Hey, do YOU want to play a no-stakes oneshot where your party are all staff working at the Essek Thelyss estate, and the biggest problem you have to face is getting some mail?
Well boy do I have a zip file for you!
Long story short, this is a game I played with some friends, and because it was a lot of fun and I already made it all anyway, I’ve decided to slap it into a PDF and make it available for others!
It’sdownloadable for free at the link below on my Patreon.
https://www.patreon.com/posts/dnd-5e-adventure-82496022
Check it out! And hey, if you like it and think I should do more stuff like this.... tell me maybe! Because this was fun to put together.

Village Tavern [25x40] [2 floors]
Dear friends,
New map! It's never enough taverns, inns, and places to calm your belly down, wash the dust from the long road, and hear a rumor or two! I wanted to make the tavern in the context of a larger village so you could place an assassin or two on the roofs, waiting for happy hour to end! Patreon

Nym - Stalward: City of Steel
Exactly 10 years ago today, I finished what I consider my first proper city-map, called Northgate. I remember back then it took me an entire month to draw it, and I never wanted to do it again because I found it so incredibly tiresome to make then.
A few months ago this year, I wanted to refresh that map and fix it up a bit. This led to me eventually deciding to remake the entire thing altogether, because I know that remakes are very -in- these days.
Not only did I remake the entire map with more details and improve upon it based on older feedback for the map, I rewrote the city's history, and I repurposed it completely to fit the new narrative of my Nym setting. While the general layout is still the same as the old map, Stalward is an entirely re-imagined city set in a new region from its predecessor.
Also, more importantly, in the process of remaking my Stalward map, it led me to create what I refer to as a "Map Game", which is what I've been working on obsessively over the last few months.
More info about this can be learned over at my newly set up Patreon!

More art from my Sector Samarkand space feudalism setting! On the pivotal planet of Shah-5, the city of Arg Arevand sits over a stable access point to hoards of old-tech salvage. Please ignore the flooded district, the noble house of Aronshad are Very Sorry about that.
Hopefully this is going to be used for a game using lightly modified Blades in the Dark!

I'm figuring out drawing ttrpg maps and I started with a few styles of dungeon maps. I wonder if anybody would be interested in small or medium map requests? Just so I can practice stuff and maybe create some brushes along the way instead of trying to make a list of brushes I might need.
Any takers? Any feedback?

A prison wagon, crashed in the woods... what could have happened here?
A map for my DnD game, quite rushed I will admit but not bad for one drawn from scratch the day before!

Essek Thelyss’ Estate - TTRPG Maps by Chekhov
Design and concept belongs to Matthew Mercer and Critical Role
Essek’s Estate has come up in the show, but has never actually been seen except in theatre of mind. I’ve created maps based on Matt’s descriptions and my own interpretations - with a bit of flair!
Feel free to download and use them for non-commercial games! Our group of friends got together and made a party consisting entirely of Essek Thelyss’ staff, who then had to survive the horrors of.... working for the legendary Shadowhand! 👀 It can’t be THAT hard, right? Just a bit of political intrigue....
(Maybe I’ll write up the adventure and publish it someday....)
These maps are free to use for your home games, but may not be distributed for commercial purposes except by the Critical Role company who own the concept.

Desert Village [25x25]
There is something magical about desert sand, arid areas, and exploration under the burning sun. Whether your party is in the gorge, inside the pyramid, or taking a break in the oasis, the desert setting is alluring.

Made a battle map in Inkarnate! I don't DM so I don't really have a use for it, I just wanted to mess around. Very proud of how it turned out!
If you are a DM, feel free to use it, I don't mind. Maybe I'll make more!
Inkarnate lets you clone and edit, so if you do plan on using it but want to tweak some things, feel free to do that.

random table map 7
Mortolis
Tumblr media
It took 7 goes but I finally rolled a 3 on my d4 and got a city map, woo! This was my first time drawing an isometric map, necessitated by rolling so many tall things which I didn't think I could draw properly top-down. Everything I rolled was so spooky that I decided to use halloween colours for the buildings. Check out #random table maps if you wanna see the rest of the series.
Random Table Rolls -
Map Type: city
Terrain: hills
Points of Interest: acidic marina, unsettling statue, ancient rocks, haunted windmill, evil obelisk
