#truly the only correct way to do enlistment

Saw someone trying to claim that cora secretly resented his birth dad (too lazy to correctly spell the man’s name) and like nah dude. That’s the main reason he ran away. He still loved his dad and never blamed him. Because I think despite everything he saw his dad as good hearted and correct, just painfully naiive. I sometimes wonder if doflamingo ever truly hated their dad. Resents the hell out of him, hated his actions, blames him for his childhood miseries and stone cold in his murder. But their dad was never presented in a hatable way, at least from my reading.
Agreed, Homing wasn't presented in a hateable way. Oda designed him as an elegant-looking fellow in spite of being a regular Tenryubito and that says enough. The Donquixote couple were the only Celestial Dragons who couldn't be brainwashed into becoming egocentric psychopaths even though they were born and raised at Mariejeoise, they owe some respect.
The criticisms of Homing's personality comes from our own judgement of his character and not from canon narration, shoutout to @eroguron0nsense for this meta summarizing his flaws. Frankly speaking, I think Homing was doomed to die. Being killed by his own son just adds a layer of irony, it wasn't a dignifying way to go.
As for Rosi, he clearly held a high opinion of his father:
"How was such a monster born in the family of such kind hearted mother and father? I don't get it. He's not a human."
.
In fact, I doubt Rosi ever pondered about his father's naivety at all. There's no point in digging the faults of a humble father who died long ago, considering that a greater evil (still) existed in their bloodline who inflicted much bigger pain in his childhood. Rosi's most severe loss in his childhood was his parent's deaths, not the lavish life at Mariejeoise.
Point to note is that a six year old's cognitive development is still underway, a ten y/o on old on the other hand, has evolved a lot. Rosi wasn't be able to judge his parent's character the same way his brother could. I've wondered, if Rosi were around Doffy's age, would he be influenced by Doffy's ideas a lot more, like most younger siblings? Probably not, since Rosi's thought process is fundamentally different from Doffy's. He's hotheaded and impulsive, but he's not vengeful. Rosi enlisted as a marine to save civilians in spite of being poorly treated as a child, and knowing that they'd hate him if they knew about his bloodline. I can't imagine Law or Doffy doing the same. Rosi is a humanitarian who held a deep sense of justice (passed from Sengoku and kindhearted parents) - that neither of those two had.
Having a bit of thought experiment, if Law as a child were in Doffy's position, I can see him resenting his father - not for losing the family status but for endangering his family's life (and the death of his mother). But I don't think he would've been manipulated by bad adults into killing his father. I see Rosi's driving force his morality (returned to his brother to stop him to save the civilians), Doffy's is self importance (would throw away anyone for his own cause), and Law's is love (extreme protectiveness of those he loves). No matter what, Law wouldn't be risking the safety (and sanity) of his younger sister.
Back on track... does Doffy truly hate his father?
Yes, he does.. in a complex way. Doffy still considers Homing's actions to be the source of his miseries. But I believe "family" means something profound to Doffy. Regardless of what happened or how much he hates him, Homing is HIS father, and that by default means he's a human of a higher value.
Doffy made this particular way of execution, to shoot with his flintlock, somewhat ritualistic and specific for those he deems as his family. As he said in chapter 769, he sees it as a form of redemption.
"But, I shall forgive you! The same way I forgave my real father and brother: with death!!"
He doesn't want to hate them, so he 'punishes' them and forgives them, which in his self centered mind is a form of entitlement.
The answer got a lot bigger than I expected shdhd thanks for reading my rambling though o7

You know what? The season, and the show for all we know, might be over but we’re not done being insane over Roy offering to train Jamie.
First off, we have the way Roy says “you frowning when we’re on a win streak, that’s a bad look” – this is not some random observation about how being pouty when your team’s doing well is poor form in general, this is very much about the optics of Jamie in particular (formerly known as the prince prick of all pricks) not getting on the Zava joy train. Roy is exceedingly aware of how Jamie’s unhappiness with the situation might be interpreted and why – but for once Roy is prepared to give Jamie benefit of the doubt (and to gently warn Jamie of what others might say).
The offer is not a spontaneous thing, I don’t think. It’s such a leftfield idea and comes out too considered; Roy has been thinking about this for some time, at the very least since he saw Zava steal Jamie’s goal (and Roy, unlike the other coaches, would understand exactly what that felt like). It’s notable how Roy does not dismiss Jamie’s concerns earlier in the episode as simple jealousy; he listens to them from the adjacent office, but doesn’t (as you might have expected given the “fragile little bitch” comment earlier) react by scoffing or rolling his eyes or anything like that. He hears Jamie, and knows enough about him now to realize that yeah, might be something real going on here, he might have a point. And so when Jamie doesn’t throw a fit over the stolen goal, that strenghtens Roy’s belief that this might be about more than Jamie’s bruised ego, and pushes him to walk over to Jamie at Ola’s and eventually make his offer.
But while I don’t think it’s a spontaneous thing, I also don’t think he’d actually made up his mind about offering when he walked over; he’s played with the idea, sure, but before throwing it out there he needs to check if his hunch is correct, if this is about more than wounded pride, and so he start talking about “bad looks” (you know what this looks like, yeah, and is that all it is or is there something more?) and “only if you fucking mean it” (are you prepared to actually put in the work or do you just want to pout and moan about not being the best anymore?), testing the waters to see if Jamie will bite.
And boy, does Jamie bite. Careful about giving him that finger, Roy, or soon you’ll be spending every day together and talk about him a lot and hug him when he’s having an existential crises and enlist your ex to help him get his out of his funk and chase him all over Manchester and be fucking proud of him and shit.
Ungh. I love them, you know?
And then we get to 3x05! We get to Zava’s retirment and we have that little look and nod between them as the video plays and then there’s “tomorrow at 4 a.m” – “damn fucking right” and that’s Jamie showing Roy that he’s still committed, that he won’t settle for being the best on the team instead of being the best he could be, but it’s also him checking in with Roy: are we still doing this? Were you just pity training me, or was it more and do you still want to put in that effort? Do we have something here?
Damn fucking right they do.
Zava might have been the external factor that kickstarted their partnership, but this is the moment when they truly choose each other, and that’s fucking beautiful.

I was just curious about you and other followers and supporters of Taekook, how we’ve all felt about their relationship the further in we’ve gotten from the beginning of their enlistment. To put into context: despite Paris and T*ennie and everything, 2023 really did come close to convincing me 100% of Taekook, though most days I still tried to retain a healthy sense of skepticism about them.
These days though, we haven’t seen them in a while, so now I feel probably closer to 60-70% that they are SOMETHING more than friends. Like I almost ask myself each day, could they really be that? Isn’t that a little impossible? And if they are… can they manage to make it through this difficult period of extended separation? What would they even be like when they come out of the military?
It’s not like I’m having doubts, but it does just seem too good to be true the further away we get from seeing them in the present time.
I wonder if you or your other followers are feeling this way…
Hi anon!
My feelings and ideas about them haven’t changed. My expectations about seeing them together or hearing about them together during enlistment were very low even before they left last december. To me this is a period of time in which we will most likely get nothing to base our understanding of the current state of their relationship on. My state of mind going through this period is basically that I believe they were probably together before they enlisted, I am aware of the possibility of them not making it through this, but I have high hopes that they will. I think a possible breakup will be noticeable when BTS reunites.. and in the meantime all we can do is base our thoughts on whatever we might get to see.
I’ve seen comments about them having broken up because Tae hasn’t posted Jk yet and on them having not seen each other yet. To me those things mean nothing. Would it surprise me if Tae posted Jk at one point.. no, but at the same time I’m never expecting him to. Even last year, though it was a great Tkk year, we probably saw them together way less than they actually were. Just like all members probably saw each other more than we were aware of. They choose when to post about each other, they do not only post about each other when they actually meet. People will call me an idiot for this probably, but Jk doesn’t seem to want to be seen at the moment.. and I think all members would probably be aware of how the others want to be present in fandom right now.
It’s a hard time for those who like to have reassurances every now and then. Selfdoubt is a thing and it very often occurs when looking back at things. It does not surprise me that Tkk fandom has become a bit.. quiet lately. It is something we have to deal with though, because I truly think we won’t get much realtime Tkk for another year. Personally I’m not bothered much, because I always deal well with not knowing everything. I did not become a Tkkr without looking into things extensively first, and my ideas about everything I’ve seen have not changed. To me all the Tkkry from the past is still as valid as it was before enlistment.
I always kinda wonder about the ‘good to be true’ aspect I see sometimes (and I’m not wanting to be critical here, I just truly wonder), because to me that seems like people think Tae and Jk are this magical fairytale come to life. If we are correct about them I do feel we are seeing something unique, but to me it does not carry much of the magical fairytale. I think what we have spotted is the very cruel treatment of two boys/men in love. Sure, they are rich and famous and handsome and their love ia of the greatest kind, but a lot of the things we have spotted is actually signs of closeting, of two sensitive boys having to hide their feelings. While I do get the romantic side of seeing Tae and Jk together (obviously I do 🥰🥰🥰), I have at times thought that maybe if I were wrong about them it wouldn’t be a bad thing.. because that would mean that they didn’t go through some of the hard stuff I think they went through.

