summary: Sasuke has left the village and training has yielded amazing results. Kakashi grows anxious about your future, Sasuke finds a way to communicate, and you've unlocked your Mangekyo sharingan...but how?
warnings: a shit ton of angst you guys, spoilers for Shippuden, major character death, decently long once more
pairings: sasuke x uchiha!fem!reader, slight naruto x uchiha!fem!reader

part one // part three
“No.’ Comes from Kakashi sternly, his hand closing around your wrist quickly. “It’s even more dangerous for you now.” He says, hoping you would understand.
You try to, tilting your head to the side to contemplate the risks. “I’m strong enough to handle them.” You reply after a while, giving Kakashi a crazed look of your own. He knew you harbored the same hate and desire for revenge in your heart, so what had stopped you from joining Sasuke when he had asked?
Naruto cleared his throat. “Kakashi-Sensei! We have to go after him right now! You know I’ll keep Y/N-chan safe!” He protested alongside you to no avail.
“We need to alert the Hokage, she’ll decide how to proceed, you two. I’m sorry, but if you went after him you would be doing the same thing he is.” He said meekly, he was fighting himself. Your arrival had changed everything about him, made him a more careful and thoughtful person. He cared for you deeply, this was known. The danger you faced now put a lump in his throat. Sasuke was unpredictable, and as much as Kakashi had changed, he started out in a very similar place. Kakashi didn’t have anyone dear to him at that time, but he knows if he had known Rin then he would have done anything to keep her safe. Kakashi could only hope Sasuke considered you dear to him. He couldn’t rest his hope on that alone, knowing the risks involved.
Naruto grumbled at Kakashi’s ruling. Kakashi knew what he would have to do. He would have to tell Tsunade and Naruto your true persona when you all briefed her on Sasuke’s desertion. Knowing the truth, Naruto would be motivated to keep you and Sasuke apart for the time being and Tsunade would prevent you from being put in harm's way.
Boy was Kakashi disappointed by the results. He had miscalculated. Naruto was surprised, mouth hanging open at Kakashi’s every word, even if he didn’t quite know who Shisui Uchiha was. It hurt him to think that his friend, a boy he views like his family, would hurt you. He had known you for a short time, but he valued you. You were kind to him, you were very strong, and you always shared your snacks with him while you waited on Kakashi to start training.
But Tsunade heard the implied part of the story, and her thoughts were focused elsewhere. She, unlike Naruto, knew exactly who Shisui Uchiha was, and the way she studied you like a bug under a microscope made you nervous. “Younger sister of Shisui…a secret Uchiha. Kakashi, your daughter is already a top chunin, correct?” She asked, still staring at you.
Kakashi’s heart rate quickened. “Uh, you could say that, sure.”
“And she’s not using her doujutsu or any abilities associated with the sharignan?”
He shifted his weight uncomfortably. He knew what she was really asking. “I’ve helped her harness her abilities in private, but as that would expose her identity, no, she doesn’t use them for her missions and classes.”
Tsunade smirked, very interested in the power you truly held. If Sasuke was led astray, perhaps Naruto could persuade him back on track. Or maybe you could force him. “So she’s already hailed as a Hatake prodigy, thanks to you. Yet if what you tell me is true, she’s only using a percentage of her abilities.”
Kakashi doesn’t know how to respond. He’s not exactly sure what Itachi’s motivations behind all this were, but he does know it wasn’t his choice and that certain people would send assassins after the female Uchiha if she was discovered to be alive. He didn’t like the hungry glint to the Hokage’s eye, he had made the wrong decision. Tsunade would use you and Naruto as weapons.
“She’s supposed to be dead. It would be a great danger–”
“Danger? Is she not stronger than Sasuke?”
“I am.” You declare, knowing that in your heart Kakashi was worried about you, but your worries lay elsewhere.
“She is–Lady Hokage, I’m not concerned about Sasuke, if I’m truthful. There are leaders, people from other nations that fear the Uchiha name, people of our own village.” Kakashi points out, folding his arms over his chest gruffly. He looks at you sadly before he continues. “If word were to get around of a female Uchiha, a second survivor. That leaves the younger brother of Itachi Uchiha alive and the younger sister of Shisui. There is potential for Sasuke and Y/N to rebuild a pureblood powerful line of their clan, and they won’t allow this. She would be under attack.”
Tsunade sighs. She organizes her words in her brain before she says them. “That’s why she’ll need more training. Naruto will leave for training with Jiraiya soon.”
“Are you suggesting I send her to train alongside Naruto?”
“It’s something to consider, but I would also be interested in students. I’ll take both your girls.” She smirked, knowing medical nin is something Kakashi has introduced and taught the basics of, but there was no better teacher than the Tsunade Senju. Plus her chakra seal would increase your power by a large margin.
You look to Kakashi expectantly, hoping he accepts this proposition for you and Sakura.
He sighs, knowing he couldn’t get out of this. “I think that would be wonderful for the two of them. On one condition.”
Tsunade shakes her head, knowing what Kakashi was about to propose. “No can do, Kakashi. She needs to train and go on missions using her true talents. If assassins come, we will deal with them. You can keep her safe, you have this far.” The fifth Hokage stands and folds her arms, leaning against the front of her desk. “Besides, if she never fights with her all, we’ll never know what she can do.” She reaches her hand out and pats your head.
Later that day, Lady Tsunade sends Shikamaru to round up a team to go after Sasuke. He doesn’t ask you to go, probably because the way your fight against him went back during the chunin exams. It still upsets you when Naruto comes to say goodbye, promising Sakura and yourself that he would do whatever it took to bring Sasuke back, and not to worry.
The years pass seemingly slowly. Naruto left the village to train with Master Jiraiya, a lively and funny man. You knew Naruto would have fun, and hopefully develop rapidly.
This left you and Sakura to train with Tsunade. Admittedly, Sakura was better than you, naturally drawn to the art. Don’t misunderstand, you were very talented, but you would much rather spend your time learning more jutsu from Kakashi.
You can’t deny how helpful the chakra control has been, though. You earned your seal, able to use it for your jutsu and not consume any power. This impresses Kakashi every time he sees you do it, mentally proud that he has taught you to be more powerful than him. You were brilliant, he thought. You already exerted amazing chakra control before, but Tsunade’s training has made you a well rounded threat.
He loves you, he realized this when Sasuke left the village. You see, he had known for a while that he cared for you, he thought it was similar to the way he cared for the members of his team. He would do anything to get Sasuke back, to protect Sakura, or to make Naruto feel encouraged. Anything that wouldn’t require him to leave you too long, of course. For you, there was truly nothing he wouldn’t do, and he wonders how he could feel so powerfully for a child that isn’t his own.
“Check this out!” You call out, dissipating yourself. Kakashi can’t see you anywhere, a puff of smoke clouding the air. He pushes his headband up and scans the area, no sign of your chakra. He becomes worried instantly, the issues since your reveal as an Uchiha seemingly endless. Had another assassin come, jumping you at the perfect time?
His troublesome thoughts are interrupted by a swarm of leaves swirling around in the wind and pooling at his feet. He realizes a second later, as you start reanimating in front of him. You smile, a girl three years older, a girl proud of what she’s learned seeking his approval.
You make it easy to give it, the jutsu powerful and sneaky. Most times, you would be too quick and unsuspecting that it would be hard to catch that it was a leaf substitution jutsu at all. “Nice work Y/N. Keep practicing and you’ll get faster.” He nods, a smile of relief cloaked beneath his mask. “It’s a nice ode to Shisui’s flicker.”
You nod, still beaming. “It worked on Shikamaru!” You share animatedly. Shikamaru was always your test subject before you showed Kakashi a new move, his wits being top of the line. Your rule of thumb was if he figured it out, it wasn’t ready. “I have another, if you want to see!”
He leaned against a nearby tree, arms lazily folded across his chest. “Let's see.”
You smirk. Instantly, your sharingan sings to life, all three tomoes swimming to their rightful positions before your eyes even open again. “Plant style: lifeless limb!” You call, weaving the corresponding sign. The tree Kakashi leaned against started to move, the branches growing to wrap his body in their clutches. Kakashi jumps out of the way, looking at you to read your next move. You lock eyes for a moment and continue weaving signs, incorporating some fire and some wind style into your barrage, but only the minor stuff. You wouldn’t want to hurt him too badly after all, he hadn’t realized he was in a genjutsu just yet.
This was the one you were most proud of. This delayed sense genjutsu makes the opponent see your movements 20 seconds later, giving you plenty of time to get in the finishing blow. For the purpose of showing Kakashi, you just used your extra time to get up in his face and make a silly pose.
When he realizes what’s happened, you’re standing in front of him, making a goofy face with the assistance of some of your fingers to give you a pig nose. He chuckles, it’s genuine and warm. He’s overwhelmed with pride, that genjutsu enough to make your name feared, if it wasn’t already. He gives you a fond smile, resting his hand on your head. Yes you had grown in power, but not much in height. “That’s amazing! You sure have made me proud.”
You didn’t realize how hearing those words would make you feel. You begin to tear up. If it wasn’t for Kakashi, you didn’t know where you would be. Would you even be a fraction of this talented? Loved? Supported? You crush him in a hug. You two had an amazing bond, but were both horribly awkward. Neither of you ever knew the proper protocol for interaction or physical affection. He wasn’t your father, but he absolutely was your Dad. Life was short, you would know. Losing everyone you care about will put things in perspective in that regard. Kakashi has been the only constant in a life full of variables, and for that, you love him. “Thanks, Dad.”
His eyes widened, surprised by the force of your hug and then the words that followed. He only places his hand on the back of your head, the other returning your hug.He looked down at you, your hair pushed back by the same purple headband he gave you at six. He was moved by that, for it was no accident. You had let it slip before, but always turned red and apologized profusely after. This time, it was carefully chosen, and it almost meant more now that you were nearly grown. You recognized everything he had done and continues to do, and you wanted to thank him for all of it, not just today’s training. The other jounin often asked if he felt like he lost the ability to have his own real family, or if he felt like he didn’t get to live a full life. He always answered honestly. ‘No, she is my own family, I just didn’t have to deal with a crying baby.’ and ‘I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.’
He takes the time to carefully craft his own reply. After all he realized the answer to his earlier question: it was him, his influence is how you tame your rage and why you stayed in the village. “Always, my girl.”
You hum, relinquishing him from your hug. “I’m going to meditate, then I’ll be home.” You say, neither of you keen to sit in emotion.
He nods, taking a deep breath. “Alright, I’ll leave you to it then. I’ve got to meet with Tsuande later, so I may not be back for dinner. Don’t wait up.”
It’s your turn to nod, letting him walk away entirely before you turn to address the other wave of chakra you detected while your sharingan was still active.
“You made it.” You say with a deadpan tone. “You’re lucky he didn’t see you.” You add, wondering when the bird got there.
The black bird’s head twitches, talons gripping the lowest branch of the tree closest to you. “I’m not worried about him.” The deep voice said calmly, it had lost its lilt of arrogance.
You sigh and move to sit down, leaning your back against the base of the tree. “I am, and you claim to worry about me. So by association…”
“I worry about you because you could be stronger, he’s holding you back.” The voice says from the mouth of the crow.
You chuckle. “Any stronger and you wouldn’t stand a chance at beating me.” You declare, shaking your head from his earlier comments. “Kakashi means a lot to me, so be nice. He was your sensei.” You add, trying to imbue some respect.
He scoffs. “That’s why I would win. I didn’t have anyone to cuddle me through my nightmares.” He spits, and you know he doesn’t mean it the way it sounds.
“I know, I wish you had.” You say sadly, staring into Sasuke’s sharingan. His crow cocks it head toward you. “I mean something to you, that’s why you send this crow, is it not?”
Silence reigns for some time. “You’re my only competition. I like to keep close tabs on you.” The bird hops down from the branch, landing conveniently on your thigh. Now you have to look slightly down at the creature of chakra.
This causes you to smile, you try to hide it behind your hand, but from the way the crow’s eyes narrow you can tell he’s already seen it. Sasuke quickly cleared up any concern about being a threat to you, sending this crow for the first time just two weeks after he left. “Yeah, you like to spend your days chatting with the enemy?”
He groans. “It’s not exactly that.”
