you’re awoken by the light coming in through the blinds. it’s subtle, but it’s there. it bothers you and causes you to stir awake.
you can hear drew snoring—a habit you know all too well, but you ignore it. your eyes flutter open as you look around the room, then you look at him.
he’s dead asleep, but he’s on his stomach, his face parallel to yours. his mouth is a little open and one of his arms is underneath his pillow, hoisting him slightly higher, while his other is reaching toward your side of the bed.
you yawn as you twist your body and grab your phone off the nightstand, then check the time. it’s already noon. the others must be up and awake by now.
you drop your phone on your lap and use that hand to shake drew awake gently, but when he doesn’t wake up the first time is when you get a little rougher.
“star,” you tell him, in hopes that he gets up at least now or soon. you don’t want either of you to miss any of the plans going on that day. “wake up, come on,” you say, and drew’s eyes open once before he closes them again, and his legs move underneath the blanket slowly. he’s waking up.
“mmh,” he moans, and because his eyes are closed you know that he’s trying to fall back asleep. you retract your arm and get up from the bed. you figure he’ll wake up anyway, he knows he has to.
you walk over to the door and open it, then peek your head out into the hall. you look around for anyone, but all you find is theo walking upstairs to his and leila’s room with two plates of food.
“hey,” you say, then pause to clear your throat. you’ve already caught theo’s attention. “what are we doing today?”
theo shakes his head, his mouth full of his piece of toast. “not today,” his words are difficult to understand so he drops the piece of toast on one of the plates. “tonight. leila has this checklist that’s guiding our everyday, and she said she’s been wanting to just stay in one night, relax, watch some movies. it’s gonna be chill, but it’s only that.”
you nod, patting the doorframe twice. “thank you,” you say, then pull back into your room as you add, “and good morning!”
“‘morning,” theo says, and you close the door gently.
when you turn around you see that drew’s awake. or at least he’s changed positions. he’s lying on his side now, facing you again. you watch him as you return to your side of the bed. he has to flip onto his other side again when you even leave his sight.
“free day until movie night tonight. leila’s orders,” you say, and there’s a small smile on his face before he rubs his eyes with his palm. you look around the bed for your phone with a frown, “could sleep in ‘til tonight if we wanted to.”
“we?” he asks, and it’s like he’s caught you already suggesting plans for the both of you.
“if i . . . wanted to,” you correct yourself, then pause for a moment while you rub the back of your neck, looking away. “libby did say she could help me with some audition tapes today though.”
drew groans, stuffing his head back into his pillow. “why are you working during the two weeks we’re supposed to do anything but that?” he whines, as if you’re dragging him along to do it too.
you shrug, “some people are expected to book their next role as soon as possible. now that tempest is over, i want to start working on my next big thing.”
“tempest was the next big thing, you won an mtv award for it,” drew reminds you.
you think back to your tv series that had went on for six years, a good chunk of your life, before it ended just recently with its final season. tempest is the reason why you met drew in the first place—he shared his praise for your lead role at one of his movie premieres years and years ago.
you shake your head at him. “okay,” you say, deciding to get up and out of bed.
“where are you going?”
“i’m not gonna work but i’m not just gonna lay around in bed all day,” you tell him, and you leave the room to freshen up in the bathroom.
you hear a few footsteps that descend the staircase and you can’t help but peer over your shoulder to see who it is. it’s oscar. you’re seated at the kitchen island, and he’s just minding his own business as he retrieves something from his backpack it seems like, then he looks to you.
he’s kind. there’s a genuine smile on his face as he nods his head at you. “good morning,” he says.
he turns to leave and you try to return it, “good morning.” you clear your throat as you continue to watch him head upstairs. from there, you can see someone walking across the hall, just from their feet.
you can recognize his patterned socks. it’s drew.
“hey!” leila’s voice is a jumpscare and you can’t help but react quickly, facing forward like you’re a child getting caught stealing candy. leila laughs when she realizes she scared you. “sorry . . . i thought you heard me come in. are you ready?”
you’re dressed to go out to town, as leila said earlier that she wanted to visit the local market nearby. you nod your head at her and shuffle off of the chair.
“who’s driving?” drew asks as he jogs down the stairs and pulls his crewneck over his head. you barely cast a glance at his body before you look into his eyes, and he walks over. “am i?”
“yes—” leila tries to say before you cut in.
“you’re coming with us?” you ask. you don’t necessarily have a problem with it, it’s just why was it kept from you?
“problem?”
“i don’t know. is there one?” you furrow your eyebrows at him and tilt your head to the side, but you realize the way you’re talking to him.
he squints his eyes at you in question, then glances up at leila. he’s not sure whether you're teasing him or not, but he lets out a short, awkward laugh. “okay, let’s not get dramatic,” he says lightly.
leila, sensing the unease, smiles as she steps in. “i figured we could all go together! it’s a trio outing now! plus, you two are joined at the hip anyway.” she says it like it's the most natural thing, blissfully unaware of how the statement lands between you and drew.
you swallow the discomfort and force a smile as you get off the chair, grabbing your bag. drew’s eyes linger on you for a moment before he turns and follows you both out the door.
“careful,” he warns you about your blatant attitude.
you know he’s right, and you mutter out, “sorry.”
the car hums as you’re driven down to the beach market, then get out to enter. it’s not a huge deal being seen out in public together—you’ve done this before. but of course it’s different now. there’s something strange about holding drew’s hand when you know, deep down, it’s all for show. but you don't pull away.
when you reach the town, you spot a few people recognizing you—actors always catch eyes, even in quieter towns like this one. drew stays close, his hand still gripping yours, a comfortable smile playing on his lips as the three of you wander around.
a couple of fans approach you, their faces lighting up at the sight of you and drew together. “oh my god, i loved you two in hellraiser! this feels like a dream," one of them gushes, and for a split second, you feel drew’s hand squeeze yours tighter.
you try to play it off, laughing softly as you and him pose for a quick picture with the younger girl.
after, drew steps beside you, leaning forward with his hands behind his back as a few record him. “we’re glad you enjoyed it,” he says, flashing his grin. you feel a familiar flutter in your stomach, a reminder of all those moments you used to share during press events like this.
another girl beams, and what seems like her mother is standing there with her, “you look even prettier in person! can we take another photo?”
“of course!” you laugh, and you part from drew to tend to the few of them.
drew is just standing a few feet away, his gaze locked on you. his expression is unreadable—something between admiration and something deeper, something heavier.
leila catches onto his lingering stare, and she approaches him with a smirk, nudging his arm. “you’re staring,” she teases, her tone light. drew blinks and breaks his gaze, glancing down at leila like he’s been caught.
“was not,” he mutters. his eyes flick back to you for a second, but he quickly looks away again.
leila’s inspecting a few trinkets before glancing back at him, a knowing look on her face. “you’re a terrible liar, you know,” she says. “you’re staring, and don’t think i didn’t notice at the firepit either.”
drew shifts uncomfortably, trying to find a way to defend himself. “okay, well yeah, because she’s my girlfriend!” he says a little too loud, and even you look up at him and furrow your eyebrows before returning to what you’re doing.
“okay, i’m joking. god, please lighten up. you can stare at your girlfriend all you want. who cares?” she says, waving a hand dismissively. “is everything good with you two?”
drew hesitates, glancing over at you as you smile politely at another fan. “yeah, everything’s fine,” he says, the words coming out too quickly. “why wouldn’t it be?”
leila narrows her eyes, watching him closely. “i don’t know, you’re acting a little . . . weird. normally, you’re more laid-back when she’s off and doing stuff on her own. but lately, you’ve been all . . . protective. intense, even.” she pauses, studying his face. “is something going on?”
he rubs the back of his neck. “no, we’re good. we’re good.”
leila hums, her fingers tracing one of the bracelets on a stall table. “you know, i talked to y/n last night,” she says carefully, her voice soft. “she said you guys have been stressed with work lately, but that everything’s good between you. still . . . i don’t know, something feels off. you both seem a little . . . distant.” she gives him a gentle nudge. “i’m not trying to pry, but i just want to make sure you’re okay. i already asked her, so now i’m asking you.”
drew stiffens slightly, but forces a small laugh, trying to brush it off. “yeah, work has been a lot lately. it’s probably just that—stress, you know? juggling schedules, auditions, appearances . . . it’s hard to get time for ourselves.”
“i get that. trust me, theo and i have been there too with our careers. it can get messy, but...” she trails off, giving him a sincere look. “you and y/n have always had something really special. and i know it’s not my business, but if something’s really bothering you—or her—you guys should talk it out. don’t let it fester.”
he shifts on his feet, the words striking closer than he’d like. he nods, though, appreciating her concern. “yeah, you’re right. i know we need to talk more, make time for that.”
leila smiles, “good. i’m here for both of you, okay? if you need to blow off steam or talk, don’t hesitate. i can tell there’s more going on than just ‘work stress,’ but i trust you’ll figure it out.”
drew forces a grin, trying to play it cool. “thanks, lei. we’ll be fine.”
leila holds his gaze for a moment longer, then nods as she steps back toward the vendor. “you better be. you guys are a strong power couple around here,” she jokes lightly.
as she glances over drew’s shoulder, her gaze settles on a nearby flower shop across the street. she doesn’t say anything, but her eyes linger, then shift back to him. there’s a soft smile playing on her lips, and she raises her brows in a silent suggestion.
he follows her line of sight, his eyes landing on the shop. it takes him a second, but he gets it. leila doesn’t need to say the words. he knows exactly what she’s trying to tell him.
“really?” he asks, dropping his smile. “you’re playing wingman?”
“wingwoman, but you know.” she gives a small, almost teasing shrug. “i mean, they’re her favorite, right? might not fix everything, but it’s a start. little things, drew.”
his eyes flick back to the shop, an old habit of buying you flowers bubbling up in his chest. “yeah, she always liked those kinds of flowers,” he murmurs, half to himself.
he nods, muttering a quiet “thanks” under his breath, as leila gives him a knowing smile before turning back to browse a nearby stall.
drew makes his way over to the flower shop, eyes scanning for your favorite blooms. the vendor helps him put together a simple yet thoughtful bouquet, and drew can't help but feel anxious but hopeful.
a few minutes later, he looks for you amongst everyone. you’ve already found leila, as you two inspect something on a stand just a few stalls down. you must not have seen drew when he was handling the flowers.
he makes his way over, and his presence is warm behind you that causes you to peer over your shoulder. you’re startled when you realize there’s actually someone there, and he’s so close. you immediately notice the flowers.
your eyebrows lift in amusement as he grins. “oh, what’s this?” you ask, your tone teasing, though there's a flicker of surprise behind your eyes.
drew holds the bouquet out, his voice soft. “for you,” he says. “maybe to make the day a little better.”
you look at the flowers, hesitating for a second before taking them. there’s a small warmth in your chest that you try to suppress, but it shows in the way your lips twitch upward into a faint smile. “thank you,” you say quietly, studying the flowers briefly before your gaze shifts back to him.
you can’t help but wrap your open arm around his neck and pull him close. his gesture is sweet and unexpected. drew’s arms finds your waist before he’s hugging you back, even tighter, but trying to be polite with how long he squeezes you.
you feel bold, and you lean away from him before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. it’s brief, almost hesitant, but enough to make drew’s breath get caught in his throat for a second.
as you pull away, you notice his glance toward leila, who's standing just a few feet away, pretending to be deeply engrossed in whatever she's holding. but she can’t hide the small wink she throws his way when he meets her gaze, a playful, silent “you're welcome” before she turns back around.
you catch it at the very last second and your mouth gapes open, so you take a step back. “are you two conspiring now?” you ask, in fake shock.
he chuckles softly. “just trying to be a good boyfriend.”
“mhm,” you murmur, but your smile lingers, and you look up at him to mumble a small “thank you” again, to which he waves it off like it’s nothing. even though you're hesitant, you can't deny that the gesture worked—at least a little.

—
You were carrying both your water bottle and Leila’s. There was nothing you could do when you felt the faintest brush of someone’s fingers on your neck, which you were sure was the intention.
“Jenni,” you hissed, crossing your arms over your chest as your bikini top fell limply down your front, now only held up by the string across your back.
The brunette laughed loudly in response, taking advantage of the fact that your hands were full and you couldn’t chase her around the pool deck like you’d done an hour ago, when she’d done the same thing. Instead you glared at her through your sunglasses, stomping over to the pair of loungers you and Leila were using. Setting the water bottles down, you quickly pulled the swimsuit back up, hands fiddling with the strings.
Behind you, Leila cleared her throat, and you turned to see her looking purposefully between you and Alexia, who was sprawled across her own chair, just a few feet away. Her eyes were obscured by her sunglasses, but you got the strange feeling that she was watching you. Knowing what Leila was getting at, you shook your head, sitting on the edge of her chair.
“Tie it for me, please?” You requested.
Always one to take your comfort seriously, Leila did as you asked, pressing a kiss to the side of your head once she was done. She lingered there for a moment, her arms wrapping around your midsection and pulling you back into her.
“You have to start somewhere, bebé.” She whispered. “Leave it off.”
You scowled feeling your face heat up. Stealing another glance over at the blonde, who was now taking a sip from her own drink, the condensation sliding off the bottom of the cup and down the tan skin of her very bare chest.
If Alexia felt your gaze on her, she didn’t say anything. You weren’t sure why you expected anything else; it was already the 2nd day of your trip and though you were sharing a villa with Alexia, eating meals with her and swimming in the same pool, she had remained indifferent towards you. No more than polite words and greetings, just like she’d given you in the weeks since your last… thing.
Alexia could talk about football for hours at work, but the second you got involved, things quietened down. Sometimes you’d try and play around with her to tease out the softer side you’d caught glimpses off in the past. Instead of returning your playfulness, Alexia would stare until you were uncomfortable enough to walk away.
Alexia was borderline cold with you, yet she was the polar opposite with both her girlfriend, and yours.
Leila knew better than anyone that it was driving you insane.
When Leila had brought up the idea of a joint trip with the other couple, you’d jumped at the chance. There hadn’t been much time in recent weeks to get as… acquainted… with them as you’d been in the past, as you hoped to get again. Time away from work felt like the perfect place to pull her out of her shell. And though the sexual tension around the villa could have been cut with a knife, Alexia continued to treat this like some kind of professional business trip. And so you did too.
“No.” You whispered back to Leila. “Leave it alone unless you want to help me.”
Leila just sighed, pulling you back to rest against her even though it was much too hot. Her silence told you the conversation wasn’t over, but you were again distracted by the sight of Alexia getting up off her chair and walking tantalizingly slowly over to the steps of the pool.
If you weren’t going to be having sex with her on this trip, why couldn’t you have gone somewhere cold, where she would have been bundled up. That way, the miles of tan skin and legs and muscles would have stayed safely under wraps, and you wouldn’t feel like tearing your hair out in a horny nervous breakdown every time you walked out onto the pool deck.
—
It wasn’t until later that Alexia breached the subject of you with Jenni. She was tired of waiting, annoyed that everyone seemed to be waiting on her to make the first move; so much so she wasn’t sure anyone else actually wanted it.
“I want them.” Alexia hummed before taking another bite of her toast.
“Again?” Jenni replied as she closed the fridge. “Hung up on them, aren’t you?”
The captain twisted around, eyeing her girlfriend with suspicion. “You don’t want..?”
“Of course I want to. More than once this time.” Jenni shifted closer, reaching out to push herself up against Alexia’s back. Hooking her chin over her shoulder, she took a moment to appreciate the scantily clad couple in the distance.
Alexia carefully watched the approaching figures, too wrapped up in one another to really notice. “She doesn’t. She won’t even look at me.”
“You won’t look at her. Especially not when she’s paying attention.”
“She doesn’t want me to.”
Jenni chuckled softly, turning to press her lips against Alexia’s neck. “That’s not true. Maybe if you replied with more than one word answers, you’d see how much she wants you.”
Alexia huffed dramatically, taking another chomp of her snack instead of humoring her girlfriend with a reply.
Well used to Alexia’s unspoken insecurities, Jenni kissed her once more before unwrapping herself to fix her own lunch.
–
Maybe it was because she hadn’t touched you yet, or seemed even mildly interested in doing so, that you were so desperate for her. Leila, and Jenni to an extent, were obtainable. A few words, a few kisses, you knew they’d be on board. Alexia, however, remained like a statue. She’d barely spoken to you in the 48 hours you’d been on holiday, and it was as confusing as it was annoying.
