So I’ve been unemployed for over a year now. I got laid off from my PR writing job because “the intern and ai can do the same job cheaper” apparently. Anyways, I’m starting to save up for top surgery sometime next year (my consultation is in 2 weeks!!) and the money I get watching my nephews 3 days a week is not enough for that. So, come and sample my wares

1. Tapestry Blankets

I posted this a few days ago and some people seemed interested in the style. I have multiple patterns for the center tapestry picture as well as the boarder patterns. This one took me about 30 hours, so that’s what I’m going to base my price on.

PRICE: $300+materials+shipping

2. Tapestry

There are two different styles of crochet that I can use for these: Tunisian crochet and regular single crochet. The snoopy is tunesian crochet. Ignore how curly he is lol. My partner didn’t want to wait for him to be blocked.

If you have a grid pattern that you’d like, you can get that. Or I have a variety that I can search through. These ones are gonna be priced based on size and which technique.

PRICE:

Small (up to 12 inches width and length)

Tunisian: $45 Regular: $30

Large (13 inches to 24 inches tall width and length)

Tunisian: $100 Regular: $65

3. Stuffed D&D dice

I only have a few that I can picture, but I can make a full set of d and d dice or individual d20s. Colors can be customized as you like, and if you want to help me bust my stash and use the yarn I already have, we can discuss a price reduction.

Full set: $100 d20: $45

I have a few more options that I’ll add when I can get some good pics. And some premade things if anyone is interested. My dms are open if anyone wants to discuss. Another commission for stefan_ponten on Instagram, this time featuring Feirefiz from Arthurian mythology! He’s one of the few non-European knights of the Round Table, is described as having black and white patches like a magpie, and appears mainly in Wolfram’s poetry collection about Percival, given that Feirefiz is Percival’s half-brother. I also ended up dressing him in Tunesian-inspired armour and gave it magpie colours XDD

Lablebi - Tunesian Chickpea soup

Tunisian chickpea soup is a real working class staple — cheap, quick to prepare, filling, and commonly found at inexpensive restaurants. Lablabi is a hot and spicy dish, also quite greasy and heavy, and typically flavored with garlic, cumin, and harissa.

It is traditionally served ladled over chunks of stale crusty bread, drizzled with olive oil, sometimes even with either vinegar or lemon or lime juice, and often garnished with cilantro, parsley, and scallions. Special versions of lablabi include capers, olives, pickled vegetables and tuna, while another variety called hergma is made with cow's hooves.

Update: my hair is really long and not dyed anymore, got new glasses after like 6 years, couple new tattoos, been going outside (wowie), got into tunesian crochet, still a cry baby and that last vid is just proof of how GOOD i would look in a balaclava. Honestly I wish I would have more Arab friends who do not hate me because I am not Muslim (anymore) (and a sex worker and all in all really haram lmao).

Like really. I know so many Arabs who literally hate and stalk me and show my parents my social media accounts and tell them that I do drugs (which I do, but they really can’t know and just gossip) and I left them all behind me but mean sometimes I just miss the feeling of belonging to that culture, that I grew up to, way more than the white culture that I feel like being part of now.

Sometimes when I go to the Iraqi grocery shop or sum, and they treat me like a basic German bitch who wants to be ‘exotic’ it even hurts my pride? Today I got asked if the Harissa I wanted to buy would be the right choice for a girl like me, and I was just like “Akhi, my father fed me this stuff all my life, a great part of my genes is Tunisian.. Salam”

Like.. I don’t even only miss my family but the whole culture. I sometimes really wish that I could take part in the religious life again, but I can’t. No matter how much I respect and sometimes miss it, I just really don’t believe in it (anymore).

There is just a huge part of my Identity.. missing?