“I know. It’s you worrying about me.” You correct, lovingly stroking the bird above the beak. “Or is it a coincidence that you started visiting me again when the first assassin came?”
Again, the crow just tilts its head side to side for a few seconds. “Idiot Kakashi for telling that moron of a woman!”
You bite your lip, knowing when to pick your battles. “I’m glad I get to be myself now, in any event.” You say cheerfully, adjusting your headband carefully, before reaching down for your shinobi headband tied around your thigh. “It means I get to go on missions and fight with my full power. It feels good.”
“Imagine how free you would feel with me.” He hummed, the crow spreading its wings but unmoving. “Your training is finished, Y/N. Face it. I’m almost finished myself. My offer stands, my dear, I can still come get you when it’s time for revenge.”
You bite your lip. You would be lying if you said you hadn’t thought about it. You missed him horribly, despite how things went the last time you spoke in person. You had been communicating like this for three years, and it only brought you closer and reminded you both of a simpler time. You still want revenge on Itachi. Of course you do. He killed your brother and entire clan, forcing you into a life consumed with fear and guilt. As grateful as you are for Kakashi, you would have much preferred your brother and true parents.
Kakashi. That’s the reason you hadn’t left already, along with your other friends. You see the way Sasuke’s departure has tortured them, and you don’t know if you’re capable of doing the same. Maybe he was right, the day he left. In most ways, you’re so powerful. In this way, you are weak.
“I’ll think about it.”
“Don’t tell me you’re worried about leaving Kakashi?”
“He’s the only family I know!” You defend, irritated by the complexity of the emotions squeezing down on your heart. “Of course I don’t wanna hurt him by leaving! I miss you, it feels horrible to miss someone this bad. But Sasuke..your path, I’m worried about what you may become. It’s only natural to feel the way you do–”
“Shut up.”
You furrow your brows, prepared to keep going.
“You either miss me, or you don’t.” Sasuke states plainly.
“Sasuke…”You pause, gathering your thoughts. You feel the way his eye scans over you, like he was worried you would lie. “You are all I have left. I’ll join you…for a time, and if you promise me something.”
His bird leaned in, anxious to hear your conditions.
“It’s just you and me. We don’t work with anyone evil. We can work to be pardoned that way.” You reasoned. Part of you knew he wouldn’t agree to it, part of you hoped he would. Despite the disappointment that Kakashi would still face, you ached to see him again. You knew Kakashi would eventually understand, he would forgive you.
More silence followed. “I’ll think about it.” He finally said, parroting your earlier words through his crow. You hum in response, absentmindedly reaching for your hair to play with. “If Tsunade revealed your true identity, why are you still coloring your hair?” He asks, hoping to change the subject to something more palatable. However frustrated you made him, he does care for you. He struggled to admit this for a time. He would see the color green in the oak trees around him and the quaint ponds he passed on his journey, and he would think of your tricycle and the way your childhood giggle sounded. He remembered the emotional whirlpool from the night of the massacre: the relief of seeing you alive, the fear that you would still be killed, the sadness as Itachi confirmed that he was to blame for everything wrong with your life, the agony as his brother suggested he earn a Mangekyo from killing you, the grief as he watched Itachi cart you away. He remembers the relief he felt, seeing your face again during chunin exams. He remembers letting Naruto and Sakura close to him in hopes they would earn him Mangekyo someday. He loves you, in his own warped way. He doesn’t know exactly what that entails, just that he could never harm you or allow anyone else to.
“I like the way it looks, the colors make me feel part of both clans.” You reply with the truth as always. You were ever honest, and he valued that part of you too. “Plus, it still throws off the occasional assassin.” You chuckle softly.
He groans again. He also likes the way it looks, you are impossibly beautiful. Sasuke was no slouch with women, as you remember from adolescence. Yet no girl compared, they didn’t glow like you did. No one could possibly understand him the way you did either, he didn’t have to watch his words around you. He didn’t have to wonder who you were loyal to, despite his annoyance with your fondness for your adoptive father. He can’t exactly compliment your appearance, so he decides on, “That was so stupid. She put a target on your back.”
“She wanted me to fight with my full ability.” You argue, trying to put it in perspective.
“By declaring to the world that the Last Uchiha Princess is in the Leaf? Moronic.” He huffs, very dissatisfied with the attempts on your life. “You would be safer with me too.”
You arch your brow, a small blush creeping its way up your neck. “Last Uchiha Princess huh? I kinda like the sound of that.”
Your neck catches a sudden chill and you power up your eyes, scanning for the reason. Sasuke’s crow flies back to his original position on a tree branch, wondering what came next. It always made him nervous to visit you like this for this reason. If this was an assassin, he wouldn’t have time to get to you. The leaves rustle,, it gets closer before a tall figure emerges from the treeline.
“Y/N-chan! Sakura told me you were here!” His raspy voice calls as you get to your feet. Your mouth drops open, Naruto’s appearance a total surprise.
“Naruto-kun? I didn’t know you were coming back today!” You giggle, closing the short distance to give him a hug. He holds his arms open for you with a blush on his features. Sasuke wants to throw up.
“Yeah I kinda wanted to surprise everyone! Your hair looks great by the way, you look pretty great.” He says smoothly, pinching a few strands of your hair in his fingers.
“Oh–well, thank you…” You tuck your cheek to your shoulder, embarrassed that Sasuke was listening to all this. “You’ve gotten so tall! I trust Jiraiya-sama taught you a lot?”
The blond nods eagerly. “Oh yeah, koibito! I’m back to keep you safe and get Sasuke back!” He says, features coming together determinedly, an arm slung around your shoulders. The crow caws in protest, making you chuckle.
Koibito? Why would Naruto call her that after so many years apart? Surely he didn’t feel like she was that close to him, Sasuke wonders angrily to himself. Maybe Naruto had noticed how beautiful you were the whole time and wasn’t afraid to make it known.
“Who says I need anyone to protect me?” You ask, arching a brow at him, but it applied to Sasuke as well. “I’ve been training this whole time too, I’m a powerful kunoichi!”
Naruto smirks, looking at you with a renewed sense of determination.”Wanna bet? I’ll take you right now!”
You tilt your head to the side, sorry Sasuke. You can’t turn this one down, you wanted to see how much he had grown and if you were strong enough to keep up.
Sasuke watched as his two closest comrades sparred, every action being countered accurately. Sasuke was impressed with your speed and tenacity, the way you used your talents was much different than him. You were aggressive, but it was fun. Naruto was on the defensive for quite some time, not able to fool your sharingan with shadow clones. Sasuke didn’t care for it much when the fight went to the ground, his rival hovering over your body. He would peck his eyes out if he could.
But it was just the opening you needed, activating your delayed sense and leaf substitution consecutively. Naruto fell abruptly when your body turned to leaves beneath him. He springs back to his feet, searching for where you would reappear. But you rematerialize right behind him as if you had been there the entire time. You turn and smirk at Sasuke, pointing a kunai to Naruto’s back.
When Naruto feels the kunai, he gasps. He hold his hands up, “You got me! But what the hell was that?”
You giggle. If you giggle at Naruto one more time, he may just go ahead and attack the leaf before he kills Itachi. “You just haven’t faced my sharingan abilities! It was genjutsu.”
“And you punch harder than Sakura! You’re amazing, Y/N-chan.”
“Thank you Naruto, your fighting has certainly come along. I’m sure Kakashi will be excited to see your progress.” You smile softly.
As if you had reminded him, he jumps slightly. “Oh yeah, I gotta go see Granny Tsunade! Maybe Kakashi-Sensei will be there! See you later Y/N-chan!”
You wave goodbye to the boy, turning back to Sasuke’s dissatisfied crow. “Oh don’t look at me like that, mister. I’m the Last Uchiha Princess after all!”
You’re not sure if crows can roll their eyes, but maybe Sasuke’s chakra beast can. It certainly looks like it anyway. “You two basically made out in front of me.”
“It’s nowhere near like that, don’t be jealous.” You pout, fixing the purple headband once more. It strikes Sasuke then that you wear it as a reminder of him. It almost made him forget your taunts.
“I don’t even know what it feels like to be jealous, and I certainly wouldn’t get jealous over you.” He asserts, his voice corrupted with annoyance. You can tell he’s lying.
“Oh good, so I guess now's a good time to tell you I can’t make tomorrow’s session.”
“What? Why?”
“My date with Shikamaru.” You tease, throwing out the first name you can think of.
“You would choose that bag of slime over me?” He growls, disgusted by the idea of you in the hands of anyone else. No one could ever understand you like he does.
“You’ve never asked me on a date.” You giggle, knowing just how to press his buttons.
“I’ll take you on a date when I see you again.” He huffs, shutting down your giggling fit. He was satisfied with the blush on your cheeks and the way your lips parted with surprise. He knew just how to shut you up.
A few months later, you walk into the forests to ‘train’ as per usual. You expect his crow to be there waiting for you, but it isn’t. You search for it with your sharingan, refusing to believe Sasuke would stand you up. You hoped he was alright, nerves getting the better of you as you slid your back down the trunk of your meeting tree. The ground stops your momentum when you sit. You resign yourself to wait, just hoping he would show up to ease your fear if nothing else.
Within the next hour, his crow materializes on your knee. “You’re late.” You smile softly, reaching out your finger to pet the bird. You wonder if Sasuke can feel the touches, and what it feels like for him.
The air is different, you realize. He’s not clinging to his only happy emotion right now, he’s consumed with grief and darkness. “What happened?”
“Itachi is dead.” He announces, but it clearly brought him no relief. You can tell there’s more to this story, so you arch your brow and wait for him to continue. “It was all a lie. All of it. He showed me the truth.” He said with a tragic fondness in his voice.
“Wait, a lie? He killed them all, I saw the blood on him.”
“That part is true. The 3rd Hokage and some other pigs I’m going to kill arranged it. Our clan was about to revolt against the Hokage, they had been treating us like an infection. My dad was leading it…they made Itachi kill them all. He told them he would spare me, but he couldn’t expect them to spare you as well.”
“I don’t get it, we were kids, why wouldn’t they allow it?”
Sasuke’s answer reminds you of what Kakashi delicately explained to Tsunade that day your identity was revealed.
“Because the two of us can revive our clan and keep our kekkei genkai strong by not diluting it with other clan blood. Given Itachi and Shisui’s relationship, it’s natural that they expected us to be close and maybe marry later in life and rebuild.”
You open your mouth to express your feelings, but close it quickly when you realize you don’t know exactly how you feel. You suppose the logic makes sense, and if the entire village was at stake you understand why Itachi made the decision he did, to prevent the 4th Great Ninja War. Yet still, is that what Itachi designed? “Well that’s a silly thing to be worried about.”
“Is it? You feel the affinity we have for one another. I think they are right. Itachi placed you with Kakashi for safekeeping, he felt he owed that to Shisui. He never killed him, Shisui also tried to stop this but it didn’t work, Danzo Shimura attacked him and stole his right eye..he gave the other to Itachi and then..”Sasuke pauses, taking a shaky breath through his already shaky tone. He wanted to pick his words carefully, to best comfort you when he could not physically be there. “He threw himself into the river, activating Itachi’s Mangekyo. Itachi loved Shisui, and it hurt him to take the blame for his death. He felt horrible, letting you believe that.”
He watched you take it all in, your eyebrows furrowed together as you analyzed everything that you heard. Finally, you make a choking sob sound, making Sasuke frown. “B-but he wanted you to kill me! For your Mangekyo!”
Sasuke flashes his new eye for you. “Hearing all this, seeing it from his brain…it was enough to awaken.” He explains quickly, watching as tears fall from your eyes. “He needed us to hate him, it made it easier that way..he needed me to grow up alone so that I could pursue this journey of truth. But now, now that I’ve learned the truth I’ll make sure anyone involved in this is dead, and then I’m coming for the leaf!”
You blink several times, soaking in the reality he just presented. Your tears are quiet but ever flowing, and Sasuke wishes more than anything to be there, to hold you when he told you this, to take you with him on his journey. But he couldn’t, you would probably seek Naruto or your teammate Kiba’s comfort, and the picture of that made his stomach feel like he swallowed fire.