Weren’t you both passed this, by now? Apparently not. You had brushed behind her in the kitchen earlier in the day, and she’d frozen completely, before bolting out of the room and back outside, her snack forgotten on the counter.
“Does she not want me anymore?” You mused, laying with your back pressed to Leila’s bare chest. It was late, dark in the room except for the glow of the moon bouncing off the nearby water and through the window. Though you couldn’t see your girlfriend’s face, you had the distinct feeling that she was rolling her eyes at you, but with nothing to back it up, you let it go.
“Bebé, just ask her.” Leila told you, arms tightening where they were looped around your abdomen.
“Ask her.” You scoffed. “She won’t look me in the eye, she’s barely said two words to me since we’ve gotten here. I can’t just ask if she wants to have sex.”
“It wouldn’t be completely out of nowhere, you’ve slept with her twice.” The brunette reminded you, her eyes flicking over to her phone, where the screen lit up just barely with a text.
Jenni: This is getting ridiculous. I think we should lock them in the bathroom together or something.
Holding back a snort, Leila refocused back on you, rambling away about how annoying Alexia was when she was being so standoffish. Leila knew you meant hot, but were too proud to say so. She hummed along, reaching for her phone once she was sure you were suitably distracted.
-
Leila: With a vibrator or something. And no clothes. And me!
Jenni rolled her eyes, casually pushing her phone back under her pillow with one hand, her other continuing its motion through Alexia’s hair.
“I had her screaming and begging for me and now she’s pretending like it never happened.” Alexia ranted, sighing loudly when she got no response from her girlfriend. Tilting her head up, she frowned when she was met with a small grin on Jenni’s face. “What? What are you smiling about?”
Jenni just shook her head. “You know what I’m going to tell you, Ale.”
“I don’t want to ask her, Jennifer. I want her to want me.” The midfielder grumbled.
“Well, maybe she wants you to go to her.”
“I don’t beg.” Alexia sighed, her face heating up when her girlfriend fixed her with a knowing look. “Okay, I don’t beg for her, she begs for me. And she will. I don’t care how long it takes.”
Jenni let her eyes trail down to where the t-shirt Alexia had definitely stolen from her suitcase had ridden up, tan skin covering thick muscle. “But it could be so much faster if you just started it.”
“No. If she wants it, she’ll come.”
Jenni tried to ignore the hint of insecurity in Alexia’s voice, opting instead to stroke back her baby hairs. “She already comes, thinking about you, remember?”
Reveling in the tiniest upturn of her girlfriend’s mouth, Jenni bent down for a kiss. “And if you ask me, she’s crazy for not jumping on you today. I’ll be dreaming of that little bikini tonight.” “I can put it back on for you?” Alexia offered, sitting up a little to stay close. She giggled at Jenni’s theatrical groan.
“But then you’d have to take off my clothes.”
“Sí. Or you could do it for me?” The way Alexia boldly grabbed Jenni’s hand, dragging it lower and lower on her body until the striker’s long fingers could toy with the waistband of her shorts, made up her mind. If Alexia wouldn’t take the first step, and you wouldn’t either, then there was nothing left to do but meddle.
With a quick series of kisses, Jenni grabbed her phone and slipped away to the bathroom, promising to finish what Alexia had started when she came back. Once the door was securely shut behind her, she replied to the defender.
Jenni: This is going nowhere. Plan B tomorrow.
Leila’s reply came through quickly.
Leila: Can we get more of that chocolate ice cream while we’re out?
Jenni sighed, for what felt like the 5th time that evening. No wonder her plan had been failing so miserably, what with her accomplice being so easily distracted. Leila could have all the ice cream in the world if that’s what it took for her to remain subtle and let the two of you start yourselves.
—
“Amor! Jenni and I are going to the store!” Leila shouted, just barely poking her head out the door. You looked up from your book, eyes wide. Your girlfriend was dressed, not in the swim suit she’d had on earlier.
“You and Jenni and… Alexia?” You asked, sitting up fully and attempting to fix Leila with your most threatening stare.
Leila bit at her lip, something she only did when she was trying to hide her smirk. “No, just me and Jenni. Bye, I love you!” She shut the door behind her before you could say anything back. You had the very distinct feeling that you were in the middle of some kind of plot, one that had Jenni written all over it.
As Leila disappeared into the house, you made out the outline of Alexia, just barely visible through the glare of the sun off the glass. Even the mere sight of her silhouette was erasing every thought from your head, and you cursed the woman for looking so good all the time. It would have been easier, honestly, if you knew for sure that you couldn’t have her. This awkward, stunted dynamic between the two of you was driving you insane, and now you were going to be all alone with her.
Inside the house, Jenni was wishing she’d followed Leila’s lead and told her girlfriend she was leaving from a safe distance away. Instead, Alexia stood right in front of her, jaw dropped in horror.
“What do you mean you’re going to the store with Leila?” Alexia frowned.
Jenni snorted, leaning in to kiss her girlfriend’s cheek even as she began to tease. “Well, Leila and I are going to get in the car, and then drive to this place that sells food. And then-”
“Jenni, take me.” Alexia interrupted, an unusual amount of panic in her voice. “She’s in a bikini. I’m going with you.”
The striker chuckled, detaching her girlfriend’s hands from where they were clutching onto her shirt. “No, you need rest after last night. You should go out by the pool, take a nap. Or tire yourself out more.”
Alexia glared back at her girlfriend, fighting to keep her focus on the brunette and not let it drift over to where you were spread out on a lounge chair. Just over Jenni’s shoulder, you were staring at the door, skin glistening with sweat, long legs extended in front of you
Alexia shook her head but Jenni was already moving towards the front door. “Jennifer Hermoso, do not leave me here.” The midfielder hissed, fighting the urge to jump onto her girlfriend’s back and tackle her to the floor.
“But you won’t be alone, amor!” Jenni grinned, turning around to face her girlfriend, yet continuing to back towards the front door. “And put that red bikini on. It’ll drive her crazy.”
“I am going to kill you.” Alexia vowed through gritted teeth.
“Maybe she can put you in a good mood first. Ciao!” Jenni sang, slipping out the front door and shutting it behind her.
__
For a while, the villa was far quieter than you were used to. As hot as it was outside, you were set on remaining right there, baking in the sun rather than facing whatever frosty reception was indoors. After a while, the choice was made for you.
The sliding doors opened, and as much as you were trying not to look, it was impossible to ignore firetruck red.
Alexia closed the door silently, shuffling her way into the sun before pulling her sunglasses down and stretching out face down over the lounger. Not once did she glance in your direction.
There was silence while you took in the perfect curve of her ass, hardly covered.
“I like your swimsuit.” You called gently.
Alexia shifted a little before grumbling. With her face away from you, it was a struggle to understand. “Gracias. Jenni likes it.”
Of course. Jenni, her girlfriend. The person she actually wants to talk to.
Silence fell once more.
“She has good taste.” You hummed, sitting up quickly to gather your things. It was too hot, your water bottle was empty, you needed to freshen up before Leila got home. Whatever rationalization you thought through, none felt completely true.
You were both quiet as you retreated back through the doors, into the safety of the kitchen.
For a while, you sat at the island, sipping cool water and trying to think of anything beyond Alexia. No matter which path you took, from Leila to work, family to future plans, somehow your brian would always find its way back to her.
You flinched when the sliding door opened, then came the soft pads of her footsteps until swaths of tanned skin stepped into your eye line.
“You can..?” Alexia trailed off, holding up a bottle of sunscreen.
Finally you looked at her, schooling yourself to ignore the way the peak of her nipples could be seen through the thinly stretched triangles of her top. It took the raise of her eyebrows for your brain to catch up. “Me? I can. Yeah, of course.”
In a few short days, you’d seen Jenni take full advantage of Alexia’s love of sun safety. You’d tried not to stare at the striker’s wet hands dragging over every inch of her girlfriend’s body, kneading tight muscles until Alexia would moan and melt into her.
Slowly, you slid off the chair and closer to her. Slipping the bottle to your hand, Alexia turned and pulled her ponytail out of the way.
It wasn’t often you got to freely admire your Captain’s back. Bare skin dotted with tattoos and tiny freckles all the way down to where her bikini (hardly) covered her ass. After squirting a little too much sunscreen onto your hands, you pressed them against her. Her skin was already hot.
You could feel the thick muscle of her back under your fingertips as you committed to the task, meticulously ensuring that every centimeter was coated well. The top half was straightforward, bar having to dodge the ties of her top. As you moved downwards, your brain started to go into overdrive. The tiniest sigh from her as your thumbs stroked over her lower back made you shiver.
Lower still, until one hand had to curve around her hip to steady her when you dipped your fingers just underneath where her bikini covered.
Alexia was still and silent.
Perhaps it was selfish how you lingered, stroking over and over in the hopes that maybe something would make her crack. The tiniest sign that she wanted more was all you needed, but even as your hands stroked back to safer spots, nothing.
“Was there anywhere else?” You murmured.
“No!” Alexia said immediately, twisting to pick up the sunscreen bottle and step away. “Gracias.”
“Anytime.” You replied, but she was already taking fast steps towards the door.
-
Jenni and Leila reentered the house, both frowning at the quiet they found. Jenni was disappointed at the thought that no progress had been made. Leila was less discouraged.
“Maybe they are outside!” She said hopefully, depositing the several bags of groceries she was carrying on the counter, before spotting Alexia, alone, out on the pool deck.
“Your girlfriend is stubborn.” Jenni sighed, opening the freezer to unload the three entire pints of chocolate ice cream she’d been conned into buying. Her girlfriend looked tense, even as she lounged on a chair.
Leila turned from where she was headed to search for you, looking affronted, but before she could say a word in response, the bedroom door creaked open and you darted out, grabbing onto Leila’s wrist and yanking her back into the room with you.
“Bebé! There you are!” Leila began, flashing you with a sunny smile and attempting to lean in to kiss your cheek. She paused, though, finding your cheeks flushed red, a sheen of sweat visible on your forehead. “Have you had too much sun?”
Even your girlfriend’s sweet concern couldn’t distract you from the problem at hand. “No! I have had too much Alexia. She’s wearing this bikini - and the sunscreen on her back, and her skin is so warm, and-”
“You and Alexia?” Leila asked excitedly, dragging you over to the bed. She caught the way the sheets were slightly crumpled, and how you were wearing a different pair of swimsuit bottoms than before, taking it all to mean something that it absolutely didn’t. “Tell me about it!”
“She asked me to put sunscreen on her back.”
Leila blinked, wondering if that was some kind of English euphemism she’d never learned.
“Sunscreen on her back… like the… you… what kind of sex is that?” She asked, an adorably confused look adorning her features.
You glared at your girlfriend, ripping your hand away from hers and beginning to pace around the room. “That is no kind of sex Leila! I complimented her bikini, and she barely replied, so I went inside and she followed me, just to ask me put sunscreen on her back!”
“Did you?”
“Oh yes. I put sunscreen all over her back. Everywhere. I lingered and I touched her and nothing!”
“Nothing?”
“No. And now I’m all…” you trailed off, waving your hands around in the air wildly. “And it’s all your fault for leaving me here with her.” At this, Leila had the decency to look mildly guilty, reaching out her hand to lace her fingers with yours. She drew you in, closer and closer, until she could wrap her arms around your midsection, and pull you into her lap.
“I would have enjoyed you putting lotion on my back. It would have been very hot, bebé. Irresistible.” Leila’s words were soft, but held an undertone that had the feelings you’d been trying to shove aside flooding back into you.
You shifted so you could look at her face. “Yeah?”
“Sí.” Leila nodded earnestly, leaning up to gently peck your cheek. She had barely pulled away before you were moving around to straddle her lap, pressing your lips urgently to your girlfriend’s. If Leila was surprised at the turn of events, she didn’t show it, her hands settling on your hips as she allowed you to press her back down onto the mattress.
The act of dominance wasn’t unusual for you to put on at the beginning, and Leila knew very well that it would only be a few minutes before all you wanted was to be underneath her. Still, she laced her fingers through your hair, giving a soft tug. The low whine you let out gave her an idea.
Technically, it had been Jenni’s Plan C, but Leila decided to take initiative.

“Aaron would you please just tell me what’s going on!” You pleaded.
“Nothing. I told you to just drop it. Nothing is wrong.” Aaron snapped.
Things had been like this for the past few weeks. Aaron was being short with you, snippy about menial things that had never bothered him before. You couldn’t figure out what was going on, it had truly begun to weigh heavily on your relationship.
“We both know that’s bullshit. Why won’t you just talk to me?” You were practically begging him at this point.
“Jesus Christ, would you just let it the fuck go. I said I don’t want to talk. Why is that so hard for you to understand?” Aaron shouted. “Maybe Dave was right.” He mumbled.
“Right about what?” Your voice came out much smaller than intended.
“Maybe you’re too young, too immature. You just don’t understand the stress I’m under.” Aaron huffed out a sigh.
Aaron and you had been together for nearly two years. Initially it had been more of a fling due to the fact that he was teaching a course you were taking to complete your bachelor’s degree. He and you took things to the next level once you’d graduated and now you were about to complete your master’s degree. You loved Aaron, but with how things had been going for the last few months, you couldn’t help but wonder if that was enough.
“I don’t know if I can do this anymore.” You whispered.
“So what? We get in a little fight and you’re going to throw a tantrum?” Aaron spat pure venom.
“A tantrum?” You said, exasperated. “Aaron I’m not a toddler kicking and screaming because I am not getting my way. I’m a grown ass woman asking for some healthy communication in our relationship. We haven’t had a real conversation in months, and I don’t think I can go on like this.” You gasped, the realization finally hitting you…this had to end.
“Sweetheart, we can work this out. I’m sorry okay?” Aaron reached for you.
“No…” You took a retreating step, your back making contact with the back of your sofa. “I think it’s too late Aaron. And honestly it’s rich that you called me immature, when you are so emotionally stunted. You refuse to act your own age and talk things through. Instead, you bottle things up and push away anyone who cares about you. I won’t be your punching bag anymore, I have too much respect for myself.” Your tears had finally broken free, trailing down your cheeks clouded with black from your mascara.
“So that’s it then? We’re done?” Aaron scoffed.
“I guess that’s it.” You gasped.
With that, Aaron grabbed his bag and left. Pausing for a second, before shaking his head and making his leave. The moment you heard the lock click, your knees gave out and you collapsed to the floor as sobs ripped through your body. You laid there for what felt like days, broken and devastated by the loss of what you presumed was your forever. He was gone and you’d have to move on, something you weren’t sure was possible in that moment.
** Present Day **
“Hello? … This is she … Oh! Director Cruz … yes I am getting everything ready. … I can’t thank you enough for this opportunity, truly. … Of course, thank you. … Alright, I will see you Monday. … Thank you … Bye.” You were practically buzzing as you hung up the phone.
“Was that bossman?” Hestia questioned.
“Yes it was! He was checking in and making sure I have everything I need before I start on Monday!” You gushed.
“I can’t believe you are moving back to Virginia. I am going to miss you so, so much!” Hestia whined.
“I am going to miss you too! But it’ll only be like a month until you join me…right?” You inquired.
“Yes! My lease is up then and as long as you’re still cool with us staying with you guys until we find our own place, we will be there!” She explained.
“Ummm of course you guys can stay with us! Free childcare…I’d be an idiot to pass that up!” You laughed as Hestia threw a pillow at you.
You were actively packing up your life and preparing to move back to Virginia. You hadn’t been back there in nearly five years. After breaking things off with Aaron and completing your master’s degree, you’d looked into PhD programs around the U.S. and had ultimately decided on the child psychology program at Colombia University, and while New York wasn’t too far from Virgina, it at least put space between you and Aaron.
About eight months after you and Aaron had broken things off, Nora had come as quite a surprise. Despite the shock that was brought on by your pregnancy, Nora had become the greatest gift you could’ve asked for. Having Hestia around to make up for your lack in baby daddy had brought the two of you incredibly close together.
You had met Hestia in a pretty unconventional way, she was one year into her residency for general surgery, and you had appendicitis. So, she worked hand-in-hand with the surgeon who removed your appendix, and well, the rest had been history. She’s been with you through everything in the last four years, most importantly, she’s helped you raise Nora. You’d been sure to repay the favor, especially within the last year…Hestia’s mom had passed, leaving her 15-year-old sister in her care. The four of you had become your own little family.
