ambessa x reader who has a toddler OR
vi x pregnant!reader
be my be my baby !. Û« êŁà§ .
syn : pregannt hcs with arcane girls!
pair : arcane girls x fem!reader
warn : none! pure fluff, idk what else
note : i couldn't choose one so why not all, thank @heart4caitlin for helping me bless u king
when jinx finds out she was excited. you told her through a carving when she was teaching you how to make stuff with wood. jinx is the type of person to make mostly everything for the baby. she's also extremely protective btw, like goes crazy when she cant find you because she doesnt want you or the baby hurt, and also because shes scared you left her.
i also feel like jinx would be like REALLY overwhelmed with knowing her s/o is pregnant especially if its after silco died. jinx would try to make baby bombs for the baby but they were a huge no once you found out
i can vision her talking and painting the baby bump too. plans on teaching her child everything that she knows with building and refuses reader to buy the baby clothes and essentials bc jinx wants to make everything. she also refuses reader to but the baby clothes and essentials bc jinx wants to make everything
also she would be incharge decorating the babies room and has her signature everywhere and little monkies.
when vi finds out i feel how the way you would tell vi is the normal way and just showing her the test i fear.. vi definitely falls asleep with her hand on your bump aswell as telling the baby bump stories about her childhood adventures while reader is sleeping. adding onto that vi would ban allowing reader to let the baby have anything similar to her childhood adventures because she doesn't want the poor baby growing up in consent danger.
vi naming the baby the most outrageous names, 'oo we should name them cookie', 'how about brownie', 'chicken wing?', 'NO VI', 'what why :((('. shes the type to fist bump readers belly and she claims the baby kicks her as to fist bump her back. you would want vi to wrap the bow trend on her belly ( iykyk the trend ) and vi would brag about it.
vi making jinx build everything bc vi is to 'busy' buying everything online meanwhile she still freaking out ab being a good mother or not :((. she would aswell beg cait for some help. she would also want to do everything for you, making food (which she sucks at), massaging her feet.
when cait finds out i feel you would do one of those aesthetic boxes thingys and give it to cait and cait is over the moon. cait definitely plans EVERYTHING out. researching for the best doctors around, scheduling every appointment, baby proofing the house, making sure she has everything for the delivery cait would definitely keep the pregnancy on the down low until the baby is born especially from her mom but it was to late when the baby was borm ( iykyk )
caitlyn buying the most expensive and useful stuff for the baby after you convinced her not to. cait also reads first time parenting books just in case and tells you new facts everyday! buying reader expensive but comfy maternal clothes so reader feels better about this situation
OH and speaking of her mom, telling the bump about stories of her mom before she sleeps
when sevika finds out i feel she would find out on date night. she tried to order you wine then you admitted it right there and then. first things first we can agree.. shes so protective oh my gosh, the second anyone looks at you shes killing them. she also fixes everything around the house for you and the baby. she also loves loves feeling the baby kick but hates seeing you in pain so tells the baby to stop.
she also tells silco about the baby and makes him the god father before he dies. speaking of silco ! she tells the baby stories of silco after he dies. also tells the baby stories of jinx's shaninagans 24/7. once again makinv jinx build everything for the baby while she goes around and tell all of zaun if she sees one of them even look at reader wrong she'll kill them i fear
when ambessa finds out i feel you would be nervous to tell her because ambessa is always busy so ambessa finds out by herself. she also gets the most perfect cooks for you and the baby. she's very nervous to tell Mel at first but tells her eventually when its blantly obvious. shes also gets the best designers to design the baby's room.
she also talks to the bump about kino all the time lets be real

â
You were carrying both your water bottle and Leilaâs. There was nothing you could do when you felt the faintest brush of someoneâs fingers on your neck, which you were sure was the intention.Â
âJenni,â you hissed, crossing your arms over your chest as your bikini top fell limply down your front, now only held up by the string across your back.
The brunette laughed loudly in response, taking advantage of the fact that your hands were full and you couldnât chase her around the pool deck like youâd done an hour ago, when sheâd done the same thing. Instead you glared at her through your sunglasses, stomping over to the pair of loungers you and Leila were using. Setting the water bottles down, you quickly pulled the swimsuit back up, hands fiddling with the strings.Â
Behind you, Leila cleared her throat, and you turned to see her looking purposefully between you and Alexia, who was sprawled across her own chair, just a few feet away. Her eyes were obscured by her sunglasses, but you got the strange feeling that she was watching you. Knowing what Leila was getting at, you shook your head, sitting on the edge of her chair.Â
âTie it for me, please?â You requested.Â
Always one to take your comfort seriously, Leila did as you asked, pressing a kiss to the side of your head once she was done. She lingered there for a moment, her arms wrapping around your midsection and pulling you back into her.Â
âYou have to start somewhere, bebĂ©.â She whispered. âLeave it off.âÂ
You scowled feeling your face heat up. Stealing another glance over at the blonde, who was now taking a sip from her own drink, the condensation sliding off the bottom of the cup and down the tan skin of her very bare chest.Â
If Alexia felt your gaze on her, she didnât say anything. You werenât sure why you expected anything else; it was already the 2nd day of your trip and though you were sharing a villa with Alexia, eating meals with her and swimming in the same pool, she had remained indifferent towards you. No more than polite words and greetings, just like sheâd given you in the weeks since your last⊠thing.Â
Alexia could talk about football for hours at work, but the second you got involved, things quietened down. Sometimes youâd try and play around with her to tease out the softer side youâd caught glimpses off in the past. Instead of returning your playfulness, Alexia would stare until you were uncomfortable enough to walk away.Â
Alexia was borderline cold with you, yet she was the polar opposite with both her girlfriend, and yours.Â
Leila knew better than anyone that it was driving you insane.Â
When Leila had brought up the idea of a joint trip with the other couple, youâd jumped at the chance. There hadnât been much time in recent weeks to get as⊠acquainted⊠with them as youâd been in the past, as you hoped to get again. Time away from work felt like the perfect place to pull her out of her shell. And though the sexual tension around the villa could have been cut with a knife, Alexia continued to treat this like some kind of professional business trip. And so you did too.Â
âNo.â You whispered back to Leila. âLeave it alone unless you want to help me.âÂ
Leila just sighed, pulling you back to rest against her even though it was much too hot. Her silence told you the conversation wasnât over, but you were again distracted by the sight of Alexia getting up off her chair and walking tantalizingly slowly over to the steps of the pool.Â
If you werenât going to be having sex with her on this trip, why couldnât you have gone somewhere cold, where she would have been bundled up. That way, the miles of tan skin and legs and muscles would have stayed safely under wraps, and you wouldnât feel like tearing your hair out in a horny nervous breakdown every time you walked out onto the pool deck.Â
â
It wasnât until later that Alexia breached the subject of you with Jenni. She was tired of waiting, annoyed that everyone seemed to be waiting on her to make the first move; so much so she wasnât sure anyone else actually wanted it.Â
âI want them.â Alexia hummed before taking another bite of her toast.Â
âAgain?â Jenni replied as she closed the fridge. âHung up on them, arenât you?â
The captain twisted around, eyeing her girlfriend with suspicion. âYou donât want..?âÂ
âOf course I want to. More than once this time.â Jenni shifted closer, reaching out to push herself up against Alexiaâs back. Hooking her chin over her shoulder, she took a moment to appreciate the scantily clad couple in the distance.Â
Alexia carefully watched the approaching figures, too wrapped up in one another to really notice. âShe doesnât. She wonât even look at me.âÂ
âYou wonât look at her. Especially not when sheâs paying attention.âÂ
âShe doesnât want me to.âÂ
Jenni chuckled softly, turning to press her lips against Alexiaâs neck. âThatâs not true. Maybe if you replied with more than one word answers, youâd see how much she wants you.âÂ
Alexia huffed dramatically, taking another chomp of her snack instead of humoring her girlfriend with a reply.Â
Well used to Alexiaâs unspoken insecurities, Jenni kissed her once more before unwrapping herself to fix her own lunch.Â
â
Maybe it was because she hadnât touched you yet, or seemed even mildly interested in doing so, that you were so desperate for her. Leila, and Jenni to an extent, were obtainable. A few words, a few kisses, you knew theyâd be on board. Alexia, however, remained like a statue. Sheâd barely spoken to you in the 48 hours youâd been on holiday, and it was as confusing as it was annoying.Â
Werenât you both passed this, by now? Apparently not. You had brushed behind her in the kitchen earlier in the day, and sheâd frozen completely, before bolting out of the room and back outside, her snack forgotten on the counter.Â
âDoes she not want me anymore?â You mused, laying with your back pressed to Leilaâs bare chest. It was late, dark in the room except for the glow of the moon bouncing off the nearby water and through the window. Though you couldnât see your girlfriendâs face, you had the distinct feeling that she was rolling her eyes at you, but with nothing to back it up, you let it go.Â
âBebĂ©, just ask her.â Leila told you, arms tightening where they were looped around your abdomen.Â
âAsk her.â You scoffed. âShe wonât look me in the eye, sheâs barely said two words to me since weâve gotten here. I canât just ask if she wants to have sex.âÂ
âIt wouldnât be completely out of nowhere, youâve slept with her twice.â The brunette reminded you, her eyes flicking over to her phone, where the screen lit up just barely with a text.
Jenni: This is getting ridiculous. I think we should lock them in the bathroom together or something.
Holding back a snort, Leila refocused back on you, rambling away about how annoying Alexia was when she was being so standoffish. Leila knew you meant hot, but were too proud to say so. She hummed along, reaching for her phone once she was sure you were suitably distracted.Â
-
Leila: With a vibrator or something. And no clothes. And me!Â
Jenni rolled her eyes, casually pushing her phone back under her pillow with one hand, her other continuing its motion through Alexiaâs hair.Â
âI had her screaming and begging for me and now sheâs pretending like it never happened.â Alexia ranted, sighing loudly when she got no response from her girlfriend. Tilting her head up, she frowned when she was met with a small grin on Jenniâs face. âWhat? What are you smiling about?â
Jenni just shook her head. âYou know what Iâm going to tell you, Ale.âÂ
âI donât want to ask her, Jennifer. I want her to want me.â The midfielder grumbled.Â
âWell, maybe she wants you to go to her.âÂ
âI donât beg.â Alexia sighed, her face heating up when her girlfriend fixed her with a knowing look. âOkay, I donât beg for her, she begs for me. And she will. I donât care how long it takes.âÂ
Jenni let her eyes trail down to where the t-shirt Alexia had definitely stolen from her suitcase had ridden up, tan skin covering thick muscle. âBut it could be so much faster if you just started it.â
âNo. If she wants it, sheâll come.â
Jenni tried to ignore the hint of insecurity in Alexiaâs voice, opting instead to stroke back her baby hairs. âShe already comes, thinking about you, remember?âÂ
Reveling in the tiniest upturn of her girlfriendâs mouth, Jenni bent down for a kiss. âAnd if you ask me, sheâs crazy for not jumping on you today. Iâll be dreaming of that little bikini tonight.â âI can put it back on for you?â Alexia offered, sitting up a little to stay close. She giggled at Jenniâs theatrical groan.Â
âBut then youâd have to take off my clothes.â
âSĂ. Or you could do it for me?â The way Alexia boldly grabbed Jenniâs hand, dragging it lower and lower on her body until the strikerâs long fingers could toy with the waistband of her shorts, made up her mind. If Alexia wouldnât take the first step, and you wouldnât either, then there was nothing left to do but meddle.Â
With a quick series of kisses, Jenni grabbed her phone and slipped away to the bathroom, promising to finish what Alexia had started when she came back. Once the door was securely shut behind her, she replied to the defender.Â
Jenni: This is going nowhere. Plan B tomorrow.Â
Leilaâs reply came through quickly.Â
Leila: Can we get more of that chocolate ice cream while weâre out?
Jenni sighed, for what felt like the 5th time that evening. No wonder her plan had been failing so miserably, what with her accomplice being so easily distracted. Leila could have all the ice cream in the world if thatâs what it took for her to remain subtle and let the two of you start yourselves.Â
â
âAmor! Jenni and I are going to the store!â Leila shouted, just barely poking her head out the door. You looked up from your book, eyes wide. Your girlfriend was dressed, not in the swim suit sheâd had on earlier.
