CD 1
Well we are trying again next month. I had a feeling we weren’t pregnant just cause the symptoms were not there but today confirmed it. I had some cramping and I just knew. At least my dr put in two rounds last time so I can get my prescription refilled. Instead of waiting till Monday and praying they have it in stock.

This is what a missed miscarriage looks like. Why do we grieve in private and why do I feel so shameful for speaking about the baby I lost? So many women & couples go through this. We heal by talking about it and feeling COMFORTABLE when we do. I went to my 10 week ultrasound & baby had no cardiac activity, stopped growing close to 7 weeks. I had absolutely no idea anything was wrong. I never got to share my ultrasound pictures. I couldn't even hold the picture when my doctor handed it to me. I had a D&C two days later. I swear to God my world stopped that day. Reach out to people going through pregnancy loss...really reach out.

📢NAC (N-acetyl cysteine) has been scientifically studied to have numerous benefits for PCOS 👉NAC is a powerful antioxidant that works to reduce inflammation since inflammation is a hallmark factor of PCOS 👉It lowers insulin resistance which effects most of the women with PCOS. 👉It helps to lower androgens ( male hormones ), since elevated levels of male hormones can cause symptoms like acne, facial hair, irregular periods, hair loss which aggravates the condition. 👉Regulates menstrual cycle and improves fertility.

3 dpo! Ya know what that means...time for progesterone supplements up the yoohooo 2x a day & to feel a whole shit ton of pregnancy symptoms (since progesterone mimics pregnancy symptoms) every day for the next two weeks 😀😂
Nothing makes you feel more sexy than progesterone making a mess down there, amirite?!
No?...🥴
Yeah you’re right. Progesterone is annoying, but lets be positive! After three early miscarriages, progesterone is a life saver, literally! 🙏🏼 It’s helped regulate my cycle and giving my body the chance to conceive. So for that, yucky progesterone supplements that make me feel like crap...I thank you. 😌 Hopefully over the new few days, it’s helping a little fertilized egg to nestle into my uterus, snug as a bug, for the next 9 months! 😍🤞🏼

Unless you’ve walked this path...
You really don’t know.
It’s a common (and personal) to ask, “So are you guys trying to have a baby?” or “When are you going to have kids?” or maybe even subtle hints about how you’ve been married “for a while” and it’s time to have kids.
Tumblr media
This conversation can go in two ways. Fertility is such a private matter, that most people won’t say they’re having difficulty conceiving. Or what I’ve done is actually respond and say, “we’ve been trying, we have some fertility issues.” Then it just becomes this awkward conversation because the person asking wasn’t expecting this answer. Then THEY try to backtrack and say something to make THEMSELVES feel better.
Like, “Oh it’ll happen. Just try to relax.” People never mean anything malicious by comments, but it just becomes an awkward dance... especially when they say “you can always adopt!” as a knee-jerk comment. Little do people know that adoption can cost more than an IVF cycle with the application & legal process.
I don’t think people know that asking such a simple question can be so personal. You never know if you’re asking someone who is having fertility issues or worse— going through a miscarriage or just miscarried.
It also has to be acknowledged that you don’t know the fertility status of women. A woman trying to conceive can be as relaxed and free of stress; but if she has underlying issues such as PCOS, endometriosis, diminished ovarian reserve... relaxing isn’t going to get her pregnant.
I am the biggest advocate for family planning and birth control. But it has to be said that being on hormonal birth control can mask a lot of underlying issues women have and don’t know until they start trying to conceive. You just won’t know until you get there.

I saw a little golden retriever puppy being walked today. Then someone else with a huge yellow lab Walked up to them & the yellow lab wagged and wagged and crouched down on the floor so that it could be closer to the puppy and I almost cried because I want a baby so much.

I happened to be looking through some old photos the other day from shortly before we started trying to conceive and my husband commented on how big my smile was back then and how happy I looked. Looking at the photos more closely I had to agree. I do look really happy in those photos. Not a care in the world.
Obviously I still smile and have happy times now but if I look at photos of myself from the past two years it’s like there’s something slightly different, my smile doesn’t quite look genuine. It’s something very subtle that no one else would ever notice. But it’s there. I can see it. I can still make my face go through the motions but there’s no light in my eyes.
It was so strange seeing pre-TTC me and I felt so sad for my husband. What must it feel like to know that your person is so sad all of the time and there’s nothing you can do to fix it?
So, I would like to find my smile again. I want my life to be an adventure where I can feel all the feelings and experience whatever wonderful things come my way without feeling like it’s all a massive consolation prize for not having a family. I don’t know how to do this or where to start but I’d like to try...for my person .

Hi, friends! Just a PSA to block @/poirotfanatic because they’re going through the TTC tag commenting irrelevant and potentially triggering comments on TTC/infertility blogs. We’ll reblog a few examples for you, but just thought we’d try to save some pain!

Repost from @ttc_ourlittlepeanut using - 🅗🅞🅟🅔🅕🅤🅛 🅑🅛🅘🅢🅢··· My RE just called and gave me the wonderful news- both of our embryos came back PGS normal! 😭😭 This means that after 2 retrievals, we have 3 little babies waiting to come back into their mama! We need days like this. Beautiful moments where we know our tireless efforts are worth it. And the hope. The belief that I will get to meet these embryos in real life and love them for life. Although, I already do ♥️ Thank you for the endless prayers... My tribe is priceless to me!