“So, what’s your plan tomorrow?” Hestia asked.
“Oh, my parents flew in last week and they drove most of my stuff down on Tuesday. My mom said she wanted it to be set up for us, so we’d be able to move right in, especially since I start work immediately. So, I am just getting the last few things together today and we will head down tomorrow, and I guess we will finish getting everything set up this weekend. They’re staying with me, pretty much until you and Selene can come out. They don’t want me to have to put Nora in daycare.” You explained.
“Aw, I’m so glad they’re able to do that! I know by then you’ll be ready to have them out of your hair, but it is nice that you won’t have to leave her with strangers right away.” Hestia patted your leg. “I do have a question for you though…are you at all worried about running into your ex?”
“I don’t even know if he still works there Hes, it’s a huge place. Who’s to say we even see each other at all?” You shrug.
“You are so full of shit!” Hestia laughs. “Don’t act like you didn’t check to see if he’s still there.”
“Ugh! Yes he’s still the unit chief of the BAU! Of course I looked. And yes. I am terrified, Director Cruz said my unit will most likely work with the BAU more than any other team and I’m not sure I can handle that.” You groaned.
“You can’t avoid him forever babe. Are you going to tell him about Nora?”
“Hes, I don’t even know how I would begin to tell him.” You shook your head. “We ended horribly and she’s four now. What if he freaks out?”
“I mean he might. Hon, you have to tell him, she’s his daughter you know… I don’t think there’s an easy way to do it. Like it’s gonna be ugly no matter what. But at least you’re telling him.” Hestia reasons.
You knew she was right, you had to tell Aaron about Nora, but honestly it could wait. You had an entire unit to run, and you couldn’t let your fear of seeing him and having that conversation distract you from the important work you’d be doing.
Monday came far too quickly. Your parents had been a huge help, and the house was almost completely unpacked. Nora had settled in well with them being there with you both, and you were incredibly grateful to them for supporting you.
You had gotten up early to make breakfast and eat with Nora before heading into the office. When you walked into the FBI building, you made your way to the front desk to get your ID and then headed to the director’s office.
“Welcome! We are so glad to have you and your team joining us at the FBI. Child crimes is something that has needed an official unit for far too long, I am just happy to have you leading it.” Director Cruz greeted you.
“Thank you Director, it is truly an honor to have been asked to lead this team. From my understanding, Theo and Leila will be here tomorrow to begin officially.”
“That’s correct. I want to go over some logistics with you before I show you to your office. As of right now your team will just be the three of you, if we see a need to expand, we will. I am going to assign you and your agents each a specific unit for if you are needed in more than one place. You will be the point person for the Behavioral Analysis Unit and the Sex Crimes Unit, Leila will take point with Violent Crimes and Theo will take point with Cybercrimes. I anticipate that your team will work closest with the BAU and SCU.” Director Cruz explained.
“That all sounds good sir. Are the Unit Chiefs of these departments all aware of our arrival? I just want to ensure they will be prepared to work with us and that there won’t be too much pushback.” You posed.
“I understand. Yes, they have all been informed of your team’s arrival and I have made it very clear that their cooperation is nonnegotiable. At the end of the day, we all have the same goal, so hopefully there will be very little pushback from our agents.” Director Cruz reassured you. “Are you ready to see your office now?”
“Yes sir, thank you.”
Stepping off the elevator onto the sixth floor, you immediately took note of the directory sign listing that the BAU was housed on this floor. It made your stomach churn, knowing that you would most definitely see Aaron every day… not to mention in like the next few minutes.
“Okay so, through this door here is where the BAU is, as I mentioned before. There are two open desks down in the bullpen there for Theo and Leila, and your office is just there. You will be between agents Hotchner and Rossi.” Director Cruz noted as you entered your office. “I’d like to introduce you to agent Hotchner before I let you settle in; I think it is important given how frequently you’ll be working together.”
“Of course, sir.” You nodded.
The ten steps it took to get from your office to his felt like an eternity. You felt sick knowing that you’d have to face the man that had broken you all those years ago. You may have ended things with him officially, but he had truly ended it when he decided that you weren’t worthy of communicating with. At this point you were just hoping that he’d grown up in that area, because you really needed him to take the news of Nora well.
“Agent Hotchner, I have the new child crimes unit chief here for you to meet.” And before Director Cruz could give Aaron your name, it escaped his own lips, framed by his shocked expression. “Oh, you two know each other?”
“Agent Hotchner was a guest lecturer for one of my undergrad courses. He was my inspiration for entering this field.” You supplied.
It wasn’t a total lie…
“Yes, she was a bright student. I’m not surprised to see that she made it to the FBI.” Aaron added.
“Alright then, I will leave you to catch up then.” With that, the Director made his way back to his office.
“How um…how are you?” Aaron inquired.
“I’m well Aaron. I don’t really think anymore small talk is necessary. I should go get settled into my office.” You huffed out a breath before exiting the room.
You made sure to take your time getting settled. Placing some personal things out on your desk and shelves. You had a few plants, some of your favorite pens, some file folders, you hung up your degrees, you organized your psychology books on the shelves along with some law books, and the last, most important detail was a framed photo of you and Nora that you sat next to your lamp.
The day had sped by as you made yourself comfortable on the couch in your office while reading through some emails from other units and some case files of theirs from previous cases to see how they typically ran things. You had been trekking along just fine until a quite knock broke your concentration. Looking up, you weren’t entirely surprised to see it was Aaron standing there.
“I just wanted to check in and see how you were doing. It’s almost eight.” Aaron informed you.
“Oh shit! I didn’t even realize!” You scrambled to check your phone.
“I know that you said small talk wasn’t necessary, and I agree. I would however really like to take you to dinner to catch up, and maybe I can explain some things.” Aaron requested.
“Oh, I um. I’m not sure that’s a good idea…I uh-”
“Please. I really need to explain myself, for how awful I was back then. No excuses, just maybe it’ll help you see my point of view. I’ve worked on myself a lot since then.” Aaron pleaded.
“I have to make a call first.” You conceded.
“Of course. I’ll give you some privacy.” He exited your office.
You quickly called your mom, letting her know that you were going to dinner with a coworker, asking her to take care of the remainder of Nora’s bedtime routine. You also had to inform her you wouldn’t need to be picked up. After which you spoke to Nora wishing her a good night and giving her a kiss through the phone. You then gathered your belongings and met Aaron in the bullpen.
“So, I don’t have my car. My parents are in town, they helped me move, so I left my car with them.” You explained sheepishly.
“No worries, if you’re comfortable with it, I can drive us. I can take you home after as well.” Aaron offered.
“Yeah, that would be great. Thank you.” You offered a gentle smile.
Aaron gestured you to the elevator and you made your way down to the parking garage. Aaron, ever the gentleman made sure to open the car door for you, both in the garage and again at the restaurant. There was a tinge of sadness that flooded your mind as you noticed where Aaron took you.
It had been your go to for date nights back when you were together. It was a recommendation from Dave – who you couldn’t help but feel a bit of resentment toward given the “too young” comment. You wondered if Aaron brought you here on purpose, and he must’ve picked up on your thought.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know why I drove us here. I guess it was muscle memory.” He shook his head.
“It’s okay. I’ve missed the food honestly.” You let out a little chuckle.
“I have too. I uh, I haven’t been here since we ended.” Aaron’s voice trailed off toward the end of his statement.
You were relieved that the night hadn’t been filled with awkward silence. It had, however, been a lot of catching up while Aaron avoided the main reason he brought you here and you avoided talking about Nora. You were both saved by the waiter when he came by to get your order.
“Would you like to see the wine list?”
“No thank you. I’ll just have water.” You were quick to answer.
“Water is fine for me also.” Aaron added.
“Are you ready to order your entrees then?”
“I will have the Mezzi Rigatoni, and she will have the Ricotta Cavatelli.” Aaron declared.
The waiter nodded and walked off. You couldn’t help but look at Aaron with a bit of shock. It is what you always ordered, so you couldn’t be mad, but it felt foreign and all too familiar at the same time. He always ordered for you when you used to go out, he used to know you better than you knew yourself…but that was then.
“I’m so sorry – I don’t know why I did that” Aaron was quick to apologize “Maybe coming here was a bad idea. It’s all too familiar.”
“It’s okay Aaron. I was going to order it anyway. Maybe we should talk about why we’re here.” You suggested.
“Of course. I want to explicitly state that I am not trying to make excuses for how I acted then, because I know I was horrible to you in the end. I do just want to give you some insight as to what I was going through at that time. I really want to communicate now what I didn’t then.” He began.
You nodded for him to continue as the waiter brought your food and drinks.
“So, you know that Haley and I divorced before you and I got together officially. Well once you and I became serious and my time was either spent at work or with you and Jack, Haley didn’t seem to like that. She uh, she tried to fight me for primary custody of Jack.” Aaron explained.
“What? Aaron why didn’t you tell me?”
“Honestly, because I knew you’d take a step back in our relationship. I knew that with how selfless you are, you’d offer to back off and give me more time with Jack and I didn’t want that. I wanted to have you and Jack, so I kept it to myself. Which broke us anyway.” He concluded.
“I really wish you would’ve told me; things may have been different Aaron. I am glad you’re telling me now though.” You desperately wanted to reach for his hand but ultimately decided against it.
Now was as good a time as any, you had to tell him about Nora. He confessed something and it was your turn. And just as you were about to open your mouth, a shrill ring sounded from Aaron’s coat pocket.
“Hotchner. Yes…CCU as well? Yes – I’m with their unit chief now. We’re on our way.” Aaron hung up the phone and looked over at you. “Is your team here in Virginia?”
“Yes, they’re not meant to start until tomorrow.” You provided.
“Call them in, we have a case. Time is of the essence.” Aaron signaled for the check.
The two of you contacted your respective teams as you made your way back to the car. Aaron once again opened your door for you and drove you back to the office. You texted your parents and informed them of the case and asked your mom to let Nora know you’d be home as soon as you could.
30 minutes later you were on a private jet to Chicago with your team and the entirety of the BAU. You had unintentionally sat beside Aaron and began going over the case details with everyone. Aaron had begun explaining the preliminary profile, and you couldn’t help but chime in. Everyone was watching how the two of you riffed and bounced ideas off of one another so naturally.
“Just a reminder, there are new protocols for entry into the crime scene when we are locating the children. We need to follow those exactly to ensure we don’t harm these children more so than they are already. If you have any questions about those procedures feel free to ask me or my agents.” You instructed.
“Right. Now for assignments, Dave, JJ and Theo I’d like you to interview the family of the latest victim –”
“Molly Leland.” You corrected.
“Apologies. Dave, JJ, Theo go to the Leland’s and find out anything you can. Morgan, Prentiss and Leila, you three go to the abduction site, I want to ensure CSU didn’t miss anything. And Reid you’ll be with us at the station to start on the geographical profile.” Aaron finished, gesturing to the two of you.
Six days. It had been six days, and you still hadn’t made any progress on this case. Another child had gone missing, and things were incredibly tense. Both teams had been in the designated room within the precinct going over theories.
“I think we’re looking at this all wrong…” Leila began, “I think the person abducting these kids is younger than initially profiled.”
“Given their disorganization and the lack of consistent victimology, I’d say that’s a pretty plausible theory.” Spencer validated.
“Okay, Leila what were you thinking?” You inquired.
“What if it is a teenager? My thoughts were a kid who grew up in foster care – hence the random victimology. They just want siblings, and that’s why there aren’t any bodies.” Leila suggested.
“I think she’s onto something. If it was a young adult who was newly alone in the world, they’d be looking to find people to surround themselves with.” Morgan continued.
“Garcia, run a search for kids that just aged out of group homes and foster care.” Aaron called to their technical analyst.
“Within the geographical limits I just sent over to you.” Spencer added.
When your phone rang, you excused yourself from the room, answering the call from your mom. You could immediately tell something was wrong given the slight lilt to her voice.
“Mom, what’s wrong?...Why do you need the children’s Tylenol. … Fever? What’s her temperature? … 103? MOM! You need to take her to the ER. … I’m serious! … I’m coming home. … Yes! … I’ll be there as soon as I can. … Take her straight to Bethesda. …Ok. Bye.”
You turned and jumped in surprise at Aaron standing there behind you.
“I just came to let you know we’re splitting up to check out a few leads. Is everything okay?” He asked.
You could tell he had more questions and that he’d more than likely heard the entirety of your conversation but was holding back in asking them.
“Um no. My daughter is sick. She has a pretty high fever. I uh, I need to get home.” You panicked.
“Okay. We will get you home then. I’ll send the teams out and I will make some calls. For now, just try to stay positive okay?” Aaron had always been the calm in the storm.
He sent three separate groups out to find the unsub and had made a few calls back to the director to get you on an emergency flight home. He went as far as to drive you to the hotel and then to the hangar.
“Aaron.”
“Get home to your daughter.” He offered a small smile.
“Thank you.”
Leila had texted to update you that they had caught the unsub and would be heading home in the next hour or so. You had been grateful that the team had successfully closed the case. What was killing you, was the state of your baby girl. She had an excessively high fever, and it just wouldn’t break.
“Miss, there’s someone here to see you.” The nurse informed you.
You looked over at your mom who gave you a nod and you exited the room. Following the nurse to the waiting room, you were surprised to see Aaron standing there.
“I just wanted to see how she’s doing, and how you are.” He declared.
“I um. I’m…” You couldn’t help but break down.
Aaron immediately pulled you into his arms and moved you both over to a couch in the waiting area. He let his hand brush over your hair and whispered reassurances to you. The two of you sat like this for a while before you slowly pulled away.
“Sorry. She just has this fever, and it won’t break, and they don’t know what’s wrong.”
“Sweetheart it’s okay. She will be okay.” Aaron grabbed your hand.
A moment went by and then an alarm sounded. Your gaze shot up as you watched medical staff make their way to Nora’s room. You got up and ran to her room, with Aaron hot on your heels.
“What’s happening? What is going on? Somebody tell me what is going on!” You were practically shouting as Aaron pulled you from the room.
Your mom was pacing in the hallway as Aaron held you back from storming back in. It was killing him to see you this distraught.
“It was a febrile seizure. This can happen when children have such a high fever. We’ve given her a sedative to try and help her rest and we pushed some more Tylenol to aid in breaking the fever.” The doctor explained.
“Is she going to be okay?” You questioned.
“We’re doing everything we can. A nurse will be by soon to take her temperature again.” The doctor walked away.
“I’m going to go find your dad. That way you two can have some privacy.” Your mom said pulling you into a hug.
“This is Nora.” You told Aaron as you ran your hand over her forehead, brushing her curls away from her face.
“She’s beautiful.” He complimented.
You sat in silence for a bit with him just watching Nora. You could tell part of him was itching to ask, but you also knew that Nora was a bit small for her age so he couldn’t be sure that she was his. This moment of avoidance was terminated the second the billing staff came in to get all of your information.
“Hey there, I wanted to confirm all of the info for billing. Do you have your driver’s license and insurance card?” The staff requested.
“Yes, here it is.” You passed her the card.
She filled in all of your information, clicking away on her keyboard while the rest of the room sat with a looming silence. You could feel the question coming. You had been an idiot to give Nora her father’s last name.
“Okay and can you confirm the patient’s name and date of birth for me?”
“Yes, it’s uh…Nora Leigh Hotchner. That’s H-O-T-C-H-N-E-R. Date of birth is 10/4/2019.” You could feel Aaron’s gaze burning into you.
“Alright, here are those cards back. Thank you.” She made her leave.
“Seriously?”
“Aaron, let me explain.”
“Not here.” He motioned toward Nora.
He swiftly made his way out of the room, and you were quick to follow. In noticing your parents, you signaled for them to sit with Nora as you practically chased after Aaron. He didn’t stop until he was in a private waiting room, it was only then that he turned to face you.
“Are you fucking kidding me? She’s mine? And what, you didn’t think to tell me…I don’t know, FOUR YEARS AGO?” Aaron was fuming.
A part of you understood his response, but another part of you was furious that he wasn’t allowing you to explain before flying off the handle.
“Don’t yell at me. If we’re going to do this, we will talk like adults. I will not sit here and allow you to berate me.” You held your ground.
