I still can't get over the fact that "they're doing transgender operations on illegal aliens in prison" is a real sentence that left Donald Trumps mouth during an official presidential debate.

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared in the cold opening for Saturday Night Live. It was actually more fun than expected.

She seemed in a particularly good mood. Perhaps it was because of unexpected news from Iowa — of all places. She apparently is leading Trump in that state.

While I am definitely a poll skeptic, I do know that the Des Moines Register Poll, conducted by Selzer & Co., is regarded as the gold platinum standard by pundits and data journalists. It has gotten past races in Iowa right when other pollsters were significantly off. So for what it's worth...

While Iowa is considered a red state, it's not exactly Idaho or Mississippi. It's gone blue more often this century in presidential elections than North Carolina and has a couple of competitive Congressional races this cycle. So if you're in Iowa, let this be an incentive to make sure that your like minded friends and family vote on Tuesday. I'm not sure if it's too late for early voting or mail-in ballots in Iowa, but you can always vote on Election Day itself if you know your correct polling location.

All of the SNL Cold Open video is worth watching, but in particular, Dana Carvey's Joe Biden is brilliant!

Too bad SNL didn't get Carvey to play Joe Biden before. Carvey could have done with Biden what he did with George H.W. Bush and his "wouldn't be prudent" tagline.

Nov. 2 — Three days before the capitalist elections, people gathered in Manhattan’s Union Square to say no to the mass murder in Palestine and Lebanon. Called by the Shut It Down 4 Palestine Coalition, the action was part of a National Day of Action to say no votes for genocide!

“The U.S. government funnels billions of our tax dollars to Israel as they continue to commit genocide against the Palestinian people,” declared the coalition. “During this presidential election, we won’t forget the candidates’ blatant support for the genocide.”

Speakers at the Union Square rally demanded a ceasefire and stopping the endless baby-killing weapons shipments to the Zionist occupiers of Palestine.

People marched up New York City’s avenues through Herald Square and Times Square before holding a final rally at the reference library on Fifth Avenue. No matter what happens on election day, the struggle for Palestinian liberation will continue.

Later, just before midnight, several dozen protesters gathered outside NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center to confront Kamala Harris, who made a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live. As her caravan passed, they waved Palestinian flags and chanted, “100,000 people dead, Kamala, your hands are red” and “Democrat, Republican, genocide is by bipartisan.”
