Context; I have my own little Modern Borderlands AU, where Tim and Jack are twins, and since I started working on that AU, all I want is redrawing Hitachin twin screenshots (this one was based on this) :’)

He had had them often in the many years since they were separated. Dreams that seemed so real, a longing that had never abated. She was born with him, for him. Then Robert and those bastards had taken her, along with the rest of his family. That Kingslayer and his whore sister had gained a much more significant standing after that, he had heard. Viserys was somewhat drunk this night. Leaning back in the bath tube he had been in with Doreah, whispering deceptive words of Daenerys into his ear while she had been there.

Sleeping, Viserys' head dropped back onto the cushion on the edge of the tub, drifting away into the world inside of his mind. A place he had always been able to find the most peace for himself. As the waking world was full of anger and paranoia. His dreaming world had been full of memories, or at times, made up situations he had wanted to happen in his life. How his life should have been, sinking into the water of his tub, Viserys drifted farther, a tiny voice starting to call out. Him as a child appearing in the darkness.

The boy ran forward, calling out toward his mother, before finally running into a familiar area, one he had not seen since the night he and his mother had fled. Viserys' appearance in his dream had changed, he had been older, as he appeared in the waking world. Walking around inside the garden he had not seen in so many years, he reached out to brush his hand along a bird bath, eying it longingly as he recalled memories of sitting by it in his childhood, playing with toys and chatting with his mother and twins sister "You should have gone with-Why did father- What was he thinking keeping you there." He had tried for so many years to understand it all. Of course, the only place he could see her, was his delirious mind conjuring her up in his dreams.

TeacherGetoAU/TwinAU: it's something that has been bugging me, but wouldn't geto's presence have a direct effect on the students abilities and on how the story would play out? Like did yuta get stronger due to it? Did hakari stay at the school? Did Megumi become stronger due to having a fellow shikigami/curse sorcerer to learn from? Geto becoming a teacher is bound to create many waves and I wanna know your thoughts on those

P.S, what would Sukuna think about teacher geto?

Geto becoming a teacher in the twins AU would indeed impact the students' abilities. For one, unlike Gojo, he's actually good at teaching the fundamentals of jujutsu to those unfamiliar with it -personal experience, you could say, as someone who came from a regular household and only fully entered the jujutsu world during high school.

Yuta would be stronger, although that's also in large part due to Gojo's Special Tutoring. The twins help Yuta sort out his bond with Rika, and actually teach him how to use a sword.

Hakari would remain at the school. Gojo kinda just looms around in the background while the higher ups are deliberating over Hakari's punishment for using 'inappropriate force' against another (clan) sorcerer.

Geto would also have tips for Fushiguro; his fighting style is rather similar to a shikigami user's skillset. The two of them would get along well, I think.

Have you seen the part 2 of JL vs RWBY, if so, after the emotional conversation yang and ruby had, how do thing that sort of conversation goes between the 3 siblings in the TwinAU ? (Ex. Jaune and Ruby, Yang and Jaune or even the 3 of the having a heart to heart with each other).

I have not seen JL PT2 and honestly I don’t intend to

Due to how my brain works, if my favourite character of a thing doesn’t show up in a thing, I lose all internet in it. This has happened multiple times, and JL PT2 is just the latest

(i’m going to add a fuckin glossary at the end of this bc i realized halfway through reading this that this may be hard to read for anybody who isnt up to date on MaD terminology, aka, a large majority of my followers) i started a sandbox paracosm of miraculous ladybug back in 2016 and a large majority was based around giving fict!adrien (and fict!felix, because i had such a big love for 2017 TwinAU) and i strived on sort of fixing the family dynamic because think about the base universe the writers really gave me: rich fashion designer father with a teenage son in a mansion in france. he’s absent, but its due to grief. he lives a sheltered life. 

