This is based on my AU here Eurylochus and most of the crew return. Eury reclaim his kingdom and most important of all, his life (Aka Ctimene) best of all, they are wearing the hairstyles they used last time they were together, long time ago.

Please let them get older next to eachother...

Random idea:

What if the events of the Trojan war happened years later than it did, and Telemachus was old enough to join his father in the war?

A quick google search says that on average, Greek boys would be soldiers as early as 16 (but it depended on where you were from)

For my idea, let's say that Tele is like 13, and Agamemnon sends the call out for all the kings to join the fight

And so ofc Odysseus, (Mr. 'became king at 13') thinks that Telemachus should come with him to the war so that he can learn all he needs to learn about war and fighting

And then ofc 10 years later when they finally breach Troy, Telemachus is 23 now, and a skilled fighter just like his dad

Athena brought him under her wing after his first battle at 16 (because Odysseus didn't feel safe letting him fight the first few years of the war) as she could see the same spark in him that she saw with Odysseus

Everyone in the camps is respectful of him and his position as prince, and he even joins his father to listen in on council meetings (Agamemnon complained at first, but was shut up real quick when Odysseus said he wouldn't be at the meetings unless Telemachus was as well)

When Odysseus and Menalaus go into Troy to try and strike a deal with the Trojans, Telemachus is left to make sure the Ithican troops are behaving

When the war is finally over and the Odyssey begins, Telemachus is with the crew now as second in command (Eurylochus is still just as important, just now third in command after Tele)

Ouuuuu I have so many ideas for this AU now, I don't know what I should call it

Imagine an Illiad AU tho! Because I've been thinking about Glinda-Achilles parallels so much these past few days

And if we're doing a Song of Achilles AU, don't get me started on Patrochilles and Gelphie parallels.

Glinda and Achilles both chooses fame and glory over a life with their other half. And after said partner's demise, they realize that their partner was more of a hero than they ever were and could ever be. [optional: spending the rest of their life in guilt and a little self-destruction, while maybe trying to make it up by making the world a better place in the shape of their lover's dream, or in Achilles' case, killing everyone and dying. (yeah...)]

Also! The Achilles Come Down song: "So self-indulgent and self-referential No audience could ever want you You crave the applause yet hate the attention Then miss it, your act is a ruse"

I have the sudden urge to write a Gelphie Odyssey AU. What do you guys think?
