you waited for your drink to be made; hoping that he would come back and sweep you off your feet.
You allowed yourself to live in that fantasy for a little while, until you became too busy at work and eventually forgot about the handsome stranger you had met in the coffee shop.
Tuesday was worse.
It wasn’t because you had a hangover or because you had woken up late again. In fact, it was quite the opposite. You were feeling pretty great on this particular morning. The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day, and you had given yourself plenty of time for your usual morning routine; shower, makeup, clothes, coffee. The Spotify algorithm was providing you with a perfect soundtrack for your commute to the bus stop until–
“Are you fucking kidding me!?”
You screeched as a double-breasted, suit-wearing businessman bumped into you and your coffee went flying towards the concrete; all over the ground, all over you. And for a moment, time stops as you could do nothing but stand there, completely shocked. The audacity he had to not only keep walking as if he hadn’t just ruined your perfect morning– and your shoes– but to yell back at you that you were the one who needed to watch where you were going.
You hadn’t even gotten to take a sip of that coffee yet.
Thankfully, Starbucks was only two blocks up, and you could make a pitstop for a refill and to clean yourself up and the coffee out of your shoes. Before you stepped in line, you made a beeline for the cream bar, hurriedly pulling napkins from the dispenser to shove them into the toes of your shoes. A few people in the lobby had begun to stare, and you sighed in defeat. This was frustrating that you were, once again, embarrassing yourself and making a scene in the same Starbucks two days in a row.
“You know, in a city with a population of 8.4 million people,” you heard as you tried to dry off your tights. Looking up, you noticed the same man from yesterday. What was his name? Aegon, right? “Call me crazy, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we bumped into each other again.”
“Maybe you’re stalking me,” you retorted with a sarcastic smile.
“Stalking the girl who’s spilled coffee all over herself?” He asked, eyes crinkling at the sides from the wide smile on his face. “I don’t know about that.”
You didn’t say anything, still a little irritated that you were even in this predicament, and now running into this handsome stranger again. Typically, you’d be elated to see him again, but not today.
“Let me buy you a coffee?” He asked, breaking the awkward silence that had grown between the two of you after he just stood there watching you try to blot the stain out of your white blouse. “It looks like you’re not having the best day.”
“Thanks for the offer, but not today,” you replied.
“Well, maybe tomorrow then?”
“Yeah,” you said as you laughed through your nose, knowing that there was no possible way that you would see him again tomorrow unless he really was stalking you. “Tomorrow, for sure.”
He gave you another one of those remarkable smiles and nodded his head, “okay, I’ll see you then.”
Wednesday was better.
You woke up with a smile on your face and you gingerly started your routine, making your way towards your Keurig. It was the middle of the week; only three more days to go and you’d be free for the weekend. You already had plans for a Succession marathon and itched to make a home on your couch for the next two days with all of your favorite snacks and blankets.
But when you went to grab one of those tiny, plastic pods from the box, it was empty. You had told yourself yesterday that you needed to stop and grab coffee and milk, but had completely forgotten once your day had unraveled after that douchebag shouldered you on the sidewalk.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”
You always believed that one should enjoy the little things, but this week, it seemed as if those little things were on a mission to ruin your week. This time, you decided on the locally owned coffee shop that was only a block from your apartment. You passed by every day on your way to the bus stop, but they were typically so busy that you just didn’t have time to wait.
Today, they were surprisingly not nearly as busy as they usually were, in fact, they were almost completely empty. You still smiled at the barista as you walked right up to the counter without having to wait in line.
“Could I please have a mocha latte, please?” You asked politely.
“I’m sorry, ma’am,” the barista replied with a frown. “We were supposed to get our delivery sometime last night but there was a mix-up with the trucks, and we’re kinda out of everything. There’s a sign on the door.”
Of course you didn’t see the sign until you were leaving, frustrated, and stepping out onto the sidewalk with only one option; Starbucks.
This time you were prepared to see the good-looking stranger again, if fate were to have it; you were not covered in coffee, you did not have to rush on your way out the door, you were having a good hair day. Yet, as you stepped into the cool air conditioning of the corporate chain, you were saddened that you didn’t spot that golden halo of soft, blonde hair anywhere. You should have known not to get your hopes up, as the odds of seeing him three days in a row were slim and none. As you stepped up to the register you laughed at yourself, at how disappointed you were, as if you actually had a chance.
You stood off to the side, scrolling through your phone while waiting for the barista to call your name. It was then that out of the corner of your eye, you see that in walks a handsome, blonde stranger. Your heart skips a beat for only a second before it registers that he’s not your blonde stranger. He locks eyes with you for only a second and you offer him a small, disappointed smile.
“Your mocha,” the barista says and holds out the warm beverage to you.
“Thanks,” you reply, your voice despondent.
When you turn for the exit, your eyes are drawn to the corner of the room- to a comfortable, brown leather chair next to the window. There, sits Aegon, the man who had somehow just happened to be here, every single day, at the same time as you. The man who is probably stalking you, and if he wasn’t, he probably thought you were stalking him. You couldn’t even blame it on timing– Monday you were late, Tuesday you were early, today you were right on time. Given outside factors, things like this typically do not happen.
He’s reading the paper and there’s a cup of coffee and a half-eaten scone sitting on a plate in front of him. Your lips curl into a smile as you say to him, “we’ve got to stop running into each other like this.”
Aegon looks up at you, surprise washing over his face before an enthusiastic smile begins growing on his lips. However, as soon as his eyes notice the drink in your hand, his smile immediately disappears, “I thought I was buying today?”
“I didn’t see you until I had already ordered,” you replied. “How about tomorrow?”
“Deal,” he nodded..
“Are you sure you’re not stalking me?” You asked, eyes narrowing.
He threw his head back in laughter, “I’m definitely not a stalker.”
“That’s what a stalker would say,” you glanced down at your watch and realized that you should get going before you miss the bus. “See you tomorrow!”
On Thursday, you were convinced.
You had spent most of the day yesterday discussing with your coworker about what had been happening to you over the last week. You’d walked through every different day and what had happened prior to you arriving at Starbucks. You had talked conspiracy theories and the invisible string theory, and eventually you both ended up coming to the same conclusion– you both agreed that it was best for you to not go to Starbucks today.
You didn’t believe in fate, or soulmates, or twin flames, but as you stood in front of your Keurig as it made the most god awful sound, you were starting to change your mind. You tried turning it off and back on, unplugging it and plugging it back in, but the diagnosis was that it had finally died.
After six wonderful years and all of college.
Any other day you’d stop at Starbucks and grab a coffee in place of your homemade cup, but you swore that you wouldn’t today, and you were not waiting in line at the one on the way to the bus stop. It didn’t help that you were actually looking forward to the nasty breakroom coffee, only to get to work and realize that the office had run out of coffee. The effects of the caffeine withdrawal had set in by lunchtime and your migraine was splitting. Needless to say, you were irritable and exhausted by the time you had clocked out. Everything seemed to be grinding your nerves; even something as simple as the person sitting next to you on the bus talking on their phone.
Despite promising yourself that you wouldn’t go to Starbucks today, you found yourself standing at the counter, ordering a latte and a sandwich. It was later in the evening, the sun was setting, and you were certain that you would not be running into Aegon at this time of night and so after you grabbed your coffee, you sat in one of the comfy, leather chairs and started replying to some emails.
You had been there for about an hour, most of the patrons had left. The baristas had begun cleaning up for the evening and the shop was getting ready to close when the door swung open, letting in a gusty breeze.
“No way,” you whispered to yourself as you watched a very tired-looking Aegon walk up to the counter and order a latte. He was so out of it that he didn’t even notice you until he sat down in the chair directly across from yours, and looked up to see you staring right at him.
“I told you,” he said as he let out a tired laugh.
You just shook your head at him in disbelief.
“I was called into work early today and I couldn’t come in this morning,” he said with a smirk. “I was certain I wouldn’t be seeing you today.”
“My Keurig broke, and when I got to work they didn’t have any coffee, so I figured I’d stop in and grab a cup before heading home,” you replied.
You sat there and talked to him until the manager kicked the two of you out, and he ended up walking you to your apartment, even though it was in the opposite direction of where he was going. He was sweet and funny, and you found yourself laughing at almost every joke.
“So tomorrow?” You asked when you stopped in front of your building.
“How about dinner instead of coffee?” He asked, rather boldly, taking you by surprise. “I know we don’t really know each other but I’d like to change that.”
“I’d like that, too,” you smiled, tucking a stray lock of hair behind your ear. “Wanna chance it and see if we show up at the same restaurant at the same time?”
“The ultimate test of fate, eh?” He asked, rubbing his chin as he mulled over your offer for a moment. “Can’t risk it, how about you just meet me at Ray’s at seven.”
“Yeah, I can do that,” you exhale a soft laugh.
“Perfect,” he says and takes your hand, offering a tender kiss to your knuckles. “I’ll see you then, love.”
Friday was perfect.
Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary happened. Though, thinking back on it now, maybe those seemingly bizarre incidents this past week weren’t actually out of the ordinary at all. Maybe the forgotten coffee on Monday, the spilled latte on Tuesday, the late delivery on Wednesday, and caffeine withdrawal on Thursday were all meant to happen; everything playing out perfectly in order for you to be walking up to Ray’s at exactly 6:54 PM.
Aegon stood outside, a smile bright enough to put the sun to shame. As your eyes met, a wave of warmth washed over you, dispelling any lingering doubts you may have had. This felt right.
This felt like fate.

Clunk.
San throws his glasses onto his desk before leaning back in his chair, hands coming up behind his head for a stretch. He had been working on his progress report for one of his grants since this morning, and he was starting to feel the migraine come on.
"Fuck." He mutters, pinching at the bridge of his nose before he gets up to grab another cup of coffee from his Nespresso machine— popping in a pod with a level 9 intensity into the slot and pressing start. It's around dinner time, but quite frankly, San isn't too hungry. He'll eat something small. He's just tired, especially because of this progress report. But, it's due next week and he needs to finalize his class schedule for the upcoming quarter at the same time. He won't have as much time to get through the technicalities if he waits any longer.
He's pretty immune to the different intensities of coffee at this point; having eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner during his postdoc years. It won't do much for long, but it'll at least keep him going for the next couple of hours before he calls it a day and lays in bed.