“Attack the leaf? Sasuke! If what you said is true, then Itachi did all of this for the leaf!” You say once the latter half of his declaration soaks in. “I’m in the leaf, what, you’re gonna let your emotions take over you again and kill me anyway?”
He grimaces, he shouldn’t have mentioned that part of his plan to you yet. “I could never hurt you, Y/N-chan. You are my koibito.” He asserts, yearning to reach out a hand and wipe away your tears. He always hated to see you cry, and his childhood self would wipe your tears every time.
“Killing my friends would still hurt.” You state, blinking away any trace of emotion.
“I’ll think about it. Y/N-chan, please don’t treat me like this.” He asks quietly, noticing your guarded apprehension that was caused by his promise to destroy your home.
“If this is who you are, then I’m going to treat you like it. Kill those involved and no one else, this village as it stands now didn’t do anything to us.”
“Alright.” He relents, and you know you’ve made some distance with him. He called you koibito earlier, a sign of his true affection for you, a thought that makes you smile.
“Koibito, eh? Sakura-chan will be heartbroken.” You hum innocently, dying to see him again. He can see you, but you had no idea how he had grown since he left.
He chuckles softly. He honestly could not care what Sakura thought, but you’ve always been more thoughtful. “She’ll move on.”
Tsunade tried. She tried to make sure Naruto was ready, she tried to send out her most powerful teams to stop the damage. That’s what you tell yourself as you jump tree-top to tree-top on your way back to Konoha. You had a sinking feeling in your gut when you left for the Sand a week prior, but you didn’t know it would lead to this. You could see the destruction for miles, and all you could hope for is Naruto to make it back soon. You were definitely powerful, but no match for this Akatsuki member alone.
When you make it to the scene, all you can see is injured shinobi and confused, fearful faces. Ahead, you see a massive light, Kakashi’s chidori blade, you thought to yourself as you bounded that way, tuning out the protests of your classmates and higher ranked shinobi.
When you get to him, there’s two bodies. One you can identify as Pain himself, the other looking just as mutilated and powerful. Kakashi fights, by himself, against these two powerful villains. You couldn’t have that. You were smart enough not to call him dad here in the battle scene, knowing it would only make both of you easier targets. You jump into the fight, capitalizing on the element of surprise. You weave signs to grow your plants, but they’re easily crushed by Pain’s pushing jutsu.
“All their eyes are connected, Y/N!” Kakashi calls out, and you return a nod.
A look of recognition flashes across Pain’s face. “Y/N Uchiha…what an honor.” As Pain throws an attack your way, Choji and his father appear to help.
The fight continued, your jutsu being rendered useless, if you could just get one under a genjutsu…but no, they were expecting that, younger sister of Shisui, prodigy of Kakashi.
You find yourself throwing fireballs and wishing Naruto would just show up already. Pain’s Almighty Push traps you and Kakashi under a pile of destroyed building rubble. Kakashi breathlessly begs Choji to get back to Tsunade and report Pain’s abilities, staring at the man with his Sharingan. Pain holds a nail between his fingers, the metal tool gleaming in the sun.
Kakashi tries, kamuing the first nail away. “Y/N..you have to get out of here..I don’t care what you see. Get out of this village. I love you very much, you have given me something I didn’t know I needed, child.” He says, your eyes immediately pooling up with tears. This sounded an awful lot like a goodbye, and there was no part of you that could leave him to die.
“Kakash–” You blink rapidly, the tears dropping in fat pools in the dirt. You could only move one arm, the rest of your body swallowed by dirt and debris, but you reached for him. If this was the last time, you could risk it now. “I love you too, Dad, that’s why you gotta keep going! I know you’re tired, but please!”
“Kakashi of the Sharingan,..Y/N Uchiha. Green Goddess of the Leaf, both of you shall know Pain.”
The nail was flung from his fingers like Kakashi was a magnet. The sound it made when it killed him was the same sound your heart made as it shattered. Kakashi’s head flopped forward, and with the change in chakra evident immediately–you knew he was gone. You scream out, kicking and screaming against the rock caging you in. The sound you make is horrible, even the other group of shinobi hears you wailing. You feel a new wave of chakra, using it to turn on your eyes, you know what you’ve done. Your Mangekyo Sharingan.
Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami was so powerful, you hoped your own ability was somewhat close. In fact, you gamble your life on it. You should be able to enter Pain’s thoughts, and from there, control them so subtly he never knew he was being controlled. You point a finger at him, feeling your control seeping into his mind. You smile, knowing you would avenge Kakashi.
“You will know complete devastation.” You challenge, resigning control of your own body in favor of controlling his. You realize you can’t influence his thoughts, but you can control his movements. You use this ability to dig yourself out, looking through this murderer's eyes, you see your eyes staring back. The rage that you see almost makes you fear yourself. You slide back into your own consciousness as more shinobi show up on the scene, Pain choosing to engage them first.
Naruto will be here soon, you think to yourself, staring at the forest ahead of you. Kakashi was once the only reason you stayed in the village, and he was the very thing begging you to leave. You have officially lost everything. People have schemed against you your entire life, giving you nothing but heartache and an immense appetite to square away your depression. Your feet move themselves into the treeline, numbly trusting that Naruto would save the day.
Or not, you can’t find yourself caring anymore. The Leaf was home because that’s where your people were, but now that they were all dead, friends and teachers alike, you didn’t care what happened to that place.
Your only thoughts were Kakashi, and what he meant to you, his last words. He wants me to go find him, you say to yourself. And then your mind shifted to your newfound ability, this baby kotoamatsukami that could be harnessed, and the only person who could help you do that.
“I’ll be there soon, Sasuke.”

I think it's time to confess to you, dear ones. In fact, I have a secret that I should stop hiding.
I really love Haruno Sakura.
No matter how many times Kishimoto says that he does not know how to write female characters, he is blatantly lying. Konan, Tsunade and Ino are vivid evidence of this. But Sakura! Sakura is already a separate story.
I think its development was the most interesting. At first, it seems to the audience that she is a flat character, the meaning of which is to love Sasuke.
And after that, it seems to everyone that she is a pathetic crybaby who is not able to cope with her feelings and problems without external intervention. She was always hanging on to someone, wasn't she? She's so pathetic...
Dare I disagree. Open your narrowed eyes, dear ones, and carefully read what I will write here so that there is no misunderstanding.
Let's start with her childhood. She was bullied, found a friend in the person of Ino, and then lost her again because of "love", rivalry. She was alone. Do you know that feeling when you communicate with everyone, with everyone on good terms, but still lonely? She had a hard time with her parents. It's not because they're bad or she's bad. No, it just happens.
Sakura was without a family in a class where half were heirs of respected clans. She was smart, but in the end it didn't really matter, because without having secret techniques, she was useless.
People dear to her began to develop while she was standing still. Of course, Sakura wanted to start meaning something too. And she did it! She had achieved incredible heights, but still only shimmered slightly against the background of Naruto and Sasuke.
Sakura is a loser. She tries, she achieves, but still ends up with nothing. She married the man she loved for many years, but still brings up her daughter alone. She became a great doctor, but we, the readers, still consider her "useless."
Doesn't that resonate with you? It's so close to us. Our whole life is a tedious movement forward, into different segments that allow us to reach heights. That's just impossible to move along the ordinate, the application. Just the abscissa. Only one plane.

Can I request a yandere Naruto Sakura and Hinata x baby daughter reader
Where they find the reader in the woods and she has a taild beast inside her and how they take care of her please
[NARUTO UZUMAKI]
⦁ Instant Over-protective Father Syndrome.
⦁ He's been alone his entire life - not knowing what it means to know or have a loved one in his life.
⦁ He found you during one of his questioning isolation moments in the forest of the Land of Fire - wondering if he would ever find something that was his, something that he could love. The sound of crying led him to a small shrine devoted to a Vixen Spirit that was told to protect the forest and all of the creatures that resided inside the woodland walls.
⦁ You were placed in a small basket before the shrine - reaching out for any kind of warmth but the trees blocking the sun made it hard for you to find it. Naruto walked up to you and gathered you in his arms, looking at the familiar marking on your stomach - The Seal of a Jinchuriki.
⦁ You were just like him - a forced jailer that was cast aside and left alone to die - but he wasn't going to let you die.
⦁ He wasn't gonna let you be alone anymore.
⦁ He was going to take care of you and be the best father he could be for you.
⦁ You were taken to the Hokage of the Hidden Leaf and formally adopted by Naruto, given the name [Y/n] Uzumaki. He left you with the Hokage for a moment before he returned home and used Shadow Clones to clean the place up while sending others to purchase all of the baby materials he was going to need, as well as baby books to know what was going on in case of an emergency.
⦁ After everything was put together, Naruto took you home and began your life as [Y/n] Uzumaki.
⦁ As you get, Naruto became more protective of you - always having a clone with you to make sure that everything was okay. He didn't like you going into the village but he couldn't be there for you all the time, even his clones dispelled after a while.
⦁ When you joined the academy, he made sure that everyone knew you were his sibling and anyone mess with you...well...they might not be able to walk again.
[SAKURA HARUNO]
⦁ Sakura would be looking on the mountainside of the Hokage Faces for wildflowers when she heard you crying in the flowers.
⦁ Her 'Motherly' Instinct kicked in and she ran to the source of the sound and found you lying in the grass, kicking and screaming your little soul out. She looked at your figure and saw the familiar seal on your stomach.
⦁ You were a Jinchuriki and you appeared to be cast aside.
⦁ She gathered you in her arms and shushed you until you quieted down and looked at her with your eyes before giggling at her with your toothless smile.
⦁ She held you closer and grabbed her basket before running back to the village - she went to Tsunade's office and asked for the child to be adopted into her family as her daughter.
⦁ Tsunade wasn't sure, but her student's convincing took her heart and she approved the adoption.
⦁ Sakura played the role of the over-protective, loving, doting elder sister and she refused to let anyone who wasn't a member of the clan even go near you, she spent all her free time with you, spent all her money on you even if her parents didn't like it. Nothing was too good for her daughter.
[HINATA HYUGA]
⦁ You were the daughter that Hinata always dreamed of - calm and kind, while silent and strong on the inside from the creature that was sealed inside of you but after she found you in the forest, she instant felt something with you and took you back to the clan.
⦁ She begged her father to let her take care of you and train you into being a strong member of the clan.
⦁ Hiashi didn't care and agreed to her request before brushing her away to tend to Hanabi.
⦁ Hinata took the money that her mother had and purchased all the materials she needed and since she took care of Hanabi at a young age, she knew what she was doing.
⦁ Just like Ko took care of her, Hinata took care of you and she wasn't gonna let anyone hurt you the way her father and her clan hurt her.
⦁ Through her new determination to keep you safe, she became stronger, stronger than Hanabi and her Father, even stronger than the Elders but her power came with over-protective aggression that everyone in the clan began to fear - it was as if she turned from the sheep into a wolf.
⦁ She was always kind to you but aggressive with anyone that tried to talk to you or take you away from her; even her father and blood sister, she didn't like when they tried to get too close to her after years of neglect and emotional abuse.

Why does Karin even know about Sarada needing glasses? She just delivered the baby, but she's keeping tabs and has her exact prescription? That umbilical cord is too suspicious
To Show, Sakura don't know anything about her daughter's health condition whereas Karin, a midwife who delivered the baby does.
To Show that Sakura is not that great of a Doctor as she claim herself to be. A Doctor should know the history of a patient in their fingertip. Sarada is her own daughter at that.
To Show that Sakura pasted herself over Karin, a woman who delivered her baby and cared much enough to keep tabs about her Eye Prescription but Sakura never bothered to let Sarada know about Karin's existence... Another Ungrateful act from Sakura.
Karin might have judged Sakura's desperate behaviour from the way Sakura chased Sasuke even while she was still carrying a baby which led Sakura to deliver her baby in Orochimaru Hideout rather than delivering it in Konoha hospital with the help of Shizune and Tsunade... So, this shows how little care she shows towards her Unborn Baby and Karin might have thought that "Nice Mother".
This Giving Birth in Oro's Hideout thing disgusted many Japanese readers...
One comment said, "How can a woman not know that she was Pregnant?? Even if she don't experience symptoms like Vomitting or Irregular Periods, her belly must have grown bigger. I can't believe Sakura still felt the Itch to chase Sasuke even at that condition".