usually what ends up happening in a lot of the timelines is, an equally famous teenage girl comes to town in a need to stay, usually a family friends. i tend to include powers unrelated to the miraculous box (a separate miraculous that she was trained to use back home) because it create good story points for the main miraculous team getting defensive because How Could She Have A Miraculous? Who IS She?

and obviously, because i try to make a reformed gabe, i’ve taken away the role of hawkmoth from him all together. he comes to his senses and favors adrien over the miraculous. who DOES become hawkmoth tends to switch depending on which sandbox im in, sometimes its a new para i’ve created and other times its an older version of lila. i like getting the kids involved in the fashion more, like with actual outfit inspiration and them making their own designs with marinette and bringing it to gabe like “look >:) we got u ur newest kids fashion line >:))” and he’s just like “oh my god not again get OUT of my office im going to have a nervous breakdown”

and i always like to make chloe this ambigous character, where, shes mean and catty but its because of TraumaTM and she has her moments and slowly starts to learn as Alora enters the picture because heres an Even Richer, Even More Powerful Daughter Whos Nice? To “Poor” People? and of course at first chloe is like ‘no wtf’  but she becomes more willing to be nice the longer she see’s alora doing it.

Lila has fully taken over the position of resident school bully, and yes she does lie, but a mass majority of people don’t believe her. she tries to befriend the new kids who don’t really know the truth, and she tries to warp their perspectives. but she isnt JUST a liar-- she’s a proper bully to everybody. mocking people, insulting them, and trying to start fight to help herself create akumas i might talk about this more in the future, but thats all i can think to mention thats important. if you have any questions pls dont hesitate to ask!

So, I answered an Ask Me about twin AU and I said I love them because I love more Cales. I also branched out on that reply saying that og!cale and KRS would have been good brothers to each other. However, your post and replies were also spot on. As much as I would love the twinAU prompt, I agree the way the prompt often develops is often favorable to KRS more than Cale. For me at least, the twinAU mechanism is a way to incorporate KRS into a 'proper' family setting and 'solve' the dilemma of when the other character finds out that KRS is not actually the really Cale Henituse. In some prompts, the twinAU was really uncomfortable. I remember reading one on Twitter where KRS married Cale to Alver but Cale ran away.  KRS then married Alver but divorced him. I was like, why did you marry your twins husband for eff’s sake? That is just so mind-blowing and stupid. At least, the author didn’t force a ‘happy ending’ because that would be so awkward and cringe.

I also agree with @idontknowmyownmind, that the point of the trope was equalize KRS and Cale in terms of family but not to go at extreme edge of pitting them over each other. And I also agree, that some authors try to pit for drama and angst (which I will not deny that I love) but it defeats the purpose in the first place. There are also some prompts where the Henituse family dynamics didn’t change but also worsened. So, I agree I read them for variety and I like them for the sake of what could have beens. They are definitely works in that trope that is not pleasant but cross fingers for better material in the future.

Why I don't read Twins AUs

I know this is a popular AU and I'm probably part of the minority that don't really read it, but I don't read it because of this one reason.

Favoritism.

This is often the case in fics where OG!Cale (regardless of whether or not he regressed) continued acting like trash, if he hasn't regressed, this makes him an actual teenager compared to the mentally-adult KRS (especially in react fics), who is often in the younger twin role. It's inevitable for people to start comparing the two and declare KRS as the better and more mature twin even if he's lazy. I've always hated this trope and tend to avoid it. I also feel like they baby KRS too much in those AUs.

If any of you read my stories and posts, then you'd know that I love OG!Cale. However, it is mostly specifically because we don't actually know much about him. We know that he loved his family and his role in the 20 year war with the WS. However, much of his background and actual personality is still left vague. Because OG!Cale only appeared for only one scene, he is one of the more mysterious characters in the series and I'm almost certain he knows more than he's letting on. This allows me to bend his character however I wish.

I'm okay with KRS. He is a great character with a well-written story. However, I simply didn't really click with him. This is because I've always had a preference for characters such as Dazai Osamu of "Bungou Stray Dogs". I just love actual villains that simply turned morally grey rather than outright good.