“Okay.”
“I found out I was pregnant after I left for New York. And at that point Aaron, I was so devastated by our breakup, and I just didn’t think I could be around you. I know that’s not fair, but I had thought you and I were forever and then we’d just ended. I was going to tell you last week at dinner, but then we got called in. Aaron I am so sorry, and I know that doesn’t make up for the time you’ve lost, but I also need you to know that I did what I felt like I had to do.” You let your gaze fall to the floor in guilt.
“I understand. I’m not happy, but I get it.” He reached for your hand.
You accepted the gesture and furthered it by pulling him into an embrace. He wrapped his arms around you and rested his head atop your own.
“I’ve told her about you.” You whispered.
“What?”
“I’ve told her about you. She’s seen pictures and heard stories. She knows you Aaron.”
He held you a little tighter and you nuzzled a little closer. After a few moments he suggested that you both get back to your girl. You both sat with her all night, letting your parents go home. At three in the morning, the night nurse gave you the good news, her fever had finally broken. The next day, Aaron drove the two of you home, leaving with a scheduled family day where you would introduce Jack and Nora. You had also discussed talking to the kids about their birthday party (since their birthday’s are only 3 days apart). With Jack turning seven and Nora turning 5 in a little more than a month, you wanted to plan something big for the two of them.
** One Month Later **
“Okay, the bounce house is set up and the petting zoo guy just arrived. Where should he set up?” Penelope asked.
“On the southeast side!” Dave hollered.
You were setting up the last of the hors d’oeuvres, while the members of both the CCU and BAU helped get Dave’s backyard set up for the kids birthday party. You were so incredibly grateful for this family you’d come to have.
“We’re here with cake!” Hestia announced.
“Hes! Selene! Hey guys, you can set that up on that round table over there.” You pointed.
Selene came over and gave you a hug, you snuck a snack into her hand and nodded over to your bag.
“My iPad is in there with the Twilight movies all downloaded. Dave has a sitting room down the hall to the right.” You winked at her.
“Thanks mom!” Selene said hugging you once more before heading off.
“Do you have another kid I don’t know about?” Aaron joked, wrapping his arms around you from behind.
“Ha ha! No, Selene just calls me mom. We’ve both taken care of her since their mom passed, but it became an inside joke that I acted as the mom to Nora, Selene and Hestia.” You huffed a laugh.
“It’s true!” Hestia confirmed, before taking a case of juice boxes outside to the cooler.
“You know, I wouldn’t be opposed to it.” Aaron murmured, pressing a kiss to your neck.
“Opposed to what?” You giggled.
“More kids.”
“Aaron! We only just got back together, and we are at our children’s birthday party! Behave yourself.” You hissed.
“I know, but this time around, I’m not letting you go. I plan on marrying you and I just want you to know that I’m open to more children, one day, when and if you’re ready.” He punctuates it with a kiss to your lips.
“Well, I’m open to it too. And whenever you ask, my answer is yes Aaron. You’ve proven to me that you’ve grown since we ended before and I can’t stand the thought of going without you again so, I’m in this, for as long as you’ll have me.” You kissed him once more before carrying a tray outside to the party.
Aaron smiled and grabbed his phone, opening it to check the status of his order. There on his screen was confirmation that your ring had been customized, made, sized, quality checked, and would be shipping out soon.
He couldn’t wait to spend forever with you.

Ok thank you and this is all very cool and useful.
I do absolutely wanna use some stuff from dotdd (I’d also like to play it sometime if I can find the time) - I already know that I’ve heard Oliver and Esther kinda get more of a personality in it which is enough reasoning alone for me but the idea of more characters and luciens diary and Cerboreas having a backstory?? Yeah that definitely sounds cool.
(We kinda already guessed Oliver was lonely, he doesn’t really seem to have any friends aside from Phil, and I assume Phil’s got his own friends separate to Oliver just cause of the ages they are.)
I will say more drippy is definitely another thing that we also wanna have more of, both more drippy being silly and mean and funny and also more drippy being serious, or talking about Alicia, or being more obvious about the care he and Oliver have for each other. Just more drippy he’s awesome.
(We actually have character focuses for each season (we’ve separated it into 4 seasons total) with season 1 Oliver and Drippy, then early season 2 is Esther and late season 2 is Swaine, season 3 is Oliver and Drippy again but now they’re finding the stones and putting the wand together and we see more of the evolution between them at the start vs now, and then season 4 is pretty much all about Cassiopeia.)
The politics is very interesting, probably not something we’ll heavily focus on but I do really wanna include it in some noticeable way.
And yeah this was a very broad question I gave you, I probably will send follow-up asks about more specific stuff (no idea when I’d send them, this is kinda a longer project me and my sister are doing on and off), but thank you even then cause you’ve given some really cool things to think on and figure out despite the massive question this kinda was lol
Hi! Me and my sister have been, kinda as just a fun creative activity, basically making notes and planning out how we would do ni no kuni (specifically white witch cause that’s all we’ve played) if it were a tv show. We’re changing some stuff, keeping others, expanding on more, etc.. Seeing as you are the no. 1nnk fan on tumblr, I was curious if there’s any lore or cool things or just anything that you reckon we absolutely gotta keep or do something with. (Also have a lovely day ur delightful)
oh goddd this question is so broad. man. it's a good one though
okay. the thing with a wotww tv show is that of course the viewer does not have the privilege of looking at the wizard's companion which is where a lot of lore is kept. this means i think you should make the small amount of politics surrounding non-magical people that's present in the story rather than in the companion much more prevalent. like obviously swaine is a given but stuff like khulan and kublai's romance being taboo because one is a great sage and one is a non-magical sky pirate. how lucien became shadar because he saw the horrors magic inflicted on society and tried to stop it. my pinned post goes into it in detail if you wanna read it so i won't rehash everything it says
what else. i'm biased but i will always advocate for more drippy content. in the context of a show you have more space for drippy to talk about alicia and have it all come together for the allie reveal to be insane. level 5 missed that opportunity and i will always be upset about it
obviously also expanding on esther and even swaine's backstories. i mean esther doesn't even have one
i recognise that you have only played wotww so i won't go into any of the major differences between it and dotdd but hear me out... i think minor differences in dotdd should be kept because just in general dotdd imo does a lot of things better than wotww. things like yuri (A CHARACTER. YURI AS IN THE CHARACTER'S NAME) on the tombstone trail, cerboreas's dotdd backstory, oliver being a fairly lonely/bullied kid growing up, perdida... and lucien's diary, and everything to do with it. lot of these concepts will be unfamiliar to you so this paragraph is kind of just me spitballing what i would want in a show like this at this point don't take it as me saying you should do this if you don't know what i'm talking about LMAO
umm. this IS a broad question so if you have any specific like. arcs or characters or whatever send me another ask. finally have fun with it and i'd love to see what you have once you're done :] (and thank you for the compliment :])
#For your pleasure if you’re curious I’m gonna be just sorta giving some one-off fun things we’re doing with it here in the tags#for example: Solomon is now a fairy. He’s still a bitch of course#and getting the 3 stones for mornstar is now going to parallel the 3 trials in the temple of trials#We’ve decided fairies just sorta Appear from magic rather than getting birthed by the fairy god mother#(but we’re keeping her as a character - just changing it so she’s just one of the oldest fairies who’s very embarrassing about them all)#We’ve got the idea of a makeover episode while in Hamelin; where drippy points out Oliver’s been wearing the same things for ages#and Esther’s clothes are built for the desert not autumnia and she needs at least a shawl or something#and swaine is ugly#its silly and it’s fun and more time in Hamelin means more time for swaine to act weird and suspicious and competent#Oh and finally Allie and miss Leila were together#because it just kinda felt like they were anyway and I think it would be nice#NNK rewrite#< that’s just gonna be my tag I think for organising this when I talk about it. It’s not really a rewrite but yknow it works

—MY DEAREST FRIEND AND ENEMY. (2/5)
pairing: ona batlle x fem!reader
synopsis: you and ona become much closer, but in the wrong way; an offer on the horizon threatens to tear you apart.
word count: 3.7k
warnings: description of collision in football
PART I, PART III, PART IV, PART V
Sports Illustrated: USWNT International Y/N Y/L/N Scores in First Game Back From Injury “Y/N Y/L/N will not stop scoring. The Man City star returns to action with a stunning header in a home game against Everton since picking up an injury this summer in the CONCACAF final against Canada. Though the U.S. emerged victorious thanks to Alex Morgan’s penalty kick, Y/L/N was forced off in the 68th minute with a torn hamstring. She was expected to be sidelined for 3 months. […]”
You skimmed through the article, waiting for your coffee to brew. It has been an arduous few months as you focused on rehabilitation. You were supposed to be match-fit at the start of the season, but the physios determined you needed at least a few more weeks before you could play. Your thigh still felt a bit tight every time you stretched them. Nonetheless, you were back to playing, that was all that mattered.
It was early November, and the winds were picking up in Manchester, and yet you were warm.
“Morning,” you said, smiling at the figure waddling into the living room.
Bratwurst was wagging his tail by her side, no doubt looking for more food as if you hadn’t fed him half an hour ago.
“Good morning,” Ona said, rubbing her eyes.
“Coffee?” You nodded towards the machine.
“No, I have to get to training. Thanks, though.”
“In my shirt?” You smirked at looked down at her top. Sure enough, it was the old T-shirt you lent her after you were done last night.
“Hah hah.” She mocked you, but then took off the shirt, leaving her top half completely bare, and threw it at your face. “Obviously not.”
You let your eyes travel freely, as she went back into your room and returned wearing the clothes she came in last night.
“Looks like you’re back to being your insufferable self.” She walked to where you sat, putting on her necklace. “Can’t even go on social media without seeing people praising your goal.”
“All in a day’s work,” you said, grinning.
Ona rolled her eyes and put on her shoes. “I’m glad you’re back, but I won’t go easy on you.”
You stood up and pecked her lips.
“I never asked you to,” you leaned closer, ducking your face into her neck. “Maybe when we’re alone.”
She snickered quietly and patted your cheek. “Try not to miss me too much. Bye-bye, Bratwurst.”
The pup sat by the door as he watched her close it behind her. Ever since she started spending time at your apartment, it felt like he liked her more, always following her around and snuggling with her as she gave him pets.
Ona had been coming over since the kiss at the end of last season with the premise of meaningless sex. You both had an arrangement, and you were committed to keeping to it. You were surprised when she suggested it, thinking her not to be the type, but Ona continues to surprise you.
You had only meant to meet up over dinner to talk about what happened, but the night ended with her hands tangled in your hair and your legs tangled in her sheets. The ups and downs these past few months never deterred you from seeing each other. In fact, Spain losing out in the Euros prompted her to come over and forget about it for a night. In a way, you both had each other.
Your teammates at Man City were especially amused whenever you’d forget to cover up and come to practice with marks on your neck.
“Who’s the unlucky gal this time, Y/N?”
“Have you been busy while you were injured?”
Every time, you would just shake your head with a grin because you’d never kiss and tell. Also, because Leila and Laia would flip out if they knew you’d been screwing their teammate on the national team.
Your arrangement worked for a while, both of you still too young and too committed to football to think about anything else. While a lot of your colleagues would disagree, it was the excuse you told yourself to fully admit that what you felt for Ona was beyond just carnal desires.
You were treading on dangerous waters, your feelings bubbling to the surface every time you saw the girl. It was much more challenging to keep them under wraps, especially when you had to play against her every couple of months. From what people knew about you two, you were rivals, and that was your relationship. Rumors of a romance surfaced too, amongst younger fans, but it was the result of baseless shipping. If only they knew.
Ona wasn’t an incredibly affectionate person, not by a mile. The only times you would catch her lowering her guard by the tiniest of margins were when she was tired, maybe then she’d let you cuddle her after sex. But you remembered when Spain was knocked out of the Euros way too soon, and she was crying on the phone to you. You had just won the CONCACAF with the US across the Atlantic, and yet all you wanted was to hold her.
And so that was what you did. Two days later, after you were dismissed from your international duties, you flew back to Manchester and waited for her. Ona liked to be the little spoon whenever she was sad, and you were very happy to oblige. If she was feeling generous, she would even thank you for it. As much as you wanted to, you never teased her about it, because you knew what you had was fragile, and a slight mention of it could topple everything to the ground.
That was how it was with your Spanish beauty.
“Wooooooow . . . You’ve got a handful,” said your teammate, Chloe, as she stood in your kitchen, eating your chips.
“Yup,” you pressed your lips thinly, grabbing some seasoning from the cupboard. “That’s my life right now.”
You proceeded to tell Chloe everything one day, omitting a few saucy details, of course.
“Have you tried talking to her about it?”
“That’s the thing, though. There’s nothing to talk about. I can’t just walk up to her and demand something that wasn’t part of the arrangement to begin with.”
“I know, but it’s clearly affecting you. You like her, don’t you?”
“No.” A few seconds of silence followed, and Chloe was looking at you with a glare. “Okay, I think she’s cute, like, really cute.”
“I think you should talk to her, Y/N,” Chloe said. “Worst case scenario, you lot stop whatever you’re doing with each other behind all of our backs. Best case scenario, you date her.”
You smirked, but nothing no usual quippy or smug remark came out. “I should try,” you spoke quietly.
Chloe nodded expectantly and continued eating her chips, now. “I can’t believe it. You tricked all of us! It was Batlle all this time!”
“I didn’t think you’d come tonight,” you whispered quietly into the room, sitting by the edge of your bed.
Ona was under the covers, on her phone. “Why? ‘Cause we played against each other?”
You nodded bashfully.
“I’m here, aren’t I?” she set her phone down. “Or did you not want me to come?”
“It’s a little too late for that, don’t you think?” You said, gesturing at the clothes strewn on the floor.
You let her study you for a moment, finding the ruffled sheets much more interesting instead.
“What’s wrong?” She said.
“Nothing.”
“You’re too quiet.” Her voice was low and calming. She reached out and caressed your hand. You wanted to bury your face in her neck and be done with the conversation instead.
“I was just wondering . . . would you like to come over a bit earlier from now on?”
Your question made her look at you with a puzzled expression. “Have I been staying too late?”
“No, no. I mean—you can stay as late as you want, but come a bit earlier. I can cook for us, and then we can just sit and . . . talk.”
You fumbled with your fingers, your eyes drifting up to her, seeing the realization dawn on her. She exhaled. “Okay, that sounds nice . . . but as friends, right?”
“Um . . . no?”
“Y/N,” Ona breathed. Her silence was killing you. Finally, she looked up. “That wasn’t our arrangement, and I’d like for it to stay as we’ve agreed. You’re okay with that, right?”
“Yeah,” you lied, caressing her arm and flashing a smile. “It’s for the best.”
She nodded but watched you closely. “Come here,” she whispered.
You obliged, letting her pull you into her embrace. A searing kiss followed, leaving you to straddle her bare waist.
A short gasp left your lips. “Fuck me, Ona.” You pleaded quietly, hoping she’d fuck you until you forget the conversation ever happened. But you also hoped she’d go slow and make love to you, proving that she’d finally reciprocated your feelings.
You’ve decided that you wanted both. Maybe then, you’d finally get what you wanted.
You didn’t know that Ona was scared to let you in too, so she settled for sleeping with you.
You had been an obsession of hers for three years, a game she played besides having to focus on the actual game she was paid to play. But now, here she was—sleeping with someone who could possibly be her mortal enemy. She didn’t know when, but suddenly, she couldn’t bring herself to see you harmed.
She wanted you, but that was the selfish part of her speaking.
In the morning, you had expected her to be there, but your bedside was empty.
Ona moved through her days like a ghost. She didn’t expect it to be this hard three years ago when she first set foot in Manchester. She didn’t expect a forward to make her life this hard, or that she would fall in love with you. Every minute she spent tangled up in bed with you were minutes where nothing else outside that bedroom mattered, and it scared her.
It scared her that only you could make her feel that way, that something she had spent so hard working towards for herself, you did so easily for her.
She thinks of the nights after the Euros when she practically stayed over all day, and how you took care of her. She thinks of the cheeky winks you would send her way whenever she played against you, and the not-so-innocent brushes that you sneak in whenever she defended you. She think of your face when she shut you down, and how quickly your walls came back up.