Certainly, Dorothy Van Laar should have imagined that the Revolution would have changed her life. With a number of her brothers serving as Royal officers in the British Army and all of her sisters marrying into English nobility, she should have known that the question of American independence from England’s mother stem would greatly impact her. However, on her aunt and uncle’s farm in New Haven, she had thought that the “Revolution” would never come to her doorstep. She was convinced that powerful men behind heavy closed doors would make all of the decisions. Certainly, she did not think that her aged uncle would be considering joining Rebel forces. Nor did she imagine that her parents would be attempting to force her to come home.
For the past four years, Dorothy had lived away from her parents in York City. Her parents had been vexed and exhausted by their youngest child, a girl who seemed to derive more pleasure from banging the keys on the piano and playing pranks on her sisters’ suitors than in sitting quietly while mending socks. Dorothy talked frequently, and rather loudly, about the books she stole from her brothers and father and the growing ire of the colonies at the Crown. Plus, she seemed to be uninterested in things like dancing or embroidering. However, despite her parents’ attempts to correct her (and great attempts were certainly made), she seemed to be incapable of change.
At the end of their ropes, the Van Laars finally sent her to live with her uncle Asher in Connecticut. Asher Neethling, the brother of her mother, had always been considered rather odd by his family. Having decided to turn away from his family’s wealth and status as a “knickerbocker” family in York City, he had found comfort in learning. After receiving his ordination, he had married the daughter of a professor at Yale, then becoming a professor himself after his father-in-law’s retirement. At Yale, he enjoyed losing himself in books and being able to maintain a small farm with his wife. Asher seemed to be the only person Dorothy truly listened to or respected.
Soon after arriving in New Haven, Dorothy found that the change in pace suited her. She enjoyed working outside, mostly alongside her aunt, and caring for Asher and Caroline’s various animals. Soon after her arrival, she had begun to train the foal of one of her uncle’s most prized horses. Plus, her aunt and uncle seemed to enjoy her intellectual curiosity. Often, her aunt and uncle hosted various students of her uncle’s. A young man who was seemingly a fixture at the Neethling’s home was named Benjamin Tallmadge. Soon, Dorothy began to harbor a small crush on the man. He was smart and kind, his stories of his friends from his home in Setauket were charming to her. After he had graduated and moved to Wethersfield, he still maintained close contact with the family.
By the summer of 1776, it was certain that the colonies were involved in a war. Benjamin, done up in a gorgeous uniform of blue and gold, had briefly visited Asher. Though they had spoken in the parlor when Dorothy was supposed to be attending to her chores, she had been able to eavesdrop on the two. The young Tallmadge urged her uncle to join the war effort in any way he could, an idea that seemingly consumed Asher in the coming months. Increasingly, he became interested in enlisting in the Army. Certainly, the idea terrified Dorothy.
One evening, after Asher had received a concerning letter from a friend whose fields had been burned by British soldiers, the old man declared his intentions to join up by week’s end. This had followed a series of letters from her parents requesting that Asher sent the eighteen-year-old girl home, the two seemingly worried about Asher’s “Revolutionary” influence on her. That night, Dorothy was unable to sleep. She had been considering helping the war effort in her own way. Certainly, she wanted to do something more than knit socks. Silently, she took some of her uncle’s old clothes and his rifle, quietly changing and pulling his too-big boots on her feet. Before she slipped out of the house, she cut her long copper hair to hang around her shoulders. Then, she lead her horse, who had grown strong, away from the house.
After some days, she finally was able to enlist. When her training, abbreviated due to the war, was done, she was miraculously granted a position within the dragoons. Though, her excitement at being able to conceal her identity was deflated when she was told she would be under Captain Tallmadge. After arriving in camp, she was anxious about meeting Benjamin once again. Would see through her disguise, her claims to be a David Neethling from a small town near New Haven? What if he did catch her? Would she be thrown out of the Army?
After some days of flying under the radar, she was finally called to meet her commander. Standing outside of his tent, hair concealed mostly by a shining brass helmet, she could not help but worry. A sickly feeling made her throat feel hot and she was certain she would soon faint.

A theory of the Sonic Movie 3 Plot.
The trailer: https://youtu.be/ocEv3K_H9o4
Judging by how the trailer ends..I think I have already peiced together what this alternate interpretation of Sonic Adventure 2 will be like, or at least, what a big part of it will be.
Just in case that my theory happens to be correct, I will put a spoiler warning here, because this WILL be going into detail on what might be a serious twist, and you may want to avoid this.
We know that, at least by what it looks, Shadow seems to just be tearing down the world on his own, which is undeniably very cool, further showcasing his ultimate power.
And we also know that Team Sonic will be forced to reluctantly enlist the help of Dr. Eggman, forming an alliance to defeat Shadow.
But, I feel like this team up won't be lasting long, and here's why.
Gerald Robotnik.
At the very end of the trailer, we see that, in THIS interpretation, he's actually still ALIVE.
Gerald and Eggman have their reunion, and around THIS part of the story is where I believe Eggman's allegiance will change.
Eggman finds Gerald, and from there, Gerald reveals the Eclipse Cannon to him, and what it requires, he then tells Eggman of his plan to work together, use the Eclipse Cannon to dominate the world for themselves as grandson and grandfather.
And from here, Eggman betrays Team Sonic and joins forces with Gerald and Shadow.
HOWEVER..and this is when things get crazy, when all the Chaos Emeralds are gathered to the Eclipse Cannon, Gerald drops his facade and reveals that doing this caused the ARK to be set on a collision course with Earth, COMPLETELY betraying his own grandson and using his evil ambition against him to get his ultimate revenge on humanity.
Gerald is WELL AWARE that he will die upon the ARK's impact along with everyone else, but he doesn't care, because he is so done with all of humanity after what they have done to his dear grand daughter, Maria, ruthlessly killing her in her last ditch effort to get Shadow off the ARK upon GUN's raid.
I..am honestly SERIOUSLY hoping that this happens, this has the potential to become the DARKEST version of Gerald, in Sonic Adventure 2, he had no way of knowing that his own grandson would be the one to initiate his revenge plot, but here? He KNOWS that he is screwing over his own grandson to get his way and destroy the world, but he doesn't care because he's so far gone that all he wants is revenge by any means necessary.
Only time will tell what will truly happen, but I'm prepared for whatever that may be to be an amazing experience.
Thank you for reading.

