Why the rush and why so few characters? Well, at the end of Saturday I'm going to have to stop selling to the USA due to their government’s new executive orders that used to not apply to small sellers like myself but now would make each order face a lot of fees that me and my customers can't afford to pay or shouldn't have too (potentially a $80-$200 flat fee that customers would have to pay on just 1 sticker if they order it from outside the USA). So I wanted to get these up before I have to stop selling to the USA in a few days. If you have an open order (one that hasn't been shipped out yet) with me and want to add these too your order without paying for shipping again message me on Etsy and I can make a custom listing for you and then ship your new order with your open one.

someone I follow on the bird app just announced they're starting a very exclusive private fic server because they and a bunch of other people want to talk about how much they love the fics they're reading, and as an author can I just say that a really great place to talk about a fic you love is in the comments for that fic

I understand that people are trying to create safe spaces, but as the number of comments that I get on my fics dwindles with each passing year, knowing these spaces exist where my fics are being discussed, places that I am excluded from, makes me want to write fic LESS

I mean I guess who cares, right, because if I stop writing, there's 10,000 other people that will continue...but if you participate in a fic "book club" server and you say nice things there about a fic you loved, maybe copy and paste that into a comment on AO3?

the only thing fanfic writers are asking for in return for hours of hard work is attention. please don't rob us of the one thing that we hope for when we hit "post"

wanted to draw some art for me for fun after getting some more stressful news. went to bed last night with the volt portrait unfinished thinking i wasn't going to continue with it, but today i'm glad i kept trying with it and did a bonus sketch too. trying to let myself just quickly sketch and not be so precious about lines or colouring in. was weird doing semi-lineless for volt's hair as i've never really done lineless art before, but i think i like the effect.

From August 16th 2025 I will no longer be able to sell to the USA (unless things change)

At the end of July it was announced by the US government that the de minimis exemption for duty-free shipping on orders under $800 was going to be lifted by the end of August. What does that mean? Well, it means if you bought something off my Etsy shop you would might have to pay a $80-$200+ fee on just ordering one $2 sticker. No one is going to pay that, understandably so, and if they don’t pay it and the order gets sent back to me, customers will want a refund and I'll lose money and time spent making that order and won't be able to resell if it was a custom order. But that means I’ll no longer have any USA customers, which is about 2/3 of my Etsy sales, and I'll be losing money on having product materials and packaging supplies I may now never use. A possible workaround would be switching to DHL/UPS/FedEx but that’s not possible for me personally with my circumstances.

I already had to stop shipping to the EU last year alongside many other small and micro businesses and shops due to new regulations that are incredibly hard for individuals like myself to understand or comply to. Taking this hit as well... Is going to lose me so many sales and so much of my income and makes me question if it’s even worth carrying on making new artwork for my Etsy shop. I've been trying to get so much new stuff on Etsy and update Etsy more regularly since I'm really trying to move, and stress from what's going on with my other account... this is even more stress on me right now.

I will be turning off shipping to the USA on Saturday 16th August around 11pm UK time. If you are in the USA and wanted something off my shop this might be your last chance to get it. I don’t know if in a couple weeks the US government will change their mind and undo all of this so I apologise if you end up buying something thinking it’s your last chance and then I can open up shipping again in a month. I don't mean to create any false panic or rush to buy things, and I'll sure look like an idiot if this order gets overturned in a week. I don’t know if this executive order will stay in place or not or how long for and I have to err on the side of caution and believe that it’ll stay. I'm really sorry if the executive order gets overturned or changed and this no longer applies, I'm not trying to falsely scare anyone, but this is the information I have to work with right now and have to act on.

The only places I can ship to after August 29th (as of right now on August 11th) are: UK, Canada, Non-EU European countries, Asia, South American, Africa and Oceania countries.

Digital goods and commissions are not affected by this as they aren’t physical items that have to be shipped out so if you're in the USA you can still get any digital goods I have for sale/may sell in the future and can still order commissions, donate on Ko-Fi. It also won't affect whatever few pieces I still have up on my RedBubble shop (I haven't updated it in years and don't make any money on stickers, it pretty much just exists to sometimes make me money off a t-shirt) as RedBubble ships that out themselves. But RedBubble doesn't really allow fanart, I know there is fanart on there but it gets taken down a lot and a lot of my old fanart gets taken down off there constantly.

If any of this changes I will let you guys know, who knows if the US government will change their minds on this in the future.

If nothing changes and you wanted to purchase from my Etsy shop in the future you're only option will be putting the shipping address as someone you know who lives in a country I can ship to and have them then send it to you as a gift.

I'm sorry for another sad update. I hope they'll be a happier one soon.

i think we should talk about degendering more as a very real form of transphobia. you should not be calling a trans woman "they" when she's explained her pronouns to you. you should not be calling her a "person" instead of a woman. she's not too gnc, she's not too androgynous, you're not "confused" about her identity, you're degendering her. I fear we've gotten to a point we've forgotten the very basics of this movement is "trans women are women" and "trans men are men", and not just "trans people are someone who's pronouns you have to memorize so you don't offend them." you see her as a man in a dress and it pisses me off

INFORMATION ABOUT QUEER/ADULT CONTENT BEING DELISTED

Hey, I'm sure you've heard by now that several online retailers have blanket delisted queer/adult content. Information seems sporadic, so I want to create a masterpost of what happened, why it matters, and what you can do about it.

WHAT HAPPENED

You've probably heard that Steam and Itch.io have removed all of their adult/queer content from listings. Itch has even gone so far as to prevent creators from being able to get their payouts.

This is not Steam/Itch's fault. Mastercard and Visa have pressured them to remove their adult content. Visa and Mastercard collectively hold over 90% of the market share in payment processing. Unfortunately, if they cut you off, you pretty much lose over 90% of your gross income, which is a death sentence for basically any company.

