Phantom on one side is currently lives with Red Hood and clearly is very trusted by him. He gets to sees a side to RH that many people aren’t privy to.

But also is a child that Red Hood is probably shielding from the worst stuff. Phantom also has a bit of hero worship for RH as he did save Phantom from GIW and adopt him. So he is quite biased.

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

Ugh... I don't know? I think I was pretty good with dialogues and descriptions of the surroundings to build the atmosphere. But... I guess it's not for me to decide but for the readers?

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I love them! I've only done it with my LOTR fics (with Sindarin) but I really love it. But I really love it when the language is different from the language of the settings? Like, if the story is happening in England and everyone is English, but you have two characters who can speak idk Dutch, let them have a Dutch language in their dialogue. I had a rant post about it not that long ago actually lmao You have to think about your in-universe language

neurodivergent plushie preference results + new survey!! (long text post alert!)

hello my lovely beloved tumblr friends!! I know it has been like 1000 years since I initially posted this survey but I wanted to share some of my findings!! I am working on finalizing the designs for the autism cat and adhd dog and I have one more survey about poses! that I'm doing to nail down the designs!

average favorite plushie size: medium (about 12 inches) with large coming in at a very close second! many people also chose that it depends on the cost of the plushie. favorite plushie materials: this one was so interesting to me so I'll list out all the percentages! since people were able to choose more than one, the percentages dont add up to 100 lol but it'll give you a rough idea!

fuzzy minky - 66.7% (the winner!)

mochi minky - 50.6%

faux rabbit fur - 46.1%

regular minky - 28.4%

a few other findings: general preference is for embroidered facial features rather than plastic, most people lean towards more loosely stuffed rather than firm plushies, and having plastic pellets in the paws or rear is preferred typically over not!

the general response for "do you stim with your plushies" was yes! lots and lots of people mentioned rubbing and petting them, or rubbing the fabric on their face, which are things I do with my plushies as well :3 everyone is unique tho, it was super interesting to read all the responses!

I couldn't include every single plushie that was mentioned, but for some of the ones I could find I made a messy collage of some favorite plushies!! I literally broke into tears reading these responses multiple times, the ways that people love plush just make me really emotional bc they're so important to me too :')

the material people were most likely to have sensory concerns with was crinkle material, with super long acrylic faux fur and felt coming close behind. I'm also glad I'm not alone in the dislike of the texture of sublimation printed mochi minky (that's one of my personal big ones.) plenty of people also mentioned velvet, sherpa, or the cheaper fabrics used on novelty plushies sometimes. fuzzy minky was also the least likely for people to report they had sensory issues with! I'm a data girlie so I really just had a blast getting to look at these results and they'll definitely influence all my plushie creation going forward!! I so super appreciate everyone's responses and taking the time to fill out the survey, seriously! it helps so much! please feel free to share the results and use them in your own making if you are a plushie creator as well!

Hi, hello dears! Since I’m out here trying to bring back things, I’ll give a shot to this one too from last year. The “rules” were to list 9 books you’ve read and loved this year, and boy I’ve got recs to gush about. (somehow I could read 40+ books which is just insane)

So Let Them Burn by Kamilah Cole. ya fantasy, Jamaican-inspired, dragon riders, M/F and F/F focus

God I wanted to yap about this one for so long. This book literally got me back to reading, so naturally it became an instant fav and a life-changing book. And, honestly, gave me hope for some YA since I’m not the audience for those usually. The setting is as breathtaking as fresh within the genre, and the story is a very exciting one with all the dragon riding, the academy and the gods that would loan their power. Not to mention the characters which I surprisingly grown to love very much. (And man the romance part made me kick my feet and squel in excitement at some point). So yeah, give it a try please all. Like, now.

Why We Swim by Bonnie Tsui. non-fic, great audiobook, title says all

The read that rekindled my love for swimming and being in the water. A very interesting little book about incredible lives that were saved by or moved by swimming and the waters, while it also shows light on some beneficial aspects that not everyone might know. It’s a half memoir/biography too, but that part wasn’t as impactful I’d say. However the rest did make a strong impression on me so I’d recommend this to everyone who wants to know whats the swimming and water crazed people’s deal.

Jade City by Fonda Lee epic&urban fantasy, east-asian martial art movies and the godfather vibes, grimdark

And here we come with the big guns. I didn’t know this story is gonna be the second all time fav fantasy series on my list, nor that Fonda’s gonna become the tradpub female writer idol for me, but life’s just that unpredictable. Seriously, this book has me by the throat and I don’t want the grip to soften. All that you can imagine from the bleak, smoke filled gangster life to the flying-jumping double kicks of Michelle Yeoh, it’s in it. The story also very heavily leans onto the political intrigue, and lore aspect so keep that in mind. Oh and the best ever erotica (for my taste personally) is sprinkled around there casually too, so there’s that.