âYou and Jenni and⊠Alexia?â You asked, sitting up fully and attempting to fix Leila with your most threatening stare.Â
Leila bit at her lip, something she only did when she was trying to hide her smirk. âNo, just me and Jenni. Bye, I love you!â She shut the door behind her before you could say anything back. You had the very distinct feeling that you were in the middle of some kind of plot, one that had Jenni written all over it.Â
As Leila disappeared into the house, you made out the outline of Alexia, just barely visible through the glare of the sun off the glass. Even the mere sight of her silhouette was erasing every thought from your head, and you cursed the woman for looking so good all the time. It would have been easier, honestly, if you knew for sure that you couldnât have her. This awkward, stunted dynamic between the two of you was driving you insane, and now you were going to be all alone with her.Â
Inside the house, Jenni was wishing sheâd followed Leilaâs lead and told her girlfriend she was leaving from a safe distance away. Instead, Alexia stood right in front of her, jaw dropped in horror. Â
âWhat do you mean youâre going to the store with Leila?â Alexia frowned.Â
Jenni snorted, leaning in to kiss her girlfriendâs cheek even as she began to tease. âWell, Leila and I are going to get in the car, and then drive to this place that sells food. And then-â
âJenni, take me.â Alexia interrupted, an unusual amount of panic in her voice. âSheâs in a bikini. Iâm going with you.âÂ
The striker chuckled, detaching her girlfriendâs hands from where they were clutching onto her shirt. âNo, you need rest after last night. You should go out by the pool, take a nap. Or tire yourself out more.âÂ
Alexia glared back at her girlfriend, fighting to keep her focus on the brunette and not let it drift over to where you were spread out on a lounge chair. Just over Jenniâs shoulder, you were staring at the door, skin glistening with sweat, long legs extended in front of youâŠÂ
Alexia shook her head but Jenni was already moving towards the front door. âJennifer Hermoso, do not leave me here.â The midfielder hissed, fighting the urge to jump onto her girlfriendâs back and tackle her to the floor.Â
âBut you wonât be alone, amor!â Jenni grinned, turning around to face her girlfriend, yet continuing to back towards the front door. âAnd put that red bikini on. Itâll drive her crazy.âÂ
âI am going to kill you.â Alexia vowed through gritted teeth.Â
âMaybe she can put you in a good mood first. Ciao!â Jenni sang, slipping out the front door and shutting it behind her.Â
__
For a while, the villa was far quieter than you were used to. As hot as it was outside, you were set on remaining right there, baking in the sun rather than facing whatever frosty reception was indoors. After a while, the choice was made for you.Â
The sliding doors opened, and as much as you were trying not to look, it was impossible to ignore firetruck red.Â
Alexia closed the door silently, shuffling her way into the sun before pulling her sunglasses down and stretching out face down over the lounger. Not once did she glance in your direction.Â
There was silence while you took in the perfect curve of her ass, hardly covered.Â
âI like your swimsuit.â You called gently.Â
Alexia shifted a little before grumbling. With her face away from you, it was a struggle to understand. âGracias. Jenni likes it.âÂ
Of course. Jenni, her girlfriend. The person she actually wants to talk to.Â
Silence fell once more.Â
âShe has good taste.â You hummed, sitting up quickly to gather your things. It was too hot, your water bottle was empty, you needed to freshen up before Leila got home. Whatever rationalization you thought through, none felt completely true.Â
You were both quiet as you retreated back through the doors, into the safety of the kitchen.Â
For a while, you sat at the island, sipping cool water and trying to think of anything beyond Alexia. No matter which path you took, from Leila to work, family to future plans, somehow your brian would always find its way back to her.Â
You flinched when the sliding door opened, then came the soft pads of her footsteps until swaths of tanned skin stepped into your eye line.Â
âYou can..?â Alexia trailed off, holding up a bottle of sunscreen.Â
Finally you looked at her, schooling yourself to ignore the way the peak of her nipples could be seen through the thinly stretched triangles of her top. It took the raise of her eyebrows for your brain to catch up. âMe? I can. Yeah, of course.â Â
In a few short days, youâd seen Jenni take full advantage of Alexiaâs love of sun safety. Youâd tried not to stare at the strikerâs wet hands dragging over every inch of her girlfriendâs body, kneading tight muscles until Alexia would moan and melt into her. Â
Slowly, you slid off the chair and closer to her. Slipping the bottle to your hand, Alexia turned and pulled her ponytail out of the way.Â
It wasnât often you got to freely admire your Captainâs back. Bare skin dotted with tattoos and tiny freckles all the way down to where her bikini (hardly) covered her ass. After squirting a little too much sunscreen onto your hands, you pressed them against her. Her skin was already hot.Â
You could feel the thick muscle of her back under your fingertips as you committed to the task, meticulously ensuring that every centimeter was coated well. The top half was straightforward, bar having to dodge the ties of her top. As you moved downwards, your brain started to go into overdrive. The tiniest sigh from her as your thumbs stroked over her lower back made you shiver.Â
Lower still, until one hand had to curve around her hip to steady her when you dipped your fingers just underneath where her bikini covered.Â
Alexia was still and silent.Â
Perhaps it was selfish how you lingered, stroking over and over in the hopes that maybe something would make her crack. The tiniest sign that she wanted more was all you needed, but even as your hands stroked back to safer spots, nothing.Â
âWas there anywhere else?â You murmured.Â
âNo!â Alexia said immediately, twisting to pick up the sunscreen bottle and step away. âGracias.â
âAnytime.â You replied, but she was already taking fast steps towards the door.Â
-
Jenni and Leila reentered the house, both frowning at the quiet they found. Jenni was disappointed at the thought that no progress had been made. Leila was less discouraged.Â
âMaybe they are outside!â She said hopefully, depositing the several bags of groceries she was carrying on the counter, before spotting Alexia, alone, out on the pool deck.Â
âYour girlfriend is stubborn.â Jenni sighed, opening the freezer to unload the three entire pints of chocolate ice cream sheâd been conned into buying. Her girlfriend looked tense, even as she lounged on a chair.Â
Leila turned from where she was headed to search for you, looking affronted, but before she could say a word in response, the bedroom door creaked open and you darted out, grabbing onto Leilaâs wrist and yanking her back into the room with you.Â
âBebĂ©! There you are!â Leila began, flashing you with a sunny smile and attempting to lean in to kiss your cheek. She paused, though, finding your cheeks flushed red, a sheen of sweat visible on your forehead. âHave you had too much sun?âÂ
Even your girlfriendâs sweet concern couldnât distract you from the problem at hand. âNo! I have had too much Alexia. Sheâs wearing this bikini - and the sunscreen on her back, and her skin is so warm, and-â
âYou and Alexia?â Leila asked excitedly, dragging you over to the bed. She caught the way the sheets were slightly crumpled, and how you were wearing a different pair of swimsuit bottoms than before, taking it all to mean something that it absolutely didnât. âTell me about it!â
âShe asked me to put sunscreen on her back.âÂ
Leila blinked, wondering if that was some kind of English euphemism sheâd never learned.Â
âSunscreen on her back⊠like the⊠you⊠what kind of sex is that?â She asked, an adorably confused look adorning her features.Â
You glared at your girlfriend, ripping your hand away from hers and beginning to pace around the room. âThat is no kind of sex Leila! I complimented her bikini, and she barely replied, so I went inside and she followed me, just to ask me put sunscreen on her back!âÂ
âDid you?â
âOh yes. I put sunscreen all over her back. Everywhere. I lingered and I touched her and nothing!âÂ
âNothing?âÂ
âNo. And now Iâm allâŠâ you trailed off, waving your hands around in the air wildly. âAnd itâs all your fault for leaving me here with her.â At this, Leila had the decency to look mildly guilty, reaching out her hand to lace her fingers with yours. She drew you in, closer and closer, until she could wrap her arms around your midsection, and pull you into her lap.Â
âI would have enjoyed you putting lotion on my back. It would have been very hot, bebĂ©. Irresistible.â Leilaâs words were soft, but held an undertone that had the feelings youâd been trying to shove aside flooding back into you.Â
You shifted so you could look at her face. âYeah?âÂ
âSĂ.â Leila nodded earnestly, leaning up to gently peck your cheek. She had barely pulled away before you were moving around to straddle her lap, pressing your lips urgently to your girlfriendâs. If Leila was surprised at the turn of events, she didnât show it, her hands settling on your hips as she allowed you to press her back down onto the mattress.Â
The act of dominance wasnât unusual for you to put on at the beginning, and Leila knew very well that it would only be a few minutes before all you wanted was to be underneath her. Still, she laced her fingers through your hair, giving a soft tug. The low whine you let out gave her an idea.Â
Technically, it had been Jenniâs Plan C, but Leila decided to take initiative.Â

Letâs start over.
Sneak peek: Aaron and Reader were together back when she was finishing her bachelorâs degree. It went on for a bit until Aaron started to pull away â after confronting him, you called things off. Years later you return to Quantico to streamline the new child crimes unit which will work directly with the BAU. Aaron is surprised to see you and asks you to dinnerâŠsome shocking secrets are revealed. (There are timeline edits to this story to fit my vision okay?!)
Aaron Hotchner x (Fem) Reader
Angst/Fluff
Word count: 5301
Part 2: bonus scenes
REQUESTS ARE OPEN - not edited - please be kind. Requests are open and feedback is welcome if it's constructive!
Warnings: My blog is 18+, minors DNI, age gap (reader is in their 20âs and Hotch is in his 40âs), explicit language, keeping a child a secret, Hotch not being the best partner (past), description of BAU and other FBI units â some canon typical subject matter, OCâs Nora (child) Theo and Leila (agents), mention of hospitals, and mention of febrile seizure, mention of Jack, mention of Haley (their relationship timeline was adjusted to make this work â they separated when Jack was like 2-3 y/o) let me know if I missed any!
I do not consent to having my work translated or reposted to any other site. That being said I do not own the characters portrayed in this story.
âAaron would you please just tell me whatâs going on!â You pleaded.
âNothing. I told you to just drop it. Nothing is wrong.â Aaron snapped.
Things had been like this for the past few weeks. Aaron was being short with you, snippy about menial things that had never bothered him before. You couldnât figure out what was going on, it had truly begun to weigh heavily on your relationship.
âWe both know thatâs bullshit. Why wonât you just talk to me?â You were practically begging him at this point.
âJesus Christ, would you just let it the fuck go. I said I donât want to talk. Why is that so hard for you to understand?â Aaron shouted. âMaybe Dave was right.â He mumbled.
âRight about what?â Your voice came out much smaller than intended.
âMaybe youâre too young, too immature. You just donât understand the stress Iâm under.â Aaron huffed out a sigh.
Aaron and you had been together for nearly two years. Initially it had been more of a fling due to the fact that he was teaching a course you were taking to complete your bachelorâs degree. He and you took things to the next level once youâd graduated and now you were about to complete your masterâs degree. You loved Aaron, but with how things had been going for the last few months, you couldnât help but wonder if that was enough.
âI donât know if I can do this anymore.â You whispered.
âSo what? We get in a little fight and youâre going to throw a tantrum?â Aaron spat pure venom.
âA tantrum?â You said, exasperated. âAaron Iâm not a toddler kicking and screaming because I am not getting my way. Iâm a grown ass woman asking for some healthy communication in our relationship. We havenât had a real conversation in months, and I donât think I can go on like this.â You gasped, the realization finally hitting youâŠthis had to end.
âSweetheart, we can work this out. Iâm sorry okay?â Aaron reached for you.
âNoâŠâ You took a retreating step, your back making contact with the back of your sofa. âI think itâs too late Aaron. And honestly itâs rich that you called me immature, when you are so emotionally stunted. You refuse to act your own age and talk things through. Instead, you bottle things up and push away anyone who cares about you. I wonât be your punching bag anymore, I have too much respect for myself.â Your tears had finally broken free, trailing down your cheeks clouded with black from your mascara.
âSo thatâs it then? Weâre done?â Aaron scoffed.
âI guess thatâs it.â You gasped.
With that, Aaron grabbed his bag and left. Pausing for a second, before shaking his head and making his leave. The moment you heard the lock click, your knees gave out and you collapsed to the floor as sobs ripped through your body. You laid there for what felt like days, broken and devastated by the loss of what you presumed was your forever. He was gone and youâd have to move on, something you werenât sure was possible in that moment.
** Present Day **
âHello? ⊠This is she ⊠Oh! Director Cruz ⊠yes I am getting everything ready. ⊠I canât thank you enough for this opportunity, truly. ⊠Of course, thank you. ⊠Alright, I will see you Monday. ⊠Thank you ⊠Bye.â You were practically buzzing as you hung up the phone.
âWas that bossman?â Hestia questioned.
âYes it was! He was checking in and making sure I have everything I need before I start on Monday!â You gushed.
âI canât believe you are moving back to Virginia. I am going to miss you so, so much!â Hestia whined.
âI am going to miss you too! But itâll only be like a month until you join meâŠright?â You inquired.
âYes! My lease is up then and as long as youâre still cool with us staying with you guys until we find our own place, we will be there!â She explained.
âUmmm of course you guys can stay with us! Free childcareâŠIâd be an idiot to pass that up!â You laughed as Hestia threw a pillow at you.
You were actively packing up your life and preparing to move back to Virginia. You hadnât been back there in nearly five years. After breaking things off with Aaron and completing your masterâs degree, youâd looked into PhD programs around the U.S. and had ultimately decided on the child psychology program at Colombia University, and while New York wasnât too far from Virgina, it at least put space between you and Aaron.Â
About eight months after you and Aaron had broken things off, Nora had come as quite a surprise. Despite the shock that was brought on by your pregnancy, Nora had become the greatest gift you couldâve asked for. Having Hestia around to make up for your lack in baby daddy had brought the two of you incredibly close together.
You had met Hestia in a pretty unconventional way, she was one year into her residency for general surgery, and you had appendicitis. So, she worked hand-in-hand with the surgeon who removed your appendix, and well, the rest had been history. Sheâs been with you through everything in the last four years, most importantly, sheâs helped you raise Nora. Youâd been sure to repay the favor, especially within the last yearâŠHestiaâs mom had passed, leaving her 15-year-old sister in her care. The four of you had become your own little family.
âSo, whatâs your plan tomorrow?â Hestia asked.
âOh, my parents flew in last week and they drove most of my stuff down on Tuesday. My mom said she wanted it to be set up for us, so weâd be able to move right in, especially since I start work immediately. So, I am just getting the last few things together today and we will head down tomorrow, and I guess we will finish getting everything set up this weekend. Theyâre staying with me, pretty much until you and Selene can come out. They donât want me to have to put Nora in daycare.â You explained.
âAw, Iâm so glad theyâre able to do that! I know by then youâll be ready to have them out of your hair, but it is nice that you wonât have to leave her with strangers right away.â Hestia patted your leg. âI do have a question for you thoughâŠare you at all worried about running into your ex?â
âI donât even know if he still works there Hes, itâs a huge place. Whoâs to say we even see each other at all?â You shrug.
âYou are so full of shit!â Hestia laughs. âDonât act like you didnât check to see if heâs still there.â
âUgh! Yes heâs still the unit chief of the BAU! Of course I looked. And yes. I am terrified, Director Cruz said my unit will most likely work with the BAU more than any other team and Iâm not sure I can handle that.â You groaned.
âYou canât avoid him forever babe. Are you going to tell him about Nora?â
âHes, I donât even know how I would begin to tell him.â You shook your head. âWe ended horribly and sheâs four now. What if he freaks out?â
âI mean he might. Hon, you have to tell him, sheâs his daughter you know⊠I donât think thereâs an easy way to do it. Like itâs gonna be ugly no matter what. But at least youâre telling him.â Hestia reasons.
You knew she was right, you had to tell Aaron about Nora, but honestly it could wait. You had an entire unit to run, and you couldnât let your fear of seeing him and having that conversation distract you from the important work youâd be doing.
Monday came far too quickly. Your parents had been a huge help, and the house was almost completely unpacked. Nora had settled in well with them being there with you both, and you were incredibly grateful to them for supporting you.
You had gotten up early to make breakfast and eat with Nora before heading into the office. When you walked into the FBI building, you made your way to the front desk to get your ID and then headed to the directorâs office.
âWelcome! We are so glad to have you and your team joining us at the FBI. Child crimes is something that has needed an official unit for far too long, I am just happy to have you leading it.â Director Cruz greeted you.
âThank you Director, it is truly an honor to have been asked to lead this team. From my understanding, Theo and Leila will be here tomorrow to begin officially.â
âThatâs correct. I want to go over some logistics with you before I show you to your office. As of right now your team will just be the three of you, if we see a need to expand, we will. I am going to assign you and your agents each a specific unit for if you are needed in more than one place. You will be the point person for the Behavioral Analysis Unit and the Sex Crimes Unit, Leila will take point with Violent Crimes and Theo will take point with Cybercrimes. I anticipate that your team will work closest with the BAU and SCU.â Director Cruz explained.
âThat all sounds good sir. Are the Unit Chiefs of these departments all aware of our arrival? I just want to ensure they will be prepared to work with us and that there wonât be too much pushback.â You posed.
âI understand. Yes, they have all been informed of your teamâs arrival and I have made it very clear that their cooperation is nonnegotiable. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal, so hopefully there will be very little pushback from our agents.â Director Cruz reassured you. âAre you ready to see your office now?â
âYes sir, thank you.â
Stepping off the elevator onto the sixth floor, you immediately took note of the directory sign listing that the BAU was housed on this floor. It made your stomach churn, knowing that you would most definitely see Aaron every day⊠not to mention in like the next few minutes.
âOkay so, through this door here is where the BAU is, as I mentioned before. There are two open desks down in the bullpen there for Theo and Leila, and your office is just there. You will be between agents Hotchner and Rossi.â Director Cruz noted as you entered your office. âIâd like to introduce you to agent Hotchner before I let you settle in; I think it is important given how frequently youâll be working together.â
âOf course, sir.â You nodded.
The ten steps it took to get from your office to his felt like an eternity. You felt sick knowing that youâd have to face the man that had broken you all those years ago. You may have ended things with him officially, but he had truly ended it when he decided that you werenât worthy of communicating with. At this point you were just hoping that heâd grown up in that area, because you really needed him to take the news of Nora well.
âAgent Hotchner, I have the new child crimes unit chief here for you to meet.â And before Director Cruz could give Aaron your name, it escaped his own lips, framed by his shocked expression. âOh, you two know each other?â
âAgent Hotchner was a guest lecturer for one of my undergrad courses. He was my inspiration for entering this field.â You supplied.
It wasnât a total lieâŠ
âYes, she was a bright student. Iâm not surprised to see that she made it to the FBI.â Aaron added.
âAlright then, I will leave you to catch up then.â With that, the Director made his way back to his office.