My favorite thing about Margaret Houlihan has always been that she is an excellent nurse no matter what. No matter how annoying and obnoxious she finds Hawkeye, Trapper, BJ, et al., no matter how much she loves Frank, she never lets any of that get in the way of doing her job to the absolute best of her ability. She will not hesitate to call out and correct Frank (or any of the other doctors, for that matter) when he does something that could potentially harm the patient(s). She shows real respect for the medical abilities of the doctors. She reassures patients by telling them how great said doctors are, even when she's talking about someone she doesn't generally get along with (see: Aid Station). Even the way she treats the enlisted men of the 4077th changes (for the better) when they become patients (see: Radar in "Mad Dogs and Servicemen"). She is 100% able to compartmentalize her personal relationships in order to be the best nurse there ever was, and I think it really speaks to her character.
I also think that it speaks to the way she's able to grow and evolve as the show goes on while characters like Frank are not. She has a certain amount of respect for the medical professionals she works with regardless of what their personal relationships look like, and that, in turn, allows her to eventually become friends with characters like Hawkeye and BJ. Frank, conversely, is a mediocre surgeon and knows it, deep down. He didn't become a surgeon so that he could help people; he became a surgeon for the wealth and prestige the job comes with.
He's also spent his life, it seems, having a very difficult time getting along with those around him, He's a snitch with a sour personality, someone who became a bully to fight back against those who've bullied him. He doesn't really know how to connect with people (except for Margaret, and they only seem to work due to their sexual compatibility and their mutual dislike of everybody else in camp), and he never truly learns how.
And I think it's really telling that there are moments prior to Frank's leaving that Margaret is able to have genuine moments of connection with Hawkeye, Trapper, and BJ while Frank never is. Sure, there are a few times when Hawkeye/Trapper/BJ extend something resembling an olive branch, which Frank, desperate for friendship, grabs on to, but it's never genuine, and it never lasts very long. It can't last very long. Frank's values simply don't line up with those of Hawkeye/Trapper/BJ. He's more concerned with making sure that those around him are following the rules to the letter while Hawkeye/Trapper/BJ are more concerned with helping people and reducing harm. Frank feels like the whole world is out to get him, so he tries to get the whole world first.
With Margaret (and maybe this thought is colored by the fact that I've watched the whole series), you get the sense during these moments of friendship that, without Frank around, without the stick up her behind, she could be a really great friend. She sees her patients above all else as patients, people. While she does think that rules are important and that everybody should be following them, above even that, she is a nurse, and she takes seriously her job of making sure that those in her care are as comfortable and well taken care of as she possibly can. This is what allows her to see those around her as human beings, to come to understand that the human experience is wide and varied and that people don't deserve to be punished simply for being different or for making a mistake. Frank could never come to this realization, and sure enough, once he leaves, Margaret does become a really great friend, which is only able to happen due to the mutual respect she and the doctors have for each other from the beginning.

I talk about reaction videos a lot, but this post surprisingly isn’t about the reactors themselves. Haven’t watched the video yet, but the comments are ridiculous.
Nothing too awful, but someone is trying to argue Jimin and Jungkook didn’t enlist together… how does that make any sense? They are factually, said out of their own mouths, written about in SK news, and as proven by invasive photos being spread, that JM and JK are for a fact in the same unit.
In what world is this person so confident in whatever lies they’ve been told or maybe told themselves, that they feel it’s perfectly okay to lie to reactors who aren’t keeping up with the group’s enlistment? I mean, it is a blatant as fuck lie too, and their only rebuttal to the person correcting them is “crazy shipper” or whatever.
That same person is also grasping at JM and JK saying they hadn’t seen/spoken to each other in a bit as proof of them not being close, and if not for AYS they wouldn’t have hung out at all. Completely ignoring the TWO ADDITIONAL VACATIONS after Connecticut. They planned and executed two more trips to hang out, yet the one single trip in the US is their end all be all?
There’s also people talking about how the reactors shouldn’t watch the video they chose, because it “seems like a ship edit and cuts out all the funny stuff” or people “suggesting” they watch the episode with Tae instead and look up all the clips and edits that include the maknae line.
Just pitiful. This fandom truly hates Jimin and Jungkook no matter what they’re doing. People can’t even watch a compilation of them from a show about them, without so-called fans suggesting they don’t get swayed by shippers or being told baseless lies about what’s going on.
Jikook ship videos are the least edited out of the main ships within the group, yet still people can get away with lying that they’re heavily manipulated. HOW!? And it annoys me that most people don’t even fact check when folks tell them that. I know a lot of people genuinely just don’t care, but if you’re going to comment on what people in the comments are saying about edits, at the very least you should be doing a little digging yourself to see whether or not it’s true.
Again, I am not talking about the reaction video I’m currently about to watch, regarding this latter portion, but overall. It’s crazy to me that antis and Tkkrs get away with telling out-of-the-know fans that nothing about Jimin and Jungkook is legit, and everything is slowed down or removed from context, when it’s not. For example: Using their train ride in Sapporo in future Jikook edits will be considered a moment removed from context to look more romantic than it is, but one thing antis and Tkkrs will never say, is “Watch official content!”
They never say that, they just suggest Maknae content or Tkk content. Solely because if they tell people to watch official/full content for better context, the reaction will be more shocking. Because most people are aware that ship videos exist to paint a specific picture, but watching that same moment of them sharing ear buds as JM and JK watch passing scenery before JK rests his head gently on JM’s shoulder, is as romantic as it sounds or would undoubtedly look without the rest of the episode attached. It looks that way because that’s what they did. No one else is to blame, but yeah.
I got off track, but it is so annoying how this fandom works. Jimin and Jungkook don’t be doing shit to nobody, yet still they can’t even get bare minimum respect of being seen as friends who care deeply for one another.

Regarding the mandatory military service I feel like you and everyone else for that matter seem to have forgotten that North and South Korea are still actively at war with eachother. The korean war never ended instead they just called a cease fire hence why enlistment is still mandatory on both sides bc at any given moment the cease fire could be called off and the war will continue. I feel like you have to look at it from a korean perspective and not from a western one. Yes no one wants to enlist but unfortunately Koreans don't have have the luxury of not doing since they are still actively at war with North Korea who is just right across the border and likes to fire missiles in the ocean as a warning to South Korea.
Point of correction- no one wants to enlist
Some people actually want to enlist and will gladly enlist. what I and others are saying is that enlistment need not to be compulsory and need not be for only persons assigned male at birth. It should be for those who truly want to do it.
There are women both cis and Trans, nonbinary and other individuals who would gladly join the military and go to war for and on behalf of the Korean Government why force it on people who may not want to go, may not have the mental energy to endure the harsh training, persons who are pacifists, against the use of guns, against war, against oppression- why force any of these into it just because they have penises and were assigned male at birth????
Is coercion the only way to this challenge they are facing???????????????
You are the one missing the whole point.
They should enlist Blackpink too.
EQUALITY EQUAL RIGHTS AND ALL THAT JAZZ

Hellsing Rewatch: Episode Three Thoughts
One | Two
I loooove Pip
My favorite thing about Hellsing is that Dracula the novel has canonically been published in it. How did that happen! Why! Did Van Helsing commission it?? Are they meant to be genuine entries of their journals as a found footage thing?
It’s really funny and appropriate that the Wild Geese are like lmao monsters?? But also if I was a mercenary taken to this shady ass mansion with its own barracks etc I’d just believe any insane shit
Rip Iscariot letter Not Bomb stamp, you will be missed
Integra and Alucard both having a taste for the ugliest possible hats
Maxwell is SO extra he’s crushing his own glasses! Sir you need those!!!
Andercard 💖💖💖💖💖 They’re so fucking insane I love them
Also does this museum have no security? Is no one like uh. They’re drawing guns here.
AGDHFHFHGF Alucard grumpily going back to bed, does that mean he was asked to accompany them to the museum or was he just being nosy?
It’s SO FUNNY how Maxwell is Anderson’s boss now, he’s practically his son
HDJFJFGHDD REMEMBER MAXWELL MAKING INTEGRA SAY PLEASE IN THE MANGA
Why does Maxwell sound so proud when he reveals that the Vatican helped the Nazis 🥲
It’s so so so funny that Major and Dok personally showed up to the museum to watch all this discussion go down and also WHY IS DOK BLOODY AND WHAT IS THAT OUTFIT
What does Alucard mean that only Millennium, Integra, AND HIM are crazy enough to enlist the undead as soldiers. Are we talking level zero or something else????
Also lol. lmao. Walter acting like he doesn’t remember Millennium
HOTEL TWINK HIIIIIIII
Alucard did NOT need to do that poor twink right that, he changed his fucking life. He will never be the same
I looooove the shot of Alucard walking into the hotel room with the rippling air around him
“With any luck they’ll not only dig their own graves but pay for the funeral as well” fucks tbh. It’s a really good line
The spirit of Harkonnen being like “Something terrible is about to happen” and it’s really just Alucard waking her up.
I love Alucard subtly correcting Seras saying “Good morning” with “Good evening” but also like idk taking the moment to respond politely despite being like “btw SWAT team here to kill us.” He also waited a REALLY long time to wake her tbh
I’m generally ambivalent to the gun spirit dream sequence shenanigans but the choice to have such a light silly scene before the absolute carnage that is the Rio hotel fight is such a good tonal shift.
Rio sequence my beloved 💖
I love the beat when Integra questions if Alucard is going to show any restraint or like moral qualms at all in the face of adversity and Walter reminds her that he’s a monster. It definitely has the tone of a conversation they’ve had before.
Alucard’s so mad at the soldier committing suicide like I WANT THAT OUT DAMNIT
He’s having such a meltdown!!
“This is just the way it is” is it tho 🤔
Oh no the Rio call. In front of Walter’s salad
I think the Rio call (where Alucard is doing all this grandstanding about being a monster with zero remorse and needling her about potentially not being up to making a tougher call) is actually really interesting after him reacting so strongly to the one soldier killing himself, and then seeming to lose his own resolve a little bit when he realizes he’s been so harsh to Seras.
Walter like “I’m only the butler… I an not engaging with this shit”
Elevator sequence 💖💖💖💖💖 It’s truly really good nonverbal storytelling
I love that Major monologues so much that no one’s even trying to talk to him, they know he’s just going to keep going.
“I’m called the Dandyman” and Alucard’s like. Did I ask.
“There’s absolutely no reasoning with you people” WHEN DID YOU TRY TO REASON WITH THEM
Pip 👏 gets 👏 shit 👏 done 👏
The show does such a good job establishing just how gross and disgusting Alucard is
Oof the arm scene 😬
The one panned out shot where Alucard’s drinking from Alhambra and his proportions are so fucked that he looks like an Adventure Time character
Alucard making Pip on the fucking hijacked helicopter with a gun to the pilot’s head while he monologues 😭😭
It’s so funny how seriously Dok takes everything whereas Major is just like “Hell yeah!! Mayhem!!!!”
Dok’s still bloody omg, it’s also all over his coat like front and back? Did he deliberately just splatter it for edgy aesthetic purposes?
I NEVER noticed that young Walter was placed with the Millennium characters in the end credits. It’s crazy that they have that so early lol