Penance by Eliza Clark litfic, fake-true crime, thriller

I was never a true crime girlie, but I was a litfic one. This book is kind of a satire about how true crime impacts people, especially teenage girls, and what's up with the obsession over it. It also explores where reality and fiction blurrs, and how that can impact lives. A brutal read, in my opinion, and I ate it up in two days smh. Also, I'm going to be real honest with y'all here; I was very confused at the beginning because I never read a fake investigated interview/essay before, so I completely believed it to be true (even tho I found it in the fiction genre). So yes, Eliza Clark is brilliant in that sense, will definitely check out her other books, and will never forget the true tragedy she based the crime in the book. Oh and when she brought up tumblr and tumblrinas in the book... ugh.

Cultish by Amanda Montell. non-fic, great audiobook, title says it all

2024 was the year of litfic and non-fic on my end, or at least I tried and am still trying to get back to them. This one was a very interesting book about cults and how cult leaders use language as a tool to create their communities. Or, well, not just them but everyone. I love learning about how and why we use language as we do, and I also love learning about anything cult related even tho they make my skin crawl. This book luckily did justice on both ends.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. litfic, fake-rockumentary, fleetwood mac/stevie nicks-inspired

Continuing my march on the "reading the books my favourite series and movies are based upon" journey. Daisy Jones is something that was great in book, but excellent on tv. The whole fiasco and the documentary part works better on screen I think, especially after they literally wrote, produced, sang and perfomed songs. Like what the hell. Still listening to the songs cuz some of them are peak 70s. However, the book and the series has the same vibe, so that's why I could enjoy both. (not to mention it inspired me too) What I would really highlight tho, it’s Simon’s story in the series because my god I love her so much. Sometimes even wish it would have been about her than Daisy, lol.

The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang. (ya) historical fantasy, very heavy war stuff, chinese mythology

It's not ya, okay? There are elements that match that, but overall, it's just not. What the book (and the whole series) actually is tho, is a raw portrayal and an essay about the horrors of the Second Sino-Japanese War, and what went down there, coated with a touch fantastical world and some magical/mythical elements. Loved the first book to pieces. This one might be the closest to ya, with all the academy time, the hint of enemies to whatevers, but only up until the half of the book. After that it blurrs and morphs. Still, the whole series is the most educational fantasy I've ever read, and will always keep the first book as a favourite. It's something everyone should read at least once, I think. But never ask me about the last installment.

The Red Palace by June Hur. ya historical fantasy, mystery, romance

Imagine a book that literally reads like a korean period drama. I mean, literally. Funny enough, I needed a second try to get to this book, but after that, oh man it checked all the boxes. It's easy to read, a fun little murder mystery in the palace, and a great experience if you're a kdrama junkie like me. I still think about this book from time to time, and will read all the other works from the author for sure. (fun fact: the royal family stuff are usually historically accurate because that's June Hur's whole sthick, which i love that for her)

We Will Devour The Night by Camilla Andrew. gaslamp fantasy, court intrigue, light vs dark, some impeccable erotica

We all know and love Cammie. And trust to bring an amazing next installement to the The Essence of the Equinox. I loved the book to pieces, because it contained everything I'd crave in a continuation. An interesting and gorgeous expanded world, escalating political intrigue and a ton of great character interactions. While, of course we still got to spend time with our best girl Laila, and best dick Darius.

The two boys sat down next to each other on the pool chairs. Anthony fidgets in his seat as he looked around the pool area for something to take his mind off what just happened. He felt a little embarrassed about the fact that he got caught by Hawk checking out his girlfriend. It wasn’t his fault she was hot.

“So do you know the basic’s?”

“What?”

“Do you know the basic’s? You know how to pick up chicks?”

“Kinda? I mean I haven’t really dated anyone before but I know how to ask someone out.” Anthony made a weird hand motion making Hawk roll his eyes.

Hawk stated off over to the pool, his eyes scanning for his girlfriend who had wondered off with Moon to go swimming. His eyes finally found her on the other end of the pool, swimming and playing tag with Moon,Robby and Miguel. Demetri was on the side of the pool calling foul’s but it ended with his girlfriend and Robby splashing him and then dragging him back into the pool with them. Hawk smirked as he watched her float around and laugh, joking with Moon about something.

“Sooo you clearly like thick girls or you wouldn’t be trying to eye up my girlfriends tits and ass. What do you need help with?”