When his coffee is done, he pours some creamer into his mug and gives it a good stir before settling back into his office. His house is too big for one person, but he enjoys the stillness. The quiet. He used to hate it. He used to hate when every corner reminded him of his ex-wife. Now, he's gotten used to it. He's learned how to live alone, how to enjoy his peace. He lets out a small sigh, taking a sip of his hot coffee as he resumes to look at the computer screen to his side. Suddenly, his phone goes off and he's quick to shift his attention to it because it's slightly odd for this time of day. People don't normally call him unless he's settled on a phone call meeting ahead of time, and he doesn't remember booking any calls tonight.
"Hey." San picks up when he realizes it's Jongho. Okay, so he maybe he lied. He does take a few calls from close friends, most who are also professors at the same university. "What's up?"
"How's your T15 report going?"
"Long. It's terrible."
"Well." Jongho laughs. "Perks of being you, I guess." San rolls his eyes.
"Yeah, thanks. Very enlightening."
"Anyways, I wanted to call really quickly. I figured you hadn't seen it yet, but wanted to put it on your radar. I looped you into an email for a possible collaboration. We're trying to meet this week if you're free. Might be good to see what it's worth, could get us more funding. Open more collaboration opportunities in the future." San presses the phone against his ear, holding it with his shoulder as he navigates to his inbox on his computer. He has a bunch of unread emails that he'll eventually respond to, paying a tad more attention to the pressing ones when he has a moment. He's not gonna lie, he does ignore a few if it's not of interest to him, or something he doesn't feel like he can contribute much to. He'll typically respond with a 'so sorry, no can do' if people get pushy and constantly follow up, but for the most part, he does his best to keep up and respond where it's warranted.
San sees the email Jongho is speaking of, but right underneath it, he sees another email from a student inquiring about rotating in his lab for the upcoming quarter. He's always interested when students reach out to rotate in his lab, but he can't accommodate all, especially when he doesn't feel like his research aligns with their goals. He usually takes 1 per quarter if it fits, otherwise, he doesn't have any at all.
Out of curiosity, he clicks on the email since it has been awhile since anyone rotated in his lab.
From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Dear Professor Choi, I hope this email finds you well. My name is Y/N, and I'm currently a bioengineering grad student who is interested in rotating in your lab for the upcoming quarter. I have been thinking about diving deeper into computational analysis, mice behavior, 2-photon excitation and opto-stim work. I've spoken to your postdocs, Sunwoo and Belle, about their current projects and potentially collaborating since they seem to be touching up on all these aspects. I was hoping we can find a time to meet and chat a bit to see if it would be a good fit. The deadline to submit my rotation selections is coming up, so I'd like to make sure we meet beforehand. Let me know, happy to work with your schedule! Best, Y/N Y/L/N
The thing about San is that he's pretty good at picking up on a student's vibe through their emails. It's the tone, the professionalism, the way they write and carry themselves. He can tell when some people are a little more egotistical and ignorant, and he doesn't want people like that in his rather small, but mighty lab. His current grad students and postdocs all get along well, and they're bright people who are very passionate about their work and studies. He doesn't need people thinking they're above the others. In addition to that, he can also tell when students are just trying to get their name on a published paper doing work in his lab, or when they're just trying to wing their way through grad school. It's a shame, but he definitely has come across a few students in his inbox. They do exist.
You, though? He's intrigued. You seem bright. Genuinely passionate about the specific areas you're interested in diving into. Poised. He appreciates that. He quickly scans over your CV and the little blurb at the bottom that highlights the work you've done in your undergrad years and internships. Your work history. He sees that you've already dipped your toes in a few of the different areas you've mentioned. Worked with a few professors he knows. You've volunteered at a couple of places.
An all-rounder.
"Did you see it?" He almost forgets he's on the phone with Jongho.
"Mm, yeah. I'll respond in a bit, I think I can meet on Thursday. Sorry, I just got a little distracted. Saw another email about a potential rotation student."
"Gonna take one on this quarter?"
"Maybe. If it fits. She seems to be interested in a lot of the work we do. She knows Sunwoo and Belle."
"Oh, nice. That'll be cool."
"What about you? Taking on a rotation student?" Jongho is an assistant professor in the electrical engineering department, and he is often bombarded with inquiries himself. He usually always has a rotation student, and they almost always choose his lab to work in after their rotation program is up. San doesn't blame them— Jongho is brilliant, and his work creates a lot of different pathways for students to navigate and try. San's can be a hit or miss; it's quite niched, and students often find that it genuinely is tough to play around in his field.
"Yeah. Think so."
"Alright. Thanks for giving me a heads up. I'll check my calendar and respond in a bit for sure." San eyes the email. "It does sound like a good collaboration."
"Figured you'd say that. Thanks, my guy! Take it easy and good luck on your progress report."
"Appreciate it." San gives off a toothless smile even though Jongho can't see him. He slides his phone off to the side and checks his calendar, upholding his promise to Jongho about responding to the email ASAP. He keeps his email short, letting the group know he can make the meeting at the desired time on Thursday to talk about the potential collaboration across labs.
Then, he pulls up your email and checks his calendar once more.
From: [email protected] To: y/[email protected] Hi Y/N, Thanks for your email - for sure! I think there's a lot of possibilities we could visit, especially with Belle and/or Sunwoo's projects. Can you pop into my office on Tuesday morning? 10am good? We can chat then. — San
"Oh shit." You slow your chewing when you see the email notification pop up on your screen during dinner.
"What?" Felix asks, turning his attention towards you and causing Jiung and Eunchae to do the same.
"Professor Choi answered my email."
"That was quick." Jiung takes forkful of food into his mouth.
"Professor Choi as in San or Jongho? Cause they're both hotties." Eunchae swoons and twirls her hair, making Felix scrunch his nose.
"San."
"I'd kill to be a rotation student in their labs." Eunchae giggles. "What'd he say?"
"To meet him at his office on Tuesday to chat more."
"Well, that's good! Which other labs were you looking at?"
"I'm not sure. Song Mingi, Kang Yeosang, Jeong Yunho. Kim Namjoon—"
"Isn't Professor Choi's ex-wife with Professor Jeong now?" Jiung looks up with a squint.
"Yeah, apparently when it all went down, it was a mess." Felix chimes in, and you continue to type away at your phone. "Imagine your wife having an affair with your bestfriend."
"Harsh." Jiung does a head tilt.
"I guess they don't interact much anymore, do they? Seems to be water under the bridge."
"I don't think so, but Professor Lee works in the Chemical Engineering department so they might have to from time to time if students in her lab wanna be co-advised or collaborate with him. Professor Jeong, though."
"Awkward. At least they can keep it civil." Felix shrugs at Eunchae's response.
"They lowkey have no choice." Felix looks up in thought before shrugging. "Still sucks to know your bestfriend was involved."
"Seriously." You add.
"Either way, those are good labs to possibly rotate in. It'd be cool if you could get into Namjoon's lab. Heard he's cool as fuck even though he's the department chair." Felix tosses his napkin into his empty paper bowl.
"Yeah, same. I'll keep you guys updated." You send off your response to Professor Choi with a small sigh. "There. Hopefully my rotation will be settled for the quarter."
From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Hi Professor Choi, Yes, I can meet you at 10am on Tuesday. Thank you, and see you then! Best, Y/N
"Maybe you'll get more out of the rotation, especially with Professor Choi." Eunchae nudges your side and you let out a small yelp before you playfully pinch her bicep.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jiung snorts.
"I'm just saying, he's successful. A hottie. Young. Single—"
"Here she goes." Felix lets out a breath.
"Bro. Calm down." Jiung laughs. "He's still a professor."
"What if you two get close during rotation and he falls in love with you?" She looks at you ever so seriously.
"Relax." Felix laughs. "What kinda movie did we fall into?"
"Eunchae, please." You poke her cheek. "You know we rarely ever see the professors in lab. We get like.. five minute meetings with them and that's about as much of a personal interaction we'll get. They're busy people. Sorry to burst your bubble, bae." She shrugs.
"It was fun to think about." She giggles. "But no, that'll be a good experience for you if you get to join his lab for rotation. The others are great, too. Is he your first choice for a dissertation advisor, though?"
"As of now, yeah. But, we'll see how it all goes."
"Keep us updated." Jiung sips some water. "I think I need to reach out to one more professor for this quarter. Needa figure out my shit before classes start."
"Same."
Meanwhile, San sees the notification from your email pop up in the corner of his screen and he immediately presses on it. He smiles a bit when he realizes how easy scheduling that meeting was— most of the time, people say they'll work with his schedule but end up pushing back. He slots you into his calendar before he can forget and switches his attention back to the progress report he's close to finishing up.
San thinks it'll be nice to host a rotation student again, as the experience has always been useful, eventful, productive. He thinks it'll be like any other time; the experience being useful, eventful. Productive. He trusts in his group, the students, to come up with great ideas and be able to execute from start to finish.
So, he doesn't think much of it. He thinks he can hand you off and trust you with Belle and Sunwoo.
Little does he know that's where he gets it all wrong.

MAD. w/ CHANGBIN.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
18+ ONLY! MINORS DO NOT INTERACT!
pairing: changbin x female reader genre + warnings: established relationship, fluffy, a little steamy at the end but not too much wc: 1.2k
mad master list here ; other works here ; any comments and thoughts you can drop them here ; ty for reading.
Tumblr media
“Princess!” Changbin brightly greets you as he hops out of his car to help you drag your drunk best friend who is also Han’s girlfriend inside his back seat.
“Hi Binnie. Hi Han,” you shoot them a small smile. “Sorry she drank so much. We couldn’t stop her,” you say timidly standing back now that the two boys got her.
“That’s okay Y/N, thanks for looking out for her,” Han smiles at you before he getting in the car with his girlfriend.
“Did you enjoy your night?” Changbin asked with a smile, pulling you by both your arms into a tight hug.
You hum in respond, hugging him back tightly, feeling guilty.
Changbin had told you at the start of the week that he was finishing up a song and needed some time to perfect it, so you decided it’ll be best to give him some space to do so.
Although you know how much he would miss you, you also know how bad he was at multitasking. A simple “how are you” text will instantly turn to him calling you up and asking you to come over. You have learnt from the past that that’s not the way to go. You rememeber him rushing the last 2 days to fix up his song and boy, was he a mess.