"Right, my friend," he said, "quite right! Better he not know as yet; perhaps he shall never know. I pray so; but if it be needed, then he shall know all."
I never really noticed this line last year, but. Well, there you have it honestly. I think, in amidst all the logical reasons van Helsing doesn't tell Jack about vampires... this is his primary thought process. There's more to this dialogue of course, which deals with those with greater knowledge/expertise/an outside view not explaining their reasoning, and obviously the whole corn speech... and those are an influence too. But I think his main reason is right here in these first lines. More emotional than logical, though containing elements of both.
Sure, his explanation is far-fetched. Maybe he even worries a little about Jack or Arthur or Mrs. Westenra refusing to let him see Lucy if they knew what he's thinking. I've never really put stock in van Helsing being afraid Jack would try to have him locked up for multiple reasons (ranging from their relationship to that not really being Jack's job). But there could still potentially be consequences with them doubting him and not following his directions.
He wants Jack to come to the conclusion on his own, so it'll be an easier sell. He wants to confirm his own thoughts first, and then once those are confirmed... well. As long as the job gets done (Lucy is protected) why does he need to burden them with the knowledge? It's as true for Jack and even Lucy herself knowing about vampires, as it is true for Arthur knowing about Lucy getting worse today. Van Helsing tells himself that when the situation is truly dire, when it's truly necessary, then he will tell them. But until then... they can't really do anything more than they already are, and he doesn't want them to have to face more pain.
And once he starts thinking that way, it becomes easy to tell himself "it's not necessary yet." He acts like he will tell him soon enough today, but as time passes he keeps backing off. So long as Jack is willing to follow his instructions about the flowers, or about watching her at night - and he is, even without explanation! - then he doesn't really need to know, does he? If he figures it out on his own, that's fine, but van Helsing doesn't have to tell him when it won't change anything but just add more distress, right?
Arthur managed to circumvent all this today by being so good at seeing through people pretending things are okay/reading between the lines. He forces the issue by showing up in person, and van Helsing is thus convinced to tell him in order to enlist his help. But imagine if he didn't do that. Would van Helsing have told him? Probably, if it looked like the transfusion from Jack wasn't taking. But if it was... well, I could see him changing his mind and deciding not to scare him by revealing that they ever had to perform a transfusion in the first place. After all, it turned out fine, and telling him would only make him worry more without changing the situation.
It's the same thing with Lucy. No need to tell her what they had to do to save her life. Even though van Helsing tells Arthur that he will inform Lucy about what's happened: "I shall tell her all when she is well; she shall love you none the less for what you have done." He never actually does this I think (please do correct me if I'm wrong). And it can be justified again as - oh, she's not well yet, not well enough at any rate. Besides, the procedure is complete and there's no need to worry her over the risk when it's all done anyway. If there were a situation where she had to know, of course he'd tell her, but she doesn't need to know and so he won't.
And so the time keeps getting pushed off and he keeps not telling, and their ignorance of the full extent of the situation becomes dangerous. And still, the motivation is protective and loving.
#dracula daily#van helsing#dracula daily spoilers#it ties in to the ongoing theme of protecting others via hiding knowledge#and it never works. it NEVER WORKS#van helsing knows that they should know at some point but he keeps putting off that point.#maybe coming up with new justifications to himself that it can wait a little longer.#it almost reminds me of the situation with mina at the end of the book. when he is alone with her and she's getting creepier and creepier#but he keeps trying to put off the difficult act of having to decide if she's too far gone. and in that case it's very good he didn't#jump the gun. that he keeps trusting her longer. here though it's deadly because he's putting off knowledge sharing#and that again never helps. it's a failure to trust them to share the weight instead of trusting them as long as possible#(also him wanting to leave mina out in carfax. same idea of protecting by excluding. same disastrous outcome)

crowley could do terribly interesting things with his tongue; it was difficult for aziraphale not to take note of the way it swiped across his upper lip to savor the specter of his drink. or perhaps he was taking in the scent more completely - it wouldn’t be that far-fetched. he also had a tendency to hiss when he forgot himself. one aristocratic brow lifted minutely, one corner of the angel’s mouth dimpling for the tongue-in-cheek response. ❝ -- nonsense. I quite like people. ❞ the principality clarified, bringing his own glass to his lips and swirling the bowl of it in his palm, drinking in the alcohol’s scent bouquet. ❝ ...provided they aren’t trying to buy my books. besides, how would I ever get a serviceable plate of sushi living in a cottage in the south downs? not to mention, I saved up very frugally to buy this plot of land back in 1630 and I’ve put quite a lot of effort into it since. it would hardly do to abandon it now, as ingrained with the local shopkeepers as I am -- ah! which reminds me! ❞ he could hardly believe his own forgetfulness! placing his untouched glass down on the table at crowley’s hip, he turned and puttered about the room a few moments, evidently in search of something. a satisfied exclamation resounds as his gaze catches on a desk in the corner, and he retrieves a parcel of medium size from between a stack of agatha christie novels. returning to the demon’s side, he holds the brown paper package out in offering. ❝ here you are; this took quite a bit of sleuthing on my part, not to mention enlisting the help of that wonderful gentleman down the lane who runs the little antique shop. but I just knew it would be worth it. ❞ it’s clear that he can barely contain his excitement, only letting the demon get approximately halfway through opening the parcel before delightedly bursting out the confines, arching up onto his toes in his enthusiasm. ❝ it’s a classic wheel cover for the bentley; snakeskin. from the original manufacturer, circa 1926; same year as the car!
" mmm , right just not people near your bookshop . which they are . in droves . because the street is so busy . " despite churlish tone , there was the ghost of a smile that touched lips before taking another sip of the strong drink . " you know humans get a lot of things wrong but alcohol is not one of them . " another sip ( sip not quite being the correct term for how much of the drink he was taking in but close enough ) . attention turned toward the suddenly flustered angel , brows lift from behind glasses while at the same time crowley managed to reach for the ignored glass of whiskey that aziraphale had left behind and he began to drink that as well . can't let it go to waste then , eh ? brows then knit together in confusion . " what're you lookin' for over there ? " asked at the same time whatever it was , was found with a quiet cry of triumph .
elbow on the arm of the chair and chin resting against his palm , " more sleuthing huh , you're a regular angela landsbury . " the demon sounded amused as his angel hurriedly walked over whatever it was he found . a package was handed over and crowley , interest piqued , began to unwrap it . only to have the surprise spoiled right before it was removed from the wrapping . he looked up at the other in surprise . " it's a wot ? " truly surprised he took out the wheel cover and stood out of the chair . " oh the bently is gonna LOVE this ! " excitement visible as teeth were bared in a grin . it only lasted for a moment , true visceral excitement - his face almost angelic . and then with a clear of his throat he held up his new favorite thing in this entire world and nodded . " hey , yeah thanks for this . it's great . you wanna uh ? .. i can go put it on now . you wanna come with me ? "