Anthony huffed as he leaned back on the chair. He coughed into his hand saying “I don’t know man, smaller girls, skinner girls are kinda….I just like bigger girls ok but it’s kinda hard to get close to them? It’s hard to explain.” He scratched at his neck as he looked down at his hands.

Hawk grunted, his mind wondering back to when he first meet his girlfriend. Their first meeting, their first date, first kiss, first smile, first everything. He reminded when he first heard her laugh at one of his snarky comments, when she smiled at a joke he made. He reminded the very first time he kissed her soft lips in the malls food court on their third date. She was something else. He did remember how hard it was trying to break her hard shell and when he did she was so beautiful underneath it. She was proud, happy, spirited and sweet. Everything he liked.

“No I get it, it’s harder, in the dating pool when you like bigger girls. Some girls are reluctant to even talk to you if you show any kind of interest in you. Kinda depending on what kind of personality you like on a girl too. What do you like? Hot heads? Girly girls? Tomboys maybe?”

Anthony looked over at the older boy before looking around in slight embarrassment. Talking to someone in person is different then looking stuff up online or going on forms for advice. He looked around for a minute. The pool was slowly starting to even out and the crowed lessing by the minute. His eyes finally landed on a girl sitting on the side of the pool, dipping her feet in.

He looked her up and down, studying her body language and just looking at her. She had thick thighs that pushed together as she sat and clearly I nice ass from how plush she sat. Her belly rolled from her bend over position and her breasts where snug in her top, pushing against the tight bikini top. Chubby arms folded over her tits, possibly trying to hide them. He wished she wouldn’t. She was talking to another girl in the pool and it seemed that the girl was trying to talk her into getting into the pool. And it was pretty obvious she was not into it.

Hawk noticed when he didn’t get a reply back from the younger boy. He raised a brow and looked over to the boy, his eyes following where Anthony was looking. He smirked as soon as he laid eyes on the girl. He flicked at his sunglasses as he sat up in his chair.

“Ah so you like they shy type, should have guessed with you. Smart mouth going after a shy girl is right up your alley.”

Anthony looked back over at Hawk with a frown on his face, he snorted in annoyance.

“Hey I didn’t mean it like that and you know it. Shy girls are different, kinda hard, but I feel like you like a challenge.”

Hawk wiggled his eyebrows.

“What are you guys talking about?”

The two boys looked up and found Hawk’s girlfriend standing over them. She was dripping wet from the pool, Hawk grabbed for a towel and handed it to her. She bent down and kissed him before throwing the towel over herself and sitting down next to her boyfriend.

“Anthony hear just wanted some advice on dating- it seems we have a lot in common, but it looks like he might have a little crush, love at first sight on someone already.”

His girlfriend cocked her head for a moment before Hawk turned around and pointed at the girl by the pool side.

She followed his gaze and perked up at the sight of the girl. She giggled and turned around slapping at her thighs in excitement.

“Wait Anthony has a crush on Bert’s cousin? That's so cute!”

Both boys almost shot up out if their seats.

“Wait what?! Bert's cousin?!”

Almost on command Bert popped up out of the crowed and walked over to the girl. He patted her on the back which made the girl smile, Bert said something before leaning down and hugging her and giving her a friendly kiss to the head before walking off with some of the other dojo kids. He gave a small wave to her before heading off. As soon as he was gone and out of sight she was back to looking shy and lonely by the pool side.

“How is Bert’s cousin so hot? She's related to Bert of all people.”

Hawk and his girlfriend rolled their eyes at his statement. Hawks girlfriend couldn't help but coo as she struggled into Hawks side. She giggled as Anthony looked at the girl again. A flush started to appear over his face and it wasn't from the heat.

The girl smiled saying “You should go talk to her, I heard she is super sweet. Bert doesn't stop talking about her half of the time since she's moved here. She's like his favorite cousin.”

“Wait moved here? So she's probably transferring to west valley for the upcoming new year?”

“Yep, perfect opportunity to get to know her.”

Anthony looked over her shoulder at Bert’s cousin.

Man she was hot.

“Dude just go for it. Maybe hype her up with the fact you know Bert, throw in some karate flexing, see if you can find out something like her hobbies. Best way to get her out of that shyness for a quick second.”

Anthony nodded at Hawks words before slowly getting up. His hands felt a little clammy as he started to walk away from the two other teens and towards the pool. His eyes held on Bert’s cute cousin.

Hawks girlfriend smiled as she looked back at Hawk.

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

I am a good blorbo mom and I love all my OCs equally.

It's Aisling, she's relaxing and fun to write.