âHow umâŠhow are you?â Aaron inquired.
âIâm well Aaron. I donât really think anymore small talk is necessary. I should go get settled into my office.â You huffed out a breath before exiting the room.
You made sure to take your time getting settled. Placing some personal things out on your desk and shelves. You had a few plants, some of your favorite pens, some file folders, you hung up your degrees, you organized your psychology books on the shelves along with some law books, and the last, most important detail was a framed photo of you and Nora that you sat next to your lamp.
The day had sped by as you made yourself comfortable on the couch in your office while reading through some emails from other units and some case files of theirs from previous cases to see how they typically ran things. You had been trekking along just fine until a quite knock broke your concentration. Looking up, you werenât entirely surprised to see it was Aaron standing there.
âI just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. Itâs almost eight.â Aaron informed you.
âOh shit! I didnât even realize!â You scrambled to check your phone.
âI know that you said small talk wasnât necessary, and I agree. I would however really like to take you to dinner to catch up, and maybe I can explain some things.â Aaron requested.
âOh, I um. Iâm not sure thatâs a good ideaâŠI uh-â
âPlease. I really need to explain myself, for how awful I was back then. No excuses, just maybe itâll help you see my point of view. Iâve worked on myself a lot since then.â Aaron pleaded.
âI have to make a call first.â You conceded.
âOf course. Iâll give you some privacy.â He exited your office.
You quickly called your mom, letting her know that you were going to dinner with a coworker, asking her to take care of the remainder of Noraâs bedtime routine. You also had to inform her you wouldnât need to be picked up. After which you spoke to Nora wishing her a good night and giving her a kiss through the phone. You then gathered your belongings and met Aaron in the bullpen.
âSo, I donât have my car. My parents are in town, they helped me move, so I left my car with them.â You explained sheepishly.
âNo worries, if youâre comfortable with it, I can drive us. I can take you home after as well.â Aaron offered.
âYeah, that would be great. Thank you.â You offered a gentle smile.
Aaron gestured you to the elevator and you made your way down to the parking garage. Aaron, ever the gentleman made sure to open the car door for you, both in the garage and again at the restaurant. There was a tinge of sadness that flooded your mind as you noticed where Aaron took you.
It had been your go to for date nights back when you were together. It was a recommendation from Dave â who you couldnât help but feel a bit of resentment toward given the âtoo youngâ comment. You wondered if Aaron brought you here on purpose, and he mustâve picked up on your thought.
âIâm sorry, I donât know why I drove us here. I guess it was muscle memory.â He shook his head.
âItâs okay. Iâve missed the food honestly.â You let out a little chuckle.
âI have too. I uh, I havenât been here since we ended.â Aaronâs voice trailed off toward the end of his statement.
You were relieved that the night hadnât been filled with awkward silence. It had, however, been a lot of catching up while Aaron avoided the main reason he brought you here and you avoided talking about Nora. You were both saved by the waiter when he came by to get your order.
âWould you like to see the wine list?â
âNo thank you. Iâll just have water.â You were quick to answer.
âWater is fine for me also.â Aaron added.
âAre you ready to order your entrees then?â
âI will have the Mezzi Rigatoni, and she will have the Ricotta Cavatelli.â Aaron declared.
The waiter nodded and walked off. You couldnât help but look at Aaron with a bit of shock. It is what you always ordered, so you couldnât be mad, but it felt foreign and all too familiar at the same time. He always ordered for you when you used to go out, he used to know you better than you knew yourselfâŠbut that was then.
âIâm so sorry â I donât know why I did thatâ Aaron was quick to apologize âMaybe coming here was a bad idea. Itâs all too familiar.â
âItâs okay Aaron. I was going to order it anyway. Maybe we should talk about why weâre here.â You suggested.
âOf course. I want to explicitly state that I am not trying to make excuses for how I acted then, because I know I was horrible to you in the end. I do just want to give you some insight as to what I was going through at that time. I really want to communicate now what I didnât then.â He began.
You nodded for him to continue as the waiter brought your food and drinks. Â
âSo, you know that Haley and I divorced before you and I got together officially. Well once you and I became serious and my time was either spent at work or with you and Jack, Haley didnât seem to like that. She uh, she tried to fight me for primary custody of Jack.â Aaron explained.
âWhat? Aaron why didnât you tell me?â
âHonestly, because I knew youâd take a step back in our relationship. I knew that with how selfless you are, youâd offer to back off and give me more time with Jack and I didnât want that. I wanted to have you and Jack, so I kept it to myself. Which broke us anyway.â He concluded.
âI really wish you wouldâve told me; things may have been different Aaron. I am glad youâre telling me now though.â You desperately wanted to reach for his hand but ultimately decided against it.
Now was as good a time as any, you had to tell him about Nora. He confessed something and it was your turn. And just as you were about to open your mouth, a shrill ring sounded from Aaronâs coat pocket.
âHotchner. YesâŠCCU as well? Yes â Iâm with their unit chief now. Weâre on our way.â Aaron hung up the phone and looked over at you. âIs your team here in Virginia?â
âYes, theyâre not meant to start until tomorrow.â You provided.
âCall them in, we have a case. Time is of the essence.â Aaron signaled for the check.
The two of you contacted your respective teams as you made your way back to the car. Aaron once again opened your door for you and drove you back to the office. You texted your parents and informed them of the case and asked your mom to let Nora know youâd be home as soon as you could.
30 minutes later you were on a private jet to Chicago with your team and the entirety of the BAU. You had unintentionally sat beside Aaron and began going over the case details with everyone. Aaron had begun explaining the preliminary profile, and you couldnât help but chime in. Everyone was watching how the two of you riffed and bounced ideas off of one another so naturally.
âJust a reminder, there are new protocols for entry into the crime scene when we are locating the children. We need to follow those exactly to ensure we donât harm these children more so than they are already. If you have any questions about those procedures feel free to ask me or my agents.â You instructed.
âRight. Now for assignments, Dave, JJ and Theo Iâd like you to interview the family of the latest victim ââ
âMolly Leland.â You corrected.
âApologies. Dave, JJ, Theo go to the Lelandâs and find out anything you can. Morgan, Prentiss and Leila, you three go to the abduction site, I want to ensure CSU didnât miss anything. And Reid youâll be with us at the station to start on the geographical profile.â Aaron finished, gesturing to the two of you.
Six days. It had been six days, and you still hadnât made any progress on this case. Another child had gone missing, and things were incredibly tense. Both teams had been in the designated room within the precinct going over theories.
âI think weâre looking at this all wrongâŠâ Leila began, âI think the person abducting these kids is younger than initially profiled.â
âGiven their disorganization and the lack of consistent victimology, Iâd say thatâs a pretty plausible theory.â Spencer validated.
âOkay, Leila what were you thinking?â You inquired.
âWhat if it is a teenager? My thoughts were a kid who grew up in foster care â hence the random victimology. They just want siblings, and thatâs why there arenât any bodies.â Â Leila suggested.
âI think sheâs onto something. If it was a young adult who was newly alone in the world, theyâd be looking to find people to surround themselves with.â Morgan continued.
âGarcia, run a search for kids that just aged out of group homes and foster care.â Aaron called to their technical analyst.
âWithin the geographical limits I just sent over to you.â Spencer added.
When your phone rang, you excused yourself from the room, answering the call from your mom. You could immediately tell something was wrong given the slight lilt to her voice.
âMom, whatâs wrong?...Why do you need the childrenâs Tylenol. ⊠Fever? Whatâs her temperature? ⊠103? MOM! You need to take her to the ER. ⊠Iâm serious! ⊠Iâm coming home. ⊠Yes! ⊠Iâll be there as soon as I can. ⊠Take her straight to Bethesda. âŠOk. Bye.â
You turned and jumped in surprise at Aaron standing there behind you.
âI just came to let you know weâre splitting up to check out a few leads. Is everything okay?â He asked.
You could tell he had more questions and that heâd more than likely heard the entirety of your conversation but was holding back in asking them.
âUm no. My daughter is sick. She has a pretty high fever. I uh, I need to get home.â You panicked.
âOkay. We will get you home then. Iâll send the teams out and I will make some calls. For now, just try to stay positive okay?â Aaron had always been the calm in the storm.
He sent three separate groups out to find the unsub and had made a few calls back to the director to get you on an emergency flight home. He went as far as to drive you to the hotel and then to the hangar.
âAaron.â
âGet home to your daughter.â He offered a small smile.
âThank you.â
Leila had texted to update you that they had caught the unsub and would be heading home in the next hour or so. You had been grateful that the team had successfully closed the case. What was killing you, was the state of your baby girl. She had an excessively high fever, and it just wouldnât break.
âMiss, thereâs someone here to see you.â The nurse informed you.
You looked over at your mom who gave you a nod and you exited the room. Following the nurse to the waiting room, you were surprised to see Aaron standing there.
âI just wanted to see how sheâs doing, and how you are.â He declared.
âI um. IâmâŠâ You couldnât help but break down.
Aaron immediately pulled you into his arms and moved you both over to a couch in the waiting area. He let his hand brush over your hair and whispered reassurances to you. The two of you sat like this for a while before you slowly pulled away.
âSorry. She just has this fever, and it wonât break, and they donât know whatâs wrong.â
âSweetheart itâs okay. She will be okay.â Aaron grabbed your hand.
A moment went by and then an alarm sounded. Your gaze shot up as you watched medical staff make their way to Noraâs room. You got up and ran to her room, with Aaron hot on your heels.
âWhatâs happening? What is going on? Somebody tell me what is going on!â You were practically shouting as Aaron pulled you from the room.
Your mom was pacing in the hallway as Aaron held you back from storming back in. It was killing him to see you this distraught.
âIt was a febrile seizure. This can happen when children have such a high fever. Weâve given her a sedative to try and help her rest and we pushed some more Tylenol to aid in breaking the fever.â The doctor explained.
âIs she going to be okay?â You questioned.
âWeâre doing everything we can. A nurse will be by soon to take her temperature again.â The doctor walked away.
âIâm going to go find your dad. That way you two can have some privacy.â Your mom said pulling you into a hug.
âThis is Nora.â You told Aaron as you ran your hand over her forehead, brushing her curls away from her face.
âSheâs beautiful.â He complimented.
You sat in silence for a bit with him just watching Nora. You could tell part of him was itching to ask, but you also knew that Nora was a bit small for her age so he couldnât be sure that she was his. This moment of avoidance was terminated the second the billing staff came in to get all of your information.
âHey there, I wanted to confirm all of the info for billing. Do you have your driverâs license and insurance card?â The staff requested.
âYes, here it is.â You passed her the card.
She filled in all of your information, clicking away on her keyboard while the rest of the room sat with a looming silence. You could feel the question coming. You had been an idiot to give Nora her fatherâs last name.
âOkay and can you confirm the patientâs name and date of birth for me?â
âYes, itâs uhâŠNora Leigh Hotchner. Thatâs H-O-T-C-H-N-E-R. Date of birth is 10/4/2019.â You could feel Aaronâs gaze burning into you.
âAlright, here are those cards back. Thank you.â She made her leave.
âSeriously?â
âAaron, let me explain.â
âNot here.â He motioned toward Nora.
He swiftly made his way out of the room, and you were quick to follow. In noticing your parents, you signaled for them to sit with Nora as you practically chased after Aaron. He didnât stop until he was in a private waiting room, it was only then that he turned to face you.
âAre you fucking kidding me? Sheâs mine? And what, you didnât think to tell meâŠI donât know, FOUR YEARS AGO?â Aaron was fuming.
A part of you understood his response, but another part of you was furious that he wasnât allowing you to explain before flying off the handle.
âDonât yell at me. If weâre going to do this, we will talk like adults. I will not sit here and allow you to berate me.â You held your ground.
âOkay.â
âI found out I was pregnant after I left for New York. And at that point Aaron, I was so devastated by our breakup, and I just didnât think I could be around you. I know thatâs not fair, but I had thought you and I were forever and then weâd just ended. I was going to tell you last week at dinner, but then we got called in. Aaron I am so sorry, and I know that doesnât make up for the time youâve lost, but I also need you to know that I did what I felt like I had to do.â You let your gaze fall to the floor in guilt.
âI understand. Iâm not happy, but I get it.â He reached for your hand.
You accepted the gesture and furthered it by pulling him into an embrace. He wrapped his arms around you and rested his head atop your own.
âIâve told her about you.â You whispered.
âWhat?â
âIâve told her about you. Sheâs seen pictures and heard stories. She knows you Aaron.â
He held you a little tighter and you nuzzled a little closer. After a few moments he suggested that you both get back to your girl. You both sat with her all night, letting your parents go home. At three in the morning, the night nurse gave you the good news, her fever had finally broken. The next day, Aaron drove the two of you home, leaving with a scheduled family day where you would introduce Jack and Nora. You had also discussed talking to the kids about their birthday party (since their birthdayâs are only 3 days apart). With Jack turning seven and Nora turning 5 in a little more than a month, you wanted to plan something big for the two of them.
** One Month Later **
âOkay, the bounce house is set up and the petting zoo guy just arrived. Where should he set up?â Penelope asked.
âOn the southeast side!â Dave hollered.
You were setting up the last of the hors dâoeuvres, while the members of both the CCU and BAU helped get Daveâs backyard set up for the kids birthday party. You were so incredibly grateful for this family youâd come to have.
âWeâre here with cake!â Hestia announced.
âHes! Selene! Hey guys, you can set that up on that round table over there.â You pointed.
Selene came over and gave you a hug, you snuck a snack into her hand and nodded over to your bag.
âMy iPad is in there with the Twilight movies all downloaded. Dave has a sitting room down the hall to the right.â You winked at her.
âThanks mom!â Selene said hugging you once more before heading off.
âDo you have another kid I donât know about?â Aaron joked, wrapping his arms around you from behind.
âHa ha! No, Selene just calls me mom. Weâve both taken care of her since their mom passed, but it became an inside joke that I acted as the mom to Nora, Selene and Hestia.â You huffed a laugh.
âItâs true!â Hestia confirmed, before taking a case of juice boxes outside to the cooler.
âYou know, I wouldnât be opposed to it.â Aaron murmured, pressing a kiss to your neck.
âOpposed to what?â You giggled.
âMore kids.â
âAaron! We only just got back together, and we are at our childrenâs birthday party! Behave yourself.â You hissed.
âI know, but this time around, Iâm not letting you go. I plan on marrying you and I just want you to know that Iâm open to more children, one day, when and if youâre ready.â He punctuates it with a kiss to your lips.
âWell, Iâm open to it too. And whenever you ask, my answer is yes Aaron. Youâve proven to me that youâve grown since we ended before and I canât stand the thought of going without you again so, Iâm in this, for as long as youâll have me.â You kissed him once more before carrying a tray outside to the party.
Aaron smiled and grabbed his phone, opening it to check the status of his order. There on his screen was confirmation that your ring had been customized, made, sized, quality checked, and would be shipping out soon.
He couldnât wait to spend forever with you.

Ok thank you and this is all very cool and useful.
I do absolutely wanna use some stuff from dotdd (Iâd also like to play it sometime if I can find the time) - I already know that Iâve heard Oliver and Esther kinda get more of a personality in it which is enough reasoning alone for me but the idea of more characters and luciens diary and Cerboreas having a backstory?? Yeah that definitely sounds cool.
(We kinda already guessed Oliver was lonely, he doesnât really seem to have any friends aside from Phil, and I assume Philâs got his own friends separate to Oliver just cause of the ages they are.)
