I was literally posting that I think it's a real shame that Teruhashi never got a proper character arc like almost everyone else did despite being one of the longest-running characters. All of her episodes are about chasing a man or being chased by men, except for the couple of episodes where she's extremely petty about another woman possibly taking her rightful place.

She never gets to question her commitment to patriarchally-defined femininity. She never gets to realize that her knee-jerk reaction to other women is formed by the same poisonous ideals that makes her damage her own health to please strangers who only care about her beauty. She never gets to confront her family about whatever in her upbringing made her think she has to carry the world on her shoulders.

Sorry for being interested in Teruhashi as a character and not just a vehicle for romance.

I don’t expect a furry to get nuance in situations like this but shit like honors education/basically what you were talking about in that post is something parents of nd kids put their kids through because of ableism and trust me a lot of people who went through these programs that literally thrived on being violent towards people with learning disabilities, teaching people that failure isnt an option, and possibly returning home to abusive parents if you got anything below a b- is going to make people grow up thinking they failed and aren’t doing right, it’s not because they think they are better than you or whatever tf you were trying to imply with that just completely tone deaf post of yours by the way!

And I welcome everyone who wants to to do so. Read historical sources! Record the plant species in your hometown! Citizen science is great! There are ABSOLUTELY examples of non-experts coming up with new theories through years of careful observation… and then working alongside experts to investigate them.