I'm truly sad I missed seeing BTS in concert. With how the solo chapters are evolving, I'm curious to see how the group manages.
I know you said no asks on your recent post - hopefully this isn't crossing that line. Even prior to the hiatus, I'm sure the members knew they weren't all truly an equal part of BTS. From the titles afforded each (lead, main), the writing contributions, etc. But do you think the members were already prepared for how different the marketing strategies would be? Do you think there is a way for the group to be cohesive and have solid working relationships if/when they do comeback as a group?
So far, it seems the members unanimously talk about this break as a good opportunity to come back bigger and stronger as a unit. News outlets have sort of dramatized what Bang PD said at the news conference, but eye-catching headlines aside, the bottom line is that 2025 is not a secured comeback year for OT7 and never has been (though they never corrected anyone for assuming so). They’re still working towards it, but when you visualize what little we know about the members’ plans for their individual careers, it almost seems like enlisting by the end of this year is unrealistic for some of them. We’ll see how that plays out.
My only reservation is what SB did at the beginning of the year. It’s not a secret, but I don’t want to create more of a fervor than there needs to be. IYKYK, but just keep in mind that that decision doesn’t necessarily indicate a confirmed trajectory for BTS. Execs who are watching BTS and waiting for their futures to unfold are basically just gambling.
I assume the titles were just stated designations. It’s not something I’d read into regarding equal treatment, and nothing about said titles rings untrue to me. If there was any upset among the members, I believe they’d have used the leverage they had to work out a compromise when they last renewed their contracts. So while I think they had their bases covered on that side, I’d be impressed if they were prepared for the American side. I see people formulating their opinions and speculations about what’s going on here, but the AMI is a totally different beast.
Just because BTS is an untouchable supergroup, according to many, doesn’t mean the AMI sees it that way. The only way for OT7 to work is if they’re all on the same page and they collectively choose each other over anything/anyone else. They would actually be the most powerful that way and hold the most leverage, and will still be for some time as long as they prioritize the group’s best interest when they’re together. But any chink in that armor is a weakness, be it insecurity or favoring their own direction. The AMI will capitalize on this if it’s sensed.
Based on what we currently know about the group, I’m hard pressed to believe that they wouldn’t prioritize one another, even if it’s for the last time (I have doubts that any renewal will be as long, but I could be wrong). For a while, I was actually the most concerned about Namjoon’s feelings on the matter, but that concern was assuaged indirectly from his last live.
BTS, as individuals, are creatively different. That would work well in their favor when they band together again, and it would be naïve to assume they wouldn’t break their own records in the process. But those creative differences will have different effects on their own careers as soon as they leave the group. How they choose to navigate that creativity will dictate the kind of support they’ll receive, assuming each of them have plans to carve out their own space in the U.S. market.

Seeing Jungkook publicly stand up to support NJ just made me realize that he is and has always been able to stand up for himself and his loved ones.
Taehyung and Jungkook are arguably the most rebellious members of the group so don’t you think that it is a bit unreasonable to continue with the narrative that they both have forced to do things they didn’t really want to do? Jungkook knew exactly what this whole thing would look like. He knew the media was gonna jump on his words and use it to attack his company and maybe even his members and himself yet he didn’t care as he just wanted to defend those girls yet some tkkrs things that this same person has spent years being oppressed by the company? It only took him a few months (while enlisted) to do what he did so what sense does it make to continue to believe that he willingly read scripts or allowed the company twist his words when it came to his bond with Taehyung?
More importantly he could defend and openly stand up against young artists being dragged into company fights but all these years you truly believe that he sat there and simply obeyed while bighit separated or tried potraying him and Tae as awkward? If he could be this assertive then why didn’t he stand up against the company for his friendship and relationship with Taehyung all these years?
Hi anon!
In my opinion, there are many things wrong with this line if thinking.
First of all, you cannot compare this instance of Jk speaking out on behalf of Nj’s to him possibly having been able to speak out on his relationship with Tae. If we’re correct, Tae and Jk are closeted. Not because they want to be, but because either society or the company (probably both) make them stay closeted. Him speaking out on that would mean he’d out himself and Tae and that would have a long lasting effect on how people see and treat them. Jk has stood up for his friendship with Tae.. just by showing how close they are constantly. Jk has spoken out on a lot of things last year. This post he made today will not affect his career at all. At most he will get a strong talking to from Hybe, but that will be literally all. It’s an incident and will have no affect on his long lasting career. What was he supposed to say about Tae? People see them as friends already, and going beyond that is impossible.
You also mistakenly think that Jk’s influence and standing now is the same as it was years ago. Standing has to be built. When BTS was still working on getting to the top they had no room to voice their opinions like this. Losing the favor of the public or of Hybe would have had a damaging affect on their careers. That is different now imo. Should Hybe be so mad that they’d fire Jk over this, he would be signed with a new contract with another company a day later. Hybe needs Bts and Jk more than they need Hybe at this point. So Jk can use the weight he has gained over the years now to speak up on behalf of Nj’s who have not yet gained the status he has.
Jk can probably remember very well what it was like to have no power, so he uses his own for them now. It doesn’t mean he agrees with what Nj’s demands are, it doesn’t mean he thinks Mhj is right, it just means that he feels artists shouldn’t be used the way Mhj and Hybe now use NJ’s.
Don’t make this a Tkk thing, because it’s very different things in very different moments of time.

so wild that ive only been into kpop for about a year and a half and how taemin enlisted literally WEEKS after i found out who he was and YET advice has kept a gorilla grip vice-like chokehold on me ever since
#truly the only correct way to do enlistment#drop the banger of a lifetime and then DIP#HYBE take note!#i want a banger so hard from each of the bts babies before they go#that will carry me straight through the year and a half they’re gone#also idk if this is an unpopular opinion#but i wish they would just send them all at the same time and get it all over with at once#i think i would have a much easier time dealing with it if they all left and came back at once#staggering them over what. SEVEN OR EIGHT YEARS??? baby who has the time#send em all in#get em all out#bada bing bada boom#10 years of back catalogue footage and mixes and photo shoots etc would be more than enough to carry the fandom through for 1.5 years#and would be a good look back wrap up for ‘chapter one’#and then they’d all be together when they get out to kick off ‘chapter 2’#sending them all in at different times makes it seem like that’s a wrap for bts#okay anyways i came here to talk about girlfriend taemin and now look whats happened