I will say more drippy is definitely another thing that we also wanna have more of, both more drippy being silly and mean and funny and also more drippy being serious, or talking about Alicia, or being more obvious about the care he and Oliver have for each other. Just more drippy heâs awesome.
(We actually have character focuses for each season (weâve separated it into 4 seasons total) with season 1 Oliver and Drippy, then early season 2 is Esther and late season 2 is Swaine, season 3 is Oliver and Drippy again but now theyâre finding the stones and putting the wand together and we see more of the evolution between them at the start vs now, and then season 4 is pretty much all about Cassiopeia.)
The politics is very interesting, probably not something weâll heavily focus on but I do really wanna include it in some noticeable way.
And yeah this was a very broad question I gave you, I probably will send follow-up asks about more specific stuff (no idea when Iâd send them, this is kinda a longer project me and my sister are doing on and off), but thank you even then cause youâve given some really cool things to think on and figure out despite the massive question this kinda was lol
Hi! Me and my sister have been, kinda as just a fun creative activity, basically making notes and planning out how we would do ni no kuni (specifically white witch cause thatâs all weâve played) if it were a tv show. Weâre changing some stuff, keeping others, expanding on more, etc.. Seeing as you are the no. 1nnk fan on tumblr, I was curious if thereâs any lore or cool things or just anything that you reckon we absolutely gotta keep or do something with. (Also have a lovely day ur delightful)
oh goddd this question is so broad. man. it's a good one though
okay. the thing with a wotww tv show is that of course the viewer does not have the privilege of looking at the wizard's companion which is where a lot of lore is kept. this means i think you should make the small amount of politics surrounding non-magical people that's present in the story rather than in the companion much more prevalent. like obviously swaine is a given but stuff like khulan and kublai's romance being taboo because one is a great sage and one is a non-magical sky pirate. how lucien became shadar because he saw the horrors magic inflicted on society and tried to stop it. my pinned post goes into it in detail if you wanna read it so i won't rehash everything it says
what else. i'm biased but i will always advocate for more drippy content. in the context of a show you have more space for drippy to talk about alicia and have it all come together for the allie reveal to be insane. level 5 missed that opportunity and i will always be upset about it
obviously also expanding on esther and even swaine's backstories. i mean esther doesn't even have one
i recognise that you have only played wotww so i won't go into any of the major differences between it and dotdd but hear me out... i think minor differences in dotdd should be kept because just in general dotdd imo does a lot of things better than wotww. things like yuri (A CHARACTER. YURI AS IN THE CHARACTER'S NAME) on the tombstone trail, cerboreas's dotdd backstory, oliver being a fairly lonely/bullied kid growing up, perdida... and lucien's diary, and everything to do with it. lot of these concepts will be unfamiliar to you so this paragraph is kind of just me spitballing what i would want in a show like this at this point don't take it as me saying you should do this if you don't know what i'm talking about LMAO
umm. this IS a broad question so if you have any specific like. arcs or characters or whatever send me another ask. finally have fun with it and i'd love to see what you have once you're done :] (and thank you for the compliment :])
#For your pleasure if youâre curious Iâm gonna be just sorta giving some one-off fun things weâre doing with it here in the tags#for example: Solomon is now a fairy. Heâs still a bitch of course#and getting the 3 stones for mornstar is now going to parallel the 3 trials in the temple of trials#Weâve decided fairies just sorta Appear from magic rather than getting birthed by the fairy god mother#(but weâre keeping her as a character - just changing it so sheâs just one of the oldest fairies whoâs very embarrassing about them all)#Weâve got the idea of a makeover episode while in Hamelin; where drippy points out Oliverâs been wearing the same things for ages#and Estherâs clothes are built for the desert not autumnia and she needs at least a shawl or something#and swaine is ugly#its silly and itâs fun and more time in Hamelin means more time for swaine to act weird and suspicious and competent#Oh and finally Allie and miss Leila were together#because it just kinda felt like they were anyway and I think it would be nice#NNK rewrite#< thatâs just gonna be my tag I think for organising this when I talk about it. Itâs not really a rewrite but yknow it works

âMY DEAREST FRIEND AND ENEMY. (2/5)
pairing: ona batlle x fem!reader
synopsis: you and ona become much closer, but in the wrong way; an offer on the horizon threatens to tear you apart.
word count: 3.7k
warnings: description of collision in football
PART I, PART III, PART IV, PART V
Sports Illustrated: USWNT International Y/N Y/L/N Scores in First Game Back From Injury âY/N Y/L/N will not stop scoring. The Man City star returns to action with a stunning header in a home game against Everton since picking up an injury this summer in the CONCACAF final against Canada. Though the U.S. emerged victorious thanks to Alex Morganâs penalty kick, Y/L/N was forced off in the 68th minute with a torn hamstring. She was expected to be sidelined for 3 months. [âŠ]â
You skimmed through the article, waiting for your coffee to brew. It has been an arduous few months as you focused on rehabilitation. You were supposed to be match-fit at the start of the season, but the physios determined you needed at least a few more weeks before you could play. Your thigh still felt a bit tight every time you stretched them. Nonetheless, you were back to playing, that was all that mattered.
It was early November, and the winds were picking up in Manchester, and yet you were warm.
âMorning,â you said, smiling at the figure waddling into the living room.
Bratwurst was wagging his tail by her side, no doubt looking for more food as if you hadnât fed him half an hour ago.
âGood morning,â Ona said, rubbing her eyes.
âCoffee?â You nodded towards the machine.
âNo, I have to get to training. Thanks, though.â
âIn my shirt?â You smirked at looked down at her top. Sure enough, it was the old T-shirt you lent her after you were done last night.
âHah hah.â She mocked you, but then took off the shirt, leaving her top half completely bare, and threw it at your face. âObviously not.â
You let your eyes travel freely, as she went back into your room and returned wearing the clothes she came in last night.
âLooks like youâre back to being your insufferable self.â She walked to where you sat, putting on her necklace. âCanât even go on social media without seeing people praising your goal.â
âAll in a dayâs work,â you said, grinning.
Ona rolled her eyes and put on her shoes. âIâm glad youâre back, but I wonât go easy on you.â
You stood up and pecked her lips.
âI never asked you to,â you leaned closer, ducking your face into her neck. âMaybe when weâre alone.â
She snickered quietly and patted your cheek. âTry not to miss me too much. Bye-bye, Bratwurst.â
The pup sat by the door as he watched her close it behind her. Ever since she started spending time at your apartment, it felt like he liked her more, always following her around and snuggling with her as she gave him pets.
Ona had been coming over since the kiss at the end of last season with the premise of meaningless sex. You both had an arrangement, and you were committed to keeping to it. You were surprised when she suggested it, thinking her not to be the type, but Ona continues to surprise you.
You had only meant to meet up over dinner to talk about what happened, but the night ended with her hands tangled in your hair and your legs tangled in her sheets. The ups and downs these past few months never deterred you from seeing each other. In fact, Spain losing out in the Euros prompted her to come over and forget about it for a night. In a way, you both had each other.
Your teammates at Man City were especially amused whenever youâd forget to cover up and come to practice with marks on your neck.
âWhoâs the unlucky gal this time, Y/N?â
âHave you been busy while you were injured?â
Every time, you would just shake your head with a grin because youâd never kiss and tell. Also, because Leila and Laia would flip out if they knew youâd been screwing their teammate on the national team.
Your arrangement worked for a while, both of you still too young and too committed to football to think about anything else. While a lot of your colleagues would disagree, it was the excuse you told yourself to fully admit that what you felt for Ona was beyond just carnal desires.
You were treading on dangerous waters, your feelings bubbling to the surface every time you saw the girl. It was much more challenging to keep them under wraps, especially when you had to play against her every couple of months. From what people knew about you two, you were rivals, and that was your relationship. Rumors of a romance surfaced too, amongst younger fans, but it was the result of baseless shipping. If only they knew.
Ona wasnât an incredibly affectionate person, not by a mile. The only times you would catch her lowering her guard by the tiniest of margins were when she was tired, maybe then sheâd let you cuddle her after sex. But you remembered when Spain was knocked out of the Euros way too soon, and she was crying on the phone to you. You had just won the CONCACAF with the US across the Atlantic, and yet all you wanted was to hold her.
And so that was what you did. Two days later, after you were dismissed from your international duties, you flew back to Manchester and waited for her. Ona liked to be the little spoon whenever she was sad, and you were very happy to oblige. If she was feeling generous, she would even thank you for it. As much as you wanted to, you never teased her about it, because you knew what you had was fragile, and a slight mention of it could topple everything to the ground.
That was how it was with your Spanish beauty.
âWooooooow . . . Youâve got a handful,â said your teammate, Chloe, as she stood in your kitchen, eating your chips.
âYup,â you pressed your lips thinly, grabbing some seasoning from the cupboard. âThatâs my life right now.â
You proceeded to tell Chloe everything one day, omitting a few saucy details, of course.
âHave you tried talking to her about it?â
âThatâs the thing, though. Thereâs nothing to talk about. I canât just walk up to her and demand something that wasnât part of the arrangement to begin with.â
âI know, but itâs clearly affecting you. You like her, donât you?â
âNo.â A few seconds of silence followed, and Chloe was looking at you with a glare. âOkay, I think sheâs cute, like, really cute.â
âI think you should talk to her, Y/N,â Chloe said. âWorst case scenario, you lot stop whatever youâre doing with each other behind all of our backs. Best case scenario, you date her.â
You smirked, but nothing no usual quippy or smug remark came out. âI should try,â you spoke quietly.
Chloe nodded expectantly and continued eating her chips, now. âI canât believe it. You tricked all of us! It was Batlle all this time!â
âI didnât think youâd come tonight,â you whispered quietly into the room, sitting by the edge of your bed.
Ona was under the covers, on her phone. âWhy? âCause we played against each other?â
You nodded bashfully.
âIâm here, arenât I?â she set her phone down. âOr did you not want me to come?â
âItâs a little too late for that, donât you think?â You said, gesturing at the clothes strewn on the floor.
You let her study you for a moment, finding the ruffled sheets much more interesting instead.
âWhatâs wrong?â She said.
âNothing.â
âYouâre too quiet.â Her voice was low and calming. She reached out and caressed your hand. You wanted to bury your face in her neck and be done with the conversation instead.
âI was just wondering . . . would you like to come over a bit earlier from now on?â
Your question made her look at you with a puzzled expression. âHave I been staying too late?â
âNo, no. I meanâyou can stay as late as you want, but come a bit earlier. I can cook for us, and then we can just sit and . . . talk.â
You fumbled with your fingers, your eyes drifting up to her, seeing the realization dawn on her. She exhaled. âOkay, that sounds nice . . . but as friends, right?â
âUm . . . no?â
âY/N,â Ona breathed. Her silence was killing you. Finally, she looked up. âThat wasnât our arrangement, and Iâd like for it to stay as weâve agreed. Youâre okay with that, right?â
âYeah,â you lied, caressing her arm and flashing a smile. âItâs for the best.â
She nodded but watched you closely. âCome here,â she whispered.
You obliged, letting her pull you into her embrace. A searing kiss followed, leaving you to straddle her bare waist.
A short gasp left your lips. âFuck me, Ona.â You pleaded quietly, hoping sheâd fuck you until you forget the conversation ever happened. But you also hoped sheâd go slow and make love to you, proving that sheâd finally reciprocated your feelings.
Youâve decided that you wanted both. Maybe then, youâd finally get what you wanted.
You didnât know that Ona was scared to let you in too, so she settled for sleeping with you.
You had been an obsession of hers for three years, a game she played besides having to focus on the actual game she was paid to play. But now, here she wasâsleeping with someone who could possibly be her mortal enemy. She didnât know when, but suddenly, she couldnât bring herself to see you harmed.
She wanted you, but that was the selfish part of her speaking.
In the morning, you had expected her to be there, but your bedside was empty.
Ona moved through her days like a ghost. She didnât expect it to be this hard three years ago when she first set foot in Manchester. She didnât expect a forward to make her life this hard, or that she would fall in love with you. Every minute she spent tangled up in bed with you were minutes where nothing else outside that bedroom mattered, and it scared her.
It scared her that only you could make her feel that way, that something she had spent so hard working towards for herself, you did so easily for her.
She thinks of the nights after the Euros when she practically stayed over all day, and how you took care of her. She thinks of the cheeky winks you would send her way whenever she played against you, and the not-so-innocent brushes that you sneak in whenever she defended you. She think of your face when she shut you down, and how quickly your walls came back up.
She thinks of you the entire time she was on the Zoom call with her agent.
âYou need to decide soon, Ona,â her agent had told her. âBarcelona doesnât wait for anyone.â
It was a no-brainer, but she thinks of you all the time.
The referee blew the whistle and the 90 minutes were over. You collapsed on your knees as the Etihad erupted into cheers. Man City had reached the semifinals of the Womenâs Champions League for the first time ever in the history of the womenâs club. You would be playing Wolfsburg next, but you couldnât care less about that right then. You just wanted to celebrate with your teammates.
You wished that you could celebrate with Ona too.
You sent her a text much later in the night, but she didnât respond. Thinking it to be too late for her to come over, you went to bed, soaking in your victory.
But then, she didnât respond the next day, then the day after that. A week later, she still hadnât responded. Then the first leg of the semifinal came, and City drew 2-2 to Wolfsburg. You had given her space to deal with whatever she didnât want you to know and knew double-texting made you look desperate, but you have had enough of the silence.
A vote of confidence would have been nice Sent 4:29pm
Nothing.
You werenât going to put your life on hold for her. You wouldnât give her that satisfaction.
The week of the return leg, you had almost forgotten all about Ona from the amount of training you were doing.
âOkay, ladies. Gather around,â said Chris, the assistant coach. âThis will be our last practice session before the Champions League game. Weâre gonna do some passing to start with, then a set-piece practice, and weâll close off with a 5v5 scrimmage. That sound good?â
You were starting to feel more confident than jittery. Your movements were sure and steady, so were your finishes. Big games never deterred you, but it was the added fact of Ona not responding to your text that caused you to check your phone every time you were able to.
âNo phones, Y/N,â Chris said, and raised an eyebrow.
âSorry, Coach. Just checking news from family,â you lied. He extended his hand anyway, and you begrudgingly handed your phone over.
âI canât have you distracted, Y/N. The match is tomorrow.â
âI know, I know. Iâve been good, though, havenât I?â You grinned, taking a swig of water.
Practice ended later than scheduled, but you didnât mind. You needed the extra preparation, and you were glad to have done that with your teammates. Chris finally gave you your phone back, like a naughty student, and you quickly checked your messages. Still nothing. It wasnât like this was the biggest game of your life or anything.
Going to the news, flipping through articles upon articles on politics, your eyes landed on one about sports.
The Busby Babe: Ona Batlle Set For Barcelona Return âManchester United and Spain star right back Ona Batlle is reportedly on the verge of completing a move back to Catalonia, rejoining Barcelona Femeni at the end of her contract with the Red Devils. [âŠ]â
The match of your life started. You were on the left wing as you always were, playing inverted so Laia would be running the flank. You scored one, but Wolfsburg got one back towards the end of the first half.
âMake those runs, ladies. If you see them coming at you, call out to your teammates. Use the third man to break free of the defense.â Gareth pointed at the board, showing hypothetical scenarios that the team could exploit for an opening.
âHey,â Chloe sat next to you, her forehead glistening. âYou alright?â
You uttered a small âyeahâ and closed your hand over her sweat-clad one over your knee. You couldnât be distracted. You owed it to Chloe and everyone else on this team.