There is also Artezia "Tia" Rosan of "The Villainess Lives Twice". I love her because she was an actual villainess who truly made a lot of people (both enemies and the innocent) suffer before trying to atone for her actions.

This is simply just my personal preference and opinion so there's no need to take it seriously.

Why I Left pt.2

     Its been 5 years since my kidnapping, honestly I had thought that they were going to treat me just like grandfather had. But I was wrong, though while kidnapping me they did use chloraphorm and sleeping drugs to knock me out and keep me out till we reached Paris. They are actually all extremely nice. During the first month I had struggled, lashed out, and refused to listen to them. But they took it kindly. Fu would prepare me tea and poor himself a cup from the same pot as well as allow me to add my own sugar and cream and such. Sabien would sit by me and as the month progressed she would do my hair in intricate braids while Tom would bake snacks for me while I watched and taught me videogames. It was these things that caused me to eventually trust them enough to sit and listen.

      Fu explained to me about his twin Ra’s and the order and creation of The League of Assasigns. He continued on and told me everything, they has kidnapped me because the kwami Tikki had said my energy was the perfect match to her miraculous. At that time they had no clue Ra’s had a daughter let alone grandchildren. I had to explain it all on the notepad they had given me to respond with. They were surprised by Damian and I’s existence and horrified with my treatment, not just by the league ether. After that they began to teach me so many things. How to fight, to use my miraculous, to cook and bake, to sew when I showed interest, to dance, and most importantly to speak in so many languages and not just the slim Arabic and English that I had figured out how to say. By the age of 11 I was able to join public school under the new identity they gave to me for the duration of my time with them, I was now to be known as Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I got 2 years of being a mostly normal kid, before Hawkmoth finally appeared not long after I turned 13. From that point on I was the “daughter” of 2 bakers who was actually the runaway but later discovered to have been kidnapped Wayne. As well as Ladybug heroin of Paris, who fought alongside her trusty partner Chat Nior. Well our partnership has had its ups and downs, him being a constant flirt with no comprehension of boundaries or what the word no means. But we got buy for a while.

     When I turned 14 Lila had shown up and tore away all the friends I had made and helped me to discover just how spineless and stupid my partner truly was. Yes I know Chats identity have since day one and to be honest I’m surprised grandpa Fu even picked him being in a rush or not. It was just days after he told me to take the high road when I took his miraculous from him. Which brings us to now. I sigh as I sit in my seat in the back of the classroom and open my laptop getting ready to check the latest in Wayne news when the front of the class breaks out in excitement.

    “I can’t believe that the Wayne's are coming to Paris!!! Girl you will finally be able to see your childhood friend after so long,” Alya said as she nudged Lila. I sit up in surprise as I had not known that, but then again she hadn't checked on the latest Wayne news in about a week due to being busy with schooling, hero work and commissions.

    “Well they did find evidence that Aara was brought to Paris after her tragic kidnapping, I just hope that they find her soon, I miss the long conversations we used to have.” Lila said wiping away a stray fake tear. I rolled my eyes before packing my stuff back into my bag and walking to the door. Mrs. Bustier entered as I was about to exit.

“Where do you think you are going Marinette,”  She said drawing the attention of the class to us. 

  “I’m not feeling the greatest Ms. Bustier I was gonna try and get through the day but I don't think I can,” I replied hoping to be able to leave quickly and to talk to Grandpa Fu, Aunty Bean and Uncle Tom. “I’m sorry Marinette but I cant let any of you leave right now,” she responded.

    “Why not,” I asked I really needed to get out of their. “Because it is suspected that the missing Wayne may ether be in this school or that someone here has seen her since her kidnapping. So the Wayne's, some of their friends, a few Justice League members and local law enforcement will be coming to look over the classes and talk to you all. But first their will be an assembly on the court so that they can explain some things about her and to show us an old picture and an aged up photo. I'm sorry that you don't feel well but I need you to go sit down and we will see about letting you go as soon as possible. 

