Also I am reading "Clair de Lune" by Sacher-Masoch and it's actually amazing. I would not have expected this level of feminist analysis of him, especially in the subject of marriage and how women are brought up. I guess you can see some signs in the few first dialogues between Wanda and Severin where they discuss why men and women can't be on the same level in a relationship, but in "Clair de Lune" the subject is explored so much more in depth and with such anger and vivid descriptions of resentment, the claustrophobia of marriage and so on. It still is lacking in some parts, women are still described as more tied to nature than men, but it's still a very good read and a pretty progressive (in context) at that.

Okay, I'm getting nowhere with DDG and asking my media pirate friends, so I guess I'll try and ask the Tumblrinas and see what kind of reach this post gets.

I'm trying to watch This Film is Not Yet Rated. (For the uninitiated, it's an film about the MPAA that also contains some real kinky sex because fuck the MPAA). I have found copies of it on Archive.org, Limetorrents, 1337x, and The Pirate Bay—but every single one appears to have been censored after-the-fact by some stuck-up asshole who apparently can't handle seeing a penis. I'm pretty sure this is the case because the censorship bars show up and leave late—like they're out of sync with the video underneath them.

However, considering that they all claim to be a rip of the DVD that was (as far as I'm aware) the only way the film was ever distributed, I'm starting to wonder if it was actually censored in the original version.

So, to any brave, kind soul out there who might happen to own the DVD or have seen the original version of the movie somewhere, were the sex scenes censored with black bars covering most nudity in the original version? If not, is there any potential you could rip the DVD and send me a torrent of it or something?

I could always email Kirby Dick and ask for a copy, but since I don't think the film's technically out of production since there's a DVD available on Amazon (albeit for THIRTY-FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS), I'm not sure if I'll have much luck.

Heavenly Delusion is the most disappointing anime I've ever seen to the end. Like it kept telling us it had something to say about Humanity and Gender and stuff. That its two unrelated plot lines would converge at the end.

And then (spoiler ig)

Our main girl is not a trans man, just his brain was put in his dead sister's body (so he's involuntarily trans? Oof) either way this is a heavy topic and takes up the responsibility to pay it off.

The gay kid in the compound that specifically never taught them about gender? Nope, he was female actually. Gets pregnant with his boyfriend and gives birth and everything. And then the stupid adults clone the baby for badly explained reasons.

The mysterious transhumanist hospital? Just a guy who's decent at making prosthetics. And the mass of mutated flesh he's keeping alive and running sinister experiments on? Oh never mind, that's his wife, and she's turn into a monster when she dies so he's gotta keep her going until protag-kun can kill the monster's soul because that's just a thing he can do I guess.

And the ending. The fucking ending.

This show did not earn the right to tackle such subject matter, and it somehow barely ends up mattering.

This man is raped and tortured on every possible level for 2 days and 3 nights by the person he's spent years trying to reunite with. And then the kid he's supposed to be protecting, shows up chases him away and the bastard fucking dies because he had some sketchy monster shit in his closet. AnD thE adVeNTuRe CoNtInUEs

The sheltered kids escaping was good tho. I wish them success and pray this doesn't get another season. Who knows what they'll ruin next.