better than sex | myg | 1
🍑Pairing: Yoongi x Producer!Reader
🍑Genre: fluff, smut, studio!au
🍑Summary: As Min Yoongi’s studio neighbor and self-proclaimed nemesis, you’ve always seen him as someone who knew how to maintain a clean, well-put-together image without any careless slip-ups. But after nearly walking in on him with a hand around his cock, you gain a new perspective that leads to steamy fantasies in your bedroom and much-needed inspiration in the studio for Bangtan’s next album. A week before track submissions are due, you give Yoongi a taste of the dirty demo, and now the selfish bastard wants to claim it for his own solo album. In exchange, he offers to help you produce another Bangtan track by the end of the week. Your only condition is for this track to be better than the sexual fantasies that inspired its predecessor.
🍑Word Count: 4.7k
🍊Parts: 1 ◆ 2
🍑Warnings: yoongi touches boobs, masturbation (m/f), a lot more smut to come in future chapters
🍑A/N: this fic started as a shower thought🚿
As a songwriter and producer, you’re expected to create something out of nothing. You’re expected to turn a blank canvas into the next big hit—something unique, something that would never exist without you. But the thing is, nothing is truly ever spawned out of thin air. Like superheroes who save the world, every song has its own origin story.
This, of course, includes the final track you’ve been working on for Bangtan’s next album. As with many of your best tracks, inspiration hit you while you were showering at one in the morning. Sometimes the inspiration is a reflection of how good or bad your day went. Sometimes it’s sparked by the fruity dessert you just devoured, or the heated breakup you witnessed on your walk home. But not this one.
This one was lust. More specifically, it was the lust you felt after entering Genius Lab with pure intentions and leaving with the vivid mental image of Min Yoongi jerking off in his studio. You hadn’t caught him outright with his hand around his cock, but you certainly walked in before he had time to hide the evidence. You’d always thought him to be a man who never slips up, never shows any sign of weakness.
But boy did he slip up.
One week ago
“Hey Piano Guy, can I borrow you for a sec?” You knock on the studio door next to yours. “I have a melody in my head right now, and I think it’d sound kinda sick on the piano.”
After 30 seconds, there’s still no response. You could always work it out on the piano by yourself, but it’s a lot easier with an extra set of hands. And besides, you don’t hate the idea of spending time with the handsome boy.
“Yoongi, please. Before I forget how it goes. My memory is fading, please.” Just as you raise your fist to pound on his door some more, it swings open. Yoongi leans against the doorframe with a hand in his pocket. The first thing he does is pinch down on the hem of your sleeve, coaxing you to lower your fist out of his face. You don’t think too much about how his forehead and cheeks are looking extra dewy today. He smells like his usual cedarwood cologne, so you don’t suppose he just finished working out, either.
“Isn’t it too early for you to be picking fights with me?” His voice is low and calm, almost like he’d just woken up. On most days, you probably would fight him—he’s the enemy, after all. Not like an actual enemy, though. Just someone who goes along with your banter and gives you something to look forward to at work. Unfortunately, there’s no time for his teasing when there’s a billion-dollar melody on the line.
“I’m not picking a fight with you.” As you correct him, you do a mental calculation of the space between Yoongi’s body and the opposite side of the doorframe. A tight fit, but it might be just enough room to weasel your way in. “I’m enlisting your help for a potential song idea.”
He must’ve caught a glimpse of that mischievous sparkle in your eye because he’s quick to put his arm up across the entrance. “Don’t even think about it.”
You frown, but it doesn’t last long. With a playful grin and fluttery eyelashes, you say, “C’mon, this could be the hook that wins Bangtan a Grammy.”
You notice his fingers slowly slipping against the doorframe. The ends of his lips curve upward ever so slightly. This barricade is coming down whether he likes it or not.
Yoongi looks behind him, combs his fingers through his hair, and lets out a sigh. “You need me? Like right now?”
It’s hard to tell if he’s genuinely trying to shoo you away or if he just wants you to admit that you enjoy being around him. Usually, it’s the latter. But he does seem a bit off today.
“I mean, I could ask Namjoon—”
“Five minutes,” Yoongi cuts you off, dragging you with him into his lair and mumbling to himself about “the things he does for you” and how “you act like you can’t figure it out yourself on the guitar.” You take a seat at the piano bench and pull the boy down right beside you. He supposedly only has a handful of minutes to spare in his busy schedule, and yet here he is, taking his sweet time warming up with some scales.
Either he doesn’t trust Namjoon’s piano skills, or someone’s a little jealous.
For as many times as you’ve watched Yoongi at the piano, it never gets old. His long fingers stroke each key so gracefully, yet with purpose. It takes way more than a few years of dedication and a genuine love of the instrument to be at his level. It’s mesmerizing.
“So what’s this Grammy award-winning banger you speak of?” he asks, creating his own piano version of Yet To Come. Oh right, the banger. How did it go again?
You search every inch of your brain, but instead of recalling the melody you felt so confident in, all you find are Yoongi’s piano covers of Bangtan songs. Well this is awkward.
“It… kind of disappeared from my memory,” you say in a hushed voice, still staring down at the keys. In your defense, Yoongi was a huge distraction with those dexterous piano fingers.
He stops mid-measure and shakes his head at you. “Tsk, tsk, Y/N.” Rather than annoyed, he’s amused. “So were you just using that as an excuse to infiltrate Genius Lab or what?”
You roll your eyes. Yoongi always acts like his studio is some sort of sacred chamber only accessible to those he deems worthy. Maybe you should set up your own high-tech security system for your studio so that you don’t get 20 weekly visits from him like an alley cat coming back for more table scraps.
“Bold assumption, but I only came here with the purest of intentions.” With a hmph, you slide your ass off the bench. Instead of heading for the door, you wander over to the side of his studio with all of the fancy producer equipment. You make yourself comfortable and spin around in his big cushy chair. It’s still radiating leftover heat from Yoongi’s own ass cheeks. “Were you in the middle of something just before I got here?”
The boy strides over, waiting for you to have your back to his desk. He steadies the chair with a strong hand so that you’re facing him and can’t spin around anymore. “That’s confidential information.”
“This chair is still warm, so you were obviously sitting here working on something. You might as well fess up.” You hug your knees to your chest and peer up at him with wonder. “Is it your solo album?”
He doesn’t answer you right away. It’s a yes-or-no question. There shouldn’t be anything to think about. Eventually, though, he shakes his head.
You try not to frown so he doesn’t see your disappointment. Ever since D-2, you’ve been patiently waiting for a solo album from him. Because you’d love to snag a spot on it as one of the producers he collaborates with. But Yoongi doesn’t need to know that right now.
“Can you at least give me a hint, then?” You hop out of the chair, scurry around the boy, and examine his desk. Not much is on it aside from his computer, a few MIDI controllers, and a black bottle of cologne. You wiggle the mouse around to wake the computer up, but the screen remains dark. “Seriously? You turned your computer off so I wouldn’t be able to snoop? Is that why it took you a decade to answer the door?”
“We all know how nosy you are. Like a curious kitten.” His voice comes from right behind you. With the clicks of several buttons, the computer screen flashes on, and he types his password in faster than you can decode it. He takes control of the mouse, but you don’t move out of the way. You can feel just how close his body is to yours, and the cedarwood is starting to drown your mind in mildly dangerous thoughts.
As Yoongi looks through his files for a track that’s “safe enough to show you,” your eyes lock onto the fancy black bottle of that intoxicating cologne. It looks expensive, sleek, and something you’d want to get your paws on.
You scan the bottle for a brand, a name for the scent—anything that will help you get ahold of what’s on Yoongi’s body. But all you find on the front side of the bottle is a simple product description: Personal Moisturizer.
That’s definitely not cologne.
You quickly turn back to the computer screen. An unfinished hip-hop track you’ve never heard before is playing in the background. You don’t even know when Yoongi pressed play. All you know is that you can’t exactly focus on music right now.
You’ve been in Yoongi’s studio plenty of times, and you’ve never seen this bottle sitting so casually on his desk like that. Probably because it’s normally stored away where curious kittens would never check. If it’s still lying around out in the open, then…
Oh god. You’re so fucking oblivious.
No wonder he was trying to shoo you away. No wonder he looked like he’d just gone through an intense workout. No wonder his chair was still warm but his computer wasn’t on. He wasn’t in the middle of work when you knocked on the door. Min Yoongi was in the middle of jerking off, and you just entered his studio without a single clue.
Oh no. You can’t unsee it. It’s too vivid—the image of him panting, slumped in the same chair you were spinning around in like an idiot, hand around his hard wet cock. The long fingers that danced across the piano keys so elegantly were the same violent set of fingers that stroked him into a fervorous state where every ounce of his stoic demeanor had come undone. If his computer wasn’t on with porn plastered across the screen, you wonder who or what he was getting off to.
A tiny, tiny part of you hopes it was you on his mind.
The funny thing is, you’ve never once even thought about him like that. Sure, the two of you have some flirty banter going on, but to you, he’s always been the kind of guy who’s more focused on his music than his sex life. And to be honest, it never actually occurred to you that Yoongi did in fact have a sex life. With that small bit of information, you feel like you’ve gained a whole new perspective. This is why they say curiosity killed the cat. It completely shattered the perfect, well-put-together image you had had of him all this time.
You’ll never see Min Yoongi the same way ever again.
When you return home that night, you aren’t thinking about the company meeting you have tomorrow morning, or what you should pack for lunch, or the award-winning melody that vanished into the abyss along with the rest of your rational thoughts.
You plop your body onto your bed and let yourself think of Yoongi. It’s probably a big mistake, but you can’t help it.
He’s incredibly handsome, you’ve always thought so. And you admire the work he puts into each and every one of his tracks. Likewise, you know he respects you the same. After all, he lets you into his sacred studio more than anyone else. He couldn’t say no to you, even with a whole ass bottle of lube still out in the open.
The image of him with his fingers gripping tightly around his swollen cock haunts your mind once more. His head is thrown back, sweat running down his neck, and he’s out of breath. You want to know how he sounds when he’s overwhelmed with pleasure, when he’s lost all control. His voice is already so raspy, so low, and so goddamn hot. You want him to call you kitten again, but maybe without the “curious” part attached to it. Anything to hear his bedroom voice. A single moan from him might be enough to set you off.
You unbutton your shorts and slip your fingers beneath the lace of your underwear. To your surprise, you’re already soaked in these erotic fantasies you never thought you’d be having about your studio neighbor. You’ve known the guy for two years, and it’s only now that you’re lusting after him? How did you have that much self-control for so long?
A gasp escapes your throat as you rub around your center. You squirm to your own touch as you apply more pressure and speed. Harder, faster. You love it, but it’s familiar and predictable, and it’s been a while since you’ve been pleasured by someone else’s hands. Your body aches for those long veiny fingers to play with you like a piano.
As the pleasure builds, you wonder how far Yoongi had gotten before you rudely interrupted him. It’d feel pretty shitty to be so close yet denied of it all because you decided to knock on his door right at that moment. If you had known what was truly going on behind that door, would you have still chosen music over lust? Or would you have thrown that Grammy away to learn what Min Yoongi tastes like when he’s overtaken by his deepest desires?
In the end, it doesn’t really matter because you came out of his studio with neither.