As for the Umbilical Cord, I heard that it's a Japanese tradition for a mother to keep the Cord... But few Japanese comments said, "In the olden days, the mother gives the Umbilical cord to the midwife as a token of appreciation. These days it's not followed because every children were born in Hospital"
So, I think it's to show that Karin delivered Sakura's baby and furthermore Karin decided to keep tabs about Sarada out of pity for the lack of care Sakura shows towards her own child.
In Short, All of these are an attempt to show that Sakura is a mom in all but a name... But never behaved like one.

Like Father, Like Daughter - Kakashi Hatake x Reader
Summary : The death of your father hits you full force right in the face, and you don’t think you’ll ever be able to feel ok again...Fortunately for you, a certain Copy Ninja is here to try and cheer you up the best he can.
Well, I thought I’d just jump into it. Something completely unrelated to DC/Mavel, a bit of love for Kakashi from the anime “Naruto”...I just really wanted to write this piece with the scarecrow. Tell me if you want more of those (I’ve been binge watching Naruto, One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist particularly lately so...send request about that if you wanna) I’m really REALLY unsure about that one...But hey, I’m posting it anyway. Hope you’ll like it :
You can find my masterlist here : @ella-ravenwood-archives
________________________________________________
-Go fuck yourself you fucking stale baguette !!
...Stale baguette ? Where were you even finding your insults ? How was he suppose to punish you for using bad words when you were being so damn hilarious ? Stale baguette. He had to remember that one.
Jiraiya looked at you tenderly. You. His daughter. A daughter he never even should have had. His daughter than never let anyone walk on her feet. His small little baby girl...who was already sixteen. Where have the years gone ?
He was staring at you, his eyes full of awe and love, as usual, and couldn’t help but think you looked a lot like your mother right now, mad as Hell and ready to kick some ass.
Your mother. Tsunade. The only woman he ever truly loved (though he’d never admit it, as the love was unrequited...or so he thought). Most people were quite...surprised to say the least, when they learned that you were the biological daughter of the two famous sennin, Jiraiya, and Konoha’s fifth Hokage, Tsunade Senju.
You were the result of a very drunken night of passion, the only one they shared...It was Dan’s (your mother “only love”) anniversary of death, and she felt particularly bad. So she went out to drink her sorrow away, and your father went with...The rest is history.
Nine months later, you were there, a surprised to both of them, but one they gladly accepted. They had a lot of flaws, those two, but being bad parents wasn’t one of them.
You lived in Konoha until you were six, until your “Uncle” Orochimaru turned dark, betrayed the village, and your parents’ were too heartbroken to stay. Your life was shared between them. A few months with your dad, a few months with your mom...And you loved it.
Ruffling your hair mischievously, your father lets out a loud laugh and says :
-You’re a terrible flirt. Not as in you do it too often, as in, you’re bad. Like, really bad. Soooooooo bad.
-Yeah I know ! Like father, like daughter right ?
-I don’t think I ever called anyone a “fucking stale baguette” while trying to flirt with them...How did that even come up ?
You shake your head vigorously, you have no idea how you ended up insulting the guy you were flirting with...Was it because he kept making stupid remarks about your boobs ? Or maybe your ass ? You couldn’t even remember, that’s how important to you it was. Yeah, you definitely couldn’t care less.
-No, but remember that time you waited an entire day in the public onsen just to see naked women ?
-...Point taken.
-Aren’t you suppose to scold me for using bad words anyway ?
-...If I buy you your favorite flavored popsicle, will you shut up and not tell anything to your mother ?
-Buy me two and we have a deal.
-Deal.
You nod, and he puts a protective arm around your shoulder (as a reflex, because if he was honest with himself, he knew you didn’t need protection...You were your parents’ daughter, a very powerful kunoichi, bound to even surpass them one day), his giant frame dwarfing your small one...That, you took from your mother.
It was moments like that that you loved the most with your father. Just silly time with your big idiot of a dad. You two had always been close, ever since the moment you were born. He swore, the first time he held you in his arms, that he would never let anything happen to you...He just didn’t plan on leaving you so soon...
*****************
You woke up from this pleasant dream with a start...And wished you could go back to sleep and dream some more about good times you spent with your dad. You wished you could just control your dreams, and see him whenever you wanted when you were asleep...Damn you missed the fool so much.
You would give anything to be sixteen again, to be back those eight years ago, in a random city you forgot the name off, eating two popsicle on a bench near a river, looking at the sun going down, talking with him about anything. He always was a good listener, and the conversations you shared were always the best.
Was. Using the past tense to speak about him tore a whole in your chest.
Your father was dead.
Killed by an ex-student of his, that was now dead..and that you couldn’t blame because you understood his pain. Besides, he amended himself, bringing back to life many people from Konoha (including a certain copy ninja on which you had a massive crush since you were a child).
And you couldn’t help but think it was your fault. Because you weren’t with him. Maybe with your added force, he could have survived...or you could have died instead of him. But he refused for you to come with him.
You think he knew. He knew he wouldn’t come back. It was in the way he said goodbye to you, in the way he bid his farewell to your mother...it was different than usual. He knew he wouldn’t come back...
After a week of his absence (you moved back to Konoha when you were 18, and were so glad your mother became Hokage, like that you could see her often...and your father also came home more often because of it), you felt your heart ripped apart and just knew what happened instantly...
The bond that linked you to him was broken. Your father was dead.
Your mother felt it too, and you fell in her arms, crying for hours...She held you against her heart, and you knew she suffered as much as you. Because you knew since you were a chid that they were both in love with each other, but were too damn proud to ever admit it. Such a shame...Because now, he was gone.
You would never see him again. Talk to him, about anything and everything. Joke with him. Scold him for his inappropriate behaviors. He would never again buy you a popsicle so you wouldn’t tell something bad he did (or made you do) to your mom. You would never hear his laugh again. His hand would never go through your hair, ruffling them lovingly again...Your father was dead.
Lost forever.
You couldn’t sleep anymore, even with the prospect of a possible pleasant dream about a memory with your father, you simply couldn’t sleep.
You checked your alarm clock. 4 am. You had to wake up in two hours to go on a mission...no point in trying to fall back asleep.
You decided to go see your dad. You slipped some close on, and left, your thought unable to detached themselves from the man you lost...
******************
The stone of heroes.
Where the name of everyone who fell in combat was carved in. It was a lot of people. Your father’s name was on it, carved bigger than a lot of the other names...Of course it would be carved bigger. He was awesome.
You sad down on the cold floor in front of it, and caressed the stone lightly.
-I miss you so much dad...
A twig cracking behind you startles you, and as fast as lightning, you turn around, kunai out, ready to fight.
Kakashi. It’s only Kakashi. As your gaze meet his only visible eye, you realize he’s exactly the person you want to see right now...
Kakashi was older than you. Eight years your senior. The fact that you were close from Jiraiya, meant that you became close from Minato as well, the famous Yondaime Hokage...which in consequence, also meant you ended up seeing Kakashi a lot. Not that you minded. At all.
You always had a huge crush on him. How could you not ? He was brilliant, both in combat and intelligence, funny, witty, mysterious, compassionate...He went through a lot. His father’s suicide, his best friends’ death (feeling guilty forever because of it) etc etc...He suffered from a lot of mental pain, and the only thing you wanted to do was to hold him in your arm and tell him everything will be ok. But he only saw you as a little sister.
You were sure of it. After all, eight years was quite a gap, and most of all, he rarely let anyone come close to him ever since Rin died. Especially not relationship was. The man had a lot of flings, one night stands...but an actual relationship ? No. Because he still felt guilty about the fact that he did not return Rin’s feelings. And he couldn’t handle the pain of loosing someone else...he told you himself. You became friends, against his better judgment, hell, best friends, but it never went further...He wouldn’t allow it.
-Hey.
His voice. You always found his deep low voice soothing. He could read something stupid (like one of your father’s awful smutty book) and you’d still think it’s the best thing ever.
-Hey Kakashi-kun...
-You’re up early.
-So are you.
-I didn’t went to bed yet.
-Ah.
There a silence. Not an awkward one, not at all. He approaches you, and you stand up, turning your body to face him. You’re close, but not as close as you with and...you feel guilty. Thinking about that in front of the stone of heroes. How disrespectful.
So you look away from him, turn away from him, making the distance between the two of you bigger and...Was it a hint of disappointment and hurt you saw in his eyes as you were doing so ? No. No more wishful thinking about him seeing you in any other way than a friend. Especially not here, not now.
-How...How are you holding up ?
He asks shyly, unsure of your reaction.
-I’m...alright. It’s...It’s how life goes I guess.
-Doesn’t make things any less painful.
-No, it doesn't right ?
Kakashi always found the right words to make you feel better. Always. Or maybe it was because you liked his voice so much...
-I know how it feels. Believe me (Y/N), I do. If I can do anything for you I...
-No Kakashi, you don’t. You don’t know.
He’s about to retorque something, to tell you his father too died, but you don’t let him speak.
-You don’t, because your case was much worst. You were a child. Whose father...decided to end his own life. Everyone was telling you that your dad was a scumbag...It’s completely different. You suffered much more. My dad died “a hero”, if that means anything...Everyone gave me their condolences and shit like that...While you ? You just suffered way more Kakashi. You shouldn’t feel bad for me.
At your words, you can see conflicted feelings going through his eyes, the only part of his face you could see (the other hidden behind his famous mask). Pain, relief, gratefulness, sadness, love...love ? Uh. Don’t get your hopes high. Love for his father, probably.
He close the gap between you two and...Take you in his arms.
You are stunned. It’s the first time he does that...Well, that’s not really true. There was once, on a mission long ago, where you got hurt pretty badly, where he carried you in his arms all the way to Konohagure. But it was different. He was trying to save your life. While here...His soft voice brings you back to reality :
-It’s not because my pain seems greater that you cannot feel any. It’s not because you think I suffered more that I can’t feel bad for you. Please, stop. It’s not the first time you say something like that. You always put your own suffering away, because you think I had it worst than you and...
-But you had it worst than me.
-Let me finish please (Y/N). Let me finish.
His embrace tighten around you, and because of the height difference, your head buries itself in his chest. You can feel one of his hand caressing your back up and down soothingly...and your heart drop. Not because of the affectionate gesture from the man you loved, but because your father used to do that to you whenever you had a nightmare, or whenever you felt bad...You feel your tears welling up in your eyes, but resist.
-I never saw you cry. Not even when you lost your friends, just like I did. Not even when you got tortured for months by a hostile village that wanted informations on Konoha. Not even when Minato-sensei, whom I know you considered your big brother died. Not even whenever your parents left Konoha, and you stayed behind. Not even in plenty of other occasions that should have take a toll on your mind. You never allow yourself to cry, because you think other people have it worst than you. I heard you that time, telling Naruto nothing in your life compared to his miserable childhood, though plenty of things do. You always think you’re not allowed to be sad...But you’re wrong. You went through a lot too. And even if you didn’t, you’re allowed to feel sorrow. It’s not because people suffered more, than your sufferings mean nothing. I wish you would understand that...Because seeing you swallowing all of your feelings down is killing me slowly. And please, please believe me, because you can’t even imagine how hard it is right now to tell you all of that. I’m not good with words...Never been. But for you, I’ll always make the effort...
What ? What was he saying ? You pull away from his embrace, so you could see his face, but he doesn’t let go off you completely. In the only eye you can see, there is so many different emotions...it makes your heart swell.
-You just lost your father. I know how it feels. So let it go...let it all go...
Kakashi. He always had the right words to make you feel better. People thought he was just a nonchalant guy and all, but he was...Oh he was so much more. He was compassionate, nice, hilarious, passionate, faithful, he had principals that he’d never betray...He was the best.
And as you thought about the fact that you would never see your father again, as everything truly sinked in, his arms around you gave you the opportunity, for the first time in your life, to weep. To truly cry, as you rarely did. Actually, the only time you did was with your mother, when you both felt your dad die...
Here, in your best friend’s arms, in the man you loves’ arms, you finally let go.
You don’t know how long you two stay like that, in each others’ arms. You don’t know for how long you ball your fist in his shirt, wetting it with your tears, your face buried on his chest...Until finally, you calm down.
