Before I'm pressured to do it and treated like shit for weeks. He basically asks, and if I say I'm working on it, he threatens to kick me out hours later or a day later.

I stopped buying food for myself to pay rent, but this month it's all gone to bills, so I don't have anything to cover it. As usual, I have many things open, adopts, and stuff as well. I plan to try and post 5 50 dollar adopts. Those never sell in enough time, but if I can manage to make them and sell some to cover rent, I'll take down this post.

Given everything that's been happening lately (KOSA, the banning of "immoral" games, and so on), I don't know about you, but it pushes me to write stories that make people uncomfortable. After all, they blather on about freedom, but how can the mind be free and independent if it's guided by the expectations of others and limited by their prohibitions?

Every time I see these surveillance policies, and how they now also want to spy on our private conversations —which implies the end of encrypted messages—, I feel tiny and powerless. However, every time I sit down to write, I am the one in control. The keys my fingers press need to obey no one but me. And I'm sure the same goes for you, dear artist. So, while we boycott YouTube, why don't we kill time creating art?

Hi! Long time fan (from back in the homestuck days) and queer history fan. Short answer is, there is no easy answer.

Butch and butchness (and studs (black masculine women)) are modern terms (butch 1940s and studs 1960s) which are tied to white supremacy, religion and other historical factors. In fact every idea we have of sex, gender, sexuality and more has completely changed since Sappho was alive. The term lesbian most likely came from where she lived. Many different regions and periods have had words/descriptions for same sex attraction (and in Greece lots of sexual relationships were about manliness and who is more masculine in the act of sex)

Sappho, famously from Lesbos, Greece is an excellent place to start your research. But after her exile there is only one real 'sources of information and most are made up in the 1800s and on by people interested in Greek history and mythology. Even her poems have been destroyed in time. It is difficult to determine which of the women written alongside her in history are lovers, students or daughters.

A Greek historian would be able to help you more about the different elements of beauty. I think the easiest way to combine queer history and your goal interpretation into it is to say Aphrodite choses her appearance and that's what shes chosen (which is the most often used reason for authors to write why they described Aprhrodite that way)

As a lesbian hell yeah butch icon of beauty! Stereotypically short/shaved head, tattoos, piercings and masculine clothing and often plus sized with some taking testosterone and/or having top surgery. That would be the most different version of Aphrodite I've ever seen, I always see her pictured as moderly beautiful women of all colors with long hair. (I'm sure someone more well versed would have a variety of examples)