For the week you had sent him only good morning and night messages, with some little I love you thrown in during his winding down time. The lack of interaction with him made you confide in your friends for a little bit of comfort. So when Han’s girlfriend messaged you to go drinking and clubbing with other girlfriends you were quick to say yes.
The night started off great. You and all the girls probably had about 4 shots and a couple of drinks each making everyone tipsy. But you were nearly at the end of your limit though, you could barely steady yourself on the dance floor.
It was midnight when you feel your phone buzzing inside your bag. You pull out your phone and could barely read the caller ID with your blurred vision. When you finally saw it was your boyfriend calling your face instantly lights up.
“You coming over yet Princess?” Changbin cheerfully asks on the other line. The club music was way too loud that you had to excuse yourself from the circle to run to the secluded bathroom to talk.
“Sorry Binnie, what did you say?” You asked and you hear him softly chuckle back.
“I said are you coming over yet?” He repeats himself.
“For?” You slurred on your words, confused at what he was asking.
“It’s our date night, silly,” Changbin giggly replies and instantly you froze.
You had forgotten it was the last Friday of the month and which means it was your designated date night with Changbin. It doesn’t matter what time he gets off work on the last Friday, you would spend your afternoon at his house anyways so you were able to get ready for what ever he had planned. You gasp, putting him on speaker as you search through your phone to visually confirm the date. It was already 12:03 Saturday. You had forgotten. You couldn’t blame anyone but yourself for this mistake.
“Did you forget?” He asks when hears you struggle on the other side.
“YES!!” You say, a hand coming to hit your temple. “I FORGOT I’M SO SORRY,” you cried, squatting on the bathroom floor, trying you best to calm yourself down.
He must’ve been so confused patiently waiting at home for you to come over the whole day.
“I’ll come home now, I’m sorry.”
“No! That’s okay princess, are you out with the girls?” He asked, his voice was still so soft.
“Yeah.. I.. I—” you scrambled to apologise but he doesn’t let you.
“Dont worry Princess. Go and enjoy your night with the girls. Call me when you want to come home and I’ll get you,” he giggles.
That’s one thing you can never understands about Changbin, he never gets mad or show a little bit of annoyance with you, even when you’re in the wrong. He never lets you take the blame for anything.
“I feel bad.”
“Don’t, you silly girl. We’ll talk later.”
“Okay,” you puffed with a pout and he giggles.
“Love you!” He shouted before hanging up.
How could you forget such an important day. You glance at your phone and realised he had send you a couple of messages throughout the night asking when you’ll be over and you hadn’t reply.
“Oh shit!” You quietly beat yourself up again.
The rest of the night you didn’t take anymore drinks and sobered up quickly. Although you still enjoyed the rest of the night with your girlfriends, your boyfriend was on your mind alot of the times.
“Come on, let’s go before she throws up,” Changbin says pulling you both into the car.
The ride home was just Han’s girlfriend drunk whining that she wanted to throw up so you really couldn’t bring yourself to talk to Changbin as your attention was on your friend’s well being.
“You reckon you’ll be okay Ji? Me and Y/N want to go on a drive,” Changbin says looking in his rear view mirror at younger boy. You glance to your side where your boyfriend was sitting, confused, because you never stated you wanted to go for a drive.
“I’ll be okay hyung, she’s just all talk. She’s probably gonna sleep like a baby once she’s get home,” Han giggles, assuring you both.
After dropping them off, Changbin drove around for a bit, sitting with you in silence. He keeps glancing to your side but looks away the second you look up at him. Once he reached the secluded lookout you guys always go to, he parks the car and reaches for your hand.
“Why are you not mad, Bin?” You nervously ask, breaking the silence.
“Why would I be?” He replies back with a smile caressing your hand.
“Tonight was suppose to be our date night and I ditched it to go clubbing,” you say unable to look at him.
“Well, we are on a date right now aren’t we?” He replies, the smirk is still on his face.
“At 2am.”
“So?”
“Im sorry—”
“Don’t. Don’t feel bad, don’t apologise,”
“But you never get mad at me,” you voiced out your concern with him being so lenient.
“You forgot. You’ve been so cute all week giving me space to finish my song. We didn’t talk all week so you just forgot. It’s not like you planned to ditch me,” his hand comes to cup your cheeks as he looks deep into your eyes, waiting for your reply.
“Right?” He says sounding a bit more serious as you don’t answer him. You giggle in response shaking your head.
He’s right though. You just forgot due to the lack of conversation you guys had all week.
“You okay now?” He leans in to peck the corner of your lips.
“Yes,” you reply, smiling at his kiss.
“Also, you look very sexy though Princess,” he smirked eyeing you up and down. “I couldn’t stop staring at you when I was driving,” he says glancing at the hem of your dress that was riding up your thighs.
“Is the dress new?” You can tell he was still trying to get you to forget about what happened.
“I got it last week,” you reply to him, neatly smoothing over the material by your thighs.
“It’s very sexy. Can I see it up close?” He raises his eyebrow and you giggle knowing what he was referring to. So you climb over the car to straddle him, your dress instantly riding up.
You loved date night.

"She always looks mad."
"That's just her face."
"She looks so mean."
People couldn't be far from it. You were anything but mean. Sure your eyebrows were always closed in together, and smile lines were nonexistent on your face, but you were surely a smiling on the inside kind of person.
The only people who really knew that were you, your parents, and Axel Kovačević. It's nothing personal to the rest of the world, but what did everyone else have to offer?
You and your teammates have just finished another lesson with Sensei LaRusso and Sensei Lawerence, your body was still running off adrenaline from the sparring you just finished, earning a kudos from your Sensei's.
"That was an awesome match," Axel said as the two of you tied your shoes.
"It was whatever," you respond humbly, with a shrug. Axel snorted making you bump hips wit him.
"Hey, guys!" Sam chippers, walking up to you and Axel along with Miguel.
"Hey," Axel greets them as you continued tying your laces.
"We're gonna head to Golf N'Stuff right now, do you all want to join us?" The curly haired girl asks with a bright smile.
"Yeah, sounds like fun!" your boyfriend responds happily. "Right, (Y/n)?"
You glanced up at the blue eyed boy next to you with an amused expression.
"I guess," you sighed dramatically adjusting your tank top. "But I'm not going like this."
"Of course, we're gonna get changed and meet over there at six," Sam assures you.
You nod and stand up, grabbing your gym bag. Axel followed suit, trailing behind you as the two of you left the Miyagi-Do dojo.
"Good news!" Sam skips over to Tory and Robby who stood over by the exit talking amongst themselves. "I got (Y/n) and Axel to join us later tonight!"
"You actually got her to go?" Tory raises her eyebrows surprised by Sam's news. "Did you have to bribe her or something?"
"Look, I know she's been hard to get to know, but maybe she'll open up a little more after tonight," Sam encourages the group.
"Especially with Axel around," Miguel adds in. "She seems to talk a little more with him."
"Huh," Robby realizes. "You're right, she does talk to us more when he's there."
"I bet they're dating," Tory chimes as the four of the friends began walking to Sam's car.
"I doubt it," Miguel scoffs. "Girl never smiles, much less shows she likes anyone."
"But she does smile when Axel is around," Sam points out to her boyfriend. "Tory might be on to something."
"Okay, let's not speculate," Robby says holds his hands up in defense. "I'm sure they're just friends because they joined us at the same time."
"I'm with Robby on this one," Miguel agreed with his step-brother.
The girls rolled their eyes, sharing a secretive look between them as the four gathered in the Mercedes.
--------------------------------------------------------
Soon enough six pm rolled around, everyone meeting at the entrance of the arcade building. As you and Axel exited the car, your new friends waited patiently for you both.
"Alright, do you guys wanna start with mini golf or the arcade?" Miguel inquires as the six of you stood together.
"Mini golf!" Sam and Tory shout out making the boys laugh.
"Sound cool with you guys?" Robby asks turning to you and Axel.
"As long as (Y/n)'s on my team, we're good to go," Axel rubs his hands together, making your snort.
Sam’s eyes sparkled mischievously as she took notice to your lingering eyes on the boy next to you. "Actually, I’ve got a better idea. How about… girls versus boys?"
"I like that idea," you spoke walking over to the brunette. Axel's face drops seeing your betrayal.
"And loser buys snacks," Tory adds in with a devious smirk.
"Deal," Miguel agrees. "Hope you ladies brought your wallets."
"We won't need them," you taunt back. "Let's go get our clubs."
Tory and Sam fist bump behind your back, happy they were able to get you on their team. The music played loudly around the venue, neon lights lighting up the outside as everyone grabbed their gear.
As the six of you lined up at the first obstacle, you placed the ball down steadily lining up your shot. As you were about to hit the ball, you feel a presence lean down close to you, his voice low and warm, "good luck."
"Go away," you swat Axel away from you as if he were a gnat in your ear. He laughs watching as you carefully hit the target, the ball smoothly going down the drain.
"Nice one!" Sam cheers you on. You glare over at Axel who stood happily behind you, as if he hadn't tried to sabotage you.
As Sam went up next, you walked over to the tall boy, using your golf club to lean on.
"Don't think that flirty tone is gonna work on me," you say lowly so no one else would hear you.
"I do not know what you are talking about," Axel responds, playing dumb.
Without your knowledge, Tory catches Axel squeezing your left hip, before moving to go next at the ball. She knew it.
----------------------------------------------------
After winning by one shot, the six of you decide to head inside and continue your fun with other games. As all of you split amongst yourselves, you went along with Sam and Robby to grab some game cards for the rest of your group.
"So, how'd you do it?" Tory asks moving to stand beside Axel.
"Do what?" He asks out of confusion.
"How did you manage to get with (Y/n)?" She smirks. Miguel looks over at the blonde wide eyed at her question.
"Tory!" Miguel mutters.
Axel barks out a laugh, a tint of a blush creeping up his neck.
"Holy shit," Miguel whispers seeing Axel's sheepish look. "You are dating (Y/n)!"
"What can I say?" Axel smiles softly, looking over at you as you stood in line grabbing a card. "I like a challenge."
"No but seriously, she's hard to read, how'd you get her to open up?" Miguel questions the tall boy next to him.
"She's actually one of the easiest people to talk to," he says. "Once you get past her 'don't talk to me' vibe, she's a great listener."
Tory looks over at Axel impressed with his description of her, now seeing how intently she always paid attention to those around her.