****************
-Are you feeling better ?
-Yes Kakashi. Thank you.
-It’s ok. Anything for the one I love.
-...Uh ? What did you just say ?
-Anything for the ones I love.
-Oh...
Short silence. Your both sitting in front of the stone of heroes, your head on his shoulder, one of his arm around yours. He breaks the silence :
-I lied.
-Mm ?
-I lied. Just now. I didn’t say for the oneS. I said for the one.
Your heart skip a beat. What ? You find yourself speechless, for the first time in your life. You usually always have a witty or sarcastic answer (you got that from your wonderful mother). His arm around your shoulder twitch a bit, and you can hear his breathing stopping.
-I...I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been so forward. You must think I’m a dirty old man, after all you’re young and...Hum. I’m sorry. I just...I just want you to feel better. God. Sorry I’m such a fool. I...when you’re around it seems I can’t formulate coherent thoughts.
What was he saying ? You were confused. How could it be ? Was he...Was he in love with you ? The loss of his warmth alarm you, and you realize he’s slipping away from you. He’s already on his feet apologizing profusely to you, about to leave...but you’re not about to let him. You raise too.
-Wait ! Don’t be sorry.
-No really, I am. I...I don’t know what got into me I...
-Don’t be sorry, because I want the one I love too feel good too...
-Uh ?
-...I...I always kinda had a crush on you, Kakashi. I guess in recent years, it turned into...more than that.
In an instant, all trace of worry disappear from his face, to be replaced by relief. And something else. Love. Love, for you. Not for his father.
He brush a few fingers on your cheek, awkwardly, and you both just stand there, in front of each other, not really knowing what to do next...You decide to take the first step. Just like your dad would. Like Father, like Daughter...you just hoped that your first step wouldn’t end up being like his : with you being slapped by Kakashi.
Slowly, making sure he can stop you whenever he wants, you raise a slightly shaky hand to his mask...You saw his face once, a long time ago, when you got badly hurt and he did CPR on you, but it was all blurry...Your heart raced at the mere thought of finally seeing what he looked like.
He doesn’t stop you when you slip two fingers inside the mask, and slowly pull it down.
His nose, his mouth, the little beauty mark he has bellow his lower lip...He’s handsomer than you imagined.
He lets you do it. He even lets you take his headband off too, so that you could see his entire face. His eye holding the sharingan is close, and...It’s instinctive. You don’t think. You just do it. You feel the urge to kiss it. His scar.
You go on your tip-toes, because he’s quite taller than you, and, hands on each side of his face, he bends his head slightly, automatically as well.
Your lips on the side of his forehead, where the scar begins, make him shiver. Your second kiss, a bit more down the scar sent his arms to wrap themselves around you. The third time your lips comes in contact with his scar, it’s on his eyes, and he sighs contentedly. The fourth is on his cheek...the fifth dangerously close from his mouth...
He cannot stop himself. His arms are around you and bring you flushed against his body, as his mouth find yours.
The kiss is sweet and full of promises. He understands you, and you get him. It has always been the case.
The kiss is passionate and full of love. If your father could see you right now, he probably wouldn’t say “you’re a bad flirt”, but “Good job my little one, good job...now Hatake, get away from my daughter”. The thought makes you smile in the kiss, and you feel suddenly better than you have in the past month since your dad passed away.
Kakashi always had the right words to make you feel better. And apparently, his tongue wasn’t just good to speak...damn he was a good kisser.
Finally, you pull away from each others, and he utters those three magical words you longed to hear from him :
-I love you (Y/N), and after I kiss you again, I’ll tell you one more time, I’ll tell you how much I’ve loved you for a long time, how I feared youd think I was too old, how I craved your presence, running “accidentally” into you often on your days off, how...how many things. I just love you.
-I love you too Kakashi...So much...
He kisses you again, more eagerly than before if that was possible, and the way his hands caress your body makes you think of something...you blush at the thought, but you have to say it. It would be what you father wanted. Most definitely, damn that man was...well, nothing but awesome.
You pull away from Kakashi, and he groans, trying to catch your mouth with his again, but you speak before he can :
-Oh, which makes me think...In case anything would happen to my father he...He prepared a few things for me to take care of.
-Uh ?
-He...He gave me his notes for his next book. For some reasons, he wanted me to continue his work. To write the next icha-icha paradise. I said yes of course...I wasn’t really expecting him to be gone so soon though...What I mean is, now, with you, I have one more reason to continue his book. To finish it. According to him, I’m quite a decent writer...
Kakashi’s face illuminates, a large smile spreading across his features, and he takes you in his arms again, kissing you a bit roughly. When he pulls away, cupping your cheeks lovingly with his hands, it’s to say :
-I knew you were the one. I just knew it. I love you, (Y/N). Now and forever.
FIN.
PS : It’s shit isn’t it ? Erf. Well I tried. Sorry it’s so long as well. I wanted to write something with Kakashi so bad that it might not be of the best quality...Well. Yeah. I tried. Sorry. As you can see, I was very unsure about that one...mainly cause I usually write about Marvel or DC characters so you know...anyway, THANK YOU FOR READING UNTIL HERE.

Relationship Headcanons with Itachi
This is a short, random headcanon of how the relationship is between Itachi and Tsunade's Daughter! Reader. This is to help give you reader some Itachi fill while I work on part 2 of “Only If…”. I plan on finishing it today and posting it if I have the time. If I don’t post it today, I will have it posted for tomorrow. This is gonna be slightly NSFW, so be warned. It wont go into details but there will be some suggested themes
Like I said this is super short and just a little something because I totally will do little head canons on this idea.
You both have an understanding with each other because Itachi can’t always be around and you can’t always be there for him. So there's this mutual understanding that neither of you can’t see each other all the time. Sometimes you and Itachi will go months without seeing each other
Sometimes when he visits, he brings you gifts that make him think of you. He totally bought you this necklace that can store a person's chakra. So he put some of his in the necklace and told you to wear it so you could be together no matter where you are. You totally found a similar necklace in Konoha, so you bought it for him and infused your own chakra. You gave it to him the next time he visited
When he visits, you both just talk about everything and sip tea while sitting in a field near your little cottage. You both could talk for hours and even begin to sit with each other in silence because just being in each other's presence is enough.
Like I said in my previous work, he only really stays one to two days at a time. But during his stay you allow now one to bother you or visit you for treatment.
One time sakura tried to visit you so you could help with some strength training and Itachi was there. You opened the door and told her no and closed it before she could protest. She totally saw someone on you r couch when she tried you look in through the opened door
LET ME TELL YOU! Itachi will totally lay in your lap while you read and you both will stay like that for hours.
Kisses between you two are always soft and full of love. His lips always taste sweet to you and you can never get enough of it
You both are just really content with each other, and even though you both know your time together is short. You both will make the most of it.
Sometimes he leaves his training clothes, so you wear them to sleep when you get lonely.
when you guys sleep together, you always have your head on his chest and he holds you like you are the most precious thing on the earth.
Sneak Peak for Part two of "Only If..."
“Love, Do you really think I deserve that privilege?”

Ino x Itachi: A Steamy Romantic Comedy
It had been the most surreal moment of her life; naked and sprinting like a madwoman through River Country, pulling on items of clothing as she ran for the hills.
Ino felt that the academy had not adequately prepared her for this situation.

Chapter 1: The Unlikely Encounter
On a beautiful summer morning, Yamanaka Ino could be seen morosely trudging up the steps of the Hokage tower at the speed of a slug. She looked rumpled and dirty, face pale and exuding misery as she reluctantly ascended the stairs and requested a meeting with the Godaime.
The young chuunin was a day late returning from a solo B-rank mission to River Country where a local lord had requested a healer for his daughter. Wanting a break from the gruelling clan training she was undergoing with her dad, Ino had jumped at the chance to get out of the village.
She was sorely regretting everything right now.
“You can go in, Ino-san,” the receptionist told her.
Ino couldn’t even summon up a weak smile for the man as dread bubbled in her stomach. She was so nervous she felt like hurling.
The Godaime was seated and scribbling away at a form as she entered the missions office, Shizune and several other ninja bustling about, scrolls being sorted and placed into appropriate shelves. All in all, it was an ordinary morning in Konoha.
Tsunade glanced up from her paperwork, took one look at Ino, and demanded, “What happened?”
The blonde chuunin tried not to hunch in on herself. “Um, could we please speak privately, Tsunade-sama?”
The older woman’s stare felt like the tip of an arrow, and Ino had to consciously remind herself not to quail beneath her gaze.
“Everyone out,” Tsunade barked, and the shinobi who had been working departed the room casting curious glances as they did. Shizune also left with a worried look at the teen, closing the door behind her with a soft click.
For a long moment Ino simply stood there, trying to find the words. How did she say this in a way that didn’t make her sound like… like the biggest screw-up in history?
The mind reader opened and closed her mouth several times in succession, no sound coming out.
“Yamanaka,” the Godaime said sternly but with subtle worry in her tone, “report.”
Ino dropped her gaze to her feet, deciding to just come out with it and mumbled incoherently.
“Ihadsxwthchihatachi.”
“What?” Tsunade frowned.
Ino looked up, her face pale. “I had sex with Uchiha Itachi,” she whispered.
The words hung heavily in the spacious room as the Hokage tried to comprehend what she had just heard.
The Godaime looked at her blankly. “Is that a supposed to be a joke?” she asked dubiously.
The teenager flung her hands up in the air. “A joke?” she laughed hysterically.
“I had sex with Uchiha Itachi!” Ino wailed, repeating the damning sentence for the third time.
Tsunade’s eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as she realised Ino was a hundred percent, dead serious.
“You had – what!?” she spluttered. “No – why?”
The Yamanaka saw Tsunade’s face harden as she scanned her up and down, obviously assuming the worst. Ino didn’t look all that roughed up and there were no bruises on her, though since she was a medic that didn’t mean much.
It hadn't been anything like what she was imagining, Ino had been an all-too willing participant. She felt herself heat up just thinking about it.
“Tell me everything,” the Hokage demanded.
“Everything?” Ino squeaked, feeling her face turn crimson.
Oh gods.
Uncompromising amber eyes bored into hers.
“Everything.”
She gulped.
Xxx
Three days ago, life had been blessedly normal and Ino left Konoha waving a cheery goodbye to the guards at the gate, taking to the trees as she revelled in the freedom of running through the forests. It was a lovely day and she had made good time to the Land of Rivers, reaching the coast at sunset to an absolutely stunning view of the ocean.
The nobleman’s estate had been expecting her arrival, Ino was shown to her patient and she had healed the girl in hardly any time at all.
“It was a bad case of bronchitis, it probably would have cleared up by itself in a couple of weeks, but I healed her anyway and she was right as rain in an hour. I stayed the night and left the next morning.”
The nobleman and his family had been appreciative and impressed at their daughter’s quick recovery, and Ino had enjoyed a night of excellent food and relaxation in the luxury of her room. Unfortunately, her luck deserted her the next day, since by mid-morning a huge storm had rolled in from the ocean.
It came out of nowhere and Ino had summarily been drenched, left scrambling to find refuge in the unfamiliar Land of Rivers. She had run inland as the wind really picked up, chanced upon a small cave, and decided to wait out the deluge.
Ino stripped her dripping clothes from her body only to discover the storage scrolls in her pack had also gotten wet and the ink had run. With the seals destroyed, her change of clothing and dry firewood was all out of reach, and Ino had miserably wrung water from her garments and hung them up on a wire.
She would have remained there the entire time, nude, wet and shivering, had a chakra signature not blipped into existence at the edge of her range.
“I thought maybe it was a Hidden Valley shinobi or even someone from Suna or Konoha. And I was feeling miserable enough to beg for some clothes off a random stranger, so I henged myself an outfit and cautiously went to greet them.”
The Yamanaka goggled at the sight of a man with black hair plastered to his skull and dark cloak sodden with water. The slashed metal gleamed ominously on his forehead, and red eyes met her own through the downpour.
“He was looking at me a bit strangely, and at the time I was too busy panicking over the fact it was Uchiha freaking Itachi to think deeply about it.”