You were slamming your fist on the door, but you didnât care. Your jaw clenched as you swayed on your feet waiting for her to open up.
âWhat the fuck, Y/N?!â
âWhy didnât you tell me?â You stepped into her apartment.
Her face went pale. âHow did you know?â
You let out a laugh. âYouâre pathetic. Youâre a coward for not even saying a single word.â
The ball was sent over long from deep aiming towards you. You called for Filippa for a one-two, but once you dribbled, you were tackled inside the box. You put your hand up at the referee but huffed in disbelief when she only shook her head and granted a corner.
Slapping your hand on the grass, you sprung up with a grunt. It must have looked like you were throwing a tantrum, but you couldnât care less, you wanted to win.
âI didnât know how to tell you.â
âSo you were just not gonna say anything at all?! You owe me that much toââ
âI donât owe you anything, Y/N.â She snapped. She had never snapped at you before, not while off the pitch. âYou know what we have is just sex. Thatâs all we ever had and thatâs all we will ever have.â
Tears formed in your eyes. You felt like a kid again, being scolded and taken for granted. âPlease, donât do this.â
âIâm sorry, Y/N, but this isnât some fantasyland,â Ona said firmly. âI told you what I wanted, and I thought you agreed.â
There was a period of struggle over the ball soon after, mostly in midfield. You were growing increasingly frustrated as passes continued being cut off just before they reached the attacking third.
âCome on, guys! Letâs finish this!â You called out to your teammates in an attempt to hype them up before a throw-in.
Your irritation mounted, but you told yourself to quickly snap out of it. I need to stay calm, my team needs me. It proved quite difficult when Lena Oberdorf slithered up from behind to mark you. She dug an elbow into your back to keep you at bay, and when you moved, she moved. So you pushed back, much harder than you anticipated. It set her off. Good, stay off me.
Soon, you heard the refâs hurried whistle, as Lena shoved you back. âThe fuck are you pushing for?!â Your opponent seethed, getting all up in your face to challenge you.
You were feeling bold, so you smirked at her. âCome closer, see what Iâll do. Or do you just want a piece of this, huh?â
It wasnât your best quality, you admitted it, but you liked it when you set off an opponent. You didnât care when Lena was hurling insults at you in German as she was being led away. What mattered was that you had gotten in her head, and it would be much easier to break her defense from now on. The referee blew her whistle again, and a few teammates of yours attempted to separate you from Lena.
âSei ruhig, Mann. Bleibâ da drĂŒben.â Be quiet, man. Stay over there. Waving at her dismissively, you saw the way her eyes looked like they would pop out of her sockets in fury, knowing she didnât expect you to know German. You couldnât help but feel a sick sense of satisfaction.
âLast warning, Y/L/N.â The referee warned before continuing the match.
There would always be one player that completely drove the opposition crazy, and you would gladly be that asshole, so your teammates wouldnât have to. You wanted to win.
âYou kissed me first. I thought . . .â
âPlease, donât make this any harder than it already is,â Ona said quietly.
âI thought we had something, Ona,â you tried to steady your voice. You knew you sounded pathetic, but you never believed Ona could betray you in such a way.
She only pressed her lips thin. âWe donât. The only thing we have is our arrangement and however you feel about me on the pitch.â
Bunny scored in the 75th minute, and that would be the last goal for City in this match. The game went to extra time, and you could feel your teammates getting tired and sloppy in possession. You were tired too, but you wanted to keep fighting, anything to keep the thought of Ona out of your head.
You were so focused on the ball that you didnât see a defender coming up beside you, her body colliding with yours in an attempt to redirect the ball. You fell to the ground with a thud, the stinging impact beginning to spread across your back. You felt the wind getting knocked out of you, your vision beginning to fade until all you could see were the lights atop the stadium, until those faded too.
The next thing you knew, you were on your side. Then the uncomfortable pain in your gut started to become more apparent, and you felt like you couldnât breathe anymore. You gasped for air, just as a couple of your teammates knelt beside you.
âY/N, can you hear me? Medic!â You heard a voice almost like Demiâs call out.
You didnât know who knocked into you, you didnât care anymore, because you had the overwhelming urge to throw up whilst still struggling to breathe.
âCanât . . . breathe,â you wheezed out, tears starting to fill your eyes. You wanted to go home.
One of the medics shone a flashlight in your eyes. âPupils are PEARL,â she said. âOkay, I need you to try and take deep breaths for me, alright, darling?â
You drew a shaky breath. There was a wheezing noise, in and out. In and out. The more you did, the easier it got. Your head was dizzy when you stood up, just as you heard applause ringing throughout the stadium.
Chloe appeared in front of you and offered her arm while a medic took your other as you walked toward the sideline.
âYouâre alright, love,â she flashed you a warm smile and wiped away the stray tear that lingered on your cheek.
It was much too unfortunate, because you still had a lot more to give, but you were done for the night. Gareth knew it too, so he sent Hempo in to take your place.
You finally let the tears fall freely when the final whistle came.
âWhen do you leave?â
âIn two weeks.â
A scornful laugh escaped you that you didnât even bother to hide. âYou didnât even have the decency to tell me, not as your booty call, but as your friend.â
But you were kidding yourself. You knew Ona and you were never friends, never quite lovers either. Only two people floating around in a sexual limbo who were too scared to admit to themselves what was right in front of them. Now she was leaving, and you would never get the chance.
It didnât matter anymore, any of it. You had a Champions League semifinal to play.

the gravity of the air hit you when you were threw up in the air. you were practicing stunts for the upcoming game womens basketball game half time. after a few seconds in the air you landed safely back in your cheermates hands.
when you landed you were greeted by claps which made you turn into the direction of the claps. the loudest were from KK arnold as you turn to the group of girls who were sitting in the bleachers watching you and team practice. you quickly waved at her and your eyes tranced to a brunette girl.
you've seen her before but never spoke to her. your stared at her for a moment, she was laughing at something KK told her. you weren't sure what but you were snapped out of it by your coach.
"alright ladies, great practice today", my coach said as she clapped her hands as a sign to wrap it up. you started grabbing my stuff and headed towards the girls on the bench. you were met by KK and Paige running up to you, pulling you into a huge hug.
as they pulled away KK squealed, "OMGGGG you ate downnn girlll. anywho imma introduce you to the rest of the team." she jumped up and down as she wrapped her arm around you and start walking each girl introducing each one. when she stopped as the last one i looked up met with the familiar brunette.
"so this is Morgan !! she real chill shes just like me!!!", KK said pointing to Morgan then to you. morgan smiled at you then said, "yea its nice to meet you!! heard a lot about you from kk and paige."
you smiled, slightly blushing at the the thought of her getting a earfull about me. you took in the brunette's appearance quickly before KK dragged you off with a O shaped mouth. "girly i know you weren't just checking out Mo", she said shocked.
"i was not !! it was just the first time meeting her y'know i do that to everyone", you said looking around. that part was a bit of a lie but who makes the rules? i quickly waved goodbye to KK and everyone else before heading off to your dorm.
Once you made it to your dorm you got a notification.
*Morgancheli has followed you on all platforms!"
you quickly followed her back on all a bit taken back from it. you decided to go take a shower after a long practice, when you got out and was welcomed by a notification on your phone :
Morgan Cheli :

the two of you continued to talk until you fell asleep. all you could think of was her. you knew yall just met but it was really "love at first sight". these long conversations laster for weeks.
the team knew and had a feeling y'all liked eachother but yall didn't wanna admit it. rather it was unexpected cuddles or before games meet ups, y'all were falling for eachother.
morgan decided to take you to a arcade during her off day from practice. she of course challenged you to every game she saw. y'all ended the hang out (date) at the claw machine.
after two tries she got won you a blue snorlax and you were happy. the two of you were walking back to her car, you were skipping as she was laughing. you stopped skipping infront of the car before you fell.
"so mo.. i have to tell you something", you said turning around to face her looking a little nervous. "yea whats up", she said smiling. "i really like you, like, like like you but its ok if you don't like me back", you said rambling blushing in embarrassment.
she was taken back a bit by your confession, before she could answer some levitated her closer to you. she captured your lips into a kiss before backing up with a smile. "i like you too, your really cute when your nervous", she said smiling
"so will you be my girlfriend", you asked as all the nerves left you. she nodded and the night ended well.

the school/work balance.
shoutout to my music director (aka like...my main teacher i need to get my degree...) for threatening to kick me from his class because of my job.
i work in childcare and have since i was twelve. this upcoming summer will be my last time working there before starting my new job as an assistant music director (still working with kids, but not technically childcare). i love my job dearly and all the parents/kids i work for. so i can't just leave them high and dry.
my director has been pretty accommodating with all of my hospital visits but when it comes to my job...he has a bit more of a tendency to get upset with me. and today he threatened to kick me out of the class because i needed to leave fifteen minutes early. just fifteen minutes.
i get it, i do; he wants me to be present. but i show up to all the important things despite missing out on a rehearsal every now and then. i don't know if it's my new medication or what, but i got seriously upset with him and might have said a few things i shouldn't.
no swearing, but expressing frustrations in a tone that maybe i shouldn't have used. yet still, i don't think that work is any reason to kick me from a class that's required for my degree. i'm so accommodating with his surprise rehearsals and random days that he's not in class; all i wish is that he extended that courtesy to me.
#leila rants#anyways#ilysm <3#like bro what do you mean youre kicking me out#someones gotta watch these kids#i am an adult with an adult life#i get all my work done and stay on top of everything and help whenever i can#so why this? why this threat?#lets not forget the time he denied me my medication!#i literally just had to go grab it out of my purse (whilst on the verge of passing out) and he refused to let me get up#i just left anyway.

10 Things I Hate About You (4) II Alexia Putellas x Reader
Part 1 I Part 2 I Part 3 I Masterlist I word count: 2687
A/N: Thank you so much for over 600 followers ! We hope you enjoy the requested finale of the 10 Things I Hate About You series. â€ïž
Barcelonas next game ended with a 1:0 win against Atletico Madrid. Adrenaline was still rushing through your veins when the referee blew the final whistle while your teammates surrounded you, congratulating you on your goal in the 76th minute.
Alexia and you shared a short smile. You gave her a grateful nod. Her spectacular pass set you up for success. Before you two could exchange words of appreciation, Lieke Martens pointed towards the pitchside where a journalist with a microphone in hand stood; "They want you two to answer the press questions."
You sighed, feeling the manâs attention on you; "Canât we just celebrate our win in peace?" With a shrug, Alexia passed you; "This is our job too." "Plus, it would be boring without the goal scorer.", Mapis voice appeared behind you. Her hands grabbing your shoulders and gently pushing you into the direction of the camera.
Laughing, you held up your hands; "Okay, okay, Iâm coming." Alexia turned back to you with a wink; "Good girl." You caught up with her and bumped your hip against hers; "Do I have to remind you who scored?" "Remind the reporters.", Alexia rolled her eyes with a smile. "Not necessary, I think they saw it.", you whispered as you approached the journalist who beamed at you two.
"Congrats on you win!", he greeted you. You smiled politely; "Thank you." "That was a great win. Must feel good, right?", he grinned. You poked Alexias upper arm with your finger; "Yes but as our captain here loves to remind us all the time, itâs still a long way to go." "It is.", Alexia agreed.
Apparently, she had caught the journalistâs attention; "Alexia, did you enjoy your assist tonight or would you have preferred to score yourself?" "A goal is always great but if the team wins and I made an assist, thatâs okay too.", she replied, the corners of her mouth slightly lifting.
Satisfied with both of your performance, you added; "To be fair, it was great that something from training transferred so well to the match." "We worked hard on our on-field communication.", Alexia nodded.
The face of the journalist lit up with interest; "Could you tell us more about that." "Well, maybe some team events helped with that too.", you laughed, but Alexiasâs face went serious again; "And extra training sessions." "Exactly, but it was worth it." The journalist nodded slowly; "We can see that. What do you expect from the next games?"
"Weâll continue to build on that.", Alexia answered courtly. "And hopefully score a few more goals.", you smirked. Finally, Alexias expression softened; "Itâs your turn for an assist now." "Iâll be ready." "Thank you for your time.", the journalist ended the interview. "Thank you."
Mapi waited for you to right in front of the tunnel; "They couldnât get enough of you two." "It was just a couple questions. Like usual.", Alexia shrugged, walking past Mapi and straight into the dressing room. While Mapi and you followed her, you explained; "Honestly, it was nothing special, Mapi."
âSure.â, the defender shrugged. Annoyed with your teammate Alexia demanded from the younger player: âMaps, stop looking at us like that.â âFine, is like that better.â, Mapi grimaced. The midfielder shook her head in amusement: âNo.â âYouâre no fun.â, the defender sighed dramatically.
You winced when Leila suddenly stepped from the dark to the light parts of the tunnel, wearing a bright grin on her face:â Oh Ale had fun during the interview though.â âYou two are so annoying.â, Alexia stated.
A devilish smile appeared on Mapis lips: âYou know whatâs more annoying?â âThat we paused the celebrations for that unnecessary conversation?â, you asked her. Teasingly your captain added: âThat you talk too much?â âNow but youâll realize that in time.â, the blonde defender promised. Immediately Alexia gave her a frowning look:âWhat?â
âMapi, you played great.â, your sister exclaimed cheerfully. The cheeks of Mapi were turning red because of her compliment. Even though you secretly thought they would make an adorable couple you couldnât help but saying out loud:â Mapi, comes first, huh?â
âSorry, you played great too.â, she answered blushing. Now it was Alexia who assisted your sister instead of you with reassuring her: Â âIgnore her, your sister casually wants to remind everyone who scored the important goal tonight.â âNot true!â, you playfully hit her arm.
Innocently your sibling looked between you two:â She couldnât have done it without that fantastic assist.â âThatâs true.â, you had to admit this much. Was that gratefulness in Alexias eyes, it must have been when she whispered: âThank you.â
Something between your captain and you had change, and it wasnât solely because you won that game. But you were too scared to further think about what the change was and what it exactly meant for the both of you.
You could hear your sister speaking softly to your teammate:â Mapi, I canât believe they manage to talk like normal people now.â âWait for it.â, louder Mapi continued, turning her heads toward the older player, Ale can you believe it? She has not seen the coast outside of Barcelona yet?!â âYou havenât?!â, Alexiaâs shock was written all over her face.
Nervously you put a loose hair string behind your ear: âNo, I havenât found the time for that yet.â âHow long have you been here now? Do you only play football and sleep?â, your captain pressed on. Her fury caught you off guard. She was the one in the team whose life was centred around football the most. âA few months. And no, I go to the university too.â âStill. You havenât seen anything of Barcelona yet.â, Alexia muttered in disbelief. Â
Quite offended by her reaction you tried to defend yourself:âI saw the city.â âThe touristy spots, right.â, she shot back, letting you almost no time to breath. Looking at her was enough to continue to rant:â Knew it. Be ready tomorrow morning. Iâll pick you up before sunrise.â âOkay, captain.â, you replied too stunned in what direction your conversation went. Satisfied Alexia nodded:â Good.â
She already turned away from you to leave when you finally were able to gather your thoughts again; "Will Nala join us?" "Seriously?", Alexia replied, more annoyed than surprised. You shrugged with an innocent grin; "Just asking.""At this point, I think you like the dog more than me.", she rolled her eyes but couldnât hide her amusement.
"PossibleâŠ" "Wow." "Iâm just joking⊠With your dog, I canât play like we did today.", you joked. Alexia tilted her head in thought before turning away from you again; "Probably not. Iâll see you tomorrow⊠with Nala." She smiled at you over her shoulder and left.