"Okay, we have enough for pretty much every game here," Sam, Robby, and (Y/n) come back to the group.
Miguel and Tory watched as you immediately went to Axel's side, your arm barely grazing his.
"I think we should start at basketball," Axel says turning to you.
"Fine, but don't cry when I beat you," you respond sassily making Robby and Tory laugh.
"She's so mean," Axel exhales watching you saunter towards the basketball machine. "I love it."
He walks off after you, placing a hand on your back making you turn back to him with a slight smile.
"Did we miss something?" Robby asks Tory seeing you bump your hips with Axel's to scoot him over to his side.
"Tory and Sam were right," Miguel admits with a playful eye roll. "They're dating."
"You see!" Sam cheers raising a hand to high five Tory.
"Makes sense," Robby nods looking over at you both as you let Axel stand behind you to guide your hands shoot the basketball.
And completely miss, making you laugh and gently punch him in the shoulder.
"They're cute," Sam pouts seeking her own affection from her own boyfriend.
As the other four watched you, you turned your back to them, facing the boy who just beat you in the game.
"Why are they looking at us like that?" You crossed your arms, your mouth falling into a straight line.
"I might've told them I'm hopelessly in love with you," Axel says grabbing the tickets that printed out of the machine. He stands up straight, taking a step towards you as you narrowed your eyes up at him.
"You what?" You laughed softly.
"They figured it out," Axel explains with a slight grin. "Someone can't keep their hands off me."
You rolled your eyes playfully, shoving him away from you softly, unable to hide your shy smirk.
"Whatever, you're the one that's always hanging off me," you flip your hair over your shoulder.
"I can't help it, you're irresistible," he says nonchalantly making you blush. "Now, let's win some more tickets because I see a stuffed dragon begging me to win it for you."
"You're ridiculous," you scoffed glancing over at the pink dragon sitting on one of the shelves behind the counter.
"You love it," Axel teases you, quickly pecking your forehead.
"Fine, but only because you made me lose," you say grabbing ahold of his hand, leading him to another game.
Axel can't help but smile at his girl, enjoying every minute she dragged him around.
"So cute," Sam cooes as she inserted her game card into a game of ski ball, seeing Axel and (Y/n) walk hand in hand toward the air hockey table.
"Adorable," Robby nods his head in agreement.
"Wait!" Axel stops you two in your place, making you come to a halt. "'Let's do this real quick."
"Axel," you groaned as he pushed you into a photo booth. You sighed as he shut the curtain closed from prying eyes, and slid a five dollar bill into the machine.
"You will love it, come here," he places an arm over your shoulder making you scoot back into his hold, wanting to be annoyed.
"I hate pictures," you grumble as you waited for the countdown.
"Not with me you don't," he says teasingly leaning in close to you to press a sloppy kiss against your cheek making you push him away as you laughed.
"That was perfect," he grinned seeing it pop on the screen, perfectly capturing your relationship. "Let's do something silly."
You decide to go along with the boy you adored, and stick your tongue out holding up a peace sign as he copied your same pose.
"Okay, now sweet," he suggests, his expression softening. He leaned his forehead against yours, his bright blue eyes catching your breath, like they always do.
"Axel," you murmered, feeling a flutter of warmth spread through you.
He grinned before molding your lips with his own, the final flash capturing the sweet moment. When he pulls back, you're flustered but peck his lips one last time.
The screen displayed the photo strip preview, and Axel reached out to grab the print as it slid out of the machine. He held it up with a triumphant smile.
"Look at that beautiful smile," he says pointing at the first picture where you're fighting to hold back a smile as you push him away in the photo.
"Gross," you fake gag.
"Hey, it's my favorite thing about you, you know?" Axel defends your feature. You look up at him with curious eyes.
"Really?" Your tone is genuine, a certain look of innocence Axel hardly ever saw.
"I thought it was obvious," he remarks pulling his phone out, and opening his gallery. He wiped through rows of phots of you smiling, some of them you weren't even looking at the camera.
"I love to see you smile," he exclaims, still scrolling through more photos. You can't help but smile, actually smile, with the way your heart melts as he looks at your pictures fondly.
Axel's eyes wonder over to you as you admire the photographs.
"That's my girl," he says proudly making you shake your head.
"Yeah, you still owe your girl some nachos and a slushy," you remind him playfully as you both moved to leave the booth.
"Yes dear," he replies with a mock-serious tone, staring down at you lovingly.
Your group of friends walk up to you, peering over your shoulder to see the photos.
"What were you two doing in there?" Miguel teases you as he bumped his shoulder against yours making you roll your eyes.
"Getting proof," Axel said confidently, pulling out the photo strip and holding it up for everyone to see. "She loves me!"
"Axel!" you whined as everyone closed in on him, taking in the pictures.
"Freaking adorable," Tory states giving you a sideways smile.
"Who knew (Y/n) smiled," Robby eggs you on making you frown.
"See what you did," you said snatching the photo out of Axel's grip. "You're messing with my street cred!"
"Worth it," he shrugged, completely unbothered. "I will buy you Reese's to make up for it."
You perked up at the idea of the peanut butter dessert. "Fine."
As you walked along with Sam and Tory, Miguel and Robby fell back behind with Axel.
"They have us wrapped around their fingers, don't they?" Robby sighed out referring to their girlfriends whom walked ahead of them, sharing laughter.
"Oh for sure," Miguel agrees.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Axel grinned, already thinking of ways on how to win you that pink dragon that called your name.

happy seungkwan b-day everyone !! <3
Tumblr media
Everything's going as planned, Seungkwan is oblivious about the surprised party his loved ones planned for him. Sure, your parents went to get his sisters on the train station, but not just only that... but also to make time for you to get him out of the house so they can prepare everything for his birthday.
Mrs. Jwa complained about using our home too much, but your parents and you know they're like family. Your childhood house has a bigger living room space, so why not make everything there. Your mother loves to hold the events.
You tug onto Seungkwan's arm as you walk down the street to the cafeteria. It's chilly, but the sun warms you nicely. Seungkwan was right, it's really a beautiful day outside.
The place is very cozy, with bright colors and different options of tables and puffs to sit. You see Seungkwan eyes brightening at the view of the sweets on display in front of him, the ice cream flavors so tempting to him, but he couldn't bare on this cold. As you both ponder and decide and place your orders, you choose where to sit as you wait for the food to come.
Seungkwan sits just in front of you, his hips bulking up as he manspreads slightly. His hands are hidden under his sweater pockets to keep it warm, the golden sunlight brightening his skin as he closes his eyes and breathes lightly to feel the sun hugging his face. The morning breeze makes the tip of his nose rosy, and his soft bangs move. He looks ethereal, you think.
You stare bluntly at the blue sky outside as your table is very near to the big window. Before, looking right back to Seungkwan, who already has his eyes on you. He has a found smile as you suddenly feel rush burning over your body, you're too afraid your cheeks are painted red under his gaze. "What?" you try to mask it out.
"What what? Can I not look? I can stare the floor then" He shoots armed, and that right there is your best friend you're familiar with.
"You have such a way on words" you reply ironically, as he does a jokingly fake smile at you.
"I like looking at your pretty face" He simply says and now, you're sure you have flushed cheeks. You coff, being caught off guard, giving off how surprised by that comment you are.
"See! Now, you're saying stuff like this!" You literally kick your feet under the table, you try to sound not so harsh, but your brows give off.
"Mhm?" he replies, unsure.
"You can't be like that just because we kissed" You do sound harsh now, you're afraid you're taking this conversation to the wrong way.
"What!?" Seungkwan almost jumps on spot "I'm not being like this just because we kissed" He argue, too stuned by your antics.
"That's not what I meant... I'm sorry" You say "I don't feel uncomfortable with you complementing me... It's just– I can't lie it feels... different now" You sincerely put out. You know you're going to have this conversation sometime, so it just happens to be now. "Am I making it awkward?" You ask, after the silence formed. Seungkwan seemed lost in thought.
"No. I understand you." He says lastly, but you know him enough to know there's more to it.
"See, Kwan, Imma be honest. We're adults now, I just can't pretend you're not attractive. If teenage me knew that, I wouldn't think differently to the man in front of me right now" You just say what you truly feel and have been thinking about. But, a tiny bit of you regret saying it, does it sound you're confessing? Do you like him like this? You actually don't know.
You look at him, getting back to reality, and you're blessed with a sight of shy Seungkwan in front of you. His head hangs low, and you can see he smiles with his lip between his teeth as if he wants it to go away. He also gets pinky cheeks when he looks up at you again. A sudden courage reaching him as he says
"Good, because if this gets strange, I wouldn't be able to kiss you again"
You are not sure if your face is able to hide the turmoil those words made inside, does he really want to kiss you again? Are you hearing it right? Your stomach tingles and the conversation that were supposed to clarify things just made it more confusing, it couldn't get worse... or better.
You don't go any further as the waitress comes with your orders. You both thank him happily before hungrily diving into the food. You take sips and bites of each other's food, the pistachio donut of his is amazing, makes you regret getting the strawberry one, who is so good but too sweet, his iced amaricano helped you with that as you don't stick to your caramel coffee. Seungkwan teases you for eating all his food, and those conversations and laughters felt like how your friendship used to feel like.
It's not like you don't like what it's turning now and miss what it was... you know it's bound to be different, you haven't talked for two years before bounding again, and you're now 25, not 15 anymore. Even though, the same feelings are still there, what comforts and scares you.
Excitement starts to bubble inside you, once you're done, making your way back to your childhood house. His older sister has already texted you, making sure everything is done. He's a well aware man, he can notices the way you smile and walk almost too fast, besides you're really bad at lying. But he just smiles along, thinking "what's gotten into her!?".
You ran to your door happily, Seungkwan coming just behind you as you take the keys and unlock the door. You walk in first, leaving the shoes by the door, before he comes right after, doing the same. You walk further, and loud voices are heard, and suddenly, everything makes sense. "Happy Birthday!!!!" You hear. You look to Seungkwan's side profile as he lets out a breathy laugh while you hug his side. He thanks everyone with a hand on his chest, turning around when he feels like crying "Oh no..." He says, trying to stop his eyes from watering.
There's everyone there, his closed family whom he passed his childhood in Jeju with and his school friends. It's very introspective but big at the same time, they are people he haven't seen in so long, he truly feels like home. The room has some blue and white lights decorating it and the dinner table has some snacks and sweets with his cake in the middle. He takes his time talking with everyone, catching up, and you do the same, they are also whom you grew up with.