Ino paused, before continuing miserably: “It was only later that I remembered the sharingan can see through the transformation jutsu, and he had probably been wondering why he was suddenly being accosted by this naked lady in the middle of nowhere.”
Tsunade stared at her the way one would watch a runaway train – mesmerised and utterly appalled.
Having discovered the incoming stranger was Uchiha Itachi, Ino had done as recommended in all bingo books; she had fled on sight straight back to her cave, only for Itachi to appear in the entranceway moments later.
The Yamanaka had made a weird ‘argh-blergh’ sound, then started spewing reasons why he shouldn’t kill her.
They had ranged from pathetic –
“I’m a nobody really, not worth the effort to kill; it’s basically like sharing this cave with an ant-“
- to gruesome –
“-my blood would leave a huge stain, and my corpse would start stinking and the storm could last for days-”
- to self-sabotaging.
“I mean, you could just chuck it out of the cave, or even kill me out there, but – “
Eventually her spiel had wound down when Ino realised she was only digging her grave deeper and shut herself up.
“He had been happy to ignore my rambling and I was like, ‘oh thank the gods, I must not be worthy of his attention.’”
She cringed. “That was when Itachi discovered his own storage seals were busted, and we were both stuck there; soaking wet, no firewood, no spare clothes and with the storm howling like crazy.”
Ino stood frozen in indecision, eyes flickering between the S-ranked missing-nin inside the cave and the hurricane force gale outside. The kunoichi didn’t dare leave the shelter, but she also didn’t want to stay.
When lightning crackled and the crash of a tree falling could be heard nearby, Ino decided that she had been here first, so really, Itachi should be the one to leave.
She wasn’t crazy enough to say this aloud, and instead inched further inside, getting out of the spray and wringing her hair out again.
Ino watched the Uchiha unblinkingly as he took off his infamous Akatsuki cloak and strung it over his own clothesline. Then her eyes blew wide as Itachi began to peel his shirt off, and she turned away with a strangled ‘eep'.
“Itachi warmed the cave a couple times with a small fireball, and it worked for a few seconds before the heat all escaped. We didn’t even have a tarp to string up over the entrance because all our seals were busted and Itachi's cloak wasn't big enough.”
Ino’s teeth were chattering even though she was burning chakra like crazy to keep warm, crouched in a ball and arms wrapped around herself.
“Yamanaka,” Itachi said, and she flinched in shock to hear her name spoken by him. “It would be logical to share body heat until the storm passes.”
“And well, he wasn’t wrong, and sharing body heat was a much better reason for him keeping me alive than any I had come up with, so I agreed.”
The blonde awkwardly sat next to the Uchiha, scooting closer so their arms were barely brushing together. Her teeth chattered louder.
Ino stifled a gasp as warm, calloused hands wrapped around her waist, strong arms lifting her up and Itachi dropped her into his lap. Her back met his chest, and she sunk into his heat even as her mind rebelled at the action. She sat stiffly for several long moments before forcibly relaxing her body into his embrace.
The blonde scooped her wet hair over her shoulder so it hung down her front, not wanting to annoy Itachi if it dripped on him. Of course, that meant her neck was entirely exposed, and the kunoichi supressed a shiver that had nothing to do with the cold when she felt Itachi’s breath on her bare skin.
“I had resolved to be the best heater I could possibly be, doing absolutely nothing to piss Itachi off. That’s… not what happened.”
There was a sharp rock under Ino’s bare butt, and she desperately wanted to get rid of it but didn’t dare make too many movements. She shifted minutely several times, trying to dislodge the stone, before the arms around her waist tightened and Ino suddenly realised that something else was poking her now.
She gulped, the sound heard even over the thunder of the storm.
“You should stop moving.”
His voice rumbled in her ear, deep and husky, and Ino involuntarily clenched her thighs together. Itachi noticed.
“Sorry!” she squeaked. “There’s something poking me, I mean – there’s a rock digging into me!”
If it was possible to die from embarrassment, Ino would have dropped dead right there and then.
“So I tossed the stone away, but then there was nothing to distract me from the other thing poking me, and it was - I mean, the sexual tension was stifling.”
Unfettered truth spewed from her lips, uncensored and - from the look on Tsunade’s horrified face - entirely unwanted.
Ino reached down and grabbed the offending rock, tossing it away where it clattered against the stone walls. In her haste, she sat directly on top of the other hard object beneath her, and the man behind her let out a quiet grunt and jerked, causing Ino to gasp.
She wasn’t sure who had initiated it, or if they had both lost all sense and reason at the same time, but in mere moments Ino was wet in an entirely different way, squirming in his hold as Itachi ground into her.
“Then one thing led to another, and it was from zero to a hundred in a split second.” Ino was rambling now, but she just couldn’t stop.
Ino couldn’t stop her hips from bucking wildly, meeting Itachi’s thrusts as he took her roughly against the wall. The Uchiha panted in her ear and Ino arched her spine to take him deeper, both gasping as he thrust in again and she choked down on a cry of pleasure –
“I don’t know what came over us, we were like anima – I mean-” the teen bit her tongue, flushing furiously.
Ino didn’t dare lift her gaze from the floorboards.
“It was intense,” she finished, before barrelling relentlessly onwards. The sooner she covered everything, the sooner this would end.
“But the second time was a lot more...thorough. He – uh, took his time with me, you know?”
Itachi’s handsome face hovered over her, flushed pink with exertion as he gazed down at Ino beneath the long lashes that lined his eyes. Her heart beat a staccato rhythm in her chest, and she watched him in turn as his jaw clenched when he sheathed himself between her legs. His lean, sculpted muscles and rock-hard abs rippled as he withdrew, only to slide torturously slowly back in.
“Anyway -” Ino coughed, cherry-red and unable to meet Tsunade’s heavy, disbelieving stare, “I fell asleep afterwards, and like, I know that was beyond stupid, but we – he – I mean, I couldn’t stay awake after that.”
She snuck a cringing glance at Tsunade’s face, which told the Yamanaka that yes, her words had been correctly interpreted as Itachi fucking Ino into unconsciousness. That was exactly what had happened, and gods it had been amazing –
Ino stamped down on her thoughts.
“Right,” the Hokage said, her voice strained. She cleared her throat. “Go on.”
“So, um, it was beyond awkward when I woke up; he was sitting there looking at me, and I just knew he was debating whether to kill me or not. Then for some reason I remembered that the sharingan memorises everything it sees, and he’d had it on the whole time, so us having sex was totally imprinted into his mind forever.”
Ino was panicking. She was spread out, nude and dishevelled, Uchiha Itachi right beside to her, equally as naked. His sharingan eyes were staring at her, and oh gods, he would remember this for the rest of his life.
“And that reminded me I had been drenched by the storm and probably looked a mess, and I really didn’t want that to be the last memory anyone would have of me, you know?”
Her nonsensical rambling was like a gushing dam, pouring out without anything to stop it.
Was this how she died? Would someone find her thoroughly debauched corpse and think the worst had happened to her? She didn’t want to go like this!
“So – there I was, butt naked in a cave with Uchiha Itachi and about to die – and, well, I think I just went crazy!” Ino flapped her hands hysterically. “I thought that since I had already screwed up – in the most literal way imaginable – then I might as well go out with a bang.”
She paused, looking abashed.
“So I fucked him again.”
One of the ANBU in the rafters choked. Tsunade gaped at her.
Ino belatedly realised her unintentional double entendre – she really did go out with a ‘bang’ – and decided to hurry things along before anyone else caught on and thought she wasn’t taking this seriously.
“Plus, I was hoping he wouldn’t kill me if he was in a good mood, so, uh it was the only logical option really.”
The Yamanaka’s eyes skittered away again, and she focused on the stacks of paper on the desk.
“What did Itachi do?” the Senju asked, her voice ripe with morbid fascination as if she really did and didn't want to know.
“Ah,” the teenager shuffled her feet in embarrassment, “well, he was kinda surprised when I just crawled into his lap-”
The ANBU on the left made a strangled noise.
“-and started grinding against him-”
The other guard to the right released a high-pitched squeak that Ino ordinarily would have found funny.
“-but he wasn’t complaining. The opposite, more like.”
The blonde rolled her hips and felt the Uchiha harden beneath her as she continued to rub herself against him. She carded fingers through his hair, running her nails gently across his scalp and causing him to shiver.
Ino kissed him, kissed Itachi like she had never kissed anyone before; with a passion so intense she felt like she would be set ablaze.
If this was to be her last moments, Ino wanted them to be as bold and brilliant as she herself was. She wanted Itachi to know how alive she was, how much spirit she contained within her small body. How much he would be depriving the world of if he got rid of her.
When Ino finally pulled back, panting and gasping for air, her eyes fluttered open to meet a heated, molten gaze that scorched her to her bones.
Silence lay heavy in the room as Tsunade searched within herself for sanity, and Ino tried for composure. Neither fully succeeded, and the older blonde squeezed her eyes shut while pinching the bridge of her nose.
“Right, so after you two had sex – again – how did you get away?”
The chuunin nervously smoothed the wrinkles of her skirt.
“By then the storm had passed so we could leave the cave. And I’m still thinking I really didn’t want to die, but what could I do to convince him to let me go?
“I wasn’t going to give him any information of course, or any Yamanaka techniques, and I didn’t know if he cared about any of that even if I waswilling to give it to him in the first place. But I did know one thing he wanted, so I –“
Ino covered her steaming face with both hands, her next words coming out as a muffled squeak.
“I gave him a blowjob like my life depended on it.”
It took her a long time to muster up the courage to peak through the gaps between her fingers. Tsunade’s jaw was hanging open unattractively, and Ino pinched her fingers closed again, squeezing her eyes shut in abject mortification.
“So – you what? You jacked him off and he just let you go!?” Tsunade demanded incredulously.
Oh my god, did she have to put it like that?
“Um, well,” the Yamanaka had reached a level of red not even Hinata had achieved before.
“He was in that floaty place after sex; you know, the languid, comfortable feeling where you don’t really want to do anything but lie there.”
She traced kisses down sweat-slicked skin, across the dense muscles of his chest and abs, all of which tensed as Ino took him in her mouth. For as long as she lived, Ino would never forget the quiet, desperate sound she’d wrung from him the first time she licked his member.
As well as the expression of satisfied, indolent pleasure Itachi had worn afterwards, gazing at her with those gorgeous, half-lidded crimson eyes.
Ino shifted uncomfortably, trying not to squeeze her thighs together.
“And – well, I don’t mean to brag or anything, but it was really good sex. Like, mind-blowingly good. And I’ve never given anyone a blowjob before, but Itachi really seemed to like it.”
The ANBU weren't even attempting to be stealthy anymore; one sounded like he'd expired on the spot, and the other - who Ino was sure was Genma - started hacking like he'd just swallowed his senbon.
The Yamanaka looked determinedly at Tsunade, ignoring their audience as she doggedly forged on and concluded the most humiliating mission debrief she’d ever participated in.
“So before the endorphins faded and he came back to his senses, I told him the sex had been great, grabbed my clothes, then legged it straight back to Konoha.”
Ino snatched up her purple clothing and mesh in one hand, her other snagging her sandals. Itachi watched from the cave floor, naked as the day he was born and lounging like a satisfied cat. Except he was far too deadly to be a cat, more like a panther.
The teen swallowed her saliva as she took in the sight of him, all rumpled and looking thoroughly tumbled, his body a prime example of shinobi fitness. He was all sinewy muscle and languid grace, and the intensity of his stare made Ino very aware she was still naked.
“So, this was – amazing,” Ino blurted, face instantly flaming at her own honesty. “But, um, I’ve got to go. So, uh, see you around?”
Abandoning her mission pack and ruined storage scrolls, she edged towards the cave exit. Itachi remained where he lay, and Ino decided to book it out of there before he changed his mind.
Running faster than she ever had before, Ino mentally screamed at herself:
‘See you around!?’
It had been the most surreal moment of her life; naked and sprinting like a madwoman through River Country, pulling on items of clothing as she ran for the hills.
Ino felt that the academy had not adequately prepared her for this situation.
The Hokage’s office was silent for a full minute as the Godaime simply stared at her in dumbstruck, disbelieving awe. The young kunoichi stood there, awaiting Tsunade’s inevitable eruption, recrimination, or even a blistering punch.
