I wonder if the transphobes who always go on about how we're trying to "trans" their kids know that we don't actually want that? Sure, some people make jokes about how they hope that these people end up with queer kids so that they'll have to deal with what is effectively their worst nightmare, but we don't actually want that.
I've put actual thought into how much I wish that transphobes and homophobes never had gay kids or trans kids or kids that are just a little bit nonconforming because then there's a child stuck in an unsafe environment that they can't escape from. These people won't learn a lesson from having a queer kid, but the kid sure will.
I hope that these people have kids who never have to find out that their parents' love is conditional because the fastest way to learn that is by stumbling upon that condition. They'll have to come to the realization that the people who are supposed to love and support them the most will only truly love them if they fit into a made up box of criteria in their heads. That's a devastating thing for a child to realize and I hope that they never do.
I wish that queer children were only born to people who will love them for who they are, instead of some imaginary version of who they should be. Kids deserve to believe that their parents will love them no matter what, even if that isn't true.
So, no. I don't want to "trans" your children. In fact, I hope that your children are exactly who you want them to be, for their sake, not yours, so that they never, ever have to find out what happens if they aren't.

Years ago, when I was a kid, maybe 7-8, i heard about Caitlin Jenner being transgender and I asked one of my older sisters what it meant, and the other one butted in and explained what it was in a transphobic way, then told me she used to be friends with a transgender girl, but wasn't anymore because of the catholic churchs teachings on being transgender. Anyways I think I accidentally found that girl on facebook and incase an Australian transgender girl by the name of Maia who used to know a transphobic Grace sees this, block her. You're still friends on facebook and thats how I found you.

I find it quite odd that transphobes almost always immediately assume that trans women are transitioning for a fetish, like, can they not comprehend that transitioning is not inherently sexual?
…and then a lightbulb went off in my head.
TLDR; at the bottom.
I've heard so many transphobes say that trans women are "just crossdressers who want to assault women", and when I hear this shit all I can think is like, why do you assume that crossdressing is only a sexual thing? Because that is exactly what I think is being implied.
Like it gives me so many questions, because to me, assuming that all trans women are "just crossdressers with a fetish", besides the obvious transphobia, sounds like they cannot comprehend that a man crossdressing is not inherently sexual. They think that trans women are crossdressers, and that crossdressing is sexual, so, by their logic, a trans woman transitioning is always sexual and to fulfil a fetish.
And so I managed to come to a conclusion of why they think this way, because, to transphobes, it goes like this:
crossdressing= sexual. trans women= crossdressers. and then they come to their ridiculous conclusion: that, because crossdressing is sexual, and trans women are just crossdressers, it means that transitioning is always sexual and that trans women are just transitioning to fulfil a fetish.
Bigots think that, for trans women, transitioning is no different than crossdressing, and by claiming they're both sexual, to me it sounds like you're assuming that a man crossdressing is always sexual, as if it cannot be for anything other than to fulfil a fetish.
and then it gives me a new question, which is:
Why do you assume that a man dressing feminine is only doing so for a fetish? why do you assume that someone you consider to be "man" can't dress in women's clothing without it being sexual? Why do you sexualise femininity when the person is not fitting the standards of who society says is allowed to?
Why do you assume that trans women are transitioning because they believe they are too weak to be men, that if they're weak men it means they have to become women? Why do you think trans women transition because they think cis women are weaker than men, or that they think woman=feminine, which means women are weak bc they're feminine and men can't be weak, so they transition as a way to "degrade womanhood"? Or that being feminine is weak because that's what women are, maybe that fits better? idk.
So yeah, that is the conclusion I've come to about why they think this way.
TLDR; Transphobes think that transitioning is sexual because, to them, trans women are crossdressers, and they think crossdressing is fetishistic and an act of degradation and misogyny towards womanhood and femininity, which means that trans women do the exact same by transitioning.
idk if this is classified as transmisogyny but if it is please let me know so I can tag appropriately, also remember that I'm a trans man, so this isn't from first-hand experience, it's from what I've observed. Also, I have difficulty putting my thoughts into words so if this is written a bit odd then that's why.

