So uh- lately I haven’t had the time to draw any mafia Miguel (cuz I’m making a big project about my spider sona for SCHOOL and it has to be done by the end of May 🫠 and I can’t sadly include Miguel cuz I have to use original characters only for this 😭) but I drew THIS :D and I just wanted to share it with you :3

They are mostly sketches and ideas- (also, pls excuse the Romanian writing 😭)

The first are some sketches of the background characters ☺️ also, yes, the first one, the POLICE CAPTAIN is Sebastian (💀 we know how that’ll end…) anyway~ and-HAHA, Tyler Parker is Kira’s brother XD inspired by my one and only rat (lil brother)

On the right are some building sketches from Kira’s world. Basically, her world is full of life and greenery. Is inspired by ecourbanism :3 (an architectural style, I’ll leave some pictures below that shows the vibe a lil bit :)) that’s where the green from her suit comes from :) in that world, the color green means hope and life and the opposite (red) means destruction and chaos. ☺️🤭 also the reason why mafia Miguel’s eyes are GREEN 🥰 another thing- be because this universe is full of trees and fauna and more wild life than usual, her costume is inspired by A KNIGHT 🥰 (I like adding meaning to stuff :))

And on the bottom are some poster ideas 🫶💕

Pooks, oh my goodness… You're so incredibly talented, yet your work takes me by surprise every time you share something! 🥹💕💖 I’m literally like, “Omg, Lara is so talented!” 🥺🥺🥺 And then, you share more and I'm like, “RAHHH, LARA IS SO TALENTED!!!” 🥹😭🤌🏼💕

I had no idea you have more original characters already developed (besides Sebastian MJ), which are so amazing and cool! Your version of Jameson and Osborn are such fresh takes, I truly adore their designs!

And their names — I'm in love with them, especially with Nyanna and Olimpia! Also, I love how all the women are giving girl boss energy! We love to see it! 🙂‍↕️👑 I'm curious about Olimpia, pooks. Is she friends with Kira, or is she a villain? I’m curious since the Osborn character tends to have a villain arc. 👀

Also, I snorted when you said Tyler is based on your one and only rat (brother)! 😭😭 Not your brother catching strays on Tumblr! 💀💀

And then, there's Sebastian… 😞 I don't know much about him, but I keep thinking he's like the Peter in NC (Dulzura’s version) personality wise, where he was so sweet and loving, and I get all sad knowing he's eventually gonna pass away. 😞

THE ARCHITECTURE STYLE — POOKS! I love it so much! I would genuinely love to be part of that universe, no joke! It seems so peaceful with so much greenery. 🥺 I also learned something through this ask! I've always seen pictures of buildings like this (in fact, I believe the picture of the tall building covered in greenery next to the blank red buildings is a picture I've seen a few times in the past) on Pinterest, but I had never researched the name of this kind of architecture, so thank you for teaching me something new!

Also, the way the color green symbolizes hope and life in Kira’s universe! As soon as I read that, I thought about Miguel's green eyes and was like, “OHHHH! 🥹🤭 HIS EYES WILL GIVE KIRA HOPE AND LIFE 🥹🥹” and then, I read what red means, and I was like, “oop… Spiderman Miguel, my pookie… I'm sorry. 🥲”

Does Kira ever have a moment during the time she has a crush on Spider Miguel where she’s ignoring the fact his eyes are red and overall, his person is so intertwined with the color because of him being Spider-Man, even when the color symbolizes chaos and destruction in her universe? I wonder about that now that you’ve shared the color symbolism! Like, I’m imagining Kira being frustrated because she has a crush on him, but at the same time, the color of his eyes are associated with negativity due to the color symbolism in her world, and then, there’s Mafia Miguel with green eyes lol, symbolizing positive things. 😭

Either way, I LOVE the color symbolism! It’s so interesting because it foreshadows Kira ending up with Mafia Miguel! YOUR MIND>>>>>>

And omg, I was eventually going to ask you about Kira’s suit because I had noticed it’s like a knight’s! I haven’t said it yet, but I love that so much. 🥹💕 I find knights to be cool, so much that I have this original fantasy wip novel in which my female protagonist becomes one to pay a bargain to a king. Since she’s just a human (the king isn’t; I’m still deciding what his kind will be 🫠), she must train twice as hard to become a successful one, and that includes learning to wield a sword — so the sword Kira has is so exciting and cool to me! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I also love that her suit is green. She’s a symbol of hope for the people in her universe! 🥺

GIRL, THE POSTERS? YOU COOKED! I saw them and I immediately was like, “LET’S GET A MOVIE FOR KIRA, PLS!” They’re SO GOOD!! I think my favorite one is the one with her facing us because of her posture, the wind blowing her hair and the piece of fabric on her suit, and the way she’s holding her sword. Plus, you can see more of the city and the greenery, bringing out the green in her own suit! RAHHH, it looks so cool, pooks! I’m getting the urge to print it out and hang it on my wall! 😭

