Finished Chapter 14 of The Song of Achilles. Odysseus is Prince of Ithaca now 🤨? Wasn’t he already King during the events of the original story? What is the point of demoting him from King to Prince?

I will say Odysseus is my favorite part of the book so far. He moves the plot at lightning speed and he and Diomedes bring much needed comic relief.