Homemaking, gardening, and self-sufficiency resources that won't radicalize you into a hate group
It seems like self-sufficiency and homemaking skills are blowing up right now. With the COVID-19 pandemic and the current economic crisis, a lot of folks, especially young people, are looking to develop skills that will help them be a little bit less dependent on our consumerist economy. And I think that's generally a good thing. I think more of us should know how to cook a meal from scratch, grow our own vegetables, and mend our own clothes. Those are good skills to have.
Unfortunately, these "self-sufficiency" skills are often used as a recruiting tactic by white supremacists, TERFs, and other hate groups. They become a way to reconnect to or relive the "good old days," a romanticized (false) past before modern society and civil rights. And for a lot of people, these skills are inseparably connected to their politics and may even be used as a tool to indoctrinate new people.
In the spirit of building safe communities, here's a complete list of the safe resources I've found for learning homemaking, gardening, and related skills. Safe for me means queer- and trans-friendly, inclusive of different races and cultures, does not contain Christian preaching, and does not contain white supremacist or TERF dog whistles.
Homemaking/Housekeeping/Caring for your home:
Making It by Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen [book] (The big crunchy household DIY book; includes every level of self-sufficiency from making your own toothpaste and laundry soap to setting up raised beds to butchering a chicken. Authors are explicitly left-leaning.)
Safe and Sound: A Renter-Friendly Guide to Home Repair by Mercury Stardust [book] (A guide to simple home repair tasks, written with rentals in mind; very compassionate and accessible language.)
How To Keep House While Drowning by KC Davis [book] (The book about cleaning and housework for people who get overwhelmed by cleaning and housework, based on the premise that messiness is not a moral failing; disability and neurodivergence friendly; genuinely changed how I approach cleaning tasks.)
Gardening
Rebel Gardening by Alessandro Vitale [book] (Really great introduction to urban gardening; explicitly discusses renter-friendly garden designs in small spaces; lots of DIY solutions using recycled materials; note that the author lives in England, so check if plants are invasive in your area before putting them in the ground.)
Country/Rural Living:
Woodsqueer by Gretchen Legler [book] (Memoir of a lesbian who lives and works on a rural farm in Maine with her wife; does a good job of showing what it's like to be queer in a rural space; CW for mentions of domestic violence, infidelity/cheating, and internalized homophobia)
"Debunking the Off-Grid Fantasy" by Maggie Mae Fish [video essay] (Deconstructs the off-grid lifestyle and the myth of self-reliance)
Sewing/Mending:
Annika Victoria [YouTube channel] (No longer active, but their videos are still a great resource for anyone learning to sew; check out the beginner project playlist to start. This is where I learned a lot of what I know about sewing.)
Make, Sew, and Mend by Bernadette Banner [book] (A very thorough written introduction to hand-sewing, written by a clothing historian; lots of fun garment history facts; explicitly inclusive of BIPOC, queer, and trans sewists.)
Sustainability/Land Stewardship
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer [book] (Most of you have probably already read this one or had it recommended to you, but it really is that good; excellent example of how traditional animist beliefs -- in this case, indigenous American beliefs -- can exist in healthy symbiosis with science; more philosophy than how-to, but a great foundational resource.)
Wild Witchcraft by Rebecca Beyer [book] (This one is for my fellow witches; one of my favorite witchcraft books, and an excellent example of a place-based practice deeply rooted in the land.)
Avoiding the "Crunchy to Alt Right Pipeline"
Note: the "crunchy to alt-right pipeline" is a term used to describe how white supremacists and other far right groups use "crunchy" spaces (i.e., spaces dedicated to farming, homemaking, alternative medicine, simple living/slow living, etc.) to recruit and indoctrinate people into their movements. Knowing how this recruitment works can help you recognize it when you do encounter it and avoid being influenced by it.
"The Crunchy-to-Alt-Right Pipeline" by Kathleen Belew [magazine article] (Good, short introduction to this issue and its history.)
Sisters in Hate by Seyward Darby (I feel like I need to give a content warning: this book contains explicit descriptions of racism, white supremacy, and Neo Nazis, and it's a very difficult read, but it really is a great, in-depth breakdown of the role women play in the alt-right; also explicitly addresses the crunchy to alt-right pipeline.)
These are just the resources I've personally found helpful, so if anyone else has any they want to add, please, please do!

You know how sometimes ya just think of past conversations with people...
I was thinking of one I had with my cousin, who was like 14 at the time, about psychology cause it's one of their intrests and them randomly bringing up this logical fallacy about transness and trauma with the idea that transness comes from trauma because of how many trans people have trauma
Now I'm just wondering why in the world they brought it up????
#it feels both validating and rude as fuck#tw transphobia mentioned#past convos#they still have time to learn from this and I'm not holding it against them#transgender

fuck it, my black trans guy experience has been:
other trans people(especially fellow trans men) invalidating my identity because I don't conform to gender norms or whatever bullshit cope they can think of
being fetishized constantly cuz I present fem. even in conversations that aren't even sex related. been told I'm "an easy cheat for straight people" or a heavy fixation on my breast
seeing queers who are white benefit from including black queers in their talking points but in some ways excluding us or tokenizing us.
oh yeah and the extreme transphobes misgendering me and threatening me with corrective SA
but I've also had positive experiences such as inspiring other trans and even cis folks to stay true to themselves and basically express themselves however they want. i like being myself but it sure is scary sometimes.

