I love how Tuvok, Janeway, and Chakotay all at some point say things that are anti crewmen having sex or pursuing romance. Chakotay at one point seems to suggest completely banning romance between crewmen and Tuvok spends half an episode walking Harry through how not to fall in love. There's an entire episode where Janeway invokes a heretofore never mentioned (or followed) rule in which Starfleet officers can't have sex with aliens. Janeway and Tuvok also both seem to consider holodeck sex/romance to be cheating - Tuvok explicitly refuses to partake in it and Janeway's hallucination of Mark accuses her of being unfaithful because of it. The prude crew ♥

The funniest way to view Janeway/Chakotay/Tuvok in my opinion is that Tuvok and Chakotay have slept together but Janeway never slept with either of them. In this scenario, Tuvok slept with Chakotay in the Maquis to build trust with him. They never had a serious relationship, but Chakotay genuinely liked him. Neither of them ever mention this to each other again after the whole spy reveal, of course. Meanwhile, Janeway and Tuvok have gotten intimately close on multiple occasions but never actually slept together, and Janeway won’t sleep with Chakotay because of Duty. Personally, I think this adds an extra flavor of fun to the tension between them. Does Janeway know they slept together? I can’t imagine either of them admitting that to her, but if she did find out somehow, what would she think?