20. Do any of your OCs sing? If they sing, care to share more details (headcanon voice, what kind of songs they like etc)?

Alyra is a bard. She sings only drinking songs in pubs. She'll start the choir and have whole room join. Easy to spill secrets if you shared a shanty. Will not sing on command, if you ask her, she won't even speak. Won't sing under the shower or as pleasure, but she did sing lullabyes to baby Kieran and her own offspring eventually. She has a nice, low voice.

Raina is the one that loves singing the most, but unfortunately she's also tone deaf. If she strikes a note it was by pure chance and mistake, it won't happen again. She puts always a lot of passion into it, but she's terrible. Picture a younger Florence Forster Jenkins (TW for... Singing so horrible it's actually funny, I love FFJ unironically).

Aisling has a nice voice and likes to sing, will most often be found humming as she works, and even put words together to sing her own (whimsical, think "In the golden afternoon" from Alice in Wonderland) songs. She's extremely shy, tho, she sings in public only it it's a group song and she can involve other people in it. Ask her to sing solo in front of a person and she'll run in the opposite direction instead.

Niamh I think has a nice voice and is the one that will actually show off and seek proper singing lessons. In a modern AU, she'll apply to lyrical singing classes, and will be a nice soprano.

29. Which one of your OCs would go investigate an abandoned house at night without telling anyone they’re going?

Garrett and Niamh, most definitely.

Garrett will say that "What's the worse that can happen, I'm used to demons and I can talk to them". Not in Kirkwall, because just as Lilian, Kirkwall usually means a shitton of demons he can't handle by himself, or bandits.

Niamh will go just to show that she can. Also it means there's a Spirit in distress and she can calm them down, so why shouldn't she help? That poor spirit must be so upsed, better go and fix it. *Aisling disapproves*

Priscilla would go if she gets paid for it, she doesn't believe in ghosts and after Hezenkoss? Eh, it's all downhill, can't get any spookier than that.

31. Pick one OC of yours and explain what their tumblr blog would be like (what they reblog, layout, anything really)

Mh, the two that would have a tumblr blog are Aisling and Priscilla, let's focus on the latter.

Priscilla would have an extremely curated blog. It's all in pinks and creams with a touch of turquoise, very very girly but elegant. A cursive elegant font uses sparsely for titles, neat links to her other profiles (she has an Instagram and is very active). As for the content: it's aesthetics, all in the same colour range (she loves pink!), a lot of fashion design and fashion photography, all high end and very classy. And the occasional original post showing the nails she did to her friends, some hairdo she has on or made people (Bellara is a favourite model, even if her face is rarely shown she's referred to as "the bestie💖"). Some selfie of her and the group here and there. Poetry and aforism and musics, all by women, resources on indie artists in the music and fashion field. And the occasional informative post against fast-fashion, capsule wardrobes, tutorials on sewing and embroidery and recognizing different types of fabrics.

She'll be very active, i think ahahah.

43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess

Mh, I try to go for "Stuff I'd like to explore or learn how to draw". Like: Radha has an undercut becuase I liked the idea of an androgynous character. I do like contrasts when creating a character, and I do design them thinking of the personality as well, and I colour-code them all.

Example: I wanted a warrior for Veilguard, I didn't have any and I decided to try. To add a little contrast and interest, I decided that Priscilla would have been very "girly" and pink, and definitely a high femme... Who can also shield bash you out of existence. I made her buff because she needs some muscle to support that big shield and armour, but chose the same hairstyle as Evka (before knowing Evka's designer had my same idea) to have some more girlyness in an otherwise full armour, I put her some make up and enhanced the pink with lipstick when the game didn't give me the option of changing the colour to the armours (buuuuh). She does change hairstyle at a certain point, it was fun.

(I have a lot of Priscilla feels, sorry ahahahahah)

I do tend to design finer traits, out of being very self-conscious about my own nose that's on the bigger side (I hated it as a teen. I'm growing fonder of it, but it's a work in progress). xD

Also: I love expressive people and drawing expressions, so I have quite a hard time in drawing aloof, more stoic characters.

loved your Tyla and Billie readings! They were exactly how I picture the views on them, especially the Korean industry, Billie is highly loved by young Koreans and I love how you mentioned the expensiveness of what she wears cause sadly its something the society sees a lot, but overall she’s really cool. With Tyla I got the same vibes, it was insane how quickly the Korean industry used her as an inspiration for their group’s comebacks, she’s lovable and is pretty popular there but yeah they know its profitable, love the love she’s receiving tho, she deserves it and has a strong aura.