For you, it's also so meaningful, you've missed those people. Contrary to Seungkwan, who is a social butterfly, easy to be friends with, you don't think you have that many friends in Seoul just yet. Those right here are your people, it feels safe and where you belong.
The sun is already set when everyone start to go home. The afternoon was filled with laughter and great exchanging. People helping to get everything clean before they go out, and now, that is just you, Seungkwan and your families, you take all the trash on the big plastic bags, someone helping with the dishes and someone else vacuuming the dust off. In a few minutes, everything is neat and clean. Your families chat some more as you and Seungkwan decide to stargaze outside with hot pads on your hands.
You both just stay comfortably in silence in each other's presence, looking up from your shoulders when you hear a sunden yelp from the door behind you. "Aigoo, isn't it too cold in here?" Seungkwan's mother announces, taking steps closer to you two. You both giggle slightly at her, you're sure from who Seungkwan got his expressiveness. "Kwan-ah, we are going home, are you staying?" She asks right after.
Seungkwan looks at you like he's searching for an answer on your face, but you don't say anything, and neither the answer is written on your forehead like he hoped to. "I'm gonna stay, mom" he simply says.
"Hmm, I figured. Just wanted to ask." She adds, making the typical mom's face. "Take some time to be with your family, huh? You have Yn on Seoul too, not us." She deadpuns, and you stiff.
"Mom!" Seungkwan exclaims, alternating his gaze from you to her. She has a knowing smile, she doesn't look upset or angry, just teasing.
"Come home soon." She says lastly. "Have fun and be careful, kids." She adds, brows going up, shooting you both a look, as if saying she knows something, before she turns her back.
"Bye, mom! Love you!" Seungkwan says, and you add right after "Love you, mama Jwa! Bye".
"Love you, too, kids! Take care." She says lastly, disappearing behind the door.
You and Seungkwan mirror each other's smiles before he says "What just happened?".
"I don't know" You laugh.
You stay outside some more, bidding goodbye to the Seungkwan's family as they start the car on your line of view.
Making your way inside when the night grows colder. The house quiet and dawn, your parents have already gone to their room when you enter home, so you walk there, knocking carefully, saying goodnight briefly to them, before going to your room. Seungkwan is already there, looking through his clothes to get something to sleep on. You sit in front of the heater, ready to set it again, in hopes it works. Pressing the button, it goes on, making a loud noise before shutting down a few seconds after. You grunt like the other night, trying to put it on again, pressing the button on and off, impatiently, but it's not working. You groan, slapping the machine loudly "Motherfucker, why can't you just work properly? Do your job!" You say in clenched teeth.
You can hear Seungkwan laugh out loud behind you, the same sight from yesterday but never boring to him, too stuned by the way you talk to it as if it was a living thing. "Ow, ow! You gonna hurt it like this, maybe if you talk to it nicely..." He plays along and you look at him angrily from your shoulders, shooting him a glare, not finding it amusing.
"This isn't funny, Kwan! We gonna die freezed"
"You're so dramatic" He laughs again "Go wash up, I will try to make it work" He says. You don't think twice, getting up and passing the frustration.
"Thank you" You say "I'm gonna ask dad to take a look at it tomorrow" You add.
Making your way to wash up, knowing it won't really work when you get back. Seungkwan gave the idea to put on the central heater of your house, letting the door slight agape to get the hot air inside the room.
"We can keep each other warm. That's ok" He says, carressing your arm and letting a kiss to your forehead. You know that's something he does to calm you down when needed, but somehow, today it gives you butterflies on the stomach. You should be used to it like he is, taking his back to wash himself as if it is nothing.
You're both ready to sleep when you stay seated side by side on your bed, both looking at your phone screens, keeping each other close, but in a secure distance, your arms brushing against each other's. Seungkwan is the first one to lay down by your side, his face pressing the side of your body as he acomodates in the soft sheets, his eyes closing, ready to dreamland. You feel yourself getting sleepy too, your eyes heavening, not really paying more attention to the bright screen of your phone. You shut it down, moving to the side so you can reach the table beside your bed to put it there. You don't really think your moves until you hear a hiss coming from Seungkwan behind you. You have your arms stretched to reach the fortune, your ass going back and brushing against his center. You feel his hands going to your side, his hips jumping and pulling back from your ass cheeks.
"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you up" You say but he wasn't really sleeping yet. You move again, trying to get back to your side to the bed, your ass catching on his cock again, you feel his grip tightening on your hips as his breath hitches. He's the one moving know, pressing his back to the mattress, so his cock is not in your direction. He stares the ceiling before closing his eyes, one of his legs going up under the sheets, so his hardening cock don't be visible. "What happened?" You ask, resting on his side again, tugging to him, but he just stays there, your head over his chest, his arm under you, but he's not any close. "You're not hugging me, it's getting cold" You add.
"I– can't now" He says lowly, his cheeks flushed pink in shyness as you get up on your elbow to look at him. "Just give me a minute" He says.
And it suddenly kicks in on your mind, and it's time for your cheeks to burn, besides the fact that your body is tempt to burn hot. "Oh-" You let out. "Are you– I–..." You think in ways of putting into words the fact that he got hard just from a slight move of your ass, and that thought just burst your ego and your confidence. You don't know what gets into you, but you simply say "Did you really just got hard from the slightest touch of my ass on you? Is it that easy?" You say, and he groans beside you, praying on his head for you not to do this to him, he doesn't know how much he can take.
But he wouldn't let you win this. He finally open his eyes, staring at yours "When it comes to you, yes" He confesses, and you feel your sleepiness fading in the hot air the room was hugged in.
"Seungkwan..." You try to warn but he smirks.
"What? You started it" He fights back, brushing your hair to the back of your ear. The touch is so soft but enough to make your body electrified.
"You were the one who got hard" You say, but the way your faces keep getting closer is not unintentional nor unnoticed either.
"You were the one brushing your pretty ass over my cock" He bluntly say, his hot breath fanning your dry lips, and you declare his victory. Who would know your best friend had that dirty mouth and that you would like it that much. You know, because you whine, you fuck whine on his lips,,his hand taking your neck as your mouths finally meet again after new years. The kiss is needy and hot like you remembered, but it feels new as the first in the same way.
He urges you to lay back again, and before you know, you're tugging on his sweater, his palm finding your hips as he pulls you to him. The motion making your cunt feel his hardening cock over his pants, the kiss stoping just for you to whimper.
"Shhh, keep it down" He whispers, but biting your lower lip right after as if he loves teasing you. And reality hits, your parents are just in the next room and your room door is agape because of the heater, even tho that doesn't feel needed anymore, the room feels way too hot now.
You try to contain yourself, Seungkwan kisses going to your jaw and just under your year. "Seungkwan..." You call for his attention, and he just hums in response. You try to form cohentes thoughts about how you shouldn't be doing this now, not when there's your parents in the next room, but you end up rambling words, too weak under his soft lips. Seungkwan finds you nothing but cute now, trying to convince him and even more yourself, but tugging to his hair and pulling his mouth even closer to your skin, he can't help but smile while nibbling to your ear. Your breath hitching mid words as you keep talking, your body is definitely saying otherwise.
He's not helping either, his hands sneaking even further under your sweater, his hot and soft touches working as ignites on your body. Your hips bulking, trying to feel him more when his thumb stays just under your breast.
"Are you done?" Seungkwan asks when you finally stop. He doesn't think you realize, but you don't even end the last sentence you were saying, closing your eyes and melting into him.
"Yeah..." You just reply, giving in. His slim hands finally palming your boobs, making you bite your lower lip to suppress a real moan this time. Seungkwan is not doing any good either, he feels his cock aching hard, twitching by the way you react to his simplest touches. He pulls your sweater up, exposing your breasts, the sight of your boobs and perked nipples making him the one groaning now. It's so needy and desesparate, you never knew how turned on you could be just by a sound, it makes your walls clench around nothing.
"Fuck, I wish I could hear your pretty sounds so bad" He confeses and you feel your heart skipping a beat "Dreamed of this for so long, fuck, you have no idea" He whispers again, and you're convinced he's trying to ruin you. His kisses go from calm to rushed wet ones, he's restless over your neck, and where the pieces of skin is not being covered by clothes.
"Seungkwan, wait..." You open your mouth again. He stops everything right there to look at your eyes, even when the sight under it is so tempting. His breath is heavy, but so is yours. It is never really late to stop, even though you conclude you both have already gone too far, and you both want this. "There's no way back to this, just wanna make sure you're ok with it" You say, caressing his long bangs away over his forehead.
"Are we sure?" He returns. Going down a bit more to kiss your cheekbone "I don't have a single doubt. I'll do what you ask me to." You feel like the power of this is in your hands, but you're not scared about it, but secure.
"I'm sure" you add.
"Even though I want this more than anyone else, if you want me to stop any further, I will, It's never too late to stop, you know this" He says.
"I won't" You say surely, and he smiles, soft and small, like he hears your answer but wants to make sure you also hear him.
You pull him to a kiss again, this one calm and sweeter compared to the other ones, that it's almost romantic. Your brows shutting, feeling every move of his tongue and the way it makes your heart ache with more than just pleasure. He stops the kiss, your lips chasing after his like you didn't want it to end. "Can you turn around for me?" He adds lastly.
You obey, not knowing what he has planned but following his lead either way. You can feel him getting rid of his sweater pants behind you, and a sudden rush of anxiousness fill your body, like you're really about to have more intimate things than just a kiss with your best friend.
He tries to be as silent as he can while reaching for his duffle bag, taking out his wallet from one of the pockets, pulling out a condom from it. Seungkwan joins you on the bed again, his hands caressing your sides "Are you okay?"
"Yes, Kwan. Just do something" you rush the words out, feeling heated and impatient as he chuckles lowly behind you.
"Ok..." he whispers, finally reaching for the hem of your pants before pulling them down. You gasp, his palm caressing over the bare skin of your ass this time. He takes his time, his eyes staring down your form as he massages the flesh.
You are not expecting when his hands go down under your thigh, pulling it up from inside to over his hip. The motion gives no option but to rest your leg over him, it makes your pussy hit the fresh air and be completely open as you hiss. His long fingers taking a long strip on your embarrassing wet folds, the slick sound easily heard as your breath hitches "Fuck, you're so fucking wet" He says, the pace of his breathing going faster and heavening behind you.