After a rather underwhelming orgasm, you roll off your bed and drag your feet into the bathroom for a hot shower.
You know you should stop while you’re still ahead. Fantasies need to remain fantasies and nothing more. Sex between you and Yoongi isn’t going to happen. It’s not worth sacrificing the music you need to be making with him instead of love. You hate that you were considering it for even a second.
But your irrational desires need an outlet.
As hot water trickles down your body, the steam clouds your thoughts. And in the haze, you long for something new and different. Now that you know what you know, you wish Yoongi would show you that other side of himself, the side he keeps hidden behind those studio doors.
You want it so bad.
And that’s when it hits you.
It’s been a week since you visited Yoongi in his studio on that fateful morning. You’ve been hard at work, piecing together the final track for Bangtan’s album. The demo is nearly complete, and you’re actually super satisfied with how it’s turning out. The vibe is sensual, full of temptation, and far dirtier than any other track with your name on it.
It only makes sense that the file name for this track is “sex.wav,” which will of course be changed before anyone else sees it. You’ve always had a bad habit of naming your track files based on the first thing that comes to mind, and it really shows where your head has been at this week.
Even Jimin, who helped you record the demo, asked if there was some sort of recent breakthrough in your sex life. When you told him no, he winked and said, “Yoongi is single, you know.” Sometimes you regret confiding in Jimin about your desire to make it onto Yoongi’s solo album because now he’s under the impression that you have some sort of crush on the rapper.
For the record, you don’t have feelings for Yoongi. It’d just be nice to fuck him once, get it out of your system, and the two of you will probably be back to the usual harmless banter that keeps you going every day.
You have to admit, though, your sexual urges came through when you needed them most. After losing the precious (and very wholesome) brain cells containing that award-winning melody, you were in desperate need of a new idea to go off of for that final track. Thanks to the hot and bothered part of your brain, you became super inspired and productive.
For once in your music career, you’re actually a whole week ahead of schedule instead of just barely meeting deadlines at midnight. With the sex.wav demo near completion, you’ll have this week to relax and take time for yourself.
Thank you, Min Yoongi.
“Y/N, can I come in?” Speaking of the devil, Yoongi pops his head in the doorway. It’s his third visit to your studio this week, and it’s only Monday.
“Come, come,” you say, gesturing for him to hurry on in. You’re confident he’ll vibe with the track, and you’re excited to hear what he has to say about it.
“Jimin told me you guys finished recording the demo,” he says over your shoulder. He places a hand on top of your chair and leans his weight against it like he owns the place.
“We did.” You sit up tall in your chair with a healthy glow and hand the boy some headphones. “I might still go back and tweak a few things, but it’s pretty much done.”
You stare up at him shamelessly as he focuses all of his attention on your demo. Yoongi is the type of guy who doesn’t react or say much on his first listen. He’ll always listen with an open mind and give you his honest opinion once he’s had time to take it all in. That’s why he’s always one of the first people you show your work to.
When the demo ends, he doesn’t hit replay. Instead, he hangs the headphones around his neck and stares at your computer screen, deep in thought. You start to think he hated it so much that he can’t even give it a second listen and he’s trying to find the right words to tell you.
“Why did you name the file sex.wav?” Ah shit, he wasn’t supposed to see that. No one was.
“It’s sexy, isn’t it?” you say softly, starting to shrink in your chair. He still hasn’t said whether he likes it or not.
“Yeah,” he agrees. He drums his fingertips against your desk. You wonder if those fingers have touched any cock lately. “It’s different from your usual stuff.”
You just blink at him, unsure of how to react. Good different or bad different?
“Good different,” he clarifies, as if he’s read your mind. He’s still not giving you much to go off of, though. And you’re starting to get impatient.
Yoongi looks at you, opens his mouth to say something, but then closes it. You’ve never seen the boy so speechless.
“What?” you ask. If he doesn’t spit it out right now, you’re going to lose it.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Please.” It’s hard to read his straight face, but something’s definitely on his mind. You need to know what’s bothering him.
“Who inspired it?” he asks. Not what. Who. This must be his not-so-subtle way of asking who you’ve been sleeping with. It’s none of his business, really. And he knows it. That’s why he was so hesitant to ask in the first place.
“Are you sure you want to hear about all the guys I’ve had sex with?” You casually raise an eyebrow at him and watch closely for a reaction. Maybe it’ll make him jealous.
“It’s about all the sex you’ve ever had?” He looks like he’s not fully convinced. No, it’s actually about the sex you haven’t had. The good kind. The wild kind. The kind that ends with you all tangled in the sheets with Min Yoongi. But you can’t tell him that.
“I’m just fucking with you. I wish I could say I’ve had good enough sex to inspire this track.” You take a jab at yourself, but you really hope you aren’t coming across as lonely or needy for a man.
Yoongi’s face relaxes a little more, still drumming those fingers against your desk. “I wouldn’t have guessed.”
He doesn’t elaborate on that, nor do you ask him to.
“Can I have it?” he asks out of nowhere. Have what? Sex with you? “On my solo album?”
Oh.
“You want this track on your album?” Is the boy really tempting you with something you’ve waited so long for? Of course you want to scream yes, but… “You’d really steal from Bangtan to claim it as your own?”
“Well, when you put it that way, I sound like a selfish asshole,” he pouts. Since when did Min Yoongi ever pout? You’ve never seen this side of him either. It’s fascinating.
You bite your lip. “Yoongi, I’d be down, but the deadline is approaching and I’m going to be one track short if I give you this one.”
“When’s the deadline?”
“Next Monday.”
The boy pulls out his phone and flicks his thumb across the screen. If you had to guess, he’s checking his schedule.
“I’ll help you produce another one for Bangtan,” he says so casually and confidently.
“Are you sure you’ll have time for that?” You don’t know Yoongi’s full schedule off the top of your head, but you do recall Jimin mentioning this week would be hectic for the group.
“I’ll make time.” All he does is shrug. “I should be free after 10 on most nights. Sunday, I can be in the studio by 6AM—”
“Yoongi.” You stop him before he can say anything else outrageous. Not that you’re being any more rational. You’re about to kiss your much-deserved week of freedom goodbye all for this boy with a pouty lip. “I’ll see what I can do, and you can pitch in. But please don’t overwork yourself for this.” You point at the screen, at the track he wants so badly.
He nods. “Thanks, Y/N.”
You want to ask Yoongi what he’ll give you in return for doing him this favor, but you aren’t really interested in anything from him aside from his company. And maybe sex.
Instead, you ask, “May I ask why you want this track so badly?”
“Because I like it.” He pulls the headphones off his neck and hangs them around yours. There’s no way he fell in love with the track after listening to it only once. That’s unheard of for him. There must be another reason. “Oh, and I also heard you wanted a spot on my solo album.”
You’re going to kill Park Jimin.
“Right,” you say, spinning your chair around so that Yoongi can’t see the nasty texts you’re sending to his friend.
Y/N💅 [8:23PM] “fuck you park jimin”
Y/N💅 [8:23PM] “i thought we agreed not to tell my nemesis that id like to be on his solo album”
Jimin🍡 [8:24PM] “Yoongi’s your nemesis?”
Jimin🍡 [8:24PM] “I thought you had a raging boner for him🍆”
Y/N💅 [8:24PM] “i hate you btw”
“You have a raging boner for me?” You hear a mix of shock, amusement, and arrogance over your shoulder. But mostly arrogance. You lock your phone screen even though it’s already too late. You’ve been caught. Evidently, you aren’t the only nosy one here.
You swing your head around, practically nose to nose with your nemesis. He can probably feel the heat radiating from your cheeks. But you don’t back off. Instead, you glare. “Neither you nor Jimin know what you’re talking about.”
“I guess only you know then, Y/N.” Yoongi doesn’t back away either. He eyes your lips the way you eye a strawberry popsicle on the hottest day of the year. You make a conscious effort to not let your eyes do the same. You don’t need to be reminded of how perfectly plush his lips must feel against everything they touch.
But if he wants to play this game with you, you’ll play along. And you won’t lose.
You lean in closer and graze your cheek against his. In a hushed voice, you say, “Do you want to know who really inspired that track?”
He nods against your skin. Your lips tickle his ear.
“I was visiting a friend last week, and I left his place with a new perspective. I thought, maybe this guy wasn’t just the grumpy asshole workaholic I knew him to be. Maybe he’d been hiding this dirty, sexed-up side of himself the whole time.” You pause for dramatic effect. “Do you want to know why I thought this?”
He nods again.
“You forgot to hide your personal moisturizer before I walked into your studio.” You finally lean back to see the look on his face. His pupils are huge, his lips are parted, but he doesn’t necessarily look embarrassed for someone who was practically caught with his hands in his pants.
In fact, the more time he spends thinking about it, the more he realizes what your story says about you. “So what you’re saying is that you do in fact have a raging boner for me and I was your inspiration for that sex track? I’m honored.”
You hate that he’s such a good listener who knows how to dissect every word you say.
“Would y’all quit saying I have a raging boner?” You roll your eyes, but it does feel oddly satisfying when Yoongi and Jimin treat you like one of the guys.
“What should I call it then?” Yoongi chuckles. He doesn’t do it often, but you like it when he laughs. “Horny eyes? Unfulfilled sexual desires? A wet p—”
You get up and give him a light shove against the desk. He’s still got a smirk on his face as you pin him there. “Call it a severe distaste for your bullshit,” you say sweetly with a handful of his shirt in your fist.
A strong hand cups your chin. He leans in close enough for you to smell the minty lip balm you always see him applying. You want to taste it. “Admit it,” he says, “You like my bullshit.”
You feel each of his words against your lips. By the time he reached “bullshit,” you’d already pressed your lips into his. He doesn’t fight it. You taste the mint, then his tongue.
His hands start to wander along your curves. He finds the bare skin between your crop top and high-waisted shorts and works his way up your ribs. You hope he can’t feel the goosebumps when his thumbs sneak into your bra and flirt with the sides of your breasts. You just want him to keep exploring and familiarizing himself with your body.
In the next moment, he has you pinned in with your ass on top of the desk. In front of you is not the grumpy idol boy you’ve maintained a clean, professional relationship with for the past two years. The Yoongi standing here between your thighs is an irresistible temptation. He’s your fantasy turned reality. And maybe he wants you as much as you want him.
But before you can loop your limbs around him and lasso him in for more, he steps back and points his thumb at the door. “I have to get back to my studio.”
No, he doesn’t. He’s just playing hard to get. And you hate him for it.
“To work or to jerk off?” you call out as he walks further and further away from you.
“Work, of course,” he sings. You don’t believe him. He’s a liar and a tease. “I’ll see you tomorrow night, Y/N. To work on the new track.”
You almost forgot about that replacement track. After all, Yoongi’s hands and lips were pretty big distractions that you once again fell victim to. But regardless of the hold he thinks he has on you now, you still want to establish strict criteria for the song you’ll be working on with him. Only one thing comes to your flustered mind.
“Wait, Yoongi.” You wait for him to turn back around in the doorway. There’s still a hint of a smile lingering on his face. He probably thinks you’re calling him back for some more studio mischief. Too bad he’s wrong. “I have one condition for that new track.”
“Go on.”
“It has to be better than the sex track I’m giving you for your solo album.” You kick your legs back and forth—the same legs that could’ve been squeezing Yoongi’s waist in a heated makeout session right about now. “Way better.”
You won’t accept anything less from the man.
“So it has to be better than your cute little erotic fantasies of me?” Yoongi puts a hand up. Then he’s gone. “Shouldn’t be an issue.”