Instead, Tsunade snorted.
Then she chuckled, before throwing her head back and dissolving into rib-cracking howls of laughter.
Ino stared at her with wide eyes.
The legendary kunoichi laughed so hard and for such a long time that Ino was surprised someone hadn’t busted down the door to find out what on earth was going on.
Tsunade was reduced to wheezing before her mirth faded, and just looking back at Ino’s deer-in-the-headlights face set her off again. The Hokage took several long moments to compose herself before clearing her throat. Ino braced for the worst.
“Are you sure it was Uchiha Itachi?”
The Yamanaka blinked. That - was not what she had been expecting.
“Um… I’m pretty sure. Can a shinobi hold a henge up during an orgasm?”
Tsunade smirked. “I can.”
Ino blushed. “Right, so it could have been someone else,” she said doubtfully.
Why would anyone want to impersonate Uchiha Itachi when in the middle of nowhere? And then proceed to have sex with a stranger while doing so?
“I saw his scars though, there was one from an old injury, I think he must have gotten it as a kid. Did Itachi ever break his left ankle?”
Tsunade snapped her fingers.
“Sparrow. Get me Uchiha’s file.”
The two kunoichi (plus the other poor ANBU trapped with them in the room) awkwardly waited for him to return. Well, Ino shuffled and twitched uncomfortably while Tsunade broke out into random giggles every few minutes, setting the younger kunoichi’s face ablaze each time.
When Sparrow returned – and that was definitely Genma, oh gods – Ino was about ready to throw in the towel and just run home to never emerge again.
The Hokage flipped through the thick folder to the pale pink sheets of paper that designated them as hospital reports, and she scanned it with practiced ease. Ino awaited her verdict, feeling like a criminal on trial before an inscrutable judge.
“Well, what do you know,” Tsunade mused, leaning back in her chair and tapping at a line. “Broke his left ankle when he was eight, good catch Yamanaka.”
The likelihood of someone with that knowledge and chakra control good enough to hold a henge during sex, who then bothered to transform into Itachi only to put himself in the situation where Ino would see – it was so unlikely it was impossible.
Which of course meant…
Tsunade looked far too amused when she glanced back up.
“Congratulations Ino. You really did fuck Uchiha Itachi. Multiple times, apparently.”
…what does one say to that? Thank you?
The sheer enormity of what she had done – of who she had done – suddenly washed over her. The sense of surrealness she’d been operating under vanished, leaving horrible awareness in its wake.
Oh my god, she'd had filthy, amazing sex with Uchiha Itachi in a cave.
Ino sunk to the floor as her knees gave out.
“I’m so dead!” she wailed, clutching at her blonde hair.
Her mentor in medical ninjutsu just laughed unsympathetically.
“Actually, you’re alive. You’re totally fucked, of course, but thanks to that you’re alive.”
Ino glared at her, tears swimming in her eyes.
“Calm down, Ino,” Tsunade said soothingly as she got up from her desk and made her way to the chuunin. She easily lifted Ino up off the floor and plopped her on the couch to the side of the office.
“The odds of you bumping into Itachi again are so astronomically low, it might as well be zero. And you’re a sensor; you can just run away if you feel his chakra nearby.”
“Right,” Ino nodded, trying to push away her emotional response to think logically. “Right, that makes sense.”
There was no way Itachi would bother to hunt her down just because they’d had sex, Ino hadn’t wronged him in any way (in fact, she would even say it was the opposite), and he was probably far too busy doing whatever it was S-class missing-nin in Akatsuki did. You know, mercenary work, hunting jinchuuriki, being evil and terrifying and sexy –
Ino wrenched her thoughts back on topic.
Tsunade was right, the chances of them having anything to do with one another again were practically non-existent.
Her shoulders sagged like the weight of the world had been lifted, and Ino slumped into the sofa.
“Besides,” the Yamanaka glanced up to see an absolutely wicked look grace the older kunoichi’s face. “You can always distract him again if you need to.”
Tsunade leered at her and Ino groaned in humiliation as she buried her face in her arms. This – this was the woman who had been on a team with Jiraiya.
The only comfort this thought gave her was that Tsunade had probably heard a lot worse from her old teammate. If Ino had outdone even the infamous Toad Sage in the most compromising screw-up in history (most compromising screw), then there was truly no hope for her.
Still, Ino barely registered the embarrassment because she was too busy feeling relieved the Hokage wasn’t angry with her. Though to be fair, she had come out loads better than the last Konoha-nin who'd tangled with Uchiha Itachi.
“Write up two mission reports and hand the real one straight to me. The other should have you in the cave alone, file that through the usual channels. It doesn’t need to be said that your… encounter with Itachi is classified.”
“Okay,” Ino agreed, “you got it Tsunade-sama.”
Feeling a hundred times better than she had before her debriefing and utterly grateful it was over, the teen stood to leave. She just wanted a bubble bath, her bed, and to not think about anything for the next twelve hours.
“And Ino –“
The Yamanaka turned back, blinking at the sudden cheery tone.
“Don’t forget to include all the juicy details.” Tsunade waggled her eyebrows scandalously. “Intel will need them.”
Comprehension dawned on Ino in that moment; the horrified realisation that she would have to transcribe every single interaction she’d shared with Itachi onto paper.
Every desperate touch, every filthy sound, every lustful stare – for the Hokage, the other higher-ups, and the most trusted officers in the Intelligence Division to read. For them to comb over, analyse and discuss in order to update Itachi’s psyche profile.
A strangled noise escaped her throat, and Ino fled from the office with the sound of Tsunade’s roaring laughter ringing in her ears.
Notes:
Yes, this is the classic ‘caught in a cave and has to share body heat’ scenario that I caved (hah!) and wrote. This is the low budget scene all authors use when they can’t think up a good reason for two opposing characters to come together in a non-violent setting. Why didn’t Ino or Itachi use waterproof bags for their storage scrolls, one might ask? That’s because we don’t allow such piddling things like logic to impede the creative process, though you can bet they’ve learned their lesson now.

Regrets of Tomorrow
Part 3 - clear suspicions
Kakashi hatake x reader
Masterlist
An: I figured I post the next part for you all to enjoy since it is ready 🥰
Kakashi could feel it deep into his bones.. There were something about this child, something that he needed to investigate further. First he had reacted too the hair, just like himself and his father had hair like that.. But at the same time Y/N was the daughter of Jirayia aswell, soo it could be explained. The age he was given couldn't match, unless it was a few months you left out for him.. It was clear that this keitaro kid was yours.. The same eyes that you had, no doubt about that one.. It didn’t make much sence as he paced back and forth in his office.
Kakashi had asked the favour, knowing if she went to the hospital as he had suggested.. He would have a oppertunity to look deeper into it.. He had known you for years, and he knew you wouldn't let yourself get pregnant without having some kind of attachment.. You had been very stubborn about things like that, ever since you understood you were a results of a drunken night between your own parents. Wait.. Did Tsunade know? Well she knew about the kid, since she got the place for them.. But what more did she know? Shizune? Well the plushie makes sence.. And what about master Jirayia?
With a loud huff Kakashi sat down and stared blankly on the mountains of paper on his desk. It had been on his mind for some time.. Ever since the time Pain attacked the village and how it ended.. And more soo after the war. When he ended it 4 years ago.. It was for selfish reasions completely... Offcourse he had given the exuse of not loving you anymore, it was easy to say, but just a part of it. Kakashi leaned his head on his hand as he thought about the rumours he had heard this far. Everything from slut calling, to him being the father.. Tsunade had set her up, adoption, soo far he had heard it all as people had been whispering around the village.
It had been a few days since he met you both in the woods.. And he knew that tomorrow he would most likely see both at the wedding aswell. "Lord sixth! Did you look over the arrangements for tomorrow?" Shizune walked into the office as usual, still not letting the title go. "Drop the Lord.." He muttered as the frown were visable even throught his mask. "and yes, everything for tomorrow is set and ready... Guardlists and all.. Soo now we just have to wait for the marriage to be set" He sat up in the chair, as he looked at his assistant. "Shizune, there is something I would like to ask..."
Better try to see how honest she could be, if she lied he would know. "Anything I can help with, lord sixth?... I mean, kakashi" She corrected herself this time atleast. "Y/N's kid.. How old is he? And who knew about the situation?" When Shizune tensed a bit, he knew for sure she knew about it before you moved back. "Well, All I know is that he is 3 years or soo.. And Tsunade found out a few months after Y/N left.. Hence why she wasen't called back for the war... I think Jirayia was able to meet with them before he passed.. And Tsunade went to be with them after the retirement.. But other than that I don't know much" She rambled almost nervously, indicating she knows more than she is saying.
"why are you wondering?" Shizune had a nervous chuckle as her hands folded in front of her. "I was just suprised seeing she was back, and with a child. I met them in the woods the other day.. Soo I figured I ask, nothing more" Thank god he was good at having his own emotions under controll, at least in a situation like this. "Oh, I see.. I think she will be better off here in the village.. Who knows, maybe she can actually enjoy the motherhood more" This caught his attention as he watched the woman shrug. "Yeah, even after the war the roads are not safe.. At least with how well known she is... If she needs work, she can have her old position back as a shinobi, her situation will be taken into account offcourse.." If you decided to pull the retirement, then he would have more access to the files too.
"Well, It wouldn't hurt to ask her about it.. But do you think thats a good idea?" Kakashi nodded at her, knowing what he said could sound off. "I do.. There are alot of things that would have to be done in the village.. And it is peaceful enough that it can be done to help single parents also.. We have a few shinobis like that" Soo far 3 of them to be exact, it is a way to help and still include them. "True, we made that program for the smaller missions around here when people started to move into the village..."
"It was just a thought, even Kurenai turned it down when she was asked..." Kakashi got up and looked out of the window. "for now we should get some rest.... Tomorrow will be a huge day afterall" He gave Shizune a wave, before walking out of the office. He had things to figure out and at the same time it would be a secret for now.
------------
At the morning of the wedding it wasen't easy to get keitaro to stay put for long. He was too exited, soo getting the clothes on was a challange. At least he would let you put it on in the end, even having a matching headband to get the hair away from his eyes. For some reasion the child refused to let you cut it, he rather having the hair in his eyes than cutting it.
You both arrived on time, even with all the fuzz that had been going on this morning. The gift were placed with the rest as he held your hand when you walked to the yard. "mom, will it be someone to play with here?" Keitaro smiled as he stayed close, too shy to get too close to anyone else. "Well, It might be" You knew Kurenai had a daughter who was a bit younger than Keitaro.. Soo maybe they could play if she was here.. But at the same time people had been acting wierd after you came back..
You stayed a bit in the background, watching the cermony go down. It was easier, at least since you were not used to this amount of crowds anymore.. They both looked beautiful.. Whoever did Hinatas hair and makeup really deserved a applauce.. They were able to catch the young womans beauty. "They look wonderful togheter don't they?" Kurenai walked up next to you and smiled. You looked over and nodded, they looked wonderful indeed. "Soo, who is this little guy?" She gestured thowards Keitaro next to you, before he hid a bit in your skirt. "This is my son, Keitaro. I see you have your daughter with you?" the little girl were just like Keitaro, hiding behind her mother as she looked between you.
It didn't take long for the kids to start playing, while you took the chance to catch up with Kurenai. You felt for them.. Here both of them had lost the person closest to them, and being forced into this situation of being a single parent.. And you, well it was more of a choice on your end. You had atleast the chance to take the step and seek out the father.. If your nervousness didn't stop you.. It made you feel quilty most of the time, at least after returning home to the village. "you don't think they would run off too far?" You asked Kurenai, seeing the kids running around playing happily. "I belive they will stay around.. I am more concerned they will tacle Akamaru.. Mirai loves akamaru"
"Oh, don't let Keitaro see him.. He loves animals, dogs is his favourite" If he saw akamaru it would really be hard to get him to go back home. "Really? Then we might have two small humans plotting against us later" Kurenai just laughed it away, knowing how it could end up.. And somehow you knew too.. "Well, they seem to be busy talking to lord sixth" You followed Kurenai's gaze as you noticed the nervous look on the man's face. Noticing your son bringing out the puppy eyes let you know what was going on. "Well, they didn't find Akamaru.. But my son found another option"
"wait.. He knows about Kakashi's ninkens?"