He smears the wetness on your entrance while you fight back a whine. Collecting some of it up to your clit and drawing slow circles on the muscle. Your hips bulk back, your ass making contact with his core again, as you can really feel the hardening flesh over his boxers now. You bite down the moan, not able to suppress the whine anymore when he thrusts a finger inside you, your hands gripping the sheets while your walls pulsates around his digits. He hums right on your ear, making goosebumps form on your skin while he fucks you with his long fingers. It's so painfully slow since he's being careful with the sounds, the knot building on your belly.
He thrust a second finger in, you can feel the burning feeling of it stretching your entrance, the wetness gussing out of your hole "Fuck, Seungkwan" you moan and he just grins. You have to bring your hand to your mouth to keep quiet. He brings his palm up to your clit, pressing over it as you roll your hips onto it while he finger fucks you. You know his hand is all ruined by your arousal, but you can't stop.
Seungkwan is grunting, your motions also reaching his cock right on your ass, begging for some attention too. You start to feel the knot wanting to let go on your lower belly, but it's cut short when he slips out in one motion. You whine loudly, trying to chase his hands.
"Shhh, baby... Fuck! you're being so loud for me" He reasons, and you try not to cry out from the loss.
Seungkwan slips his wet hands under his boxers, pulling out his length. He sighs in content, smearing your juices on his cockhead with the blessed sounds of your low moans. He closes his eyes in pleasure and you can feel him bumping his cock on the skin of your ass. The hard length pressed over your cheek makes your pussy clench around nothing, the wetnees let an imprint on you as he drips out pre-cum.
"Kwan... I need you, please" You whine in a whisper, reaching behind for his ass cheeks as you pull him to your body to make your point.
"I'm right here" he's quick to respond, and you let out a frustrated grunt. "Shhh! Ok, ok!" He says, regretting teasing you at these circumstances. You smile winningly, knowing you get what you want. "Open the condom for me" He demands right after as you go for it. "Didn't know you were that thirsty for my cock"
You scoff, handing it the free plastic of the condom for him. "You're so full of yourself, I haven't even seen it yet, How could I know?" You shoot back in the darkness of your room, knowing other than feel it, you haven't had a sight of it yet. Something you can only dream of.
You yelp when he slaps his cock over your ass in response. "You sure can feel it, so shut up your bratty mouth" He whispers on your ear, the hot air fanning your neck. Fuck, you always knew Seungkwan was hot, but that some new type of hot from him, and you're losing your fucking mind. You don't say anything more, letting him roll the condom down his length.
He aligns his covered length on your folds, you both moaning at the same time when the strokes the flesh. He hands his base, moving it down to press his head over your entrance. You're both holding your breaths, too afraid of doing any loud sound. He starts pushing inside, your walls hugging him tightly, your head going back, feeling it slide inside so good. Seungkwan can feel every inch of you from how tight and warm you are around him, he's trying so hard not to moan, you feel so fucking full, so perfect.
You both let your breaths go when he bottoms out. Taking some time to adjust the new feeling and to calm down your exhilarating excitement. A few seconds have passed, when you feel him hook up his arm under your thigh, pulling your leg upper so you're all spread. He pulls out slightly before pounding right back in. Your back arching already as he starts to fuck you from behind. He settles on a slow pace first, your wetness dripping down to his balls as you keep opening up for him. Besides the worries, it doesn't take long for him to pick up the pace. You have to grip the sheets, your mouth going agape and eyes watering as he fucks you so good that has your body shaking on the bed.
The wet sounds are unable to stop, but he's still careful not to let your skins slap too loudly. You are really trying too hard, but you can't help start to whimper, the sounds going out in rhitm with his pace. "Shit, Yn... You don't really behave, do you?" Seungkwan says in his husky, low tone, slowing down since you're getting loud again.
"Fe- feels so go- od" you add, and he suddenly stops, urging to crash your mouths together to drunk in all of your sounds. the kiss is airy and messy, but that just makes you hornier.
"Your parents are just in the next room, I don't think they would like to know their daughter is being fucked by her best friend and she's enjoying it, isn't she?" Shit! Is this the Seungkwan you know? He's so filthy, and you both know you like it when you clench around him from the nasty words. Your brows shut, and your lip is cage on your teeth, as he chuckles. "Nasty little thing, behave for me, huh?" He adds and you nod accordingly, pulling his lips to your mouth, you're going to be the death of him.
Without more talking, he presses your leg to the side now. He pins it down on the mattress, towering over you this time before he starts to fuck you again. The new position makes your eyes roll back. He takes the same fast pace, and you wish he could be slapping your skins together but he can't. The familiar knot starts to build again, and you keep clenching around him.
You swear you see stars when he lays down on your side again, his hands gripping your sides as he starts to pound into you from the side. He reaches more inside, and he can't help but swear under his breath, his balls tightening too.
"Cum for me, baby" He whispers again, his forehead resting on your back as he lends a soft kiss there to contrast with his erotic thrusts. It's all too much, you dive your face on the pillow. Your moan is muffled, your ears starting to ring as your body goes stiff before trembling with your high. You cum around him, pulsating and milking his length. He purse his lips just humming quietly as he can't barely move on your tight cunt. "So- tight" He grunts, his cock twitching before he's filling the condom too. His thighs hardening while he loads the plastic with his cum. Eyes going shut, and he just lets go.
Seungkwan slips out right after, laying on his back beside you. You mewl from the loss, taking the same position as his, straightening your legs as your cum slip down your hole, making you hiss. Your chests keep rising and falling with your unstable breathing.
You're both calming down when he pulls you to him as you gladly take the space, your head resting on his chest while he plays with your hair. "I have to clean up" He says sweetly, pecking the top of your head.
"Me too" you say.
"Give me a minute" He comments, leaving you for a moment. He sits down on the bed, getting rid of the dirty condom with a funny face. You can see just the outline of his side profile and his hands working on a knot to seal the plastic before he stands to throw it on your trash bin.
You roll over to get your wipes from the drawer beside your bed, the same one that started it all as you hand it to him before getting one yourself. You both clean up quietly, slipping in your clothes again. The coldness starting to get noticed, hugging your bodies again now that the heat is gone.

i miss otaku fm with all my heart and soul and i've been patiently waiting for satoshi kada (leviathan's va) to get back into the studio, and interview everyone all over again. i miss the live drama recordings, the stupidly funny plots, the realistic slip-ups and quirks from each of the cast members. i miss a toast in hell's kitchen and genuinely learning and listening about the talents behind the game, and people's amiable messages and questions towards them in Tell Me!
honestly i'm on my knees begging for a third season where maybe he interviews the vas for thirteen, mephisto and raphael since i haven't seen/heard much from them too in terms of personal messages to fans.
satoshi kada, with his radio, acting and tv experience is such a sweet and soothing personality who brings such warmth to every single project he works on, including obey me. i just wish solmare really really recognized how impactful these podcasts were, no matter long or short, and the abilities of this main cast because goddamit..in such a time where nightbringer is being scrutinized and obey me itself is falling in popularity, absolutely none of the voice actors have forgotten or even brushed aside obey me.
"oh it's because they're working for the game, they'd get fired if they criticized it"
//NB: ik this video is sort of old but i have plenty more proof that the vas still play the game, I thought this was just the best example.//
fuck, most (if not ALL) of the vas play the game??? they get the exact same experience as you and i!! and every boys in the house clip i see them happy to be there together, praising and celebrating the game and just having fun man. it's honestly so touching.
i miss the anime episodes: the ideas shared between the vas and the writers, and every episode seven with the va's analysing their performances and characters makes me laugh till my stomach hurts. you *should* consider how entertaining the anime is; it's obviously rather low budget but you can really tell ( even though this wasn't the obey me universe we know and love) it still kept people on their feet and entertained me like some twisted ao3 crackfic istg. you can tell that the anime was made with fans in mind, and that's where the writers for it really flourished. to this day I still see people talking and sharing screenshots from it..
basically.. let's try not focus on the fact that "obey me is getting worse", let's all look to a future and try and be positive about things, yeah? because behind this silly little demon dating sim are talented writers, artists, coders, ambassadors and fans that have kept the game alive for 5+ years.
i wish obm does flourish more in the future, and the devs focus on creating a game(s) and content that inspire, enlighten and make everyone smile.
please, as a ty, take my silly photos of my favs. I must spread the word..

"s'mores are perfect when the marshmallows are burnt" "you jsut can't cook" + eddie munson for blurbcember ❄️
ty for requesting! :D — you freeze your ass off to spend some time alone with eddie; he learns you love him more than s'mores (established relationships, fluff, 1.6k)
blurbcember ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。˚
You and Eddie sit stranded in Steve’s backyard, the only ones brave enough to weather the late-night cold.
The bursting bonfire died down to a couple of sparkling orange embers, and the party followed accordingly. While your friends sought shelter in the warm living room, unfreezing their fingers around cups of hot cocoa, you and Eddie remained outside in the navy blue winter — too stubborn to tread behind them.
“But wait— we haven’t made s’mores yet!” you’d whined. The shivering bodies of your friends rushed by you and into the heated house, anyway. Eddie was the only one to stay with you after the fact. ‘Cause his girl was gonna get her s’mores even if it was the last thing he ever did.
He makes the first one perfectly. Mostly because that one was for you.
You sit patiently in the slanted wooden chair, knees up to your chest, drowning in the thick leather jacket Eddie gave you for warmth. It smells just like him — like pine and childhood. It keeps you as warm as the smoky marshmallow on your tongue.
The melted sugar gets caught in your teeth, along with the chewed-up graham cracker and gooey milk chocolate. You smile with it all anyway when Eddie’s second batch doesn’t turn out nearly as good as his first.
“Eds, that’s burnt!” you laugh with your mouth still full as he smacks a blackened marshmallow between two square cookies.
In several layers of dark flannel, the boy shrugs lazily. He plops onto the adirondack beside yours and shoots you a lopsided smile, tinted pink and softly chapped. His skin, made more pale by the dark and wintery night, rivals that of the shining full moon. It makes his flushed cheeks that much more rosy.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about— s’mores are perfect when the marshmallows are burnt.”
He takes a too big bite to make a point. You grimace at the crunch of the over-cooked confection, then smile when the melted sugar sticks to Eddie’s chin. “No, you just can’t cook,” you retort with a lovesick grin.
