So this is probably gonna be my last update this week, but as you can see I’ve put together a cozy motel (aka resort) 🏖️ Still a WIP but I’m really liking it so far!

Taking advantage of the private pool one last time and a good breakfast. It's the last day of vacation, then back to Redwood Harbor and hopefully a resolution to the stuck inventory bug!

No sooner did they get home, when... Oh girl, do you really need this heartache right now? I guess maybe if nothing else, you can get some closure. Besides, I'm pretty sure he's dating Jess right now.

Well, that's that. Maybe that trip gave her the fresh perspective she needed to move on. I feel like this is the complete end of Brianna and Reggie now. And on a side note, it DID fix the bug! No more stuck objects!

TS3 - Rodeway Inn Motel (No CC)

You might not find luxurious furniture or particularly healthy food at our motel, but we do offer you a private place to sleep—or, well, to do whatever it is you want to do. That said, keep one thing in mind during your stay: we don’t have a coffee machine here, so if you see one, be cautious. Let’s just say we’ve had a few... unpleasant experiences with that, and we’d rather not go through it again. Thank you.

For this build, I took inspiration from the motel featured in Chapter 2, Norwood Hitchhike, of the game Fears to Fathom (I’m sure some of you have already noticed). I absolutely love that game, and the moment I first saw that episode, I knew the motel would eventually become a new destination for my Sims. And well, here we are, right?

It’s not an exact replica, of course. I prioritized making it functional and fun for Sims rather than staying perfectly true to the original design.

What do you think? For those of you familiar with the game, does it get your approval? Personally, I’m totally in love with it—it adds a more realistic touch to my gameplay, which I really enjoy. Honestly, I’d even say it’s one of my favorites!

Puede que en nuestro motel no encuentres muebles lujosos ni comida especialmente saludable, pero te ofrecemos un lugar privado para dormir o, bueno, hacer lo que sea que quieras hacer. Eso sí, ten una cosa muy presente mientras te hospedas con nosotros: aquí no tenemos máquina de café, así que ten cuidado si ves una. Hemos tenido alguna que otra mala experiencia con este tema y no queremos repetirla. Gracias.

Para hacer esta construcción me he inspirado (seguro que algunos ya os habéis dado cuenta) en el motel que aparece en el capítulo 2, Norwood Hitchhike, del videojuego Fears to Fathom. No es exactamente igual, obviamente, ya que prioricé el hacerlo funcional y entretenido para los Sims que mantener el resultado fiel al original.

¿Qué os parece? ¿Los que conocéis el juego lo aprobáis? Yo estoy totalmente enamorada; le dará un toque más realista a mis partidas y eso me gusta mucho. Incluso diría que es una de mis favoritas.

MY THOUGHTS, CC CREDITS & Extra Things to Know

I originally wanted to use the resort receptionist desk, but putting it on a lot automatically makes it a IP EP Resort, so I had to take it out.

I recommend putting it back in, though, for the aesthetic--unless there's a good decor lookalike; I was too lazy to find one.

WARNING: I have all TS3 EPs installed, plus a few SPs, and I use A LOT of EA's Store CC, so I CANNOT guarantee that this lot will look the same in your gameplay as mine, if y'all don't have the same DLC.

Found out, again, that I was blocked by another person. And this time..

...what I've done to them. Is there something wrong with what I did or said in the past few days? I'm getting crazy thinking about if there are people who I unintentionally offended, and I'm sorry if I actually did. And to everyone, please, let me know if I somehow said something you don't agree with, or just offended with what I said or did. It feels unfair to get blocked when all I do here is post and share the things I create.

To the people I've unknowingly hurt and resorted to blocking me: I am truly sorry for whatever I did or said. I know there was a misunderstanding between us, and I hope we'd come to reconcile and make peace one day. All I wanted from the start is to have a platform where I can share evertyhing about my TS3 game and make friends with people who do the same, and I have no intention of hurting anyone.

Sigh. What a long night. I don't know if I could get a good sleep thinking all about this. But I hope everything will be fine...

Vavel Vacationaries: CC-Free Community Lot

When I was messing with TS3 during my yearly brief revisit of it, I tried out the resort management gameplay from Island Paradise. I always like to make a single adult sim to try out the huge amount of features TS3 has, and for resort management I went with a 1980s businesswoman.

Long story short, that sim and the pre-built resort I had her running inspired me to try to shoddily adapt that concept into TS2.

So this is a community lot, sorta designed like a tropical hotel/resort, but mostly just for aesthetics as it's not a "real" hotel (ie not zoned as one in-game, so the front desk object does nothing, it's just for decoration). There are 4 beds though, and if you do want to have a longer vacation-type experience on the lot you'd need the Sleep on Community Lots mod to have sims be able to use the beds.

Going along with my resort management inspiration, I tested out having this lot as an owned business, but it was pretty boring because sims would stand around thinking about buying a ticket from the Electrono-Ticket Machine, and once they did they would all go over to the Taste of the Tropics Food Stand and stand around thinking about buying food, and almost all of them would end up leaving the lot before they even bought any food. They literally didn't do anything else lol.

Soooo yeah that didn't work out, it was more fun to play it as a normal unowned community lot - And just pretend that it's owned by the sim I made, I guess.
