soooo i was on twitter today, which was a bad idea lol, red white and royal blue related tweets that become popular are being qrted by hateful people. and i hate it.

i hate how they, people who have no interest in rwrb, barge in conversations or takes that have nothing to do with them. they are so hateful and negative and it just dampens the whole mood.

if rwrb fans want to praise the film, the acting, the cast, the writing, and etc. then they have every right to do so, it is after all something that they hold close to their hearts. if rwrb fans want to criticize some parts of the film, then go ahead.

but people who butt in conversations as if they're included in our silly little spaces, talking shit about stuff they don't know about, then that's just an asshole move.

ok so for those of you who don’t know, there’s this twitter account of a japanese local hero mascot named dentman who went viral recently due to this tweet

but yeah he saw the tweet. and his response went viral as well (which is how i found his account)

and he just has like. hourly posts reminding you to brush your teeth

oh and his rival? his name is mr. mutans. whenever dentman posts he makes a post of his own, ofc

but THAT’S NOT ALL. literally while making this post i found a THIRD ACCOUNT that’s all about taking your meds

anyway the point of all this was that people are ALREADY beginning to draw them ship art 😭

Redesigned some of The New Norm characters because THE WOKE TOLD ME TO

(These are the first things I thought of so please be nice to me)

Chaz: pretty obvious why, I made their clothes something an actual teenager/young adult would wear instead of the cult attire that they’ve got on for some reason?? Made the whole look a bit more cohesive and realistic, but also made sure it was still an outfit that an older person would probably disapprove of. I wanted to sort of lean into a more alternative look because of the hair without going all the way, so I gave them a few more piercings and kept the colour of their contacts as eyeliner instead. Also, enby pride socks and a bracelet.

Chloe: she didn’t actually need redesigning but after I did Chaz I realised how similar their new outfit is to what Chloe wears, so I changed her look up a bit. I gave her some jewellery and some more tame piercings because Norm strikes me as the type of parent(?) to not allow anything more dramatic. I also made the colours brighter. As a side note here, I actually quite like her original design, but how do they not say her name ONCE in the entire episode?? Isn’t she one of the main characters? I’m only calling her Chloe because that’s what I’ve seen others say, I have no idea if that’s her name or not.

Janice: I wanted to make her relationship to Chloe (who I assume is her daughter) a bit more obvious so their hair and eyes are the same colour now. I also wanted to try and steer away from her looking like the wife from family guy, so I changed her outfit up a bit more too. A skirt instead of shorts cause again, Norm seems like the type to dictate what you can and can’t wear. I like to think she looks more like an individual now, instead of your average animated wife character.

Billie: that was the ugliest cartoon dog I’ve ever seen. Why did they draw it like that. This was more of an artstyle change than anything. However, it’s also stated during the episode that it’s an emotional support dog, which I thought was an interesting thing to include because that means someone in the household needs an emotional support animal. I figure it might be Norm’s pet, as we can see that he has some anger issues, and I also figure any animal that has to be in Norm’s presence for an extended period of time would be pretty damn sad. Billie needs its own emotional support animal at this point.