When Alexia arrived at your apartment the next morning, it was dark still dark outside. Yawning, you opened the door for her. For a second, you stopped mid-yawn. She looked so put together for that time of day. "Morning.", she greeted you. You stepped aside to let her in.
"Morning. Itâs still so early so I made us two coffees to go.", you replied and led her into your kitchen where you handed her a to-go cup. Gratefully, she took it but her gaze was fixed on you; "Thanks. UhmâŠ" "Yes?", you prompted her to go on.
She cleared her throat; "You might want to put on something other than your PJ pants." She took a sip of her coffee, but you caught her smiling smugly into her cup before you looked down, only to find that you were still in your plaid flannel pants. "Oh my god. Wait right here, Iâll be back in a minute.", you laughed about yourself and disappeared into your bedroom to change.
While you slipped into a pair of soft cotton pants, your eyes met Alexias in the mirror. You must have forgotten to close the bedroom door. "Stop staring.", you grinned. Your teammate hid another smile in her coffee; "Iâm not." "Sure, Alexia. Iâm ready, we can go.", you replied with a smirk, taking your own coffee and your bag. "Finally. We canât miss the sunrise."
You followed her to her car. It was too early still, so you both were silent for most of the ride. Only the radio was playing quietly. Alexia parked close to a beach just as the first rays of sunlight came up. The beach was completely empty. You both sat down in the cold sand and watched in awe.
"This is beautiful.", you whispered. Alexia smiled to herself; "I told you, you canât miss this." "Thank you for taking me here." "Youâre welcome, really." You looked at Alexia. The morning light painted her in a golden glow, and you couldnât help but stare. "Maybe there is more than just uni, football and sleep.", you admitted. Alexia nodded; "There is. Trust me."
You closed your eyes letting the sound of the waves wash over you:â Like moments like these. I wish one could collect them into a jar and when one has a bad day or time you could open it and feel the joy from that day again.â Memories of the times you were injured came back to the surface level of your mind.
With a free hand you let the sand rinse through your fingers to distract yourself from those images. Â âBut if you could go back to this moment all the time.. would you not lose the joy of this moment?â, Alexia asked you carefully. âIâve not thought about that yet but youâre probably right it would lose what made the moment special in the first place.â
With a serious smile the midfielder confessed: âIt would. I like coming here in the morning when no oneâs here yet.â âI can see why.â, you told her. Almost shy, Alexia turned her face back to the water: âItâs nice and quiet.â There was something between you that clearly wasnât there before. Her grin deepened while she added:â Well, usually. When Iâm alone with Nala.â âOh, trust me I can do quiet too.â, you announced as you pulled out the book of your bag which you were currently reading.
Your teammate shook her head slightly:â You know I was just joking, right? But itâs so cool, you look so at peace right now.â âThatâs because I am if there was not a voice interrupting my peace.â, you teased her, in the meantime Narla took refuge in your lap. Â Your comment earnt you an eyeroll by your captain: âSorry.â
Even in her annoyance you had to admit that she looked beautiful as the sun made her skin appear golden. âWait, you look so pretty in that light.â, you exclaimed before taking a photo of her. A surprised laugh escaped Alexiaâs mouth: âWhat are you doing?â
âTaking a picture of you because you looked quite happy, so I tried to capture that on camera.â, you stammered. Â With a stern look on the midfielderâs face, she urged you: âGive me the camera.â
âOkay.â, you handed her your camera, it was one of the thingâs you treasured most as it reminded you of the parent you had lost and shared that passion with.  Your teammate seemed satisfied with that object in her hands: âThanks.â
So, you continued reading your book peacefully, during the reading you somehow managed to steal your captains green cap but she was too immersed in taking pictures of you.
You both enjoyed the silence of the early morning and each others company. But with the time passing, the beach started to fill. With a sigh, you closed your book and looked up to Alexia; "Do you think we should head back? Itâs getting crowded." "Yes, letâs leave.", Alexia agreed, stood up and brushed the sand off her jeans. You put your book back into your bag anf followed suit; "Alright."
"Come on, Narla!", Alexia called her dog and you three walked back towards her car. You watched the landscape pass on your way home but with each passing minute, you could feel your eyes closing. You didnât even realize you fell asleep until Alexia stopped her car in front of your building. "Weâre already there?", you yawned.
"Yes. But you donât have to get out yet. I can drive around the block for a little longer.", Alexia suggested. You were taken aback by the thoughtfulness. "I want to stay for a little while longer if thatâs okay.", you admitted, your cheeks turning slightly red. Alexia smiled softly and started her car again; "Alright. Go back to sleep then."
Narla cuddled onto your lap and her warmth made you immediately fall asleep again. When you woke up again, you realized that only a few minutes must have passed. The sun was still high up in the sky and you were still driving through your neighborhood.
Once again, Alexia stopped in front of your appartment. You turned towards Alexia; "Thank you for the day. I really enjoyed it." "Me too.", she replied. You leaned forward to kiss her on the cheek; "So, Iâll see you in training tomorrow?" A light blush spread across Alexias face; "Uhm⊠yes, sure." Smiling, you got out of her car; "Perfect."
Before you could open your front door, you paused on the sidewalk as you realized you were still wearing Alexias green cap. At the same time, Alexia opened her car window; "Hey?" "Yes?", you turned around. She nodded towards your head; "You should keep it. It looks cute on you." "Thanks.", you absentmindedly touched the cap. "Wait.", Alexia called again while getting out of her car and crossing the distance between you two. "Huh?", you asked before her lips were suddenly on your lips.
You stared at her; "Wait, what was that?" "I donât know.", she answered truthfully, obviously confused herself. You grabbed her by the wrist; "No, do it again please." "You donât have to tell me twice." A smile appeared on Alexias face. She kissed you again. This time, more patiently but just as hungry.
A loud squeal came from Mapiâs mouth when she spotted you wearing Alexiaâs cap right before your team training was about to start: âOh my god!â âMapi, itâs not a big deal.â, the captain reassured the defender who was beaming at your sight. Amused you added: âHonestly, calm down, Mapi.â
âDonât tell me youâre dating.â, your teammate almost screamed excitedly. âWell, I hate to say it, but we donât hate each other anymore.â, you winked at her. Â Cheerfully Mapi pulled out her smartphone from her pocket:âSo thatâs a yes! Iâll have to call your sister.â
âAbout damn time you call her, while youâre at It you should tell her that you would love to go on a date with her Mapi!â, Alexia suggested grinning. Inspired by what she saw the younger player nodded: âYou know what? Maybe I will.â âDonât worry, sheâll say yes.â, you encouraged her. With a cheeky smile she asked:â Like you did to Ale?â
âYes.â, you replied, placing a kiss on Alexias lips, making her blush in front of all your teammates. But the midfielder didnât mind, she pulled you even closer, kissing you hungrily like she was starving before.
2023
Without a knock Mapi stormed into your hotelroom giving you each a scolding look:â You two should be asleep now.â âMapi!â, Alexia frowned at her. The defender ignored her and clicked with her tongue:â Did you got lost in telling you love story again? Donât worry I can tell that in my best woman speech for your wedding.â
âWho said youâll be the best woman?â, the midfielder looked challenging at her. Playfully offended the younger player stopped moving:Â âIâm not!?â Â âOf course, youâre.â, Alexia answered laughing. âWell, I hope so!â
Softly you continued the captainâs sentence:â We know what you did to make us realize that we fell for each other.â Satisfied with that you went on to talk for a couple of minutes before she went to her room with Ingrid.
You secretly even worked on a sonnet for your wedding day, writing all the things you once claimed to hate about Alexia but actually you didnât because these were parts of her you came to love.

Mockingjay - Part 3
Hi guys :)
Chapter 3 is here!
I'm sorry if there is some part for the Games who isn't translated correctly, but like I already said English isn't my first language and I only watched the movies or read the book in my native language.
I hope you will like it, please let me know â„
Chapter before
Ona is nervous. Sheâs walking around in the room where Leila and his assistant have dressed and prepared her for the interview who will be aired everywhere in Panem. She hates the wait before something big, sheâs really stressed about this interview too, but she hates that she has to wait before going to sit in that damn chair.
They are passing by District and the only moment when she stops walking in the room was when she saw Lucy. Sheâs wearing a beautiful green dress, and she looks perfect. Her hair, her smile⊠Everything in her is perfect.
Lucy talked about her life in the 4, her family and her brother who won her edition of the Games. Ona is like captivated by Lucy, so much that she doesnât hear Alexia entering the room. The blonde looks at Ona with amusement for some seconds, arms crossed on her chest before talking softly, not wanting to scare the younger one.
âWe have to do something about your crush.â
Even with Alexiaâs precautions, Ona almost jumps out of her skin. She turns to Alexia, frowning, a hand on her heart.
âAre you trying to kill me before the Games?â
âNoâ Alexia chuckles.
She comes in front of Ona to put in place some hair behind her ear.
âYou look beautiful, as alwaysâ Alexia smiles at her. âSo, it was Lucy Bronze you were looking at, all this time?â
âStop itâ Ona mumbles with red cheeks.
âWhy? Itâs cuteâ Alexia says with a teasing smile. âPlus, you have good tastes. She looks amazing.â
âShe doesâ Ona says thoughtfully, looking at the screen again.
But they passed to someone else, and she frowns while looking at the boy from the 5 talking about his qualities. Ona turns her gaze quickly now, looking at Alexia again.
âWhat does your girlfriend look like?â the brunette asks with curiosity.
âSheâs smaller than me. Brown hair, brown eyes⊠And the most beautiful smile in Panem.â
Ona smiles softly. The way Alexia smiles when she talks about her girlfriend is really cute. Ona never asked her about her name, Alexia seems at ease with her relationship, but Ona doesnât know how much she is. Homosexuality isnât a thing a lot of people like, at least in the different Districts. It looks like itâs not so bad in the Capitol though.
âI think she would have loved you a lot tooâ Alexia adds, before looking at her watch. âWe have to go now, or you will be late.â
Ona nods and lets Alexia pass a friendly arm around her shoulder, taking extra care not to wrinkle her clothes. Onaâs mind goes to Lucy one more time. They havenât really talked since the day Lucy takes her to her quarters. They only smile at each other when they cross eyes, both not wanting for their partner not to mingle in their relationship. It isnât even a friendship, but Ona feels her heart flutter every time.
âI know the situation isnât ideal, but you still can try to get closer to her, no?â
âHow?â Ona snorts. âHave you seen her? She exceptional and I donât even know if sheâs interested in girlsâ
âYeah, Iâve seen her. And I see you too. You are pretty amazing yourself you know?â
Ona rolls her eyes and doesn't answer anything. In her eyes, Alexia isnât impartial. The blonde doesnât add anything, letting Onaâs mind go in what she just said. Once again, Tony is already here when Ona arrives, heâs waiting with one of Leila's assistants. Once again, Leila made her magic work.
âAlright, I have to goâ Alexia says to Ona. âIâll be in the public, if you are stressed or scared, just focus on me, ok?â
Ona nods softly, ignoring the others' gaze on them. Alexia smiles at her and hugs her.
âYou will be great. Donât be scared of being yourself. People will love you.â
Ona smiles softly at her and takes a big breath when she finds herself alone with Tony. The boy seems to be a little anxious too. He was a little resentful towards Ona after she chose not to come with him for training, but Ona decided to ignore it. He comes back to her very quickly anyway.
Tony is the first to pass, of course. They always present the boy first; Ona doesnât really understand why. She was hoping to cross Lucyâs path after her interview, but it looks like the people who have already done the interview leave by another door. Tony seems to handle the interview pretty easily; he doesnât seem stressed at all suddenly. Good for him, Ona thinks.
Some minutes later, it was her turn. Ona takes a big breath when the presenter calls her name. During her walk to the couch in the middle of the television set, Ona tries to spot Alexia in the crowd. She finally sees her just before being in front of the presenter, sitting next to Leila. Alexia winks at her and Ona greets the presenter with one of her brightest smiles. Itâs now or never.
âOna! Itâs so nice to finally meet you!â
The presenter has bright but deep blue eyes in a banana hairstyle. Heâs wearing make-up, like every single person in the Capitol after all. Ona asked Leila not to paint her face with make-up, sheâs wearing some but not too much. Itâs pretty simple. She likes it.
She has a small chat about her life in District 8, her family and her friends. She tensed a little bit when she heard him asking the next question.
âSo⊠There is a question everyone here is asking themselves⊠You are talking a lot about your parents and your brother, but not about someone waiting for you in District 8. Arenât you in a relationship?â
âNoâ Ona answer softly. âIâm single.â
âWith a pretty face like you? I canât believe it.â
Onaâs eyes went to Alexia, who nods almost imperceptibly at her. Ona swallows her saliva with a little difficulty.
âI had someone, some months ago. It was my first relationship and my first love.â
âWhat happened to him?â
The presenter seems really interested in what Ona has to say. He looks a little like an uncle who wants to hear all of your secrets.
âTo herâ Ona corrects gently.
âOh, her. Sorry.â
He smiles at her, urging her to continue her confidences. Well, if we can call that confidences if thousands of people are listening to her.
âTwo years ago, her name was raffled for the Games. She died in the arena here, in the Capitol.â
There is a beam of silence, no one was expecting this revelation. Ona looks one more time to Alexia, who is still looking right at her. They donât look at each other for too long though, with professionalism, the presenter finally starts to talk again.
âIf I remember correctly, the female tribute of the 8, two years ago, was Jana.â
âYeah. It was her.â
âAnd what is your feeling about you being where she was? Do you want to take revenge for her?â
âNoâ Ona shakes her, softly frowning. âIt would be useless; the same people arenât here, and they only did what they had to do to survive. Jana⊠She was a dreamer, the sweetest and softest girl ever. She was my sunshine back to the 8. I still think about her every day.â
Ona looks at the hand the presenter puts in her arm, in a soft gesture probably to give her some reconfort. Is it fake or is it real? Ona doesnât really know.
âDo you have something material in memory from her?â
âNot hereâ Ona shakes her head one more time. âI left everything in District 8. I thought it would be better for our parents to have them.â
The presenter smiles at her, with the same friendly uncle look as earlier.
âItâs very thoughtful of you. But I know that Capital keeps some things belonging to the Tributes for several years after they come here. Would you want me to find something for you?â
âIt would be amazingâ Ona smiles.
Her heart beat a little faster at that idea. She canât say that sheâs still in love with Jana, it would be weird. Jana is dead, she isnât here anymore. But it doesnât stop Ona to think about it every day anyway.
âI promise I will do everything to do it.â
âThank you very much.â Ona gives him a new bright smile.
Sheâs touched, which is probably stupid from her. She doesnât know if itâs just television and show. She probably wonât see something belonging to Jana, but she likes the idea.
They hug when itâs time for Ona to finish the interview and she greets the crowd with a wave before going behind the curtains once again. She breathes with relief there, feeling relieved and exhausted at the same time. Tony isnât here anymore, and Ona follows slowly the floor before facing a door. She doesnât have to open it, someone does it for her.
Two Peacekeepers frame her immediately, taking her in the room she was waiting before coming on set. There, she sits down on the couch, waiting for something. She doesnât know what, the Peacekeepers haven't said anything to her before leaving.
Alexia will come for her some minutes later, hugging her at length before taking her back to their quarters.
********
Several hours later, after tossing and turning for hours in her bed, Ona decides to get out of her room. She tried to take another shower, but it didn't work. Even the âteaâ they give the Tributes to help them sleep isnât working.