"Yup.. We met him and Pakkun in the woods the other day.. He was nice to summon some of them for Keitaro to play with.. And by my son's expression.. It must be about the ninkens" You explained as natural as possible, at least when you heard how suprised Kurenai sounded. "soo, you two are talking?" - "It would be rude to not talk with him.. And after all this time I don't really care about the other stuff.." You shrugged, knowing why she would ask something like that.
"oh, yeah.. Thats understandable...I just don't know what I am more suprised by, you actually talking to him, or him actually letting your son play with his ninkens." It made you giggle, because it really didn’t make much sence for you either. "exuse me ladies.. I think theese two belongs to you?" Kakashi had walked over, one kid holding on to each hand with a grin. "Look at that, they became a team" Kurenai had to joke a bit as she saw how tired the man seemed to be. "Team indeed.. They won't stop asking for the ninkens.." Kakashi muttered a bit, not used to this kind of attention from children. "Seems like yours is gonna be the little leader between our kids then"
"Well, this can be intresting down the line" You smiled and took Keitaro's hand, letting him let go of Kakashi, as Kurenai took Mirai. "amaru!" Mirai Quickly grabbed Keitaro's hand and dragged him along thowards the bigger white dog on the other side of the yard. "Well, now it is more 50/50, Kurenai" Kakashi just looked between you two as he tried to understand how calm and collected you both could be in this situation. "I will go over, just in case" She exused herself as she went to make sure they didn't push akamaru too much.
"Did they bug you too much?" You had to ask, just incase it annoyed the Ninja. "no, I am just not used to it.. I don't know how too say no without getting that pout" You raised your brow when kakashi sighed, almost suprised how two small kids could toy with the man. "I thought you had no problems saying no to kids.. Oh, and the pout, don't worry.. 9 out of 10 it is a threat soo they can get their way" At least when it came too keitaro, he always had that tiny cute pout when he got told no or had to listen. "The kids I used to deal with were almost teens..that was hard enough.... But on another note, it seems like you are both settling in allright?" He crossed his arms over his chest as he seemed more relaxed now that the kids weren't glued to him.
"yes, we are.. I think in a month it would be like I never left at all" And it was also worth it seeing Keitaro making friends too.. Because soo far he hasen't had one. "Not to talk work in a wedding, but could you come by the office next week.. Shizune told me you accepted the offer this morning" damn, you had almost forgot about that one allready. "Yes, the offer seemed to be a good fit.. As long as it is in the village and all.. I see what I can do" Would be better to have a job rather than stay home most of the time, at least if keitaro started at the academy and all... Maybe even work up the courage to have the talk you needed to have aswell.. It was allready whisperes about it, soo why not just come clean and let him decide from there? Wouldn't need to tell keitaro just yet..

If Kishimoto really wants people to believe that Sasuke loves Sakura and that they have such a good marriage then he's doing a piss poor job at it. You don't see people arguing if Minato loved Kushina or not or if Dan loved Tsunade or not. You don't. The fact that there are so many people arguing whether Sasuke loves Sakura or not, and many people believing he doesn't is just proof that Kishimoto failed somewhere or else there wouldn't be this much controversy surrounding this matter. It's either Kishimoto implying Sasuke does not love her, either Kishimoto intending to portray his idea of a good realtionship/loving husband through SS and failing miserably. Sasuke did not look happy when he saw Sakura in Gaiden first time after 10 years of absence. He couldn't even bother to send a letter to her and Sarada to let them know he was alright and thinking about them during this period. And no, please don't come at me with that bullshit excuse that he didn't keep in contact because he wanted to keep the secrecy of his mission and did not want any private information to leak and that's why he was only keeping in contact with the Hokage or whatever. No one says that if he ever bothered to write them he had to go into details about his mission. He could've just told them he's alright, that he misses them and hopes they're fine and that would've been great too and wouldn't have compromised his mission in any way. The man has space time abilities for fuck's sake. He could've easily teleported to see them and then go back to his business. In my opinion Kishimoto wrote SS in this ambiguous way to appease both the SS haters and the SS shippers. He knew SS fans were going to be happy with whatever he threw at them even if it was the absolute bottom of the barrel and he knew the antis were gonna have a good time using Gaiden to further tear the ship apart. This man is either terrible at writing romance either a huge troll who enjoys pitying his readers against each other. Or maybe both. And I assure you, I don't even hate SS, despite what I have written so far, nor do I ship something else. And Sasuke is also my favorite character. I'm indifferent to this pairing and maybe that's why I can have a more objective opinion on it than its shippers or its haters since I'm not biased due to personal feelings of either distaste or love for it. SS can be seen in both a good and a bad light, but to be honest the balance is more inclined towards the bad light.
This is just more of the stuff that I've heard plenty of times before. I'll firstly preface this by saying that I'm very highly critical of Gaiden because it included pointless drama for the sake of pointless drama. It's execution was horrendous to say the least, but I'll always still appreciate the message that Kishi was trying to relay. However, I will always take issue with those who defend the notion that Sasuke doesn't love Sakura. Hence, the following.
Minato wasn't drowning in hatred due to a supernatural phenomenon which cause him to push away love in favour of the darkness. Dan wasn't made to undertake a preposterously long mission while intending to keep everything about it confidential. Why on earth do people think they can just compare any random relationships to SS's and go "well look at this couple! Why couldn't SS have been more like them?". Well here's your answer - Because their situations were nothing alike. But why do people constantly believe that those relationships are the only models for what a loving relationship can be? The struggles that Sasuke and Sakura faced during Gaiden were not due to issues with each other, but rather, they were shown facing hurdles which they overcame together. They were perfectly happy with each other, and not once did their dedication to one another ever falter during Sasuke's mission. Just because the couple faced hard times does not mean their bond is any weaker. On the contrary, the fact they they faced those hard times together and came out of them just as strong if not stronger than before, is a testament to the strength of the relationship.
You wanna know what I don't see? I don't see people questioning Neji and Hinata's relationship despite Neji trying to kill her during the Chuunin Exams. I don't see people questioning Hiashi's feelings towards Hinata despite essentially disowning her because he deemed her to be a failure. I don't see people questioning Gaara being the Kazekage despite him previously being feared as a killing machine who slaughtered many innocent people, by the very same villagers who now respect him as their leader. I don't see people questioning why Kabuto was trusted to become the head of the Orphanage and taking care of the future of the village, despite being a notorious war criminal. No, but of course people will question SS right? Despite them just being another example of the same theme.
It's either Kishimoto implying Sasuke does not love her, either Kishimoto intending to portray his idea of a good relationship/loving husband through SS and failing miserably.
Kishi flat out said, that the love between the Uchiha family is the real deal. He's not implying anything, and if he truly failed at depicting this, then SS wouldn't have consistently proven to be the most popular canonised pairing for years following the manga's ending.
Sasuke did not look happy when he saw Sakura in Gaiden first time after 10 years of absence.
And you think that's indicative that he doesn't love her? Are you serious? The entire time, Sasuke was very clearly shown to be aggravated because people who weren't supposed to be at his and Naruto's secret meeting place kept showing up. He didn't look happy when first meeting Naruto either, despite not seeing him for just as long. So what? You think that means he doesn't care about Naruto either? He was aggravated that Sarada was there because she was supposed to be in the village safe from all this, he was annoyed with Naruto for allowing the kids to follow him in the first place, and yeah, he didn't jump for joy when seeing Sakura because again, she was meant to be watching over Sarada in the village. One of the biggest incentives for his secrecy was to keep Sarada safe, and everything that was happening then, was the opposite of that.
You can call it a "bullshit excuse" all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that this is the reason that was given. But it's like people just refuse to acknowledge the fact that Sasuke admitted that he had made a big mistake, and refused to allow Sakura to apologise because he knew that he was the one at fault:
I mean what? Do people think that Sasuke has to be perfect or something? Is he not a human who makes mistakes just like everyone else? Sasuke knew that he took his secrecy too far, he hadn't anticipated the adverse affects his absence would have on Sarada, and he apologised for his mistake. Why? Because he cares, for goodness sake it's not hard to comprehend. I seriously would have never thought that people would actually question whether or not he loves his family. Why would Kishi promote a loveless marriage in his manga aimed at young boys? It just boggles the mind. If Sasuke didn't care about them, he wouldn't have thought he did anything wrong by his lack of contact with his daughter. I emphasise with his daughter because Sakura was still somewhat in contact with Sasuke as she was kept informed of what he was doing.
In my opinion Kishimoto wrote SS in this ambiguous way to appease both the SS haters and the SS shippers.
Why would Kishi care about appeasing the same fans who harassed him so badly following the manga's conclusion, that his editior had to respond in broken English and basically tell those entitled children that the story doesn't belong to them? I'll reiterate that there's nothing "ambiguous" about their relationship, nor is Kishi implying anything. Gaiden made it crystal clear, that the love between the Uchiha family is the real deal, there's nothing ambiguous about that statement, there's nothing ambiguous about Sasuke giving Sakura the forehead poke, and there's nothing ambiguous about Sasuke flat out clarifying that his heart is connected to Sakura's.

Shikamaru x Senju!reader
“listen as a shikamaru’s slut i am OBSESSED with your writing omg tysm for what you’re doing to the shikamaru girls community. i am now dedicating my life to worship your writing. can i ask for shikamaru with a reader who is tsunade daughter and sakura’s best friend? thank youu”-anon
Ah man just seeing the request makes me so giddy again lmao, thanks for the love! Hopefully this is good!
He met you when he was promoted to chunnin
You were leaning against the wall and he first assume you were also there to be promoted despite not seeing you in the exams
“Wait im the only one promoted? Then who’s she?”
“Oh her? Thats my daughter” Tsunade said and you gave a smile along with a short wave
“Y/n Senju, nice to meet you!”
Tsunade tells shikamaru to guide you around the village since the last time you were here is when you were a toddler
She’d do it herself but says she has hokage work
But in reality probably wants to go out and gamble and not worry about her kid
You and Shikamaru kinda start off awkward since he’s not too sociable and talkative
You take it upon yourself to spark a proper conversation and from there on out its a pretty pleasant experience
He talks about his friends and a few of his habits and you respond with your habits and how it was like traveling with someone like tsunade
You kinda expose her and say she’s obsessed with gambling and drinking
He asks if your a kunoichi and you tell him not officially
you didn’t go to the academy or have a headband but you have enough knowledge to become one
You know enough to defend yourself along with basic medical ninjutsu
He later learns you have the same monster strength she does
Naruto called you the mini sucker since your dad jiraiya nicknamed your mom the legendary sucker
You grew pissed off and punched naruto and he literally crashed through a few buildings
Shikamaru nearly pissed his pants lmao
How did this kind and happy girl he befriend turn into a demon with monster strength in two seconds?
He swore to never ever EVER piss you off because he would actually die
When sakura and ino trained under tsunade, you really bonded with sakura
She was really nice and supportive despite her destructive temper
Shikamaru doesn’t really care that your friends with sakura lmao
But what he does care for is hurting your feelings and not only having to deal with you, but he’d have to deal with your mom AND sakura
He sometimes wondered if sakura was actually just your long lost sister or something
I’m running out of things to say i’ve done shikamaru so much (like four times but shush)
When you guys were 15 or 16 you went out and got lunch and shika didn’t think of it too much
But after wards you smiled and said it was a fun date
Without thinking he was like ‘yeah, lets do it again sometime’
It only clicked what just happened when he made it home and he flipped out
But yeah since then you two have been together
Sakura makes sure to say threats to shikamaru a few times just too mess with him
She’s scary and half the time its hard to tell if its jokes or not
Tsunade would probably approve your relationship
“As long as he isn’t like that good-for-nothing pervert frog then he’s good in my book”
You could be a chiropractor with your strength lmao
Sometimes you forget your strength and when your excited and hug shikamaru you just completely pop his back
You definitely have embarrassed him by giving him piggy back rides through out the leaf or bridal carrying him
#shikamaru#shikamaru x reader#shikamaru headcanons#naruto imagines#naruto headcanons#yall really love shikamaru huh?#i don't blame you tho hes amazing
