reminder that more often than not, it's important to take breaks from writing instead of forcing yourself through it. listen to your body and intuition.

i say this as someone who writes almost every day. sometimes, that isn't sustainable. sometimes, you need to take breaks from your projects because you're tired from working on them. i have to admit that understanding when to stop and take a break is a skill in itself, but with time, you will master it. you've got this. if not today, then tomorrow.

today, you rest. tomorrow, if you feel like writing, great! if not, rest a bit more. you know yourself better than anyone else. so trust yourself to know when to get back into writing. and don't punish yourself for not doing it.

Finally brought my BotW anniversary drawing outside to get some photos in natural lighting, since the original scan's colors ended up a bit off. After that small visit to the wild, it's been safely returned to a place of honor on my LoZ memorabilia shelf. :)

Dropping the flower symbolism here, because I thought way too hard about it:

Left side of drawing - Lupine/Cool Safflina (lust for life, refreshment), Silent Princess (return from extinction, quiet love, freedom, flourishing in the wild)

Center of drawing - Forget-me-not (true love, chivalry, light, remembrance; there are exactly 17 of them :)

Right side of drawing - Dandelion (resilience, youthful joy), Daffodil/Jonquil (self-love, desire for love, rebirth, new beginnings), Hyrule Herb (heartiness)

Border of both drawing and reality - Ivy (endurance, friendship, faithfulness in love, eternal life)

Her 🩵 A headcanon of gear-less look and ninpo presentation. I think she’s a false map turtle, so I gave her a scalloped shell, also to represent Raph. Their shell’s are also a lil’ spiky but in a flexible way. Her plastron is a little bit of a mix but mostly Leo and Raph inspired. I added little line marks just for my own interpretation and to add a little more umph. I think she’s real pretty.

Let me know any of your headcanons regarding personality, what you think her ninpo power would be focused on and/or her weapon of choice.