She thinks of you the entire time she was on the Zoom call with her agent.
“You need to decide soon, Ona,” her agent had told her. “Barcelona doesn’t wait for anyone.”
It was a no-brainer, but she thinks of you all the time.
The referee blew the whistle and the 90 minutes were over. You collapsed on your knees as the Etihad erupted into cheers. Man City had reached the semifinals of the Women’s Champions League for the first time ever in the history of the women’s club. You would be playing Wolfsburg next, but you couldn’t care less about that right then. You just wanted to celebrate with your teammates.
You wished that you could celebrate with Ona too.
You sent her a text much later in the night, but she didn’t respond. Thinking it to be too late for her to come over, you went to bed, soaking in your victory.
But then, she didn’t respond the next day, then the day after that. A week later, she still hadn’t responded. Then the first leg of the semifinal came, and City drew 2-2 to Wolfsburg. You had given her space to deal with whatever she didn’t want you to know and knew double-texting made you look desperate, but you have had enough of the silence.
A vote of confidence would have been nice Sent 4:29pm
Nothing.
You weren’t going to put your life on hold for her. You wouldn’t give her that satisfaction.
The week of the return leg, you had almost forgotten all about Ona from the amount of training you were doing.
“Okay, ladies. Gather around,” said Chris, the assistant coach. “This will be our last practice session before the Champions League game. We’re gonna do some passing to start with, then a set-piece practice, and we’ll close off with a 5v5 scrimmage. That sound good?”
You were starting to feel more confident than jittery. Your movements were sure and steady, so were your finishes. Big games never deterred you, but it was the added fact of Ona not responding to your text that caused you to check your phone every time you were able to.
“No phones, Y/N,” Chris said, and raised an eyebrow.
“Sorry, Coach. Just checking news from family,” you lied. He extended his hand anyway, and you begrudgingly handed your phone over.
“I can’t have you distracted, Y/N. The match is tomorrow.”
“I know, I know. I’ve been good, though, haven’t I?” You grinned, taking a swig of water.
Practice ended later than scheduled, but you didn’t mind. You needed the extra preparation, and you were glad to have done that with your teammates. Chris finally gave you your phone back, like a naughty student, and you quickly checked your messages. Still nothing. It wasn’t like this was the biggest game of your life or anything.
Going to the news, flipping through articles upon articles on politics, your eyes landed on one about sports.
The Busby Babe: Ona Batlle Set For Barcelona Return “Manchester United and Spain star right back Ona Batlle is reportedly on the verge of completing a move back to Catalonia, rejoining Barcelona Femeni at the end of her contract with the Red Devils. […]”
The match of your life started. You were on the left wing as you always were, playing inverted so Laia would be running the flank. You scored one, but Wolfsburg got one back towards the end of the first half.
“Make those runs, ladies. If you see them coming at you, call out to your teammates. Use the third man to break free of the defense.” Gareth pointed at the board, showing hypothetical scenarios that the team could exploit for an opening.
“Hey,” Chloe sat next to you, her forehead glistening. “You alright?”
You uttered a small ‘yeah’ and closed your hand over her sweat-clad one over your knee. You couldn’t be distracted. You owed it to Chloe and everyone else on this team.
You were slamming your fist on the door, but you didn’t care. Your jaw clenched as you swayed on your feet waiting for her to open up.
“What the fuck, Y/N?!”
“Why didn’t you tell me?” You stepped into her apartment.
Her face went pale. “How did you know?”
You let out a laugh. “You’re pathetic. You’re a coward for not even saying a single word.”
The ball was sent over long from deep aiming towards you. You called for Filippa for a one-two, but once you dribbled, you were tackled inside the box. You put your hand up at the referee but huffed in disbelief when she only shook her head and granted a corner.
Slapping your hand on the grass, you sprung up with a grunt. It must have looked like you were throwing a tantrum, but you couldn’t care less, you wanted to win.
“I didn’t know how to tell you.”
“So you were just not gonna say anything at all?! You owe me that much to—”
“I don’t owe you anything, Y/N.” She snapped. She had never snapped at you before, not while off the pitch. “You know what we have is just sex. That’s all we ever had and that’s all we will ever have.”
Tears formed in your eyes. You felt like a kid again, being scolded and taken for granted. “Please, don’t do this.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N, but this isn’t some fantasyland,” Ona said firmly. “I told you what I wanted, and I thought you agreed.”
There was a period of struggle over the ball soon after, mostly in midfield. You were growing increasingly frustrated as passes continued being cut off just before they reached the attacking third.
“Come on, guys! Let’s finish this!” You called out to your teammates in an attempt to hype them up before a throw-in.
Your irritation mounted, but you told yourself to quickly snap out of it. I need to stay calm, my team needs me. It proved quite difficult when Lena Oberdorf slithered up from behind to mark you. She dug an elbow into your back to keep you at bay, and when you moved, she moved. So you pushed back, much harder than you anticipated. It set her off. Good, stay off me.
Soon, you heard the ref’s hurried whistle, as Lena shoved you back. “The fuck are you pushing for?!” Your opponent seethed, getting all up in your face to challenge you.
You were feeling bold, so you smirked at her. “Come closer, see what I’ll do. Or do you just want a piece of this, huh?”
It wasn’t your best quality, you admitted it, but you liked it when you set off an opponent. You didn’t care when Lena was hurling insults at you in German as she was being led away. What mattered was that you had gotten in her head, and it would be much easier to break her defense from now on. The referee blew her whistle again, and a few teammates of yours attempted to separate you from Lena.
“Sei ruhig, Mann. Bleib’ da drüben.” Be quiet, man. Stay over there. Waving at her dismissively, you saw the way her eyes looked like they would pop out of her sockets in fury, knowing she didn’t expect you to know German. You couldn’t help but feel a sick sense of satisfaction.
“Last warning, Y/L/N.” The referee warned before continuing the match.
There would always be one player that completely drove the opposition crazy, and you would gladly be that asshole, so your teammates wouldn’t have to. You wanted to win.
“You kissed me first. I thought . . .”
“Please, don’t make this any harder than it already is,” Ona said quietly.
“I thought we had something, Ona,” you tried to steady your voice. You knew you sounded pathetic, but you never believed Ona could betray you in such a way.
She only pressed her lips thin. “We don’t. The only thing we have is our arrangement and however you feel about me on the pitch.”
Bunny scored in the 75th minute, and that would be the last goal for City in this match. The game went to extra time, and you could feel your teammates getting tired and sloppy in possession. You were tired too, but you wanted to keep fighting, anything to keep the thought of Ona out of your head.
You were so focused on the ball that you didn’t see a defender coming up beside you, her body colliding with yours in an attempt to redirect the ball. You fell to the ground with a thud, the stinging impact beginning to spread across your back. You felt the wind getting knocked out of you, your vision beginning to fade until all you could see were the lights atop the stadium, until those faded too.
The next thing you knew, you were on your side. Then the uncomfortable pain in your gut started to become more apparent, and you felt like you couldn’t breathe anymore. You gasped for air, just as a couple of your teammates knelt beside you.
“Y/N, can you hear me? Medic!” You heard a voice almost like Demi’s call out.
You didn’t know who knocked into you, you didn’t care anymore, because you had the overwhelming urge to throw up whilst still struggling to breathe.
“Can’t . . . breathe,” you wheezed out, tears starting to fill your eyes. You wanted to go home.
One of the medics shone a flashlight in your eyes. “Pupils are PEARL,” she said. “Okay, I need you to try and take deep breaths for me, alright, darling?”
You drew a shaky breath. There was a wheezing noise, in and out. In and out. The more you did, the easier it got. Your head was dizzy when you stood up, just as you heard applause ringing throughout the stadium.
Chloe appeared in front of you and offered her arm while a medic took your other as you walked toward the sideline.
“You’re alright, love,” she flashed you a warm smile and wiped away the stray tear that lingered on your cheek.
It was much too unfortunate, because you still had a lot more to give, but you were done for the night. Gareth knew it too, so he sent Hempo in to take your place.
You finally let the tears fall freely when the final whistle came.
“When do you leave?”
“In two weeks.”
A scornful laugh escaped you that you didn’t even bother to hide. “You didn’t even have the decency to tell me, not as your booty call, but as your friend.”
But you were kidding yourself. You knew Ona and you were never friends, never quite lovers either. Only two people floating around in a sexual limbo who were too scared to admit to themselves what was right in front of them. Now she was leaving, and you would never get the chance.
It didn’t matter anymore, any of it. You had a Champions League semifinal to play.

10 Things I Hate About You (4) II Alexia Putellas x Reader
Part 1 I Part 2 I Part 3 I Masterlist I word count: 2687
A/N: Thank you so much for over 600 followers ! We hope you enjoy the requested finale of the 10 Things I Hate About You series. ❤️
Barcelonas next game ended with a 1:0 win against Atletico Madrid. Adrenaline was still rushing through your veins when the referee blew the final whistle while your teammates surrounded you, congratulating you on your goal in the 76th minute.
Alexia and you shared a short smile. You gave her a grateful nod. Her spectacular pass set you up for success. Before you two could exchange words of appreciation, Lieke Martens pointed towards the pitchside where a journalist with a microphone in hand stood; "They want you two to answer the press questions."
You sighed, feeling the man’s attention on you; "Can‘t we just celebrate our win in peace?" With a shrug, Alexia passed you; "This is our job too." "Plus, it would be boring without the goal scorer.", Mapis voice appeared behind you. Her hands grabbing your shoulders and gently pushing you into the direction of the camera.
Laughing, you held up your hands; "Okay, okay, I‘m coming." Alexia turned back to you with a wink; "Good girl." You caught up with her and bumped your hip against hers; "Do I have to remind you who scored?" "Remind the reporters.", Alexia rolled her eyes with a smile. "Not necessary, I think they saw it.", you whispered as you approached the journalist who beamed at you two.
"Congrats on you win!", he greeted you. You smiled politely; "Thank you." "That was a great win. Must feel good, right?", he grinned. You poked Alexias upper arm with your finger; "Yes but as our captain here loves to remind us all the time, it‘s still a long way to go." "It is.", Alexia agreed.
Apparently, she had caught the journalist’s attention; "Alexia, did you enjoy your assist tonight or would you have preferred to score yourself?" "A goal is always great but if the team wins and I made an assist, that‘s okay too.", she replied, the corners of her mouth slightly lifting.
Satisfied with both of your performance, you added; "To be fair, it was great that something from training transferred so well to the match." "We worked hard on our on-field communication.", Alexia nodded.
The face of the journalist lit up with interest; "Could you tell us more about that." "Well, maybe some team events helped with that too.", you laughed, but Alexias’s face went serious again; "And extra training sessions." "Exactly, but it was worth it." The journalist nodded slowly; "We can see that. What do you expect from the next games?"
"We‘ll continue to build on that.", Alexia answered courtly. "And hopefully score a few more goals.", you smirked. Finally, Alexias expression softened; "It‘s your turn for an assist now." "I‘ll be ready." "Thank you for your time.", the journalist ended the interview. "Thank you."
Mapi waited for you to right in front of the tunnel; "They couldn’t get enough of you two." "It was just a couple questions. Like usual.", Alexia shrugged, walking past Mapi and straight into the dressing room. While Mapi and you followed her, you explained; "Honestly, it was nothing special, Mapi."
“Sure.”, the defender shrugged. Annoyed with your teammate Alexia demanded from the younger player: ”Maps, stop looking at us like that.” “Fine, is like that better.”, Mapi grimaced. The midfielder shook her head in amusement: “No.” “You’re no fun.”, the defender sighed dramatically.
You winced when Leila suddenly stepped from the dark to the light parts of the tunnel, wearing a bright grin on her face:” Oh Ale had fun during the interview though.” “You two are so annoying.”, Alexia stated.
A devilish smile appeared on Mapis lips: “You know what’s more annoying?” “That we paused the celebrations for that unnecessary conversation?”, you asked her. Teasingly your captain added: “That you talk too much?” “Now but you’ll realize that in time.”, the blonde defender promised. Immediately Alexia gave her a frowning look:”What?”
“Mapi, you played great.”, your sister exclaimed cheerfully. The cheeks of Mapi were turning red because of her compliment. Even though you secretly thought they would make an adorable couple you couldn’t help but saying out loud:” Mapi, comes first, huh?”
“Sorry, you played great too.”, she answered blushing. Now it was Alexia who assisted your sister instead of you with reassuring her: “Ignore her, your sister casually wants to remind everyone who scored the important goal tonight.” “Not true!”, you playfully hit her arm.
Innocently your sibling looked between you two:” She couldn’t have done it without that fantastic assist.” “That’s true.”, you had to admit this much. Was that gratefulness in Alexias eyes, it must have been when she whispered: “Thank you.”
Something between your captain and you had change, and it wasn’t solely because you won that game. But you were too scared to further think about what the change was and what it exactly meant for the both of you.
You could hear your sister speaking softly to your teammate:” Mapi, I can’t believe they manage to talk like normal people now.” “Wait for it.”, louder Mapi continued, turning her heads toward the older player, Ale can you believe it? She has not seen the coast outside of Barcelona yet?!” “You haven’t?!”, Alexia’s shock was written all over her face.
Nervously you put a loose hair string behind your ear: ”No, I haven’t found the time for that yet.” “How long have you been here now? Do you only play football and sleep?”, your captain pressed on. Her fury caught you off guard. She was the one in the team whose life was centred around football the most. “A few months. And no, I go to the university too.” “Still. You haven’t seen anything of Barcelona yet.”, Alexia muttered in disbelief.
Quite offended by her reaction you tried to defend yourself:“I saw the city.” “The touristy spots, right.”, she shot back, letting you almost no time to breath. Looking at her was enough to continue to rant:” Knew it. Be ready tomorrow morning. I’ll pick you up before sunrise.” “Okay, captain.”, you replied too stunned in what direction your conversation went. Satisfied Alexia nodded:” Good.”
She already turned away from you to leave when you finally were able to gather your thoughts again; "Will Nala join us?" "Seriously?", Alexia replied, more annoyed than surprised. You shrugged with an innocent grin; "Just asking.""At this point, I think you like the dog more than me.", she rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her amusement.
"Possible…" "Wow." "I’m just joking… With your dog, I can’t play like we did today.", you joked. Alexia tilted her head in thought before turning away from you again; "Probably not. I’ll see you tomorrow… with Nala." She smiled at you over her shoulder and left.
When Alexia arrived at your apartment the next morning, it was dark still dark outside. Yawning, you opened the door for her. For a second, you stopped mid-yawn. She looked so put together for that time of day. "Morning.", she greeted you. You stepped aside to let her in.
"Morning. It‘s still so early so I made us two coffees to go.", you replied and led her into your kitchen where you handed her a to-go cup. Gratefully, she took it but her gaze was fixed on you; "Thanks. Uhm…" "Yes?", you prompted her to go on.
She cleared her throat; "You might want to put on something other than your PJ pants." She took a sip of her coffee, but you caught her smiling smugly into her cup before you looked down, only to find that you were still in your plaid flannel pants. "Oh my god. Wait right here, I’ll be back in a minute.", you laughed about yourself and disappeared into your bedroom to change.
While you slipped into a pair of soft cotton pants, your eyes met Alexias in the mirror. You must have forgotten to close the bedroom door. "Stop staring.", you grinned. Your teammate hid another smile in her coffee; "I’m not." "Sure, Alexia. I‘m ready, we can go.", you replied with a smirk, taking your own coffee and your bag. "Finally. We can’t miss the sunrise."
You followed her to her car. It was too early still, so you both were silent for most of the ride. Only the radio was playing quietly. Alexia parked close to a beach just as the first rays of sunlight came up. The beach was completely empty. You both sat down in the cold sand and watched in awe.
"This is beautiful.", you whispered. Alexia smiled to herself; "I told you, you can’t miss this." "Thank you for taking me here." "You’re welcome, really." You looked at Alexia. The morning light painted her in a golden glow, and you couldn’t help but stare. "Maybe there is more than just uni, football and sleep.", you admitted. Alexia nodded; "There is. Trust me."
You closed your eyes letting the sound of the waves wash over you:” Like moments like these. I wish one could collect them into a jar and when one has a bad day or time you could open it and feel the joy from that day again.” Memories of the times you were injured came back to the surface level of your mind.