She puts a short and a hoodie on her underwear and slides her feet in the tap shoes lent by the Capitol. She needs to breathe some fresh air, she almost hasnât since she came here a week ago. There is a place called a garden, which is in fact more like a patio. She went there several times with Alexia or Tony, but they only are allowed twenty minutes per day.
They arenât authorized to leave their quarters during the night, but she still can pretend to have a panic attack if someone catches her. It wouldnât be totally wrong though; Ona is pretty sure that her troubles to breathe right now are linked to her difficulty to sleep. In District 8 the air wasnât maybe very healthy, but she still can breathe fresh air every day.
That patio being in the seven floors, Ona chooses to take the stairs to go there. Like this, she wonât take the risk to wake someone up. She doesnât see anyone during her walk to the garden, and sheâs relieved to see that there is no one here.
Sighing softly, she lies down on one of the deck chairs here. The sky is dark and the more she looks, the more sheâs able to watch more stars.
She doesnât know how much time she stays there, finally feeling her breathing becoming calmer and deeper. She feels better now.
Until she hears some noise coming from behind her and the characteristic sound of an automatic door opening. Ona doesnât have time to hide, she just has time to turn to face the person coming for her. She was waiting to see a Peacekeeper ready to beat her, but no.
Itâs Lucy, who seems scared to face someone here, before realizing that itâs Ona.
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â Lucy whispers.
âAnd you?â Ona whispers back.
Lucy's eyes are scanning the place, probably looking for someone else. But there isnât anyone here, Ona could have said it to Lucy.
âI couldnât sleepâ Lucy finally says.
âMe neitherâ
They look at each other before Lucy sighs and sits in another deck chair. Sheâs wearing a grey flannel ensemble with the hood on her head.
âWhy canât you sleep?â Ona asks casually.
It wasnât probably the question you ask the crush you almost never talked to, but she does it anyway. Lucy seems surprised by the question of Ona, raising her gaze on her. Just when Ona was saying that she can not answer her question, Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
âI donât know. I was thinking a lot about the trainings, the shows⊠Everything we went through since we are here.â
Ona nods, understanding perfectly. She doesnât know how things go for the other Tributes and the other Districts. She has a great team around her, protecting her as much as they can. Sheâs not to be pitied, but it doesnât mean that the traumatism isnât here. Sheâs preparing for her own death. Itâs a strange feeling.
âI saw your interviewâ Lucy suddenly says. âIt was⊠It touched me.â
Itâs Ona turns to raise her gaze on Lucy. She looks at her eyes for some seconds, before shrugging softly.
âThanks. It was probably the last time I would be able to honor her.â
âSheâs lucky.â
âLucky?â
Onaâs frowning. She doesnât understand why Lucy might be thinking that, especially knowing the way Jana died.
âTo have her memory kept alive by someone like you. People here in the Capitol or in the career District forget the dead Tributes very quickly. It wonât hurt to have someone talking about someone who was here several years ago, just remembering them to people.â
Ona nods, finally understanding what Lucy wants to say. She might admit that she was a little mad about that comment, before Lucy can explain herself. She lets her body relax in understanding, looking at the sky again.
âWere your parents okay with your relationship?â Lucy asks softly.
Ona keeps looking at the stars for several seconds, before looking at Lucy again. It seems like Lucy realized the indiscretion of her question when Ona and her cross their gazes.
âOh. Iâm sorry if it was too straight-forward, of course you donât need to answer that questionâ Lucy blunders, and this is the first time Ona sees her uncomfortable. âItâs just like⊠I donât know, I feel like we are old friends or something. Iâm sorry it was stupid of me.â
Trying to ignore the pleasant warmth in her body when she hears Lucy, Ona decides to get her out of her misery pretty quickly. They arenât talking a lot; this encounter wasnât even planned at all. Itâs the first time they are talking alone like this. She doesnât want Lucy to feel uncomfortable.
âI donât mind your questionâ Ona assures her.
If they were next to each other, she would probably have put her hand on her leg to support her words. But Lucy is too far from her.
âThey knew about Jana and me, and they were okâ Ona begins, smiling softly when she remembers some scene. âJana and I knew each other from when we were little. I donât know when things changed or if it was always here. But one day at dinner, my Mom just asked me if Jana was my friend or my girlfriend. I answer that it was my girlfriend, and they just go with it. They never made a big thing with it.â
Lucy nods softly, lost in her thoughts.
âItâs maybe the healthier way to go with itâ she says slowly.
âI think so too. I feel like I could have come home with a boy or a girl and they wouldnât mind. At least I was with someone, not like my brotherâ Ona rolls her eyes.
âThere is a story behind thatâ Lucy smirks.
Ona laughs softly, shaking her head softly. Lucy was right, this conversation feels like they know each other for years, not only several days. She likes this feeling.
âHim and my best friend have always been in love, I think. They are both too stubborn to see it or maybe they donât want to do anything because of me, I donât know. But itâs really painful to watch.â
Lucy smiles at Onaâs rumble, not seeming to mind at all. She has a small smile and some tenderness in her face while looking at Ona. The younger one realizes it and is distracted about it for some seconds, before asking a question too.
âAnd you? What about your friends and family?â
âWellâŠâ
Lucy opens her mouth to talk, but quickly closes her when they both hear a noise coming from the floor. They both turn in the direction, Lucy even getting up a little.
"Did you take the lift to come here?â Lucy whispers.
âNo, I took the stairs. I didnât want for anyone to hear meâ Ona whispers back.
Finally, there isnât another noise or someone coming. But there is a tension that wasnât here before. Lucy finally turns in Onaâs direction, looking hesitant.
âMaybe we should go back to our room.â
âI think youâre rightâ
Ona sighs a little when she gets up from her chair, looking one last time at the stars. She smiles at Lucy when the girl lets her pass before her, turning in her direction when they are at the stairs. Lucy must go down while she has to go up.
âIt was nice, talking to youâ Ona mumbles, blushing softly.
âIt wasâ Lucy confirms with a smirk. âSee you tomorrow?â
âYeah. See you tomorrow.â
With a wink, Lucy left her to go on the stairs. Ona watches her before going back to her room. She manages to sneak inside before being caught by anyone. Her bed is warm after the cold outside, and the feeling is amazing. She canât stop smiling, thinking about her moment with Lucy. Her crush wonât probably pass soon, but she doesnât mind. Lucy seems to be a very nice girl, not only a pretty face. And a hot body.
********
The training goes pretty great. Alexia is able to come to see them trains from time to time and is able to see what their qualities are. For Ona, she realizes that she has a big facility for climbing. Her small body is still strong and agile, and she doesn't have trouble passing from one place to another.
So, for her showcase, Alexia proposed to her to impress the jury with that. They designed a parkour with trees that Ona crossed in a record time. For fun, some members of the jury tried it, just to see they are way slower than Ona. They give her a 7 for that. Tony got an 8, just like Lucy. Those are pretty good notes.
But itâs not what filled Ona with happiness those past days. After her encounter with Lucy in the âgardenâ, she decides to go back the night before. Lucy was already there, waiting for her like it was planned for them to meet again.
They talk a lot here, about anything and everything. The training, their Partner, their team or what is on their mind at the time. Ona loves those moments together and how they are getting close to each other. They both decided to hide their friendship though, not wanting to become a target for the other tributes.
On the four nights, they are even on the same desk chair, partially hidden by a big flower box and a massive palm tree.
âYou look tired tonightâ Lucy says.
They already are here for one hour, talking about the food from home they are missing for the last ten minutes.
âI am. I usually sleep more than thatâ Ona admits.
âWe can raincheck for tomorrow if you preferâ
Something in Lucyâs voice might make her think that Lucy doesnât like that idea, but it bothers Ona to imagine wasting some time alone with Lucy.
âNo. I like those momentsâ Ona frowns, looking at the older girl. âThose are the moments I love the most during my dayâ
Lucy giggles softly, rolling her eyes.
âI would be sad if you would rather fight than see me.â
Ona smiles only, looking at the stars again. With time, she learned that Lucy knows almost all the stars and constellations. Her grandfather told her when she was younger, he was a fishman and used the sky to go home at night with his boat. Itâs almost the only things Lucy told her about her family, but Ona never pushed her to talk about them. She knows that it might hide something, and she doesnât want to make Lucy uncomfortable.
âI heard that they let us call someone from homeâ Lucy whispers after some minutes of silence.
âWhat?â Ona says, her heart beating faster. âHow do you know that?â
âIâve got my sources.â
âWill it be filmed?â
âI think, they donât have any advantage to offer that otherwise.â
Ona stays silent, thinking of who she would call. She thought about her parents and brother, of course. Her brother might be a good call, he probably could give her some advice. But hearing her motherâs voice for the last time is something she wants too. But on the other hand, she doesnât want to choose between her parents, she feels like itâs unfair for her dad.
âWho would you call?â Ona asks Lucy.
The older girl stays silenced, looking at the stars. Ona almost believes that Lucy hasnât heard her and was about to ask her question again, just when Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
âI donât know. Maybe my brother.â
She seems sad with this answer. Ona frowns, turning on her side to have a better look at Lucy. The moon makes her face shine softly, just like her beautiful eyes. Ona feels like she can look at her all day without being tired of it. But she knows she has to be discreet not to pass for a creep.
âAnd you?â
Lucy gives her the question back, which isnât surprising. Ona frowns softly trying to figure out her different possibilities.
âMaybe my best friendâ Ona finally answers.
Lucy hums softly, still looking at the stars. Ona takes advantage of it to keep looking at her. She tries to oblige her eyes not to fall too long and too often on Lucyâs lips. Her crush gets stronger every day and she doesnât know how long she can keep it under control.
âYou seem sadâ Ona finally says.
It strangely makes Lucy smile and she turns her head towards Ona. She seems to realize only now how close they are from each other.
âMy family is a little bit complicated, thatâs all. Donât worry about me.â
Ona frowns once again, keep looking at Lucy. She has gained a little confidence since she and Lucy started hanging out together.
âWould you listen to me if I told you something like that?â
âProbably notâ Lucy laughs softly.
Ona doesnât answer anything, she just raises both of her eyebrows and turns her head to look at the sky again. Itâs a nice day today, the sky is clear. Yesterday they werenât able to see any of the stars.
âDo you find it strange? That we get along so well considering the circumstances?â Ona asks suddenly.
âNo. I think weâll get along too if we have met somewhere else. Or in another lifeâŠâ
âIn another lifeâŠâ Ona repeat for herself.
She feels sad, suddenly. She hasnât felt that way since the beginning and she has trouble explaining this sudden wave of feeling. It is almost intoxicating and like this other day in the car, she has trouble breathing correctly. She tries to settle her breathing not to alert Lucy.
âHey, are you ok?â
Try again, Ona.
She nods, but despite that, Lucy stands a little on the chair, not to be lying anymore. She sits and faces Ona, putting a hand on her stomach. Ona feels shivers despite herself, and she almost hates her body to react that way while sheâs not far from a panic attack.
âLook at meâ Lucy says softly. âAnd breathe with me.â
She takes Onaâs hand with the one she hasnât on her stomach, just to put it on her stomach too. Looking deep in Lucyâs eyes, Ona finally manages to breathe normally again after several minutes.
âYouâre okayâ Lucy keeps repeating.
Itâs not totally true, but Ona doesnât answer anything. Right now, with Lucy, she is ok. She feels safe. She has to focus on this.
âThanksâ Ona finally whispers.
âAnytime.â
There is a sincerity behind Lucyâs words which can seem strange because of their situation. But Ona wants to believe her.
They look at each other for several times, before Lucy opens her mouth to say something.
âOna, I- â
Sheâs cute by a big noise, making both of them jump in the air. They both know that it sounds like the end of their meeting for tonight.
âWe better goâ Lucy says.
Ona groans for any answer, sitting on the chair too. She doesnât want to, but she knows itâs better for them. Once again, they wonât do anything to them here, but they can easily make things look like an accident.
âIâm going firstâ Lucy decides.
Ona nods and sighs, standing up too. She watches when Lucy turns around to look at her again and froze when the dark-haired girl leans on her to put a kiss on her cheek. Pretty close from her lips.
âSee you tomorrow nightâ
And then, sheâs not here anymore. Ona needs several seconds to come back to reality and finally leave the garden too. She goes to her quarter silently, lost in her thoughts. She wasnât expecting to see someone in her bedroom when she arrives, so much that she misses the silhouette of the person here.
âWhere the fuck were you?!â
Ona jumps out of her skin and jumps so much that she knocks her head against the door of the room. The lights go on and Alexia is standing in the middle of the room, arm crossed and a very angry expression on her face.
âWhen Tony told me that you were leaving your room in the middle of the night, I didnât want to believe him. I told myself that you werenât this stupid and unconscious. You better have to have a good explanation, Ona.â
Tony. Of course he will open his damn mouth. And how does he know that Ona was leaving her room? Thatâs pretty strange in Onaâs opinion.
âHow does he know that?â Ona frowns.
âThat wasnât my point here.â
Alexia seems really furious. Ona swallows her saliva with difficulty and shrugs, suddenly not able to look at her Mentor. Sheâs not screaming but sheâs talking so coldly that Ona would have preferred the first possibility.
âIâm fighting for you, Ona. I try to make you look good for sponsors and attract good attention to you. But if people learn that you donât comply with the rules here, you are a lost case. We donât laugh with rules in the Capitol. If you do bad things, itâs not only you who will have something to repair, but your family too. And if they know I protected you, they will go for my family.â
It suddenly attracts Onaâs attention again. She never thought that they could go after her family for something she did. Sheâs suddenly scared, and Alexia is probably easily seeing that on her face.
âPlease, donât say anything to the Leaders.â
âIâm asking you one last time, Ona. Where were you?â
Ona bites her lip. She doesnât want to drag Lucy into her problems. She canât believe that Tony snitched like this.
âI was in the garden. Itâs where I goâ Ona finally answers.
âAlone?â
There is another silence, while Ona thinks again about telling the truth or not. She doesnât want to lose Alexiaâs trust, but she cares so much for Lucy.
âI donât want her to have any problemâ Ona finally whispers.
âI wonât tell anyoneâ Alexia says.
Still chewing her lip, Ona raises her eyes again on Alexia. She wasnât able to realize it, but Alexiaâs gaze softened those last seconds. She seems happy to hear the truth and Ona saying it. Maybe Alexia already knows everything.
âI was with Lucyâ
Alexia looks at her for several seconds and sighs finally, before pinching her nose.
âTeenagersâ she grumbles before looking at Ona again. âGo to bed.â
She passes next to Ona to leave the room. Ona feels uneasy. She hates conflict, fights and arguments. She hates the fact that Alexia might be disappointed about her, or even upset.
âAlexiaâŠâ
The blonde was closing the door behind her but still slid her head through the gap of the door. She looks at Ona with her hazel eyes and Ona has trouble looking at her while talking. But she still does.
âIâm sorry. For disappointing you and making you mad at me.â
Alexia seems to soften finally completely and comes into the room again. She takes the time to close the door again before talking.
âIâm not disappointed in you, Ona. But between you and Tony, you are my favorite from far away. I would be mad if you get yourself in trouble because you go flirting with another Tribute at night. You have to be careful about yourself.â
Ona nods once again and is surprised when Alexia hugs her. She hugs her back, her nose somewhere on the other girlâs shoulder.
âBe careful with Tony, okay? I donât like his comportment with you.â
âHow does he know that Iâm leaving at night?â Ona asks again.