Now I really felt nauseous, its not that I don't want to go home, or to see them all again. Because I would love nothing more then that, don't get me wrong I love grandpa, aunty and uncle. But I miss my father even though we never got to bond, I miss my adopted brothers and sisters, I miss Alfred the cat, I miss titus and batcow, I miss Granpy Alfie I miss mom who joined them not long after I went missing, but most importantly I miss my twin brother Damian. But if they find me now they will spirit me away and keep me under lock and key. Plus what would happen to Fu, Tom and Bean if they find me. I sit back quietly and pull out my phone. texting the groupchat I have with them.

                       Pops: Yes we did

                                  Bean: They are going to find out about you ether way, if not at school then here because Talia found out about us being related and tracked us down.

I sigh as Tom texted

  Tommy: Mari, we need the help of the League you cant keep going as you are.

I guess he is right, I hope that when they eventually find me I can explain things and get them to understand. Deciding I was done with texting them for now I decided to pull out my design book and sketch up a few ideas I have had floating around in my head for a while. This went on for about an hour before we were all called down to the assembly.

It turns out that i was not the first person who used the nickname Starlight for Dani i came across an older post that used the nickname in a twinau where Dani mistakes Damian for danny who calls her that when he runs up to her. unfortunately my tumblr reset and i lost the post so i cant link it to share it. Hey so this is kinda inspired by @virgamsysxvolumes lucky rush au but it's more my own twist on the bioshock inspiration. Actual prompt / idea below the cut

Ok so this would be a good parents au where Danny revealed himself to his parents shortly after the series (excluding phantom planet) and they were super supportive and asked for his help in learning more about ghosts. He also managed to track down Dani and brought her back to Amity only to learn that the ecto dejecto was only a quick fix. Eventually with Frostbites help they cure Dani but the only way is to essentially turn her into her core and let her form a new body in a special pod only she would be a baby. Now at first Jack and Maddie were going to fake a pregnancy and pretend she was Danny's and Jazz's sister however she and Danny bonded while they were looking for a cure and she accidentally called him Daddy. Danny was smitten and decided he would not pretend to be her brother and would be her dad.

The fentons pass it off as an invention gone weird that basically made a baby from Danny with no mother and Amity just shrugs at the Fenton weirdness and accept baby Dawn (She asked Danny to give her a new name before she was turned to a baby and I think that would be a cute name Danny would come up with.) Now 4 years later Danny is 19 or 20 and Dawn is 4 years old and Danny had been studying inventing like his parents and medicine from Frostbite. At Dawn's most recent check up Frostbite gave Danny one as well only to discover that Danny has been absorbing more ecto-energy than his core can handle because he is a primordial in the making (yes this is master of space Danny). So the solution to this is two-fold he has to move to another dimension with less ecto-energy and he has to where a special suit in his ghost form that frostbite and his parents made together. Which is this.

Just without the drill and maybe a little more astronaut themed.

So eventually they pack up Danny and Dawn and find a new dimension with a city where they can live without people asking too many questions. Gotham city. With the number of vigilantes already there Danny won't feel obligated to go out and fight and he can finish his degree at Gotham U and start a business making and selling meta specialized medical equipment and other helpful inventions. (But no weapons.)

So Danny and Dawn with their new identities and parents/grandparents, aunts and uncles (blood and honorary) settle in pretty well with Danny and Dawn going out on moonlit walks in Ghost form. Thus the people of Gotham meet Big Daddy and his little starlight.

Now as for who I would ship with Danny I personally love DannyxCass or Dead silent as I think the current ship name for them is.

So maybe she meets the single dad Danny at college or at the park for the first time but they don't really hit it off until Danny signs Dawn up for a ballet class that Cass teaches.