With a free hand you let the sand rinse through your fingers to distract yourself from those images. “But if you could go back to this moment all the time.. would you not lose the joy of this moment?”, Alexia asked you carefully. “I’ve not thought about that yet but you’re probably right it would lose what made the moment special in the first place.”
With a serious smile the midfielder confessed: “It would. I like coming here in the morning when no one’s here yet.” “I can see why.”, you told her. Almost shy, Alexia turned her face back to the water: “It’s nice and quiet.” There was something between you that clearly wasn’t there before. Her grin deepened while she added:” Well, usually. When I’m alone with Nala.” “Oh, trust me I can do quiet too.”, you announced as you pulled out the book of your bag which you were currently reading.
Your teammate shook her head slightly:” You know I was just joking, right? But it’s so cool, you look so at peace right now.” “That’s because I am if there was not a voice interrupting my peace.”, you teased her, in the meantime Narla took refuge in your lap. Your comment earnt you an eyeroll by your captain: “Sorry.”
Even in her annoyance you had to admit that she looked beautiful as the sun made her skin appear golden. “Wait, you look so pretty in that light.”, you exclaimed before taking a photo of her. A surprised laugh escaped Alexia’s mouth: “What are you doing?”
“Taking a picture of you because you looked quite happy, so I tried to capture that on camera.”, you stammered. With a stern look on the midfielder’s face, she urged you: “Give me the camera.”
“Okay.”, you handed her your camera, it was one of the thing’s you treasured most as it reminded you of the parent you had lost and shared that passion with. Your teammate seemed satisfied with that object in her hands: “Thanks.”
So, you continued reading your book peacefully, during the reading you somehow managed to steal your captains green cap but she was too immersed in taking pictures of you.
You both enjoyed the silence of the early morning and each others company. But with the time passing, the beach started to fill. With a sigh, you closed your book and looked up to Alexia; "Do you think we should head back? It‘s getting crowded." "Yes, let‘s leave.", Alexia agreed, stood up and brushed the sand off her jeans. You put your book back into your bag anf followed suit; "Alright."
"Come on, Narla!", Alexia called her dog and you three walked back towards her car. You watched the landscape pass on your way home but with each passing minute, you could feel your eyes closing. You didn’t even realize you fell asleep until Alexia stopped her car in front of your building. "We’re already there?", you yawned.
"Yes. But you don’t have to get out yet. I can drive around the block for a little longer.", Alexia suggested. You were taken aback by the thoughtfulness. "I want to stay for a little while longer if that’s okay.", you admitted, your cheeks turning slightly red. Alexia smiled softly and started her car again; "Alright. Go back to sleep then."
Narla cuddled onto your lap and her warmth made you immediately fall asleep again. When you woke up again, you realized that only a few minutes must have passed. The sun was still high up in the sky and you were still driving through your neighborhood.
Once again, Alexia stopped in front of your appartment. You turned towards Alexia; "Thank you for the day. I really enjoyed it." "Me too.", she replied. You leaned forward to kiss her on the cheek; "So, I’ll see you in training tomorrow?" A light blush spread across Alexias face; "Uhm… yes, sure." Smiling, you got out of her car; "Perfect."
Before you could open your front door, you paused on the sidewalk as you realized you were still wearing Alexias green cap. At the same time, Alexia opened her car window; "Hey?" "Yes?", you turned around. She nodded towards your head; "You should keep it. It looks cute on you." "Thanks.", you absentmindedly touched the cap. "Wait.", Alexia called again while getting out of her car and crossing the distance between you two. "Huh?", you asked before her lips were suddenly on your lips.
You stared at her; "Wait, what was that?" "I don’t know.", she answered truthfully, obviously confused herself. You grabbed her by the wrist; "No, do it again please." "You don’t have to tell me twice." A smile appeared on Alexias face. She kissed you again. This time, more patiently but just as hungry.
A loud squeal came from Mapi’s mouth when she spotted you wearing Alexia’s cap right before your team training was about to start: ”Oh my god!” “Mapi, it’s not a big deal.”, the captain reassured the defender who was beaming at your sight. Amused you added: “Honestly, calm down, Mapi.”
“Don’t tell me you’re dating.”, your teammate almost screamed excitedly. “Well, I hate to say it, but we don’t hate each other anymore.”, you winked at her. Cheerfully Mapi pulled out her smartphone from her pocket:“So that’s a yes! I’ll have to call your sister.”
“About damn time you call her, while you’re at It you should tell her that you would love to go on a date with her Mapi!”, Alexia suggested grinning. Inspired by what she saw the younger player nodded: “You know what? Maybe I will.” “Don’t worry, she’ll say yes.”, you encouraged her. With a cheeky smile she asked:” Like you did to Ale?”
“Yes.”, you replied, placing a kiss on Alexias lips, making her blush in front of all your teammates. But the midfielder didn’t mind, she pulled you even closer, kissing you hungrily like she was starving before.
2023
Without a knock Mapi stormed into your hotelroom giving you each a scolding look:” You two should be asleep now.” “Mapi!”, Alexia frowned at her. The defender ignored her and clicked with her tongue:” Did you got lost in telling you love story again? Don’t worry I can tell that in my best woman speech for your wedding.”
“Who said you’ll be the best woman?”, the midfielder looked challenging at her. Playfully offended the younger player stopped moving: “I’m not!?” “Of course, you’re.”, Alexia answered laughing. “Well, I hope so!”
Softly you continued the captain’s sentence:” We know what you did to make us realize that we fell for each other.” Satisfied with that you went on to talk for a couple of minutes before she went to her room with Ingrid.
You secretly even worked on a sonnet for your wedding day, writing all the things you once claimed to hate about Alexia but actually you didn’t because these were parts of her you came to love.

Mockingjay - Part 3
Hi guys :)
Chapter 3 is here!
I'm sorry if there is some part for the Games who isn't translated correctly, but like I already said English isn't my first language and I only watched the movies or read the book in my native language.
I hope you will like it, please let me know ♥
Chapter before
Ona is nervous. She’s walking around in the room where Leila and his assistant have dressed and prepared her for the interview who will be aired everywhere in Panem. She hates the wait before something big, she’s really stressed about this interview too, but she hates that she has to wait before going to sit in that damn chair.
They are passing by District and the only moment when she stops walking in the room was when she saw Lucy. She’s wearing a beautiful green dress, and she looks perfect. Her hair, her smile… Everything in her is perfect.
Lucy talked about her life in the 4, her family and her brother who won her edition of the Games. Ona is like captivated by Lucy, so much that she doesn’t hear Alexia entering the room. The blonde looks at Ona with amusement for some seconds, arms crossed on her chest before talking softly, not wanting to scare the younger one.
“We have to do something about your crush.”
Even with Alexia’s precautions, Ona almost jumps out of her skin. She turns to Alexia, frowning, a hand on her heart.
“Are you trying to kill me before the Games?”
“No” Alexia chuckles.
She comes in front of Ona to put in place some hair behind her ear.
“You look beautiful, as always” Alexia smiles at her. “So, it was Lucy Bronze you were looking at, all this time?”
“Stop it” Ona mumbles with red cheeks.
“Why? It’s cute” Alexia says with a teasing smile. “Plus, you have good tastes. She looks amazing.”
“She does” Ona says thoughtfully, looking at the screen again.
But they passed to someone else, and she frowns while looking at the boy from the 5 talking about his qualities. Ona turns her gaze quickly now, looking at Alexia again.
“What does your girlfriend look like?” the brunette asks with curiosity.
“She’s smaller than me. Brown hair, brown eyes… And the most beautiful smile in Panem.”
Ona smiles softly. The way Alexia smiles when she talks about her girlfriend is really cute. Ona never asked her about her name, Alexia seems at ease with her relationship, but Ona doesn’t know how much she is. Homosexuality isn’t a thing a lot of people like, at least in the different Districts. It looks like it’s not so bad in the Capitol though.
“I think she would have loved you a lot too” Alexia adds, before looking at her watch. “We have to go now, or you will be late.”
Ona nods and lets Alexia pass a friendly arm around her shoulder, taking extra care not to wrinkle her clothes. Ona’s mind goes to Lucy one more time. They haven’t really talked since the day Lucy takes her to her quarters. They only smile at each other when they cross eyes, both not wanting for their partner not to mingle in their relationship. It isn’t even a friendship, but Ona feels her heart flutter every time.
“I know the situation isn’t ideal, but you still can try to get closer to her, no?”
“How?” Ona snorts. “Have you seen her? She exceptional and I don’t even know if she’s interested in girls”
“Yeah, I’ve seen her. And I see you too. You are pretty amazing yourself you know?”
Ona rolls her eyes and doesn't answer anything. In her eyes, Alexia isn’t impartial. The blonde doesn’t add anything, letting Ona’s mind go in what she just said. Once again, Tony is already here when Ona arrives, he’s waiting with one of Leila's assistants. Once again, Leila made her magic work.
“Alright, I have to go” Alexia says to Ona. “I’ll be in the public, if you are stressed or scared, just focus on me, ok?”
Ona nods softly, ignoring the others' gaze on them. Alexia smiles at her and hugs her.
“You will be great. Don’t be scared of being yourself. People will love you.”
Ona smiles softly at her and takes a big breath when she finds herself alone with Tony. The boy seems to be a little anxious too. He was a little resentful towards Ona after she chose not to come with him for training, but Ona decided to ignore it. He comes back to her very quickly anyway.
Tony is the first to pass, of course. They always present the boy first; Ona doesn’t really understand why. She was hoping to cross Lucy’s path after her interview, but it looks like the people who have already done the interview leave by another door. Tony seems to handle the interview pretty easily; he doesn’t seem stressed at all suddenly. Good for him, Ona thinks.
Some minutes later, it was her turn. Ona takes a big breath when the presenter calls her name. During her walk to the couch in the middle of the television set, Ona tries to spot Alexia in the crowd. She finally sees her just before being in front of the presenter, sitting next to Leila. Alexia winks at her and Ona greets the presenter with one of her brightest smiles. It’s now or never.
“Ona! It’s so nice to finally meet you!”
The presenter has bright but deep blue eyes in a banana hairstyle. He’s wearing make-up, like every single person in the Capitol after all. Ona asked Leila not to paint her face with make-up, she’s wearing some but not too much. It’s pretty simple. She likes it.
She has a small chat about her life in District 8, her family and her friends. She tensed a little bit when she heard him asking the next question.
“So… There is a question everyone here is asking themselves… You are talking a lot about your parents and your brother, but not about someone waiting for you in District 8. Aren’t you in a relationship?”
“No” Ona answer softly. “I’m single.”
“With a pretty face like you? I can’t believe it.”
Ona’s eyes went to Alexia, who nods almost imperceptibly at her. Ona swallows her saliva with a little difficulty.
“I had someone, some months ago. It was my first relationship and my first love.”
“What happened to him?”
The presenter seems really interested in what Ona has to say. He looks a little like an uncle who wants to hear all of your secrets.
“To her” Ona corrects gently.
“Oh, her. Sorry.”
He smiles at her, urging her to continue her confidences. Well, if we can call that confidences if thousands of people are listening to her.
“Two years ago, her name was raffled for the Games. She died in the arena here, in the Capitol.”
There is a beam of silence, no one was expecting this revelation. Ona looks one more time to Alexia, who is still looking right at her. They don’t look at each other for too long though, with professionalism, the presenter finally starts to talk again.
“If I remember correctly, the female tribute of the 8, two years ago, was Jana.”
“Yeah. It was her.”
“And what is your feeling about you being where she was? Do you want to take revenge for her?”
“No” Ona shakes her, softly frowning. “It would be useless; the same people aren’t here, and they only did what they had to do to survive. Jana… She was a dreamer, the sweetest and softest girl ever. She was my sunshine back to the 8. I still think about her every day.”
Ona looks at the hand the presenter puts in her arm, in a soft gesture probably to give her some reconfort. Is it fake or is it real? Ona doesn’t really know.
“Do you have something material in memory from her?”
“Not here” Ona shakes her head one more time. “I left everything in District 8. I thought it would be better for our parents to have them.”
The presenter smiles at her, with the same friendly uncle look as earlier.
“It’s very thoughtful of you. But I know that Capital keeps some things belonging to the Tributes for several years after they come here. Would you want me to find something for you?”
“It would be amazing” Ona smiles.
Her heart beat a little faster at that idea. She can’t say that she’s still in love with Jana, it would be weird. Jana is dead, she isn’t here anymore. But it doesn’t stop Ona to think about it every day anyway.
“I promise I will do everything to do it.”
“Thank you very much.” Ona gives him a new bright smile.
She’s touched, which is probably stupid from her. She doesn’t know if it’s just television and show. She probably won’t see something belonging to Jana, but she likes the idea.
They hug when it’s time for Ona to finish the interview and she greets the crowd with a wave before going behind the curtains once again. She breathes with relief there, feeling relieved and exhausted at the same time. Tony isn’t here anymore, and Ona follows slowly the floor before facing a door. She doesn’t have to open it, someone does it for her.
Two Peacekeepers frame her immediately, taking her in the room she was waiting before coming on set. There, she sits down on the couch, waiting for something. She doesn’t know what, the Peacekeepers haven't said anything to her before leaving.
Alexia will come for her some minutes later, hugging her at length before taking her back to their quarters.
********
Several hours later, after tossing and turning for hours in her bed, Ona decides to get out of her room. She tried to take another shower, but it didn't work. Even the “tea” they give the Tributes to help them sleep isn’t working.
She puts a short and a hoodie on her underwear and slides her feet in the tap shoes lent by the Capitol. She needs to breathe some fresh air, she almost hasn’t since she came here a week ago. There is a place called a garden, which is in fact more like a patio. She went there several times with Alexia or Tony, but they only are allowed twenty minutes per day.
They aren’t authorized to leave their quarters during the night, but she still can pretend to have a panic attack if someone catches her. It wouldn’t be totally wrong though; Ona is pretty sure that her troubles to breathe right now are linked to her difficulty to sleep. In District 8 the air wasn’t maybe very healthy, but she still can breathe fresh air every day.
That patio being in the seven floors, Ona chooses to take the stairs to go there. Like this, she won’t take the risk to wake someone up. She doesn’t see anyone during her walk to the garden, and she’s relieved to see that there is no one here.
Sighing softly, she lies down on one of the deck chairs here. The sky is dark and the more she looks, the more she’s able to watch more stars.
She doesn’t know how much time she stays there, finally feeling her breathing becoming calmer and deeper. She feels better now.
Until she hears some noise coming from behind her and the characteristic sound of an automatic door opening. Ona doesn’t have time to hide, she just has time to turn to face the person coming for her. She was waiting to see a Peacekeeper ready to beat her, but no.
It’s Lucy, who seems scared to face someone here, before realizing that it’s Ona.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Lucy whispers.
“And you?” Ona whispers back.
Lucy's eyes are scanning the place, probably looking for someone else. But there isn’t anyone here, Ona could have said it to Lucy.
“I couldn’t sleep” Lucy finally says.
“Me neither”
They look at each other before Lucy sighs and sits in another deck chair. She’s wearing a grey flannel ensemble with the hood on her head.
“Why can’t you sleep?” Ona asks casually.
It wasn’t probably the question you ask the crush you almost never talked to, but she does it anyway. Lucy seems surprised by the question of Ona, raising her gaze on her. Just when Ona was saying that she can not answer her question, Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
“I don’t know. I was thinking a lot about the trainings, the shows… Everything we went through since we are here.”
Ona nods, understanding perfectly. She doesn’t know how things go for the other Tributes and the other Districts. She has a great team around her, protecting her as much as they can. She’s not to be pitied, but it doesn’t mean that the traumatism isn’t here. She’s preparing for her own death. It’s a strange feeling.
“I saw your interview” Lucy suddenly says. “It was… It touched me.”
It’s Ona turns to raise her gaze on Lucy. She looks at her eyes for some seconds, before shrugging softly.
“Thanks. It was probably the last time I would be able to honor her.”
“She’s lucky.”
“Lucky?”
Ona’s frowning. She doesn’t understand why Lucy might be thinking that, especially knowing the way Jana died.
“To have her memory kept alive by someone like you. People here in the Capitol or in the career District forget the dead Tributes very quickly. It won’t hurt to have someone talking about someone who was here several years ago, just remembering them to people.”
