No but it is genuinely making me so angry that Achilles gets so much hate, just hear me out. As a person who has read the iliad many times, The silence of the girls and The song of Achilles too.

The Iliad is 51 days explaining Achilles' grief, it is written basically in the "dark" times of Greece, things were OBVIOUSLY brutal, and after all we are talking about greek mythology. Think of it, its a person living in 800 BCE, who is born destined to be a k1lling machine, son of o goddess, he is a tragedy himself. He is in a WAR, what are you all expecting him to act like as the best warrior in a BRUTAL war while Agamemnon embarrasses him Infront of everyone and takes his honour. Kind? Sweet? PLEASE. Don't even bring up the situation with Troilus, not in every version he grapes him, and they are in a war, what? He'll show mercy? Even to children. Every soldier is brutal, don't compare these dark times with modern standards.

However, i love the idea of Tsoa. He sure is portrayed differently because it is through Patroclus' eyes, who is madly in love. I believe that Tsoa shows that Achilles actually treated Patroclus differently than anyone else because it was the only person he loved as much, showing a side of Achilles that is actually sweet. Even the worst person in the world has a little kindness in them. And Achilles as a kid, he was a kid of course he would be the athletic sunshine kid, he wasn't a warrior, hadn't k1lled people, hadn't experienced such things. And im saying it again, we are talking about greek mythology, you cannot possibly name a hero without a tragedy, things are harsh, written MILLION years ago, don't compare such things with modern world.