"when you come for trans women you come for all women"
when you come for trans women you come for all women
when. you. come. for. trans. women. you. come. for. all. women.
I'm white, and don't identify as intersex, but i am a woman with broad shoulders, thick armpit hair, and a mustache that would make every boy at the local middle school jealous.
i spent my whole life hating my body for being too hairy, too big, to fat, too manly.
then my boobs grew, my hips widened, muscles started showing through the stretchmarks, and i started to look like a woman
and yet, when my transmasc, 15-year-old, titty-having, tampon-wearing ass waves a trans pride flag, i get "clocked" as transfemme
when you come for trans women
you come for all women
-violet
Wait... Wait wait wait, let me understand something.
So for this cisgender woman with naturally high testosterone (and/or an intersex condition, I do not know her specific condition and it's honestly none of my business) has to be be forced to take the same testosterone suppressing medications that these same competitive regulatory committee said wasn't good enough to suppress trans women's testosterone to allow them to compete in women's sports.
If she has naturally high testosterone, similar to that that trans women experience in their lives pre-transition then wouldn't she have the same advantages that a trans woman supposedly inherently has and can not be corrected with said testosterone suppression?
Like, no one should have to undergo forced medical treatment to be able to compete or to make it "fair" for their competition. Other athletes have all kinds of natural advantages, like Michael Phelps having an abnormal wingspan and larger lungs and heart. In fact, every high level athlete has some kind of physical advantage, that's how they're such high level athletes. You think the people they beat out for their spots just, what, didn't work as hard? Didn't grab those bootstraps tight enough? Fuck no.
Racism, intersexism, and transphobia are all linked, and this case is maybe the most glaringly obvious one.

If you only ever mention trans mascs & men in relation to misogyny when you want to talk about how we're capable of being misogynistic (which wow you've discovered that afab people can be sexist? good job, I learned that at like 11 probably but I'm glad you got there eventually) and never in terms of how we're affected & harmed by it, how it puts us at risk of being sexually abused & exploited by family members, partners & in workplaces, forcefully detransitioned, forced into unwanted pregnancies, murdered etc, then I don't trust you and don't consider you an ally to trans people btw

My favorite thing ever is to go into the comment section of wholesome posts about the trans community, find the trolls and absolutely destroy them.
So you don't want to live in a city which has has the trans flag painted onto lamp posts? Cool, please leave. Thank you.
And when they come at me with some variation of "you transgenders are... [redacted] and that's why [purposefully misgendering me]..."
And it's just so funny to me, bc yes, I have my pronouns in my bio. I'm not trans. But because I don't agree with them, they just assume? Lmao.
Anyway, I hope that by doing this I can put transphobes in their place and take the angry rants that might do great harm if directed at someone who isn't as secure in their gender identity yet.
Also, watching transphobes fail is fun. They really have no idea what they're doing, do they?
Just remember, you know yourself and your gender identity best! Stay save! There are people who love you!