Ona nods, finally understanding what Lucy wants to say. She might admit that she was a little mad about that comment, before Lucy can explain herself. She lets her body relax in understanding, looking at the sky again.
“Were your parents okay with your relationship?” Lucy asks softly.
Ona keeps looking at the stars for several seconds, before looking at Lucy again. It seems like Lucy realized the indiscretion of her question when Ona and her cross their gazes.
“Oh. I’m sorry if it was too straight-forward, of course you don’t need to answer that question” Lucy blunders, and this is the first time Ona sees her uncomfortable. “It’s just like… I don’t know, I feel like we are old friends or something. I’m sorry it was stupid of me.”
Trying to ignore the pleasant warmth in her body when she hears Lucy, Ona decides to get her out of her misery pretty quickly. They aren’t talking a lot; this encounter wasn’t even planned at all. It’s the first time they are talking alone like this. She doesn’t want Lucy to feel uncomfortable.
“I don’t mind your question” Ona assures her.
If they were next to each other, she would probably have put her hand on her leg to support her words. But Lucy is too far from her.
“They knew about Jana and me, and they were ok” Ona begins, smiling softly when she remembers some scene. “Jana and I knew each other from when we were little. I don’t know when things changed or if it was always here. But one day at dinner, my Mom just asked me if Jana was my friend or my girlfriend. I answer that it was my girlfriend, and they just go with it. They never made a big thing with it.”
Lucy nods softly, lost in her thoughts.
“It’s maybe the healthier way to go with it” she says slowly.
“I think so too. I feel like I could have come home with a boy or a girl and they wouldn’t mind. At least I was with someone, not like my brother” Ona rolls her eyes.
“There is a story behind that” Lucy smirks.
Ona laughs softly, shaking her head softly. Lucy was right, this conversation feels like they know each other for years, not only several days. She likes this feeling.
“Him and my best friend have always been in love, I think. They are both too stubborn to see it or maybe they don’t want to do anything because of me, I don’t know. But it’s really painful to watch.”
Lucy smiles at Ona’s rumble, not seeming to mind at all. She has a small smile and some tenderness in her face while looking at Ona. The younger one realizes it and is distracted about it for some seconds, before asking a question too.
“And you? What about your friends and family?”
“Well…”
Lucy opens her mouth to talk, but quickly closes her when they both hear a noise coming from the floor. They both turn in the direction, Lucy even getting up a little.
"Did you take the lift to come here?” Lucy whispers.
“No, I took the stairs. I didn’t want for anyone to hear me” Ona whispers back.
Finally, there isn’t another noise or someone coming. But there is a tension that wasn’t here before. Lucy finally turns in Ona’s direction, looking hesitant.
“Maybe we should go back to our room.”
“I think you’re right”
Ona sighs a little when she gets up from her chair, looking one last time at the stars. She smiles at Lucy when the girl lets her pass before her, turning in her direction when they are at the stairs. Lucy must go down while she has to go up.
“It was nice, talking to you” Ona mumbles, blushing softly.
“It was” Lucy confirms with a smirk. “See you tomorrow?”
“Yeah. See you tomorrow.”
With a wink, Lucy left her to go on the stairs. Ona watches her before going back to her room. She manages to sneak inside before being caught by anyone. Her bed is warm after the cold outside, and the feeling is amazing. She can’t stop smiling, thinking about her moment with Lucy. Her crush won’t probably pass soon, but she doesn’t mind. Lucy seems to be a very nice girl, not only a pretty face. And a hot body.
********
The training goes pretty great. Alexia is able to come to see them trains from time to time and is able to see what their qualities are. For Ona, she realizes that she has a big facility for climbing. Her small body is still strong and agile, and she doesn't have trouble passing from one place to another.
So, for her showcase, Alexia proposed to her to impress the jury with that. They designed a parkour with trees that Ona crossed in a record time. For fun, some members of the jury tried it, just to see they are way slower than Ona. They give her a 7 for that. Tony got an 8, just like Lucy. Those are pretty good notes.
But it’s not what filled Ona with happiness those past days. After her encounter with Lucy in the “garden”, she decides to go back the night before. Lucy was already there, waiting for her like it was planned for them to meet again.
They talk a lot here, about anything and everything. The training, their Partner, their team or what is on their mind at the time. Ona loves those moments together and how they are getting close to each other. They both decided to hide their friendship though, not wanting to become a target for the other tributes.
On the four nights, they are even on the same desk chair, partially hidden by a big flower box and a massive palm tree.
“You look tired tonight” Lucy says.
They already are here for one hour, talking about the food from home they are missing for the last ten minutes.
“I am. I usually sleep more than that” Ona admits.
“We can raincheck for tomorrow if you prefer”
Something in Lucy’s voice might make her think that Lucy doesn’t like that idea, but it bothers Ona to imagine wasting some time alone with Lucy.
“No. I like those moments” Ona frowns, looking at the older girl. “Those are the moments I love the most during my day”
Lucy giggles softly, rolling her eyes.
“I would be sad if you would rather fight than see me.”
Ona smiles only, looking at the stars again. With time, she learned that Lucy knows almost all the stars and constellations. Her grandfather told her when she was younger, he was a fishman and used the sky to go home at night with his boat. It’s almost the only things Lucy told her about her family, but Ona never pushed her to talk about them. She knows that it might hide something, and she doesn’t want to make Lucy uncomfortable.
“I heard that they let us call someone from home” Lucy whispers after some minutes of silence.
“What?” Ona says, her heart beating faster. “How do you know that?”
“I’ve got my sources.”
“Will it be filmed?”
“I think, they don’t have any advantage to offer that otherwise.”
Ona stays silent, thinking of who she would call. She thought about her parents and brother, of course. Her brother might be a good call, he probably could give her some advice. But hearing her mother’s voice for the last time is something she wants too. But on the other hand, she doesn’t want to choose between her parents, she feels like it’s unfair for her dad.
“Who would you call?” Ona asks Lucy.
The older girl stays silenced, looking at the stars. Ona almost believes that Lucy hasn’t heard her and was about to ask her question again, just when Lucy opens her mouth to answer.
“I don’t know. Maybe my brother.”
She seems sad with this answer. Ona frowns, turning on her side to have a better look at Lucy. The moon makes her face shine softly, just like her beautiful eyes. Ona feels like she can look at her all day without being tired of it. But she knows she has to be discreet not to pass for a creep.
“And you?”
Lucy gives her the question back, which isn’t surprising. Ona frowns softly trying to figure out her different possibilities.
“Maybe my best friend” Ona finally answers.
Lucy hums softly, still looking at the stars. Ona takes advantage of it to keep looking at her. She tries to oblige her eyes not to fall too long and too often on Lucy’s lips. Her crush gets stronger every day and she doesn’t know how long she can keep it under control.
“You seem sad” Ona finally says.
It strangely makes Lucy smile and she turns her head towards Ona. She seems to realize only now how close they are from each other.
“My family is a little bit complicated, that’s all. Don’t worry about me.”
Ona frowns once again, keep looking at Lucy. She has gained a little confidence since she and Lucy started hanging out together.
“Would you listen to me if I told you something like that?”
“Probably not” Lucy laughs softly.
Ona doesn’t answer anything, she just raises both of her eyebrows and turns her head to look at the sky again. It’s a nice day today, the sky is clear. Yesterday they weren’t able to see any of the stars.
“Do you find it strange? That we get along so well considering the circumstances?” Ona asks suddenly.
“No. I think we’ll get along too if we have met somewhere else. Or in another life…”
“In another life…” Ona repeat for herself.
She feels sad, suddenly. She hasn’t felt that way since the beginning and she has trouble explaining this sudden wave of feeling. It is almost intoxicating and like this other day in the car, she has trouble breathing correctly. She tries to settle her breathing not to alert Lucy.
“Hey, are you ok?”
Try again, Ona.
She nods, but despite that, Lucy stands a little on the chair, not to be lying anymore. She sits and faces Ona, putting a hand on her stomach. Ona feels shivers despite herself, and she almost hates her body to react that way while she’s not far from a panic attack.
“Look at me” Lucy says softly. “And breathe with me.”
She takes Ona’s hand with the one she hasn’t on her stomach, just to put it on her stomach too. Looking deep in Lucy’s eyes, Ona finally manages to breathe normally again after several minutes.
“You’re okay” Lucy keeps repeating.
It’s not totally true, but Ona doesn’t answer anything. Right now, with Lucy, she is ok. She feels safe. She has to focus on this.
“Thanks” Ona finally whispers.
“Anytime.”
There is a sincerity behind Lucy’s words which can seem strange because of their situation. But Ona wants to believe her.
They look at each other for several times, before Lucy opens her mouth to say something.
“Ona, I- “
She’s cute by a big noise, making both of them jump in the air. They both know that it sounds like the end of their meeting for tonight.
“We better go” Lucy says.
Ona groans for any answer, sitting on the chair too. She doesn’t want to, but she knows it’s better for them. Once again, they won’t do anything to them here, but they can easily make things look like an accident.
“I’m going first” Lucy decides.
Ona nods and sighs, standing up too. She watches when Lucy turns around to look at her again and froze when the dark-haired girl leans on her to put a kiss on her cheek. Pretty close from her lips.
“See you tomorrow night”
And then, she’s not here anymore. Ona needs several seconds to come back to reality and finally leave the garden too. She goes to her quarter silently, lost in her thoughts. She wasn’t expecting to see someone in her bedroom when she arrives, so much that she misses the silhouette of the person here.
“Where the fuck were you?!”
Ona jumps out of her skin and jumps so much that she knocks her head against the door of the room. The lights go on and Alexia is standing in the middle of the room, arm crossed and a very angry expression on her face.
“When Tony told me that you were leaving your room in the middle of the night, I didn’t want to believe him. I told myself that you weren’t this stupid and unconscious. You better have to have a good explanation, Ona.”
Tony. Of course he will open his damn mouth. And how does he know that Ona was leaving her room? That’s pretty strange in Ona’s opinion.
“How does he know that?” Ona frowns.
“That wasn’t my point here.”
Alexia seems really furious. Ona swallows her saliva with difficulty and shrugs, suddenly not able to look at her Mentor. She’s not screaming but she’s talking so coldly that Ona would have preferred the first possibility.
“I’m fighting for you, Ona. I try to make you look good for sponsors and attract good attention to you. But if people learn that you don’t comply with the rules here, you are a lost case. We don’t laugh with rules in the Capitol. If you do bad things, it’s not only you who will have something to repair, but your family too. And if they know I protected you, they will go for my family.”
It suddenly attracts Ona’s attention again. She never thought that they could go after her family for something she did. She’s suddenly scared, and Alexia is probably easily seeing that on her face.
“Please, don’t say anything to the Leaders.”
“I’m asking you one last time, Ona. Where were you?”
Ona bites her lip. She doesn’t want to drag Lucy into her problems. She can’t believe that Tony snitched like this.
“I was in the garden. It’s where I go” Ona finally answers.
“Alone?”
There is another silence, while Ona thinks again about telling the truth or not. She doesn’t want to lose Alexia’s trust, but she cares so much for Lucy.
“I don’t want her to have any problem” Ona finally whispers.
“I won’t tell anyone” Alexia says.
Still chewing her lip, Ona raises her eyes again on Alexia. She wasn’t able to realize it, but Alexia’s gaze softened those last seconds. She seems happy to hear the truth and Ona saying it. Maybe Alexia already knows everything.
“I was with Lucy”
Alexia looks at her for several seconds and sighs finally, before pinching her nose.
“Teenagers” she grumbles before looking at Ona again. “Go to bed.”
She passes next to Ona to leave the room. Ona feels uneasy. She hates conflict, fights and arguments. She hates the fact that Alexia might be disappointed about her, or even upset.
“Alexia…”
The blonde was closing the door behind her but still slid her head through the gap of the door. She looks at Ona with her hazel eyes and Ona has trouble looking at her while talking. But she still does.
“I’m sorry. For disappointing you and making you mad at me.”
Alexia seems to soften finally completely and comes into the room again. She takes the time to close the door again before talking.
“I’m not disappointed in you, Ona. But between you and Tony, you are my favorite from far away. I would be mad if you get yourself in trouble because you go flirting with another Tribute at night. You have to be careful about yourself.”
Ona nods once again and is surprised when Alexia hugs her. She hugs her back, her nose somewhere on the other girl’s shoulder.
“Be careful with Tony, okay? I don’t like his comportment with you.”
“How does he know that I’m leaving at night?” Ona asks again.
Alexia sighs and lets go of Ona before answering.
“He said he was hungry and wanted something to eat when he saw you leaving. I really want to believe him. If it’s not that, he’s spying on you and it’s really disturbing.”
It is. Ona feels her stomach twist in a way that is everything but good. Why in the world would he spying on her? To know what she’s doing? Or is he spying on her for someone else?
“Don’t worry. I’ll have an eye on him, ok? Now try to sleep, you still have training tomorrow.”
“Yeah. Thank you.”
Alexia smiles softly and leaves the room for good this time. After a quick shower, Ona goes to bed. Once again, her mind is full, between Alexia’s revelations and what happened with Lucy in the garden.
Sure, it was just a kiss on the cheek. But she can’t forget the feeling she got when Lucy’s lips were on her skin. The perfection of her smell, the softness of Lucy’s lips. She’s smiling like a fool when she finally manages to fall asleep, not wanting to consider for now if she will be able to see Lucy at night again. Maybe they’ll find another way to be together. They have to.

heyyyy r u willing to write one for kk ab how she had a bad day and reader decides to surprise with cookies (make sure theyre warm bcs yk our girly don’t like em cold)
— bad day ✩ kk a.
syn : KK had a tough day after practice, worn out so the reader decided to surprise her with cookies after her team got cookies without her.
pair : kk arnold x gf!reader
warn : crying, fluff, reader being a sweetheart
note : two post in one month??
KK has been a pissy mood allday and no one knew why. the normal happy, energetic girl turned into a pissy, upset girl. Her teammates tried to tell her it was one bad practice but she didn't care.
She thought one bad practice would mess up everything. She didn't wanna speak to anyone, especially you. Which was surprising becaude you were her favorite person.
but today was different.
by the time she got home, she was exhausted—physically and mentally.
As she sat down to unwind, a knock at the door broke the silence. Confused, she opened it to find a brightly colored box with a familiar logo: Crumbl Cookies. Her eyes widened in surprise and happiness, “What…?”
She looked up and smile widened when she saw you. her teammates told you about practice and why she was ignoring everyone + you so you surprised her.
The warm, gooey cookies were the perfect antidote to her sour mood. Each bite seemed to melt the stress away, reminding her that even on the worst days, someone had her back. And in that moment, everything felt a little bit better.
"Thank you baby", she mumbled inbetween bites which made you giggle. you were just happy she was happy again.

Touch - Epilogue
The absolute amount of fluff in this epilogue is almost gross.
Also, more military inaccuracies (I made it all the way to the epilogue before remembering the word ‘inaccuracies’)
3 Years Later.
You stood on your back porch, watching Johnny run around the backyard with your one and two year olds who squealed and screamed anytime he got close. His laughter roared over their sounds, picking one up like a football while chasing the other still. The scene made you giggle.
You could smell the meal that Kyle was working on in the kitchen, the scents of homemade mashed potatoes and steaks wafting through open windows. Simon had disappeared into the shed, working on a stronger bed frame after the five of you plus the little ones broke the original.
Usually, you would find John in there with Simon, toiling away on a project. This time he was sliding his hands over your rounded belly from behind, cupping it from underneath and lifting gently. It made a soft groan leave your lips as you leaned back into his embrace.
When you found out you were pregnant the first time, John, Kyle, and Johnny had all requested their discharges citing the need to be home with their family. Simon had been honorably discharged after the events with Moses, his injuries determining the course of his (and the military’s) decision. He was okay with it, surprisingly. Said it was time to stop running from the past and embrace the future you’d given him.
Blonde, little Leila was most likely Simon’s, although there’d never been a paternal DNA test done. Nathan was most definitely Kyle’s with his cocoa skin and pretty eyes that rivaled his fathers. But they all loved your children, no matter who their biological dad was. The little one still growing in your belly would be no different.
Kyle finally called out that dinner was ready and everyone headed inside. Well, everyone except you, who padded off to the shed to collect that last of your tribe. “Si? Dinner’s ready,” you called as you poked your head into the shed. “Mm, coming, luvie,” he replied, dusting off his hands on his pants and grinning at you.
