A Few Timebomb Headcanons

Jinx never sends word to announce when she's coming back to Zaun, and Ekko usually finds out when he comes home and sees her casually unpacking her bag in his room

She always opts to stay with Ekko even though Vi and Caitlyn have a guest room she can use because Piltover still makes her uneasy and she misses her man

After the first time, Ekko started keeping a few drawers empty for whenever she decides to drop by

When she travels, Jinx always brings back different seeds because she knows the Firelights have been trying to make more plants grow in their community

Ekko always tries to have at least one cool new venue or initiative in Zaun to show her whenever she returns. On one particular visit, he takes her dancing in the Lanes and she's shocked that that's something people do now

Jinx spent a few years searching the world for a kind of tea Ekko didn't hate. She was not successful in this endeavor, but eventually learned that he doesn't mind hot water and lemon. (She makes this for him when he's up late working on projects or community initiatives)

At the end of her visits, Ekko never asks her to stay and Jinx never asks him to come even though it's what each of them yearn for most.

actually have so many thoughts & feelings about ekko arcane

he really lost his entire family, found a tree, and went fuck it if the tree can make it so can we and started a whole community/revolution about it. he is the figurehead of a whole little sect of a society fresh out of his teens. what the hell dude

his best friend/childhood crush became a crazy murderer and he was mostly fully on board with the idea of getting rid of her but then he finds a world where she is happy and goes fuck it im helping my universe's jinx get there too

he is so incredibly present-oriented for someone whose powers are going back in time, he doesn't want powder back even after seeing the universe where powder is happy, he wants jinx in this universe

he's an optimist and a realist he is finding the possibility of life and joy and then doing absolutely everything he can towards that end, but he won't sink the effort into something he doesn't see as possible. he doesn't want to help vi "bring powder back" when they first reunite because he's in the present where powder is gone, but the moment he knows it's possible for him and jinx to work together and be happy and whatnot he finds her and gets repeatedly blown up for his troubles. and like. he watches her try to kill herself over and over again just for a chance to talk. he throws a bomb at god. he flips off a cop as a kid. ekko my beloved no one is doing it like him and i hope his funky little tree lives forever <33

Ekko and Jinx are 100% the type of couple that even when they're not actually a couple, they're a couple.

This!! It's really bad that I love this trope for them especially with a Modern Au, like before they're dating they're already touchy touchy, Jinx draped over Ekko in a back hug, they hold hands casually, share food. They casually cuddle and they're always touching each other somehow, like if they're somehow separated it's really really hard to not see the like 4 matching charms they have on. (To be fair everyone Jinx loves has charms)

When they DO start dating, they’re no less touchy, but they’re so awkward that’s the only reason you can tell they’re dating. But give it a week and they’re all over each other and giving each other stupid nicknames. Then they wear matching outfits and they’re so corny oh my god.

But like people js know to stay away from the other, like Jinx is cute and people have major crushes on her but she’s gotten like 2 confessions since she’s always been stuck to the hip with Ekko she gets a note to meet them at the back of the school after lunch and she asks him to tag along and Yk they’re cooked.