“But I’m right!” he insists, black crumbs sticking to the corners of his mouth.
He’s too hardheaded, and you’re too in love with him to argue about it any further. You just smile and shake your head, so full of adoration you’re sparkling with it. “You’re so cute,” you murmur, features warm and visibly fond.
He grins wide, never minding the food caught in his teeth. “I know.”
“Should we make everyone else one?” you wonder, nose scrunched as you spare a look over your shoulder.
Through the sliding glass door, you can see into the golden-lit living room. Everyone’s lazing under blankets, crammed onto couches or lounging on the floor. You can’t tell if they’re sleeping or not. You feel the need to take care of them anyway.
Eddie scoffs with his mouth still full. “Hell no! Those cowards chickened out on us,” he answers bitterly, then in a deeper and posher accent, continues. “Only the bravest of warriors can be rewarded with such fine delicacies.”
“Getting hypothermia makes us ‘the bravest of warriors’?”
“You’re the one who wanted to stay out here!”
“I did,” you argue with a laugh. “But not for the stupid s’mores.”
He gets cartoonishly confused. His bushy brows furrow and his winter-kissed features swirl together. If you weren’t weathering the winter for his obviously unmatched cheffing skills, then what exactly were you out here for?
“Then… for what?” he wonders slowly and with his dark eyes squinted.
You roll your eyes at your oblivious boy. A smile hints at the corners of your mouth. “Eddie…” you murmur, hoping your sudden sheepishness might give him some sort of hint. Telling him, ‘I’m out here in the freezing cold because being next to you makes me feel warm’ is far too sweet and not at all on brand for either of you.
“What?” he says with a faint laugh, still visibly clueless.
“I stayed out here because of you, you idiot,” you confess, giggling softly when it makes his doe eyes get all squishy around the edges.
“Oh,” he hums, then grins all wide and giddy. “Sweet.”
It’s too easy to forget how much you like him sometimes. Mostly because he doesn’t feel very deserving of you at all. He just takes all the sweet moments alone with you that he can get, then tries not to explode every time you remind him that you love him back.
“I am starting to get cold, though,” you murmur, jaw tense to keep your teeth from chattering.
A crisp breeze rolls by and shoves its teeth into every inch of exposed skin it can bite. Your cheeks and lips have long gone numb with it. You can only wrap Eddie’s jacket around you so much before it stops helping.
“Well, I know something that’ll warm us up…” the boy beside you croons with an audible smirk.
Your face scrunches at the implication. “Eddie…” you grouse.
“Get your head out of the gutter— I’m talking about booze.”
You squint at him. He reaches between his many layers and pulls out something from the inner pocket. It glimmers beneath the moonlight for a moment until you realize what it is — a glass, small and polygonal, half-filled with amber liquid.
“I picked the lock to Steve’s dad’s liquor cabinet,” he confesses, twinkling with boyish excitement. “This looked the fanciest, so…”
At a loss for words, you shake your head. “You’re insane,” you tell him, even though your smile says that you’re in love with him and all his crazy.
“I’m surprised it took you this long to figure that out,” he quips and unscrews the glass cap. He sniffs the liquid inside, then takes a sip without fear. He winces at the taste.
“Is it good?” you ask, hiding your laugh behind your palm.
“It’s great—” His answer comes wedged between coughs.
When he passes the small glass off to you, you take your own baby sip of the alcohol, with much more hesitation than the boy beside you. The bitter taste coats your tongue and stings going down. The burn makes you cough. Your chest blooms with warmth.
Eddie’s brows raise expectantly. His lip quirks at the edges. “Good?”
“It tastes like rubbing alcohol,” you grimace and hand the thing back to him.
“That’s how you know it’s good!” he insists. He takes another sip and doesn’t flinch this time around. “Like— this is the shit rich people spend hundreds of dollars on just to pretend it tastes good.”
“Being rich must suck,” you observe with your face screwed up.
“Oh, totally,” the boy scoffs. He goes to take a swig, then sends you a worried glance with the glass up to his lips. “Are you warm yet, at least?”
“Not really… My throat just kinda burns.”
“C’mere. Before you end up like that psycho from The Shining.”
Eddie slouches softly in his seat and holds his arms out beside him. The invitation is a hard one to turn down. Hair wild, cheeks rosy, and dressed all snug — he looks so visibly warm. You want to curl into his chest like a cat and stay there forever.
“You want me to sit in your lap?” you wonder with your brows pinched.
He nods.
“Eddie. I’ll crush you.”
His features swirl with hurt. “I’m offended that you’re doubting my strength right now, sweetheart.”
“Shut up.”
“Get over here before I cause a scene.”
There’s not much of a scene to cause. Both of you know this. You rise on rigid, frozen limbs anyway and walk the short distance to him.
His palms are oddly warm as they curl around your hips. You sit hesitantly on his lap at first, as tense as a rock, until he pulls you down completely. His arms settle around your waist like they were always meant to be there, hands fitting with you like a puzzle piece. It doesn’t take long for you to melt against him.
Eddie grins at the comforting weight of you. “See? This isn’t so bad, right?”
You try to bite back the beam tugging at your lips. This kind of love makes you feel like a teenager again — heart singing like it’s never been stung before.
“I mean, yeah, but Steve and Robin are watching us through the blinds,” you tell him as a laugh sputters from your lips.
You can tell they’re trying to be discreet, but their eyes showing through the slats — at two varying heights — are a dead giveaway. It took the two of them ages to get you and Eddie together, so you’re not entirely surprised by their snooping. They’re nothing if not your biggest cheerleaders. Even if it does make them a couple of creeps sometimes.
Eddie doesn’t bother to look over his shoulder at them. He just tilts his chin up at you and smiles with all his teeth. “Wanna give ‘em a show?”
You smile. Then press your tingling lips to the cold skin of his rosy cheek.
You know that isn’t exactly what he was asking for, so his plea for another doesn’t surprise you.
“One more?” he wonders quietly, chocolate eyes glimmering with boyish hope.
Happily, you lean in for another peck to his cheek. He turns his head at the very last second and smacks a proper kiss to your mouth.
You pull back, face agape with shock, like he’s never kissed you before. “Eddie!” you gasp.
His doe eyes sparkle with feigned innocence. “What?”
“You’re incorrigible,” you insist and settle further into him.
His contented sigh brushes your temple when you rest your head against him. His ringed fingers give your sides a squeeze. “That’s a real big word, sweetheart. Means you like me, right?”
You let yourself smile wide. He can’t see how lovesick you are from this angle, or else he’d know that you do a whole lot more than just like him. “Yeah, Eds. That’s exactly what it means.”

hi i love love your writing!! would you write a smut for james wilson from house? maybe reader is working on house's team, or just works at the hospital. slight age gap also if that's okay!
ty for writing it if you choose it!! <33
clear your mind
omg i am SO sorry for the wait, my dear. i hope you enjoy!!
tags: age gap, smut, fuckin on da job
Tumblr media
the tension was consuming you. day and night, all you could think about was him. there have been countless nights where you touched yourself while creating fake scenarios of you two. but that’s irrelevant right now. you’re supposed to be helping your team figure out what may be wrong with your critical patient. house notices you aren’t concentrated.
“you. what’ve you got?”. he tilts his head at you. you know he was asking you on purpose, everything he did had reasoning. you think of something fast. and it’s obvious.
“appendicitis?”
“jesus. who gave you a medical degree? get out and clear your head, you need it.”
god he was harsh. but he was right. you nodded at your colleagues as house shooed you out. you scolded yourself for not separating your work and home life. it wasn’t your fault though. james was so smart, so handsome, so much older. it’s like he was asking to be swooned over.
to clear your head you decided to hang out with your favorite nurse before getting back to work. she knew the feelings you had for james and supported your slightly problematic crush. she nursed in the oncology department, so you treaded the waters to her office very carefully. due to your lack of attention to your surroundings, you managed to walk right into the very man you’re avoiding.
“oh, hi. i actually needed to talk to you about something if you have a moment”. he looked at you with those eyes. everyone might call you crazy but you swear that coworkers don’t look at each other the way he looks at you.
“i’m busy. bye”. you nudged past him, something unusual as it’s normal for you to be so bubbly around him.
you barge into your friend's office and immediately throw yourself onto her beanbag.
“i’m a failure”. your muffled voice dripping with drama. she peeled her eyes off of her reports to you. it was quite a humorous sight, your face in the bean bag as you kick your feet like a toddler.
“what happened this time, sis.”. she walks over to you and sits criss cross applesauce, waiting for you to spill. you prop your head up on your hands and begin your story from the moment house kicked you out and basically called you an idiot.
the way she bit her lip in an effort to stifle her laughter tells you she’s not taking your sob story very seriously.
“it’s not funny!” you huffed. now you really looked like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
that did it for her. she began to laugh a little.
“it’s so funny. you’re a mess, babe! i need you to pick yourself up and go get your old man.”. you could tell she’s serious but can’t help but giggle at ‘old man’. that’s something she always nagged you about.
you got yourself back onto your feet and decided she was right. it was probably the only way you could get those silly thoughts out of your head. you thanked your friend for helping you out and marched out of her office. just as you were about to reach the department of diagnostic medicine, you heard a familiar voice.
“hey. we need to talk now.”. you turned around and faced him. all the bravery in your heart melted as soon as you came face to face with james wilson.
“uhm..sure? what about?” you questioned. there was what felt like an endless pit in your stomach, you almost wanted to order an MRI. he instructed you to follow him to his office, which of course, you obeyed.
when you arrived at his office he let you walk in first, being sure to lock the door once you both were in. you began to toy with the stitching of your white coat. he sits at the edge of his desk, waiting for you to look up.
“what’s going on?” he questions you this time. you paused for a moment, trying to decipher what he’s trying to say.
“what?”
“the way you walked right past me today. what was that about?”. he pushes his question further, expecting an answer to your coldness.
your heart dropped once you understood what he meant. you looked at him with pleading eyes, scanning his face for how he’s feeling.
“i’ve had something on my mind. i’m really, really sorry. you’re the last person i want to ignore.”
“so you’re ignoring me?” you can tell he isn’t upset as a sly smile makes its way into his face. you roll your eyes as he beckons you to come a little closer.