what’s interesting is that they love Tyla but seem to dislike Sabrina’s style, I know Tyla is not that explicit but she has this very hot sexy vibe on her as well so I thought the Korean industry/idols wouldn’t tell that there is a huge difference between them and they’d have the same opinions of them, good opinions I mean. It’s sad that Sabrina is getting hate, but well someday she’ll get the respect she deserves

Tylas dances may be sexy and all but, they’re very modest and are executed in a fun and groovy way. You know with the rise of amapiano and South African dance, South Koreans LOVEEE twerking and seeing hips move, which is why they always in awe when they see Ms Tyla! Hence why we have Smart, that Kiss of Life song… I forgot the name, NWJNS always talking about Tyla and watching her M/V’s and performances, K/J-Idols participating in Tylas dance challenges. They genuinely enjoy her art and music, but it’s always the dances because once again, the groove, aura and enjoyment you get and looking/jamming to Tyla.

Now for Sabrina… their energies were a hard no! Yes they may see her as hot and all but… the concept and execution is just too explicit for them. Remember… in the reading I did say there was a lot of conservative energy and all, because they really don’t agree with her art and musical approach. I mean look at the Juno positions, the freaky lyrics and etc. it’s just a hard no for them.

It’s not like all groups disapprove of her, there are a few that I’ve seen who speak highly of her. I can only think of my NWJNS girlies since they’re the only group I see on my tl lol!

I made a vid complication since tumblr is also stingy with posting vids, and I have vids of both Tyla and Sabrina. You can tell the difference with performance and the concept.

My Ana tips:

1. I look at tumblr while eating every meal: it helps me to reign myself in from eating so much and helps me keep up and commit to Ana

2. I say my weight out loud and count down before having a snack to see if I’m still hungry/if it’s still worth it to eat after

3. I regularly scroll through meanspø, it helps to coach and shame me into not eating

4. I make sure I have water at every meal (you can still get things like no cal flavored water or lacroix to be healthy while still getting full)

5. I make sure to load my plate with vegetables, not because I truly like them or want to eat them, but because I know I eat on instinct and for entertainment and it’s better to snack on greens than unhealthy food

6. I write down my reasons for wanting to be skinnier which enhances my motivation to keep going

7. I don’t fast (no hate to those who do) but it can damage your metabolism and can do harm to your organs and other bodily functions

8. I measure myself to truly measure my progress (I still use a scale tho)

9. I wear an Ana bracelet to be an identifier for other Ana girlies and to stop myself from eating

10. Pretend that I am Bella hadid or other model and act like how I think they would in order to make weight loss habits more fun like a game

Sexuality Headcanon: He's always given off Pansexual vibes for me.

Gender Headcanon: Trans man Starlo all the way!

A ship I have with said character: Staroba has pretty much always been one of my top 5 favorite UTY ships and that remains. I always have a bit of a soft spot for childhood friend romances, and the idea of Starlo and Ceroba understanding eachother and finally admitting their feelings for one another is just...mwah! Chef's kiss! Sometimes I self-insert myself in an OT3 with them, but I won't go there.

A BROTP I have with said character: I really love his dynamic with the Feisty Four. With their banter and shenanigans, and a pretty realistic falling out/getting back together, too! It's hard to explain, but I just really like Starlo's relationship with his pose.

A NOTP I have with said character: Ho boy, this is gonna piss a lot of people off...I am not a fan of Starlo x Dalv and it's grown stale over time for me. Before you crucify me, just note I am a man who's in a relationship with another man and Corn Yaoi just doesn't do it for me. I can get the appeal, but it just doesn't do it for me. Doesn't help that the ship tends to hold some of Ceroba's most vicious haters. Besides, I always saw Dalv as AroAce, so it clashes with my own headcanon on the guy. I can see the appeal if you like it, but I'm sorry, it just doesn't do it for me. I already removed the pairing from my SequenceShift AU for the reasons above.

A random headcanon: I get he's supposed to be, well...a star, but I like imagining a few reptilian traits on Starlo, mainly things such as a tail with a star on the end of it (give both him and Ceroba tails, dammit!) and scales. To my boyfriend and I, his patterns really reminded us of a desert collared lizard. No biggie if you don't see it the same way tho.

General Opinion over said character: Starlo is probably my second favorite character in the game behind the Roba herself and I really love him...but good fuckin lord, the fandom grossly misinterprets him as a character! Sorry girlies, but that is not just some silly, sexy Cowboy LARPer or whatnot. That is a man with some genuine issues that's driven him into being a reckless jerk, and him coming to terms with that is literally the best part about him! Guess that's the side effect of being a Tumblr Sexyman, ain't it? First Sans and now him. Fandom BS aside tho, he's still a great character.