Alexia sighs and lets go of Ona before answering.
âHe said he was hungry and wanted something to eat when he saw you leaving. I really want to believe him. If itâs not that, heâs spying on you and itâs really disturbing.â
It is. Ona feels her stomach twist in a way that is everything but good. Why in the world would he spying on her? To know what sheâs doing? Or is he spying on her for someone else?
âDonât worry. Iâll have an eye on him, ok? Now try to sleep, you still have training tomorrow.â
âYeah. Thank you.â
Alexia smiles softly and leaves the room for good this time. After a quick shower, Ona goes to bed. Once again, her mind is full, between Alexiaâs revelations and what happened with Lucy in the garden.
Sure, it was just a kiss on the cheek. But she canât forget the feeling she got when Lucyâs lips were on her skin. The perfection of her smell, the softness of Lucyâs lips. Sheâs smiling like a fool when she finally manages to fall asleep, not wanting to consider for now if she will be able to see Lucy at night again. Maybe theyâll find another way to be together. They have to.

-----
Soothing hands were slow to stroke at your skin. When Jenni spoke, it was the quietest youâd ever heard her. A husky, mumbled thing just for you. âBe good. I want to see you come tonight.âÂ
There was no fight when she untangled herself a second time, though the way her hands lingered on your thighs gave her away. Jenni pressed her lips to your cheek before standing up straight. She was quick to turn, walking to where Alexia was perched on the edge of the bed, blocking your view when she bent down to catch the captainâs lips.Â
You looked away immediately. There was something in your gut which made it hard to watch, like you were intruding on something private, intimate.Â
Instead, your focus travelled to the corner of the room. Leila met your gaze immediately. Her hand rubbed over her mouth for a moment before she smiled lazily. You watched her focus trail down to your bare chest, then to your legs still hanging off the desk.Â
With space, you could breathe again. You took the time, forcing deep breaths to calm your frantic heart.Â
By the time Leila looked back up to your face, you had the wherewithal to raise both eyebrows at her. âOkay?â You mouthed.Â
Leilaâs grin stretched even further. A satisfied nod before her expression turned concerned. âYou?â She mouthed back.
It took another second of shaking out your tense limbs, for you to nod and smile back at her. You were half way to pushing off the desk and finding a home on her lap when Jenni spoke. âLie down, amor. Let her work for you.âÂ
You glanced back just in time to see how Alexia surged up to catch her girlfriendâs lips again. They broke apart only when Jenniâs grin couldnât be contained, and Alexia pushed back to make herself comfortable against the pillows.Â
Jenni turned slowly, fiddling with the harness at her hips to unclip it. Her eyes met yours as her content expression faded to something far more devious. Jenni didnât say anything, but the raise of her eyebrow and the tilt of her chin made the instruction clear enough.Â
Your legs were like jelly, though you tried to hide just how floaty they felt as you toed your way to the bed.
Alexia lay with both hands behind her head while you hooked a leg over her hips. Though her dark eyes followed your every move, she didnât react when you steadied yourself on her stomach nor when you reached down to fist her strap.Â
The few short strokes you gave it were instinctive, but the tiny groan she tried to swallow made you wonder how sheâd react if you took her in your mouth. Driven by your own arousal, you ignored it and pressed her tip against your entrance.Â
After taking their cocks for so long, sinking down was easy. The pleased little noise you let out might have been embarrassing but for how it made Alexiaâs lips curl into the tiniest of smiles.Â
Then the first gentle rock, testing how it felt to ride her. You were vaguely aware of Jenni moving around the room, but paid little mind to her quiet footsteps.Â
Alexiaâs lips parted, tension finding her brow when you sunk back down and sat against her hips. There was the temptation to grind your clit against her skin, but you knew what she really wanted.
Perhaps your needy whines were theatrical, but your cunt clenched around her strap over and over. You quickly found the angle you liked best, one which shot pleasure up your spine every time you sat down.Â
Whatever show you were planning to put on was off the table when it felt so good. Up and down, with your eyes fluttering shut and your fingertips digging into her skin. The sounds you pulled from her werenât loud - low groans and the occasional grunt - but they set you alight all the same.Â
It wasnât long until you felt her hands curl around your waist, just holding at first, then pushing up to grope your chest. Her fingers pulled at your nipples, making you shiver and tense around her. When her hands returned to your waist, it was to help fuck her cock inside.Â
âYes!â You gasped at the extra power behind the rhythm.Â
âShe looks so pretty when she rides you, doesnât she, Ale?â Leila asked, grinning to herself when you turned your head in her direction. Alexiaâs fingers tightened, very clearly wanting your attention on her.Â
When you looked back down at her, she met your gaze, though with an unusually tense tone. âDo you think about me? When youâve got Leila's cock inside of you, do you think about me?âÂ
Shivering, you rolled your eyes at her single-mindedness. Though you should have learned your lesson by now, you couldnât help yourself. âNo.âÂ
Within a second, the blondeâs hands were gripping onto your hips, stopping your movements completely.Â
âNo?â She echoed. As soon as you forced your eyes to hers, you were met with a cruel smirk. You tried to ignore her, tried to grind back and forth, but she was too strong. You couldnât move your lower body even an inch, and just as you were about to give in, Alexia spoke again. âSo she is lying to me?âÂ
Your body froze, your confusion clearly written across your face.Â
Alexia grinned like she was happy to elaborate. âLeila is lying when she says you think about me when you come?âÂ
And it should have been a humiliating revelation, that theyâd spoken about you like this. But if it was going to embarrass you, Leila would have never said it. No, she was well aware of how Alexia would bring their conversations up, and your girlfriend knew just what your reaction would be.Â
Your whole body seemed to twitch as you fought the urge to push Alexiaâs hands off you and take what you wanted.Â
âI am not lying. Tell her, bebĂ©.â Leila piped up, sounding as if all her dreams had just come true.Â
âSometimes,â You allowed, your pride only allowing you to say so much, though Alexiaâs hands loosened their grip just enough for you to buck pathetically against her. Â
âAll the time,â Leila corrected. âWhen I fuck her. When she fucks herself.â
âAm I that good?â Alexia asked arrogantly.Â
Swallowing a whine as she stopped you again, you clenched your fists against her taut stomach. In the quiet, you could hear slick sounds behind you, then Jenniâs signature sigh.Â
Alexia licked her lips, dark eyes focused on your every move and hair splayed out against white sheets. You shifted a little, catching her gaze trailing down to your breasts before you spoke. âYou are⊠good.âÂ
Alexia let out a sharp exhale as her focus turned clinical. âYou will have to be more specific if you want to come. Did you like taking my fingers, or being on your knees for me?âÂ
âAlexia, just let me move.â You whined, dragging blunt nails across her forearms.
âNo. Dime.â
For a second, you thought Leila might jump in and save you again. Instead, the silence stretched on and on until you broke. âOn my knees.â
âSĂ? What about it?âÂ
âAll of it.âÂ
âTodo?â Alexia loosened her grip, stroking over your thighs as they immediately started working you up and down her length.Â
âTodo.â Leila sang from the corner as you moaned. âShe liked when you made her eat Jenniâs pussy while you fucked her.âÂ
âAnd when you played with her ass?â Jenni guessed. You could hear the grin in her breathless tone.
Alexia grinned too, watching you with an unfair amount of control. âPuta,â She purred, letting you find the angle which made you keen, âShow me how much you like my cock.âÂ
With your hands on her stomach, you bounced. A few gentle bucks first to get used to it, then fast enough to feel the heady pleasure. So thick, so deep every time you sat down. Your unrestrained moans mingled with the springs of the hotel bed, creaking in time with every rock.Â
You werenât sure if it was Alexiaâs hands rocking you, or her hips bucking up from the bed. Either way, the feeling of her was more. It was relentless and deep. The longer it went on, the higher your desire to come became.Â
âAlexia likes to think about you, too, cari.â Jenni called from behind. âEver since she had you, youâre all she talks about-âÂ
âJenni-â Alexia warned though her eyes never left your chest.Â
â-Your pretty pussy on her cock,â The striker continued as if uninterrupted.Â
âJennifer.â
âShe likes to think about filling you up and making you scream. Donât you, Ale?âÂ
You watched Alexiaâs eyes trail down to where you rode. It wasnât often that Alexia was without something to say, and it was this rarity that gave you a little courage. Without letting yourself think too hard about it, you grabbed Alexiaâs hands from where they rested on your hips, and shifted forwards, pinning her to the mattress.
There was barely any time for Alexia to look at you, astonished, before your lips were next to her ear, and you spoke so quietly, the blonde knew only she had heard you. That your words were only for her.Â
âCome in my pussy, Ale, I need it,â You whimpered.Â
Alexia groaned before it happened. You gasped when she used her overwhelming strength to flip the both of you until her body pressed into yours.Â
Another second, then Alexia was moving. Not just moving her hips, not just fucking into you like she had before. Maybe it was different because you knew she was going to make you come this time. Regardless of the reason, it was unrestrained and visceral. It was Alexia, taking what she wanted, and giving you what you wanted at the same time.Â
All of her control was wholly abandoned in favour of rutting into you with all of her power, fucking in so deeply, you could feel her in your stomach. All you could do was wrap all four of your limbs around her toned body, try to remember to breathe, and hold on as she worked you both up, steadily higher and higher. Her body stayed close, hips snapping her cock inside and rubbing against your clit deliciously.
âAlexia, god, Ale, â You couldnât finish your sentence, overcome with pleasure as your body began to shake. She fucked the neediest sounds from you with every thrust.
âAgain,â she hissed.
âAlexia. Ale-â You chanted, willing to do whatever she asked if it meant she wouldnât stop. Not now, not when you were so high strung. âAlexia. Please. Fuck, Alexia.â
âTe sientes tan bien,â Alexia grunted, her lips brushing against your cheek. You couldnât think about the affection in her voice, or the way you were wrapped around her, only the way it felt. Hot, relentless, and safe. Her arms held you so tightly there was nowhere to move, but why would you want to? Her panting in your ear, the pounding of her hips, the press of her skin. All of it was heaven.
âIâm so-â You warned, feeling it build low in your stomach.Â
âNo. Wait. Conmigo.â She cut you off with a low rasp.Â
You clung to her, nodding into her neck though you werenât sure it was even possible to stop it.
âVas a correr en su coño, Ale?â Jenni wondered.Â
You let out a needy whine at her question.Â
The midfielder was bucking into you frantically, clearly nearing her own peak. With every thrust, Alexia grew less and less composed. Her lips were parted as she breathed a sharp exhale every time she filled you. The intensity of her gaze bordered on hypnotising, almost distracting from the word she murmured. âInside?â
âPlease,â You moaned, a hand tightening its grip on the back of the blondeâs neck.Â
Her cheek pressed to yours, her lips finding your ear. âTell me.â Alexia demanded.Â
âI need you to come inside me,â You whined, âAle, Iâm so close, Iâm gonna come.âÂ
âLet me fill up your pussy first, zorrita.â
âFuck, Ale. I canât.â You desperately tried to swallow your own arousal and think of anything beyond how close to the edge you were.Â
âEspera.â She commanded breathlessly.Â
You whimpered, shaking your head into her neck. The harder she drove, the more certain you were that you couldnât last a single second longer.Â
âItâs okay bebĂ©,â Leila chimed in sweetly. âCome on Aleâs cock. Give her a tight little hole to fill up.âÂ
You stopped trying to fight it, allowing the stimulation to overtake your body. A few harsh thrusts, then it hit. You writhed under Alexia, back arching, eyes slamming shut as it washed over you.Â
âAlexia,â you mewled, your voice barely more than a squeak before you fell silent. The peak was too high. You squeezed her, holding on until it broke hard. Wave after wave after wave flooding every nerve in your body. Â
Alexia worked herself furiously towards her own end, finding the rhythm and angle that felt the best and hitting it with every thrust, though it was difficult to move when you clamped down. The knowledge that she was the reason you were in such a state of bliss made her head spin, and it was only a few more seconds of chasing her own orgasm before she shook.Â
Alexiaâs hips slapped against your skin, meeting the sound of her filthy moans until both became muffled. Her movements inside of you slowed, becoming smaller and smaller until she stopped completely. Then came the comforting weight of her body relaxing into yours. The slight shift of her cock had you keening in sensitivity, letting your legs fall from where they were wrapped around her waist.Â
âShh,â She breathed, hand clumsily gripping onto yours. You werenât sure whether you were shaking or if Alexia was, but you hauled her in closer all the same, needing to feel every inch of her skin against yours. The room was still, or maybe your head was too clouded to register much else. It could have been seconds or minutes that you and Alexia lay there, unconsciously breathing in sync.Â
When your needy sounds had died down, Alexia carefully inched the strap out of you. You managed to withhold your whimper this time, but it escaped only a minute later when Alexia leaned up and away. She rolled onto her back, her body only parting from yours for seconds before she was tugging you back into her side. Your hand trembled where it laced with Alexiaâs, your inhales and exhales unsteady against her chest. Â
It was comfortable, laying pressed up against Alexiaâs warm skin. You didnât think of much beyond the heat of her and the aftershocks which sporadically shivered through your spine.
The quiet shift of fabric, then a soft hand stroked up and down your back. Given Alexiaâs stillness, you knew didnât belong to the blonde.
Leila didnât need to say anything before you were rolling away from Alexia and into her waiting arms. She was still dressed, wearing her favourite hoodie that smelled unmistakably like her, all comforting, soft and familiar. You settled against her, inhaling deeply as she ran her fingers through your hair. She was less warm than Alexiaâs bare skin, but the stroke of her hands made you shiver for different reasons. You both were jostled as the bed dipped next to you, and though you werenât looking, you knew that Jenni had not been as gentle as she pulled her girlfriend into her.Â
âAle!â She sang, pressing a few kisses to Alexiaâs cheek. You could picture the shy smile on Alexiaâs face, yet Leilaâs heartbeat in your ear was too soothing. You couldnât bring yourself to focus on anything but her. Peace was something you apparently werenât allowed, though, as you were shaken gently before you could allow yourself to truly relax.Â
âNot yet.â Leila whispered. âYou canât sleep yet. We still have guests.âÂ
You grumbled, pressing your face further into her chest. A large hand came to rest on the back of your head, fingers tapping at your skull gently at first, then a bit more insistently. You looked up to glare at Alexia, who was grinning smugly at you from her spot reclined in Jenniâs arms.Â
âDid I tire you out?â She questioned.Â
You rolled your eyes. âNo, your girlfriend did.âÂ
This time though, Alexia didnât jump to jealousy. âYou begged for me. You did not beg for Jenni.â She dismissed, though she visibly tightened the grip Jenniâs long arms had around her.Â
âYou didnât,â Jenni agreed, nuzzling into her girlfriendâs neck. âDonât lie, cari. She is the best. You look so good together.â
The look Alexia tried to hide was the softest youâd seen on her.Â
Leilaâs fingertips traced patterns over your ribcage. âYou are so pretty when you beg.â She sighed dreamily. âSo pretty when they fuck you.âÂ
Alexia hummed her agreement softly, removing her hand from your head with a smirk. The room fell quiet again. You started to recognise the hum of cars outside and the chatter of people in the hallway.
You were just about to turn back into Leilaâs chest, company be damned, when Jenni cleared her throat. âDo you all remember my goal? It was a good one, no?â
Alexia reached her hand up, stroking at Jenniâs cheek. âSĂ, increĂble.âÂ
The forward waited patiently for a moment, but none of you said anything else. âSo is it time for my reward now? For my goal?âÂ