Pooks… I’m literally in love with everything you’ve shared with me. If I could respectfully consume it, I would! 🥰💖 But omg, you say this is for a school project? How much do you have left to do? its funny bc i was JUST talking about this recently, but i dont like pet names at all BAHAH, hence why seb and clora dont call each other anything, not even nicknames.... seb calls her the light/princess/a bird sometimes as playful and teasing jokes, but doesnt actually address her like that. and clora always calls sebastian by his full name as well, bc i was basing her dialogue/my writing off the game dialogue...bc for as close as anne and ominis are to seb, both of THEM call him sebastian in full, so maybe it was a victorian thing that nicknames werent really common? plus clora's so proper that it just feels like its in her personality to always call seb "sebastian"... i feel like if she ever DID call him "seb" he'd do a double take and be like ...HUH? who are you???......are you polyjuiced? LMAO. i do imagine seb calling clora "love" when they get older tho (not in hogwarts) bc i like how simple it is, and imagining him saying stuff like 'careful, love' makes me🫠🫠🫠🫠

aw TYY💖💖 honestly i didnt give the victorian setting TOO much thought, other than making clora more modest/not used to wearing trousers etc. like the actual victorian courting process was that youd ALWAYS be chaperoned by at least 1 other person and you wouldnt be able to kiss or anything, so the fact that our mcs are in a co-ed school with free reign already ruins that, so i wouldnt worry too much about it. a lot of it you can just wave off with the excuse that wizard society is more advanced than muggle society, which is true anyway LOL. i just kept the parts that i thought were fun/made it feel victorian ENOUGH but got rid of the stuff that was too annoying (one big example being the amount of clothing they wear....i said it in the notes for one of my chapters, but i wasnt about to make seb go through like 5 different layers just to touch cloras titty LMFAO) and no i didnt have 1 specific website i used, id just google "blank in victorian times" and look through all the articles and resources i could on that subject, and take little bits of it. SO YEA i wouldnt worry about it too much, just take what you want if you think it could enrich your story, and leave stuff out if its annoying to deal with BHAHA. and GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR WRITING!!💖💖

BAHAHA yeah sebs bark was defs bigger than his bite when it came to actually having kids/getting clora pregnant LOL. he defs loves the pregnancy part, but i feel like seeing her go through the actual labour was super hard on him/made him feel guilty bc he hates to see her in pain, let alone bc of HIM. not to mention that i imagine he would still work even once they have kids, so to leave clora with like 6 kids by herself isnt something he would have wanted to do LOL. once both lewis and celeste are in hogwarts tho i actually imagine seb and clora still doing curse breaking as well (albeit less dangerous jobs/not as far away) BUT YES having a third kid that looks like seb and is sassy like anne would be SO CUTEEE...a happy accident is a good idea too, tho i kinda like the idea of it being cloras idea.....like, she gets baby fever again now that the kids are kinda growing up and sebs like no i dont wanna put u through that again... but obvs seb wouldnt be able to resist if clora was begging seb to put a baby in her LMFAOOO its already as good as done at that point😇😇 AND THANK YOU, and im glad you liked it!!!🥹💖💖💖

I went into this one expecting just a dirty affaire, and he literally killed her husband in cold blood because of her, he was freaking obsessed💀 (to be fair she wanted it but that doesn't change the fact he would do it again and again)

And when the scene came where the mother announced their marriage, the way he held her hands and pulled her closer when she tried to pull away🫠

He looked at her like: "Don't pull away, we're married now, wife. :)"

At one point I started thinking he would turn into a freaking serial killer... but that could just be me, please don't judge.

He was about to throw that poor mother down(the stairs?) and I was like: "No way bro's gonna throw that lady off, nooo😭"

Thankfully he didn't and I can sleep in peace tonight. :) the actress playing her was in american horror story and I loved her acting in this one aswell!

(Oh and there was that one guy who was also in Little Britain, the guy who sits in that wheelchair)

That ending threw me off though, I was so confused.

I think I'm never gonna look at Scarlet Witch the same after this movie.

But Oscar was so perfect!!! His accent had me think of Steven Grant, forgive me💀

I may or may not find myself digging into Laurent LeClaire rabbit holes and read all fan fictions of him😭

Don't worry, I have no plans on doing something for him if that's what you fear.

Final conclusion: If you want Oscar Isaac, definitely watch it, the scene where he took his shirt off was definitely worth it.

I'm thinking: Julia Stiles in 10 Things I Hate About You, Kate Hudson in basically any of her vehicles with Matthew McConaughy, Sandra Bullock in The Proposal, Marisa Tomei in Only You, Zoey Deutch in Set It Up, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman to name a few FMCs I adore.

I love her all kinds of complex, but for me, the "com" part of romcom rests primarily on her shoulders. I want to root for her! Be embarrassed with her! Be willing to slash someone's tires for her! And for that... she's got to be have a certain quality that endears her to me... is it pluckiness? Is it humbleness? I don't know... all I know is that I've been offput about Dakota Johnson's casting since it was announced. I recently watched How to Be Single and I couldn't with her portrayal of the FMC, it really took me out of it (and it wasn't the whole movie - I enjoyed the Leslie Mann storyline a lot as I often do her)... the way Dakota portrays the comedic characters I've seen her play somehow makes me... uneasy? Like, at any moment she's going to break the fourth wall and cuss me out?! I always feel like there's a mean girl lurking beneath the surface, one who's on the in of an inside joke that she thinks I'm too dumb to get? Like an inner condescension just can't help but shine through, despite whatever character she's playing??!

I don't know why I feel that way - she's a very good actress I'm sure, so it's probably something super dumb like the intonation of her voice triggering something in me or my own inability to separate art from the artist 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ but I know I'm going to have a hard time getting into the movie 🫣 I still plan on watching it and supporting Celine Song and Pedro! And of course look forward to all the Harry content 🥰🥰