I rewatched Titans S1-3 and made some observations that are interesting, to me anyway, about Dick’s mindset as it relates to romance/relationships and how DK has come to fruition. In 2x04 Garth goes to him for advice on how to move things along with Donna. Dick says he may not be the correct person to ask for advice. Stating that he was at the right place at the right time. Garth goes on about how he landed Dawn (a whip-smart blonde, that doesn’t need a man 🙄) to which he matter-of-fact says “After Dawn’s crash and burn with Hank, she probably just needed someone to fill the void.” Seemingly that’s why he wasn’t hung up about her leaving. He realized that her true love was Hank. He expected that, at some point, she would go back to him anyway. Dick’s advice to Garth - do nothing. “It’s like flooding a car engine. Keep pumping the gas, the more it floods. Take your foot off the petal and wait.” Suggesting to let things happen naturally. That also plays into his approach with Kory. He wanted her to come with him and the kids to SFO in 2x01, but when she said it wasn’t for her, he accepted and let her go (as she had allowed him to find himself). However, he was overwhelmingly happy to see her in The Tower 2x05, so much so that he temporarily forgot Jason had been kidnapped and was being held hostage by Deathstroke. Dick’s feelings for Kory are noticeably more intense than the other LI we’ve seen. She is, in fact, the only woman the audience has been shown any real sign of him being affected when she leaves. In 1x05 after “the sex” he was ready to open up to her, but held back because he thought he misread their intention. He’s abrupt yet pensive when she actually leaves, and thinks about going after her but doesn’t. However, when the Cougar comes a knocking his tone is softer, “Look Kory, I….In 1x08 after they decide to cool things off Dick is the one that has plans to leave, but when Kory gets up to leave his hand immediately goes to the spot she was laying in and agrees that perhaps at a better time they try again. In 1x10 after learning that Kory tried to kill Rachel and Angela asks her to leave, Dick goes after her. Kory wait! Kory! Wait God Dammit, talk to me. What’s going on?!” She’s getting her memories back and heads off somewhere. He enlists Donna to help him go after her. 2x09 after his confession to the team about what really happened to Jericho in the church with Deathstroke, the only person’s departure Dick is truly affected by is Kory’s, “You’re leaving now.” He actually went off and got himself arrested 😂 In retrospect S4 Dick realizing his feelings for Kory and him seeing Mar’i in 3x12 makes perfect sense because Kory is Dick’s true love and him waiting things out in the end pays off. In 4x01 Kory is by his side in the RV and he’s on his family road trip! I cannot wait to see how things unfold. DK is so much more than “the sex” They have a wholesome, grounded partnership. 😆
Yes, anon all of This!!!
when I did a rewatch you can really see the progression and how much he wants to say but just doesn't. I think it'll be poetic if he's the one to make the first move. I feel like the narrative is always prompting him to do something but he's not done it yet. I also feel like in season 2 he wasn't in the right headspace anyway. He could barely stand himself.
It's been a ride watching him figure out he deserves family and love. His father's ghost and his future daughter had to come talk to him even LOL.
Can't wait for him to get out of his own way in season 4.