Meanwhile Bruce and the more paranoid Bat's are trying to find out more about this tank like Meta that the public named big daddy (I imagine people heard Dawn calling him Daddy and No one ever asked his name so they start calling him that as a sort of meme) after he beat down a feral ManBat who tried to go after Starlight. (They heard Danny call her that in the suit and ran with it)

Basically we have creepy tank man and his glowing ghostly daughter on one side and sweet Cass and Danny romance with little gremlin Dawn trying to play matchmaker on the other.

Also what I think the other bat's think of Cass new boyfriend.

Dick is full overprotective big brother.

Jason after seeing the way that Danny is trying to help the underprivileged and the fact that they are like something out of a Hallmark movie ships it.

Tim is paranoid about this stranger and is back to his old habits(stalking) to find answers.

Steph is full Gung ho wing women she will be Cass bridesmaid God dammit.

Damien starts off hostile thinking there is no way he's good enough for his favorite sister until he meets Dawn and suddenly he is declaring that Cass needs to hurry up and marry him or else he will because he will have that adorable little girl in his family no matter what.

Duke is wary at first because he hadn't ever seen someone who glows as bright as Danny and Dawn but the more time he spends with them the more he realizes that the bright glow is a safe and protective aura and that it reaches out and covers everyone Danny cares about. (Danny has a ghostly aura he subconsciously covers people he cares about with that let's him react to danger faster)

Alfred is already planning out weddings and birthdays. He always expected Dick to be the first one to give him Great grand babies but he's not complaining.

Bruce much like Dick is full over protective dad maybe he even borrows one of Alfred's guns to try to intimidate Danny.

Barbara who is both a big sister figure and a almost mother like figure to Cass is absolutely delighted. (It doesn't hurt that Danny made a set of leg braces that can read nerves to allow her to walk naturally again without needing surgery)

Selina adores the two and thinks they make a cute couple.

Also I think it would be funny if after all of Bruce, Dicks, and Tim's paranoia Danny just strait up tells them that he is from another dimension and even offers to let them tag along on the next visit to his parents so they can do a proper background check (which freaks them out because they hadn't told him they were doing that. At least until while they are discussing it and if that was evidence that Danny is more than he appears Cass says she told him that they were doing a background check on him. Not that Danny didn't already know but it helps the suspicion.)

But yeah part neutral Meta and park Hallmark romance.

Also maybe a side plot of Jazz coming to this dimension and maybe she has a relationship with Supergirl because I haven't seen that before.

So I decided I'm revamping and reviving my secret saturdays Twin AU. So have some musing tidbits. This is after main events leading to Zak Monday staying with the saturdays and becoming Kaz Saturday

Kaz and the rest of the saturdays still can't figure out why Kaz doesn't cause a reality disruption anymore. Amd they're honestly not sure they want to

Kaz lost his craving for evil after his bout with amnesia. But that doesn't mean he's not still a mischevious little butthead.

Is pretty close to doc after they had a gentle heart to heart.

Kaz craves affection from doc and drew more than Zak does due to how he never truly got proper parental affection.

Needs alot of validation. His worst fear is him somehow becoming evil again. He also worrys he'd never be able to help everyone like Zak can due to how his powers make cryptids rampage out of control.

Kaz HATES being alone. He tends to stick to Zak, fisk and komodo alot

Zak is that brother that would do anything in the world to make you happy. After everything they went through as far as Zak was concerned, Kaz might as well been actually born as his twin.

Kaz really likes chess. Is good at it too. Zak doesn't understand a lick of how the game goes but he loves seeing his brother get excited.

Kaz has chronic nightmares. When he has a particularly bad night he'll climb up to any of the family he can get to. Didn't do it at first cuz he worried he'd be being too much of a baby.

Kaz Has some bad anxiety and PTSD thanks to the mondays.

Kaz flat out called Doyle a walking diaster once. Doc struggled to tell his son that was rude but it took everything the man had to not laugh.