“what’s on your mind?”. he knows how you feel. it’s painfully obvious. he just wants to hear you say it.
you claim it’s nothing and wave it off as stress, but he knows you’re lying. he knows you’re lying when you come even closer to him, positioning yourself right between his legs that are hanging off his desk. he knows you’re lying when you can’t help but stare at the way his pants are tightening around his crotch.
“you know how unprofessional this is, right? or do you just wanna feel me inside of you.”. you’re done with him teasing you. you shut him up by placing a soft kiss on lips, which then led to a makeout session that had his hands roaming your body. and you let him. the way you grind on him in desperation tells him everything he needs to know.
he allows you to face the desk, commanding you to take off your pants and lean over it. you do exactly as he says. james takes absolutely no time to plow into you. you were expecting him to be more gentle, but for some reason you were drunk on this feeling. the way his cock is hitting your most sensitive spots over, and over again is driving you mad.
“y’know how long i’ve wanted to do this? feel you around me just like this. i bet you wanted this too, huh.”. all you can do is pathetically nod your head and quietly sob into his desk. your cries did nothing but make him twitch inside of you, groans coming deep from within his throat.
you felt your back instinctively arch further as you feel your orgasm building up. just as you were about to come undone, he stopped. you gasp as he pulls out and just looks at you. you turn around and see him stroking his length. he gently grabs your face with his free hand and tilts it downwards. you knew what he wanted. and you wanted to make him feel good.
as you got down on your knees you made sure to replace his hand with your own, setting an absurdly slow pace. you swiped your thumb across the slit that was leaking beads of precum and placed your mouth onto his tip. you slowly bobbed up and down to get accustomed to his size, and then began to take him farther and farther. james gripped your hair tightly as a disorganized string of swears left his mouth.
“so good f’me baby, being such a good girl taking me like this”.
his praises encouraged you to work your mouth even faster. the way he whimpered and moaned out your name told you he was getting close. focusing on his tip while using your hand for the rest of his cock is what sent him over the edge. he thrusted into your mouth a few times to help ride out his high. you felt so proud of yourself for making such a mess of him.
james was overstimulated and tired, but he needed to make his girl feel good. he sat you back down onto his desk and instructed you to lean back. he was drooling at the sight of your pussy all open and wet for you. he wanted to go slow with you but god you looked so desperate. he got onto one of his knees and began ravaging you. your hands are kneading as his hair as he makes circles around your clit with his tongue. the sounds are lewd but neither of you care. he’s teasing your entrance with his curled fingers before plunging them into you. the feeling of him sucking your puffy clit with the sensation of hitting your sweet spot was so overwhelming. tears ran down your face as your orgasm comes crashing over you.
james allows you to calm yourself down before helping you put your outfit back in. he wishes he had the time to give you proper aftercare and praise you for how great you made him feel, but he can’t. instead he settles for leaving a mix of small and passionate kisses all over your face while murmuring sweet praises in between each breath. as you were reaching for the doorknob james asks you what you’ve been waiting to hear.
“hey, would you like to get dinner tonight?”
before “sneakily” exiting his office you throw him a thumbs up and sweet smile. god, you could get used to this.

So here’s the thing, everyone in the Gaang assumed that Azula was the older sibling.
And they love her eyeliner.
— — — Sokka
Sokka: WAIT WHAT
Azula: Ugh, why are you yelling at me?
Sokka: YOU ARE THE YOUNG SIBLING
Azula: Yes? Why you ask?
Zuko: He was complaining about Katara. And then he said “Ugh but you wouldn’t get it cause Azula is the oldest”.
Azula: And you get it?
Zuko: Not really.
Sokka: IT’S IMPOSSIBLE.
Azula: It’s cause I’m better at everything.
Zuko: It’s the makeup and how insufferable you are.
Sokka: IT’S EVERYTHING.
Sokka: How she looks, talks, thinks…you have to be messing with me.
Azula: I honestly don’t know if I should feel flattered or insulted.
Zuko: She’s the same age as Katara.
Sokka: NO WAY.
— — — Aang
Aang: So tell me how was Zuko when he was a baby? I’m curious.
Azula: I don’t now. I’m guess he cried a lot.
Aang: Oh you don’t remember?
Azula: I wasn’t alive avatar.
Aang: Hold on, are you the younger sibling?
Azula: I am.
Aang: But you look older, and know more about history and stuff. Plus all of that trauma and emoti-
Azula, slightly annoyed: Yes Aang I get it.
Aang: It doesn’t make sense.
Azula: It’s simple: makeup and discipline.
Aang:
Azula: What?
Aang: I have some meetings this week could you help me to look older so they will pay me more attention?
Azula:
Aang: Please. For the sake of the world?
Azula: Sure I’ll show you.
— — — Toph
Toph, seeing how Katara and Sokka are arguing: Men sometimes I’m glad I’m an only child.
Azula: I almost was once. Zuko wasn’t happy about it.
Azula: But I must say, having an older brother who looks after you feels nice. But if you tell anyone I said this I’ll commit arson.
Toph: WHAT?!
Azula: I mean Zuzu and I fought a lot.
Toph: Not that. No way he’s the big bro.
Azula:
Azula: I’m actually curious about why you didn’t know it cause it’s impossible that it could be for the makeup.
Toph: You were a fucking pro master firebender back then and Zuko wasn’t.
Azula: Did you know that my flames are blue?
Toph: No way. Why nobody tells me this things. Anything else cool?
Azula: I can make lighting balls in both of my hands and I can make a perfect eyeliner in 30 seconds.
Toph: Can you do it now?
Azula: Which one?
Toph: Both but bring someone else cause when I ask if it looks good on me I need to know the truth and I still can’t fucking tell if you’re lying or not.
Azula: Makes sense. Although I would never lie to you about that.
— — — Suki
Suki: I need you to teach them firebender’s forms even though they’re non-benders.
Azula: Easy. I used to do it with Ty lee.
Suki: But you have to treat them as your younger sisters. Like how you would treat Zuko if you like him.
Azula: What?
Suki: Kindness?
Azula: No. Do you think I am the older sibling?
Suki: You aren’t?
Azula: No.
Suki: Wait what?!
Azula: I’m the same age as Ty lee. I went to the royal fire academy with her.
Suki: Whao.
Suki: You did and plan all of that shit when you were 14?!
Azula: I don’t know what that tone means.
Suki: Did you have that huge breakdown at 14?
Azula: Now you are simply being rude.
Suki: I don’t believe you. TY LEE COME HERE.
Ty lee: What’s sup?
Suki: Is she the same age as you?
Ty lee, raising an eyebrow: Yes?
Ty lee, realizing: Oh you didn’t know she’s younger than Zuko. It’s the makeup ‘Zula. You look beautiful, but it makes you look older.
Suki: It can’t be.
Azula: Can’t you stop being rude? I look great.
Suki: Not that, asshole. You being younger than Zuko. It doesn’t makes sense…
Azula:
Suki:
Ty lee:
Suki:
Ty lee: I think you broke her? What were you doing before?
Azula: She was explaining to me who I was supposed to teach and how I have to treat them.
Suki: But how she fights…
Ty lee: Oh right, c’mon they’re waiting. They actually pretty nice. You have to be patient ‘Zula.
Azula: Ugh.
Suki: And she played with us…
Ty lee puppy eye’s version: For me please?
Azula: I hate you.
Suki: She conquered Ba Sing Se…
Ty lee: No you don’t. *kiss Azula’s cheek* Hurry up. Bye Suki!
Suki: She killed the avatar…
Suki: AND SHE WAS 14.
Azula, being dragged by Ty lee: Ty, I think you are right. I broke your boss.
Ty lee: I hope that means a vacation for at least a week.
— — — Katara
Katara: You are my age?!
Azula: Hello Azula. How are you Azula? You look great Azula.
Azula: That’s how you have to start a conversation. But yes I am. Why?
Katara: Everything we did.. We were the same age all the time?
Azula: That’s how time works.
Katara: I THOUGHT I WAS BEATING SOMEONE AT LEAST AS OLD AS MY BROTHER
Azula: Why are you yelling at me? Is it a family thing?
Katara: I thought I was so ahead of my age…
Azula: You are a master waterbender without almost any professional help, you heal people with your bending and help to end a 100 year war. Plus you defeated me once. What the fuck are you talking about?
Katara, blushing: Oh, that…that was actually so nice, thanks. I- I appreciate it.
Azula: Your welcome. Now if you excuse me I have things to do.
Katara: Wait.
Azula: What now?
Katara: Can you…?
Azula: I can do a lot of things.
Katara: Well your eyeliner…can you…?
Azula: *sighs* You’re the third person to ask. So I guess it’s your turn.
— — — Zuko
Azula: If someone else imply I’m the oldest sibling you will have to bring back the straightjacket.
Zuko: In my defense they didn’t ask they just assumed.
Azula: You know how many eyeliners I had to do today besides mine? Three. THREE.
Zuko: I think Sokka was going to ask you too, he was looking for you…
Azula: For Agni’s sake.
Azula: At least I hope you don’t want me to teach you too.
Zuko: Mai taught me a long time ago.
Azula: Thank Agni.
Zuko: But I must say I don’t get them. You clearly are my little sister.
Azula: Because I’m a much better version of you?
Zuko: No.
Zuko: Because you are a lot more insufferable and insane than I am.
Azula: If you don’t start running now I’m going to celebrate becoming an only child. Again.
Zuko: Sure buddy.
Azula: One, two-
Zuko: LALA DON’T YOU DARE. STOP THE SPARKING.
— — — Mai & Ty lee
Azula: FIVE five people’s makeup. And I don’t even like them.
Ty lee: Wait five? Suki too?
Azula: I’m counting mine. Adds more drama.
Mai: Such a drama queen.
Azula: But anyway I don’t deserve this.
Mai, raising an eyebrow: You sure?
Ty lee: Look at it as your little price to pay in your healing path. Plus every time you do an eyeliner your aura gets a little bit pinkier. So stop complaining.
Mai: Although I don’t see the big problem with the fact everyone thinks you’re older than Zuko.
Ty lee: True, why is bothering you so much?
Azula: I refuse to think Zuzu ages better than me.
Mai:
Ty lee:
Azula: Whatever. By the way I’m impressed with the little avatar’s fangirls. You were right Ty.
Ty lee: Of course. When am I not?
Mai: When you started to date her.
Azula, starting to sparkle:
Ty lee: And here we go again.
