ever think about john boyega, daisy ridley, and oscar isaac’s collective enthusiasm during the force awakens era and then by rise of skywalker they were dead inside and never want to look at star wars again. makes me want to commit a violence.
#i was enthralled by the first movie. i watched it 12 times at the cinema#i know its a carbon copy from episode IV but i think thats what hooked me#it was a recipe that worked decades ago and it was fresh for a new generation to enjoy the hype#and then they proceeded to destroy any bit of hope and give power to bigots who screamed the loudest#also jj abrams can go fuck himself i hope he never feels satisfied with a movie ever in his life#it is a tragedy to see the light fade from their eyes#i remember Oscar Isaac talking about begging to keep Poe alive and how thrilled his uncle was to be an extra in the opening scene#they were so full of life and ended the trilogy as empty shells of their former selves - and i do not blame them#in fact i think they deserved to just check out of their characters and give the bare minimum for this project
