okay but i’m actually really digging ts nowlin’s headcanons of post tdc thomas.... (if i can call them that lmao)

so a little bit of context: a person asked what the purpose of thomas keeping the serum was since they were already in paradise. ts responded with what he thinks post tdc thomas would do aka use it to save people.

OK LISTEN. after watching the death cure, i just kind of assumed thomas was done with cranks and everything that’s got to do with the “cure” or whatever. while thomas was fiddling with the capsule of the cure at the end of tdc, i just thought ‘oh hey maybe he’s going to start an entirely new life and move on’ but not anymore!!! thanks to ts nowlin!!!

i like the idea of thomas going back to save people. we’ve always known thomas as a guy who won’t just sit around and do nothing, so what makes post tdc any different (i mean... apart from more emotional trauma lol)?

imagine thomas devoting his time to helping people who’ve been infected, and using the little serum he has to help them -- to bring them back to the island. imagine thomas’ main motivation for helping the infected being that he’s lost close friends like winston to the virus. especially newt. imagine thomas giving it all he’s got to help others bc it was what teresa believed in. in what teresa tried to do, thomas knows that he can succeed bc now he is aware that the cure can be derived from his blood. now he truly knows it’s all worth it.

i love how this movie’s intention was to not only be a continuation of thomas’s story but a look into teresa’s side as well, you’re literally supposed to be able to view this through the lens of teresa being the hero. it’s so slay for lack of a better word

Alice Waddington to Direct “Dept.H” Adaptation

Alice Waddington has signed on to direct a film adaptation of Matt Kindt and Sharlene Kindt’s Dept.H. T.S. Nowlin is adapting the screenplay. The graphic novel is published at Dark Horse Comics. Mike Richardson, Keith Holdberg and Paul Schwake are producing the film.

“When a renowned scientist is mysteriously killed in a deep-sea research station, his estranged daughter is sent six miles below the surface to investigate. With the pressure building and the water rising, she must race against time. To solve the murder, as she uncovers the truth behind the station’s purpose.” (Dark Horse Comics)

Will Smith’s Bright 2 finds director in The Incredible Hulk’s Louis Leterrier - hollywood

Director Louis Leterrier, known for The Incredible Hulk and Clash of the Titans, might direct the sequel of Will Smith’s Bright.

Streaming giant Netflix is in talks with Leterrier, also known for Now You See Me and the Transporter series, to lend his touch to the fantasy actioner Bright 2, in which Smith and Joel Edgerton will be reprising their roles, reports variety.com.

  The report also claimed that Netflix is “planning to begin shooting the sequel once it’s able to start production” after the coronavirus pandemic. The script for Bright 2 is written by David Ayer and Evan Spiliotopoulos, with a rewrite by TS Nowlin. Ayer directed the first part, which released in 2017.

Bright was an action-thriller that takes place in an alternate present-day south Los Angeles. For Bright, Ayer picked up a story with modern day sensibilities set in the present day, but added mythological characters to give a fantastical touch to the story while addressing real issues.

Despite getting mixed response, Bright became one of Netflix’s most streamed films. The streaming platform in 2018 announced plans to make a sequel but Ayer, best known for directing Suicide Squad, opted out of helming Bright 2.
