This is the primary reason why I use the Apple Music Store, Bandcamp, and similar services. I can buy the music, even if it’s a digital file, and keep as long as I have a viable storage medium. The artists get paid for every copy sold.

When I get to attend a concert, I will buy a physical copy of their music and/or other merch depending on what they have. The artist gets paid twice for me going to the show.

I wish I could still visit record shops easily. Tower Records used to be a worthy pilgrimage. The place I used to go in high school was maybe a 10-minute walk from my house and near a couple of universities. They had so much stuff I’d never heard of before.

Streaming sucks. Period.

Piracy can’t be stealing if paying for it isn’t owning.

Isn't it crazy how people use caucasian to make fun of white people while literally Completely erasing the struggles of a racialized group? Isn't it crazy how no one cares and people keep doing it without batting an eye? When other Yellowjackets fans, majority who are poc themselves, talk about how weird and frustrating it is that the writers introduced a random yte character and gave them a storyline when there were two (technically three but they killed off Lottie even when there was an opportunity for more) woc, who have been around since s1, that could've fit the mold instead (like Mari) and have actual personalities outside of building up/being the lapdog for another character. Or how often times many of the, limited, poc characters are often either treated poorly and killed off, or pushed to the side (Simone, reduced to the disposable black girlfriend trope and is nearly killed by her partner because she's in the way of a ship; Travis, since s1, had his trauma dismissed or ignored and was overly hated but no one talks about how he was SA'd by the girls he's now stuck with on top of having to eat his brother and not be able to grieve over it). How Taissa's whole storyline is just revolving around Van even with all the potential, especially given she's fighting to be free from her own mind, how Lottie's mental illness is treated so poorly as if it's not the butt of a joke then it's met with heavy criticism (and the only time she is met with sympathy for it, it's through the lens of a yte character embodying her and having an emotional conversation with her father). How you can have all of these reasons (and more) for being annoyed by Melissa's character or the direction of the show, and be met with #those fans downplaying these concerns, or just being overly antagonistic just because they find yte character #243 entertaining so obviously these conversations don't have merit. But this fandom has always had an...."interesting" way in which it discussed the poc characters on the show, so I'm not surprised.

My controversial opinion about Hob Gadling is that I believe he’s absolutely the sort of guy that “puts things behind him”, and tries to wash his hands clean of the things he feels icky about. This is implied pretty well in the show, with him blithely moving from soldiering and robbery to printing, from slaving to… whatever it was he was doing in the 19th century instead. That being said, this is not at all the same as actively trying to atone, or even making a concerted effort to be a better person, and I really wish fandom could tell the difference!

Kremy is a little insecure when it comes to "imperfections", whether on his clothing, in his act, or on his skin. He wears makeup to cover blemishes and scars, is constantly focused on smoothing out wrinkles in his clothes, practices facial expressions in the mirror...it's exhausting but he can't get himself to stop.

Years of traveling with Gideon and few good years with Frost, Gricko, and Torbek made him loosen his grip on excessive perfection a bit, but it's still a problem. The feywild has made it a little hard to care about those things at the moment, though, which freaks him out a little.

Eventually, years in the future, he actually starts feeling comfortable in his own skin, instead of constantly trying to crawl out of it.

Turns out every one of us who had legitimate concerns about DAV actually being what we were told (sold) it was or what we hoped it would be…were not, in fact, “just hateful a**holes” out to ruin everyone else’s enjoyment of the game, but instead, were 100% entitled to doubt BioWare and this whole project.

Before we call anon rude because let’s see it from their perspective, imagine getting an entire feast to eat. That can be pretty hard to start with so much that’s going on, but if they start with one thing they know they’ll like (aka one character they like) that can be the start for them leaping to other characters to finish the story and the bigger story. I struggle the same way to start book series if I don’t have at least one character that drives me to read it, it’s all about what can be the hook to push them through. Sounds like the anon is neurodivergent (just a guess) so they might genuinely not see it as rude and see it as a solution to even play the game to start with.

Btw absolutely adore the game, the complex and rich characters making them all so unique is amazing. The art is so pleasing to the eyes I love it!! I’m waiting for it all to get out at once so I don’t get too impatient. Shae however interests me the most, which routes will have the most lore for them? Will there be routes that give more lore in general based on decisions you make or do they all share the same amount? (I mean general lore not just Shae lore)

Apologies; we are not trying to accuse any asker of being rude! We are simply explaining our perspective as the developers / are trying to broadly encourage folks to dip their toes into other areas of the story outside of the main route(s) they're interested in, especially considering some routes will be made available sooner than others, and these other routes will likely contain additional scenes/lore of everyone's fave(s) regardless! We want to give each main cast member an equal amount of love (and lore) regardless of their overall popularity, so our goal is not to tut-tut anyone for having strong preferences for one character over the others, but rather to explain that you may be surprised by how much *more* you learn about your preferred characters in the other routes. That's all!

For Shae... Well, they were a foot soldier for one of the worst periods of the War. Lore wise, any other story that touches on the War will likely have content relevant to them and their experiences. ^^

ngl it sort of pisses me off the way adults regard Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen at times. Which could be a very interesting and poignant point in a good way if well written, but as it is it becomes mainly just frustrating and sad in a negative way.

Nanami saying Gojo never cared about anything or anyone other than himself crashes interestingly with Kusakabe saying the whole situation was just all his fault because he refused to kill Itadori. The students are very aware of those aspects of Gojo's personality, but overall they seem to regard him with way more kindness and fondness even when at their rudest, not truly coinciding with either Nanami's or Kusakabe's views.

They literally lied abt who they cast, took the time to get pats on the back for it, pulled the rug out from people's feet by literally going back into the past and hiring not only a white guy, but one who has already had a bite of the apple and then Said bluntly that this is what the future looks like.

Sometimes, it's best to just believe people when they tell you what they're about, and this is one of those situations. They can't ever walk this back.