He joined you at the door, his large hands settling on your hips as he gazed down at you. Licking his lips, he leaned down and spoke to your belly. “ ‘Ello little one,” he whispered to the baby in your belly before straightening up only to lean down and kiss you deeply. “Love you pregnant, all swollen with our baby. Makes me want to put another one in you,” he growled against your lips.
You rolled your eyes, shaking your head as you backed up and grabbed his hand. “Come on, you big lug. Let’s go eat,” you chastised playfully, dragging him out of the shed and back up to the house.
You’d never been one to want a huge family. But as you sat at the head of the table with the loves of your life and your two babbling toddlers, you couldn’t imagine your life any other way.
FINITE!
Okay, so holy crap. I started this as a little project intent on making my touch starved heart happy. It definitely turned into something else, but I'm happy with it. I just want to say thank you to every one who has liked, commented, reblogged, and followed. Every interaction means the world to me.

-----
Soothing hands were slow to stroke at your skin. When Jenni spoke, it was the quietest you’d ever heard her. A husky, mumbled thing just for you. “Be good. I want to see you come tonight.”
There was no fight when she untangled herself a second time, though the way her hands lingered on your thighs gave her away. Jenni pressed her lips to your cheek before standing up straight. She was quick to turn, walking to where Alexia was perched on the edge of the bed, blocking your view when she bent down to catch the captain’s lips.
You looked away immediately. There was something in your gut which made it hard to watch, like you were intruding on something private, intimate.
Instead, your focus travelled to the corner of the room. Leila met your gaze immediately. Her hand rubbed over her mouth for a moment before she smiled lazily. You watched her focus trail down to your bare chest, then to your legs still hanging off the desk.
With space, you could breathe again. You took the time, forcing deep breaths to calm your frantic heart.
By the time Leila looked back up to your face, you had the wherewithal to raise both eyebrows at her. “Okay?” You mouthed.
Leila’s grin stretched even further. A satisfied nod before her expression turned concerned. “You?” She mouthed back.
It took another second of shaking out your tense limbs, for you to nod and smile back at her. You were half way to pushing off the desk and finding a home on her lap when Jenni spoke. “Lie down, amor. Let her work for you.”
You glanced back just in time to see how Alexia surged up to catch her girlfriend’s lips again. They broke apart only when Jenni’s grin couldn’t be contained, and Alexia pushed back to make herself comfortable against the pillows.
Jenni turned slowly, fiddling with the harness at her hips to unclip it. Her eyes met yours as her content expression faded to something far more devious. Jenni didn’t say anything, but the raise of her eyebrow and the tilt of her chin made the instruction clear enough.
Your legs were like jelly, though you tried to hide just how floaty they felt as you toed your way to the bed.
Alexia lay with both hands behind her head while you hooked a leg over her hips. Though her dark eyes followed your every move, she didn’t react when you steadied yourself on her stomach nor when you reached down to fist her strap.
The few short strokes you gave it were instinctive, but the tiny groan she tried to swallow made you wonder how she’d react if you took her in your mouth. Driven by your own arousal, you ignored it and pressed her tip against your entrance.
After taking their cocks for so long, sinking down was easy. The pleased little noise you let out might have been embarrassing but for how it made Alexia’s lips curl into the tiniest of smiles.
Then the first gentle rock, testing how it felt to ride her. You were vaguely aware of Jenni moving around the room, but paid little mind to her quiet footsteps.
Alexia’s lips parted, tension finding her brow when you sunk back down and sat against her hips. There was the temptation to grind your clit against her skin, but you knew what she really wanted.
Perhaps your needy whines were theatrical, but your cunt clenched around her strap over and over. You quickly found the angle you liked best, one which shot pleasure up your spine every time you sat down.
Whatever show you were planning to put on was off the table when it felt so good. Up and down, with your eyes fluttering shut and your fingertips digging into her skin. The sounds you pulled from her weren’t loud - low groans and the occasional grunt - but they set you alight all the same.
It wasn’t long until you felt her hands curl around your waist, just holding at first, then pushing up to grope your chest. Her fingers pulled at your nipples, making you shiver and tense around her. When her hands returned to your waist, it was to help fuck her cock inside.
“Yes!” You gasped at the extra power behind the rhythm.
“She looks so pretty when she rides you, doesn’t she, Ale?” Leila asked, grinning to herself when you turned your head in her direction. Alexia’s fingers tightened, very clearly wanting your attention on her.
When you looked back down at her, she met your gaze, though with an unusually tense tone. “Do you think about me? When you’ve got Leila's cock inside of you, do you think about me?”
Shivering, you rolled your eyes at her single-mindedness. Though you should have learned your lesson by now, you couldn’t help yourself. “No.”
Within a second, the blonde’s hands were gripping onto your hips, stopping your movements completely.
“No?” She echoed. As soon as you forced your eyes to hers, you were met with a cruel smirk. You tried to ignore her, tried to grind back and forth, but she was too strong. You couldn’t move your lower body even an inch, and just as you were about to give in, Alexia spoke again. “So she is lying to me?”
Your body froze, your confusion clearly written across your face.
Alexia grinned like she was happy to elaborate. “Leila is lying when she says you think about me when you come?”
And it should have been a humiliating revelation, that they’d spoken about you like this. But if it was going to embarrass you, Leila would have never said it. No, she was well aware of how Alexia would bring their conversations up, and your girlfriend knew just what your reaction would be.
Your whole body seemed to twitch as you fought the urge to push Alexia’s hands off you and take what you wanted.
“I am not lying. Tell her, bebé.” Leila piped up, sounding as if all her dreams had just come true.
“Sometimes,” You allowed, your pride only allowing you to say so much, though Alexia’s hands loosened their grip just enough for you to buck pathetically against her.
“All the time,” Leila corrected. “When I fuck her. When she fucks herself.”
“Am I that good?” Alexia asked arrogantly.
Swallowing a whine as she stopped you again, you clenched your fists against her taut stomach. In the quiet, you could hear slick sounds behind you, then Jenni’s signature sigh.
Alexia licked her lips, dark eyes focused on your every move and hair splayed out against white sheets. You shifted a little, catching her gaze trailing down to your breasts before you spoke. “You are… good.”
Alexia let out a sharp exhale as her focus turned clinical. “You will have to be more specific if you want to come. Did you like taking my fingers, or being on your knees for me?”
“Alexia, just let me move.” You whined, dragging blunt nails across her forearms.
“No. Dime.”
For a second, you thought Leila might jump in and save you again. Instead, the silence stretched on and on until you broke. “On my knees.”
“Sí? What about it?”
“All of it.”
“Todo?” Alexia loosened her grip, stroking over your thighs as they immediately started working you up and down her length.
“Todo.” Leila sang from the corner as you moaned. “She liked when you made her eat Jenni’s pussy while you fucked her.”
“And when you played with her ass?” Jenni guessed. You could hear the grin in her breathless tone.
Alexia grinned too, watching you with an unfair amount of control. “Puta,” She purred, letting you find the angle which made you keen, “Show me how much you like my cock.”
With your hands on her stomach, you bounced. A few gentle bucks first to get used to it, then fast enough to feel the heady pleasure. So thick, so deep every time you sat down. Your unrestrained moans mingled with the springs of the hotel bed, creaking in time with every rock.
You weren’t sure if it was Alexia’s hands rocking you, or her hips bucking up from the bed. Either way, the feeling of her was more. It was relentless and deep. The longer it went on, the higher your desire to come became.
“Alexia likes to think about you, too, cari.” Jenni called from behind. “Ever since she had you, you’re all she talks about-”
“Jenni-” Alexia warned though her eyes never left your chest.
“-Your pretty pussy on her cock,” The striker continued as if uninterrupted.
“Jennifer.”
“She likes to think about filling you up and making you scream. Don’t you, Ale?”
You watched Alexia’s eyes trail down to where you rode. It wasn’t often that Alexia was without something to say, and it was this rarity that gave you a little courage. Without letting yourself think too hard about it, you grabbed Alexia’s hands from where they rested on your hips, and shifted forwards, pinning her to the mattress.
There was barely any time for Alexia to look at you, astonished, before your lips were next to her ear, and you spoke so quietly, the blonde knew only she had heard you. That your words were only for her.
“Come in my pussy, Ale, I need it,” You whimpered.
Alexia groaned before it happened. You gasped when she used her overwhelming strength to flip the both of you until her body pressed into yours.
Another second, then Alexia was moving. Not just moving her hips, not just fucking into you like she had before. Maybe it was different because you knew she was going to make you come this time. Regardless of the reason, it was unrestrained and visceral. It was Alexia, taking what she wanted, and giving you what you wanted at the same time.
All of her control was wholly abandoned in favour of rutting into you with all of her power, fucking in so deeply, you could feel her in your stomach. All you could do was wrap all four of your limbs around her toned body, try to remember to breathe, and hold on as she worked you both up, steadily higher and higher. Her body stayed close, hips snapping her cock inside and rubbing against your clit deliciously.
“Alexia, god, Ale, ” You couldn’t finish your sentence, overcome with pleasure as your body began to shake. She fucked the neediest sounds from you with every thrust.
“Again,” she hissed.
“Alexia. Ale-” You chanted, willing to do whatever she asked if it meant she wouldn’t stop. Not now, not when you were so high strung. “Alexia. Please. Fuck, Alexia.”
“Te sientes tan bien,” Alexia grunted, her lips brushing against your cheek. You couldn’t think about the affection in her voice, or the way you were wrapped around her, only the way it felt. Hot, relentless, and safe. Her arms held you so tightly there was nowhere to move, but why would you want to? Her panting in your ear, the pounding of her hips, the press of her skin. All of it was heaven.
“I’m so-” You warned, feeling it build low in your stomach.
“No. Wait. Conmigo.” She cut you off with a low rasp.
You clung to her, nodding into her neck though you weren’t sure it was even possible to stop it.
“Vas a correr en su coño, Ale?” Jenni wondered.
You let out a needy whine at her question.
The midfielder was bucking into you frantically, clearly nearing her own peak. With every thrust, Alexia grew less and less composed. Her lips were parted as she breathed a sharp exhale every time she filled you. The intensity of her gaze bordered on hypnotising, almost distracting from the word she murmured. “Inside?”
“Please,” You moaned, a hand tightening its grip on the back of the blonde’s neck.
Her cheek pressed to yours, her lips finding your ear. “Tell me.” Alexia demanded.
“I need you to come inside me,” You whined, “Ale, I’m so close, I’m gonna come.”
“Let me fill up your pussy first, zorrita.”
“Fuck, Ale. I can’t.” You desperately tried to swallow your own arousal and think of anything beyond how close to the edge you were.
“Espera.” She commanded breathlessly.
You whimpered, shaking your head into her neck. The harder she drove, the more certain you were that you couldn’t last a single second longer.
“It’s okay bebé,” Leila chimed in sweetly. “Come on Ale’s cock. Give her a tight little hole to fill up.”
You stopped trying to fight it, allowing the stimulation to overtake your body. A few harsh thrusts, then it hit. You writhed under Alexia, back arching, eyes slamming shut as it washed over you.
“Alexia,” you mewled, your voice barely more than a squeak before you fell silent. The peak was too high. You squeezed her, holding on until it broke hard. Wave after wave after wave flooding every nerve in your body.
Alexia worked herself furiously towards her own end, finding the rhythm and angle that felt the best and hitting it with every thrust, though it was difficult to move when you clamped down. The knowledge that she was the reason you were in such a state of bliss made her head spin, and it was only a few more seconds of chasing her own orgasm before she shook.
Alexia’s hips slapped against your skin, meeting the sound of her filthy moans until both became muffled. Her movements inside of you slowed, becoming smaller and smaller until she stopped completely. Then came the comforting weight of her body relaxing into yours. The slight shift of her cock had you keening in sensitivity, letting your legs fall from where they were wrapped around her waist.
“Shh,” She breathed, hand clumsily gripping onto yours. You weren’t sure whether you were shaking or if Alexia was, but you hauled her in closer all the same, needing to feel every inch of her skin against yours. The room was still, or maybe your head was too clouded to register much else. It could have been seconds or minutes that you and Alexia lay there, unconsciously breathing in sync.
When your needy sounds had died down, Alexia carefully inched the strap out of you. You managed to withhold your whimper this time, but it escaped only a minute later when Alexia leaned up and away. She rolled onto her back, her body only parting from yours for seconds before she was tugging you back into her side. Your hand trembled where it laced with Alexia’s, your inhales and exhales unsteady against her chest.
It was comfortable, laying pressed up against Alexia’s warm skin. You didn’t think of much beyond the heat of her and the aftershocks which sporadically shivered through your spine.
The quiet shift of fabric, then a soft hand stroked up and down your back. Given Alexia’s stillness, you knew didn’t belong to the blonde.
Leila didn’t need to say anything before you were rolling away from Alexia and into her waiting arms. She was still dressed, wearing her favourite hoodie that smelled unmistakably like her, all comforting, soft and familiar. You settled against her, inhaling deeply as she ran her fingers through your hair. She was less warm than Alexia’s bare skin, but the stroke of her hands made you shiver for different reasons. You both were jostled as the bed dipped next to you, and though you weren’t looking, you knew that Jenni had not been as gentle as she pulled her girlfriend into her.
“Ale!” She sang, pressing a few kisses to Alexia’s cheek. You could picture the shy smile on Alexia’s face, yet Leila’s heartbeat in your ear was too soothing. You couldn’t bring yourself to focus on anything but her. Peace was something you apparently weren’t allowed, though, as you were shaken gently before you could allow yourself to truly relax.
“Not yet.” Leila whispered. “You can’t sleep yet. We still have guests.”
You grumbled, pressing your face further into her chest. A large hand came to rest on the back of your head, fingers tapping at your skull gently at first, then a bit more insistently. You looked up to glare at Alexia, who was grinning smugly at you from her spot reclined in Jenni’s arms.
“Did I tire you out?” She questioned.
You rolled your eyes. “No, your girlfriend did.”
This time though, Alexia didn’t jump to jealousy. “You begged for me. You did not beg for Jenni.” She dismissed, though she visibly tightened the grip Jenni’s long arms had around her.
“You didn’t,” Jenni agreed, nuzzling into her girlfriend’s neck. “Don’t lie, cari. She is the best. You look so good together.”
The look Alexia tried to hide was the softest you’d seen on her.
Leila’s fingertips traced patterns over your ribcage. “You are so pretty when you beg.” She sighed dreamily. “So pretty when they fuck you.”
Alexia hummed her agreement softly, removing her hand from your head with a smirk. The room fell quiet again. You started to recognise the hum of cars outside and the chatter of people in the hallway.
You were just about to turn back into Leila’s chest, company be damned, when Jenni cleared her throat. “Do you all remember my goal? It was a good one, no?”
Alexia reached her hand up, stroking at Jenni’s cheek. “Sí, increíble.”
The forward waited patiently for a moment, but none of you said anything else. “So is it time for my reward now? For my goal?”

#(caption from Do It All The Time by iDKHOW)#i've always wanted to make a bizarre plantsim so i finally tried my hand at it!#for the cold weather outfit just imagine it tucking its flowers under its clothes. they're still there trust me#anyway meet mittie! it's a part of the mother plant that detached from her and then (quite literally) grew into its own person#it's obsessed with human culture and nowadays tries to befriend people but has trouble convincing them it means no harm#(that's also why i intentionally tried to make it look cute!)#also i think its favorite hobby is fishing because it can then eat the resulting fish as fertilizer.#i love you mittie... might even use it for a challenge playthrough sometime later#the sims 4#ts4#ts4 simblr#simblr#ts4 plantsim#plantsim#ts4 occult#occult sim#ts4 lookbook#lookbook#sim: mittie#snag's sim tag#(sorry if this post blasts your dash to smithereens. for some reason tumblr doesn't like it when i put a 'read more' on this post)

After 3 years and one EPIC final battle that lasted well over 20 rounds, our D&D campaign finally concluded on August of this year. The feels were real and the ending was bittersweet. And during that time we've made some really special life-long friends. I originally drew this as a holiday gift for the group in December of 2021, but it also works as a great stand-in for the times we spent together playing this remarkable adventure. Thank you Danelle, Robyn, Leila and Gareth for being the best humans <3