So in case some of you don't know, I'm a trans 16yr old in Western Australia, AKA the worst Aus state to live in for trans minors.
I'm serious.
This state is behind on LGBT+ rights by at LEAST 5 years compared to the other states of Aus, our government has been promising to outlaw conversion therapy for the past year (give or take) and still hasn't made it into law. Despite what people believe, conversion therapy is still LEGAL, sure it's difficult to find but it is still fucking legal.
Out of the entire state of WA there is only one clinic that can offer gender affirming care to under 18s, besides the one that offers it to 17-25yr olds, and that is the Gender Diversity Service at Perth Children's Hospital. WA is a huge state, so if you lived in Albany you would need to drive over five hours to get to Perth, it is a ten hour drive there and back.
Sure they offer Telehealth appointments but what about when you need to get your HRT script, or your height and weight recorded? Sure you can do it via Telehealth and give them that info through email but they prefer to meet face to face.
The GDS doesn't have enough staff to meet the demand, and the waitlist for an actual appointment with your care team after the initial assessment is three years. I was on the waitlist from 11-13 1/2 (eleven to thirteen and a half), by the time I had my first real appointment I couldn't even be prescribed puberty blockers because I had already finished puberty. And because of the lack of info regarding minors transitioning in WA, and minors transitioning in Australia in general, my parents were unaware puberty blockers were even a thing, and I ended up thinking that I could start T at 14 with parental consent and after being deemed Gillick Competent.
nope
You can only start HRT here after you turn 16, unless you want to get a telehealth appointment over East and in which case, good luck, because most Drs over there that prescribe to minors are completely booked out. And to make things worse for my mental health, the psychiatrist on my care team said that if I didn't start attending school regularly that I wouldn't be deemed Gillick Competent and therefore, wouldn't be able to start T until I was 18.
That caused me to start having panic attacks almost daily, both while I was getting ready for school and at school drop-off. I was a complete mess, because this psychiatrist held the power to deny me medical care over something that had nothing to do with my ability to comprehend or consent to HRT. I wanted to file a complaint so badly, but my dad wouldn't let me, he said that he didn't have an opinion on it because he wasn't a medical professional and therefore didn't know the standards. So I bit my tongue, because if I did file a complaint she would know who did it, and even if she didn't she would still be kicked off my care team, and then I would have to wait months for a new psychiatrist which wasn't an option, so I clenched my teeth and let her words cause me a depressive episode.
There is so little information regarding transition for minors in WA, that even when I specified what state I was in, I still got info for the other states. So many doctors are still ignorant when it comes to the LGBT+ and trans people, that my own paediatrician tried saying that if gender roles didn't exist, or if a trans person lived on an island isolated from society, that gender dysphoria wouldn't even be a thing. Which is completely untrue, and I was in too much shock from hearing such utter bullshit that I didn't even respond.
I wanted to file a complaint, but my dad argued that he was just being "supportive" in his own way, and that because he was also both my brothers paediatricians, he couldn't possibly have some bias against me, because he's known our family for over twenty years. Mind you, that doctor is known for being dismissive towards girls/females/AFABS with autism and he is very "old fashioned" (cough, ignorant, cough), so why the fuck wouldn't he be ignorant towards the actual science around gender dysphoria?
And then a member of a political party in my state recently proposed that if she was voted into Parliament, that she would ban HRT, Puberty Blockers, and gender affirming surgery, for under 16s.
Which is quite... funny, because HRT is already illegal here for under 16s and you have to have a psych eval that takes years, surgery is only done in cases where gender dysphoria has been documented from a young age and only after multiple very long, very tedious psychological evaluations and even then there still aren't any surgeons in the entire state that would do affirming surgery on minors.
And then banning puberty blockers for under 16s is just fucking horeshit, because how the fuck do you expect puberty blockers to work on someone over 16?? There is nothing to block! Most teens have gone through Tanner stages 1,2 and 3 by age 16 so there are no more significant changes to be prevented, except maybe height but even then its not a guarantee.
She only announced this after it was confirmed that the gender reassignment board would be abolished, therefore making it so that trans people no longer have to have genital surgery to have their sex markers changed in our state, y'know, something that most of the other states have already done.
I'll probably continue this post after i get the rest of my thoughts in order, so I'll tell you all (glances at 50 followers, most of whom are bots) more about how shitty this state is for trans minors maybe in a few days.

I got this comment on a post that I made about being a trans man and noticing how we’re perceived by others. This person is blocked now because I don’t want some transphobe on my blog, but I want to talk a little bit about this.
I like how this person’s trying to convince me that I’m wrong while saying that the only people who would be attracted to us are lesbians who are into butch women. But they can’t use those exact words or else we’ll all KNOW that they’re misgendering us. It’s interesting. Let’s play a game! TERF or transandrophobe. (I’m not scrolling through their blog long enough to find out.)
Okay. Let’s pretend that we live in their world, where trans men are not also a porn category (as someone pointed out in a response comment), and get to the deep cuts!
Now maybe this person defines oversexualization in a different way, and frequently commenting on our bodies—especially our chests—is totally cool and normal to them, because I literally have a post talking about the Tik Tok trend of “oh trans man wants me to respect his pronouns but he has HUGE BOOBS!!! haha this is so funny, guys!” You may notice that in this example here, she claims to feel bad, but then immediately turns around and makes a joke about it. Is describing transmascs essentially as our chests not sexualization? Not to mention dehumanizing considering they refer to this person as “a he/they,” instead of a transmasc or a nonbinary person or anything else.
But if that’s not enough sexualization for you, or you think that it isn’t valid to be upset over that, you can look under the cuts for the disgusting descriptions of our bodies from some transphobes. From some of those “ladies who just like butch,” since they’re innocent and aren’t oversexualizing us because “nobody oversexualizes ftm trans folks,” as the person in the screenshot said confidently.
I wanna say trigger warning for disgusting oversexualization of trans men (including trans men who are in their teens!) under the cut, but huh… the commenter said that nobody oversexualizes trans men, so this can’t be right. (On a serious note, please do heed the trigger warning before deciding to open the rest of the post.)
#not even mentioning how gay trans men are treated (as only transitioning to be a yaoi boy!!!) or any similar stuff#but I might add on something about that later#inb4 someone is like ‘waaah how can you respond to someone’s comment and also block them???’ idc about transphobes that’s how <3#transphobia#trans#anti transmasculinity#transmisandry#tw transandrophobia#transandrophobia#transgender#trans men#trans man#oppression