This is also not just localized to Steam and Itch. Several anime/manga retailers have also been affected, and more companies are likely to follow. I would not be surprised if Patreon cracked down again soon, so if you have adult/queer content on there, I suggest you prepare accordingly.

The reason for this happening is not a response to the current US political climate, or these payment processors randomly deciding to force their puritanical views. It is a concerted effort by a group called Collective Shout, an anti-porn group masquerading as a feminist liberation org. (Look up the meaning of the word SWERF.)

Collective Shout has, allegedly, sent over 1,000 letters to Visa and Mastercard urging them to take action against certain digital retailers selling adult content. Which, thankfully gives us an avenue to respond. More on that in the third section.

WHY THIS MATTERS

For some of you, I don't need to explain why you should care. For others, let me explain to you why this is a massive cocern for everyone, not just adult content creators.

First of all, we've already seen perfectly sfw queer content catching strays from this. You should already be well aware that adult content and queer content are often conflated, and the two are pretty inextricably linked to each other. If you try to ban one, you will, inevitably, end up banning the other as well.

Secondly, this sets a precedent for "concerned citizens" to be able to pressure payment processors into removing whatever content they don't like from the internet. Even if you don't partake in adult content. Even if you're not queer. Even if this doesn't currently affect you or anyone you know right now, it will. They managed to do this with only 1,000 letters. If they get away with it, it'll only be the beginning.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Remember when I said they sent 1,000 letters to make this happen? I bet we can get more.

I wrote a form letter for Mastercard and for Visa. Fill in your name. Print them. Sign them. Mail them out. The addresses for the respective companies are at the top. It shouldn't cost much. Even international postage shouldn't be prohibitively expensive for most people.

Some people are sharing phone numbers and emails. That's fine, but I prefer a physical footprint. You can't see 1,000 phone calls. 1,000 emails don't take up physical volume. If you get 1,000 letters about something, you can see how much people care about it. That means something in this day and age.

IF YOU LIVE IN THE US there is a bill being introduced right now that stops payment processors from being able to control what people can and cannot purchase. Call your representatives. Right now. Even if you don't think they'll support it. Here's a script I wrote. And trust me when I say it'll help. I used to talk to politicians for a living. I know what I'm talking about.

SHARE THIS POST. Reblog it. Reblog it multiple times a day. Send it to everyone you know. Seriously. Everyone. Even if they're not on Tumblr. Get the word out. The most successful advertising is word of mouth. So use your voice and make sure people hear it. We've beaten this shit in the past and we'll do it again, but we still need to put in the work.

And how will I prove my age?

There’s a number of methods a site or app might use to ask you to confirm your age. They might do this check themselves or use another company to do the check. These methods include:

Facial age estimation – you show your face via photo or video, and technology analyses it to estimate your age. 

Open banking – you give permission for the age-check service to securely access information from your bank about whether you are over 18. The age-check service then confirms this with the site or app.

Digital identity services – these include digital identity wallets, which can securely store and share information which proves your age in a digital format.

Credit card age checks – you provide your credit card details and a payment processor checks if the card is valid. As you must be over 18 to obtain a credit card this shows you are over 18.

Email-based age estimation – you provide your email address, and technology analyses other online services where it has been used – such as banking or utility providers - to estimate your age.  

Mobile network operator age checks – you give your permission for an age-check service to confirm whether or not your mobile phone number has age filters applied to it. If there are no restrictions, this confirms you are over 18. 

Photo-ID matching – this is similar to a check when you show a document. For example, you upload an image of a document that shows your face and age, and an image of yourself at the same time – these are compared to confirm if the document is yours.

Not only is this such a fucking breach of privacy, but this is going to hurt adults in vulnerable and abusive situations. Some adults don’t have bank accounts or credit cards or even a fucking phone. I’m one of them. I could not give half of this information even if I wanted to. What the fuck is this. Fuck the UK government. This isn’t going to protect kids, this is just going to hurt adults, and I know full well when they say “sites that allow pornography” they’re going to be going after sites that have huge amounts of queer content, like tumblr and Ao3. Queer kids are gonna lose their fucking communities because of this shit. Abuse victims are going to lose online support systems because of this.

I’m genuinely fucked off about this, and worried about whether I’m going to lose every single one of my online friends. Anyone in the UK, please email your MP and sign this petition. It needs to reach 100k signatures to pass through Parliament.

I’m only hoping the backlash will be big enough for them to stop implementing these measures.

i don't know off the top of my head but there is a website you can always check and thats http://castalbums.org/ . it's a database of every musical cd and dvd, both stage and film, that has ever existed. it doesn't host them for streaming, it's just a database so you can check if a recording does exist. and this is just for official recordings not bootlegs.

the toho CDs listed on there for elisabeth are from 2000, 2001 and 2004.

as for DVDs/proshots there's the 2016, 2022, and 2023 casts.

so as far as i know there hasn't been an official toho audio or video recording for 2010/2011. there may be unofficial/bootlegs but i'm not sure.

So obviously Tenna was made to be in the baby girl meme pose? And since I made stickers out of the Ghost Papas in this pose I figured if I drew Tenna in it that could also become a sticker… and then I realised deltarune is full of pathetic men so Rouxls and Lanino are there, and then two Undertale boys for fun even though they are not pathetic. ID: The law has been passed already and is being implemented; users are required to upload photo ID (not free in the uk), their face (not a reliable way to judge age) or a credit card to verify their age or be locked out of significant parts of if not whole websites. Said websites are liable for data breaches and selling to third parties in which case people's full legal identity will be exposed. It also links your irl identity to your online identity, compromising any anonymity online.
