Blue looked conflicted in what to do or say but, he's made it this far. He can't take it back, he needed to talk.

" And I just lose track of you, sometimes I wondered if the next time would be the last. So I get stuck wondering. I couldn't think about it at college because I had...A lot happening but even then I still thought about you. " Blue felt his skin turn into pins and needles, his still heart was accelerating. Being this sincere was always so odd, he rather be making jokes not pouring his heart out.

"Red. I love you more than I can really say and it's fine that you don't feel the same. I just always wanted to tell you but didn't always know what this feeling was. I'm sorry. "

Blue was getting flustered, but he was already in too deep to back away and pretend it was just a lapse or a joke. Haha sorry I was just pulling your leg... Even for him that was just in bad taste and treating Red like he's a moron after he just told him he's jealous wasn't the smartest move.

So he read his hands and tried to calm himself to give the other a proper answer. This day was supposed to never happen, but he thought of every scenario. Though he failed to take into account it, it would happen up a giant tree.

He sighed. The words came out like acid, they were hard to say. Hard to acknowledge his failure as a friend.

"Why you is a question I asked myself constantly. I never got you out of my head, and I just can't shake the thought of what ifs out of my mind. What if I confessed earlier? What if you said not how would that affect us? What if you said yes? Would you still be here? I just..."

He gripped his hair before letting looking defeated.

"I never asked because you looked dead when you came back. You looked like you had a heavy weight on your shoulder, but it keeps growing heavier. It's not like that's an excuse for anything, but... I don't know. I don't know how to move on or if I even want to. Not unless you just say you don't want this, and maybe I'll finally move on."

Had me spooked for a second." Blue joked, still all smiles knowing they did the impossible as a team! It felt good. It was also scary but they made it through. Just like before.

"Don't worry too much about field work...I'll keep you busy with more documents and data entry." Reaching to pat his shoulder and giving it a good pat to it. "can't let you off the hook yet as my junior assistant."

"Hey Hey! Glad you're moving around, you making a smooth recovery?" Blue gave Giovanni a grin hoping for things to go back to normal after all...THAT.

"All things considered, I'm doing quite well."

He wouldn't call it smooth. There were still a few scares and hiccups, but the process overall had been a positive one.

"It'll still be a while before I can do things in the field, and manual work, but I have things to occupy myself."

He'd been writing down operation guides for the pylons for future reference, and his own studies on the biotech that made Jack... along with the invention that did preserve his "soul" for lack of a better term.
