I had not heard that you came in person to deliver such news.” “They have not, not yet,” said Námo, and to Elwing’s surprise his mouth softened into a small smile, there and gone again in the blink of an eye. “Your brothers are still very young; Mandos is not a place for children to grow. They are ready to return to the world, but unlike most others who pass through my halls they cannot make the journey across Valinor alone. Come to the gates of my halls with all swiftness, and you will find your brothers there.” He inclined his head, and was gone.

I am so honored to have my art chosen by one of my favorite writers (and favorite Elwing writer at that!) Thanks so much for being patient with me as I struggle with this artwork :')

Also! Funny story but I based this on one of the prompts on the suggestion sheet and that very prompter ended up picking this art to write for 😆 And I only found out before posting this 😶

The Arthurian legends tell a lot of tales about a mystical land beyond the western seas, where the fairies live. It is also said that it was in Valin... Avalon, where the legendary sword "Excalibur" was created by a powerful fairy. So here I present you the glorious ruler of the lands of Avalon... let me check up his name. Yeah, Fëanor is a good name for him.

Oh, brightest sun (TRSB 2023)

A hommage to Gustav Klimt's The Kiss. Acrylic paint on canvas, with gold acrylic colour, 45x45cm. This scene had fascinated me ever since I read about it in the Nature of Middle-earth, and even more so when I became obsessed with Mîm as a character. While the ship of Mîmrod was born in a discord server I am in as a joke, that joke led to me originally drafting the sketch for this painting.

@goschatewabn has taken up this prompt- in a pinchhit no less - and has written, a beautiful, beautiful, fic that also absolutely tears my heart out. Find more info & the link to the fic below!

The elf shone more brilliantly than the purest gems they had unearthed, and his kind face crowned with a wreath of white lilac was like the first rays of dawn after a long night.

One of the art pieces I did for @tolkienrsb / TRSB 2023!! This one features Mairon, pre-fall, fixing a dove's wing—although his methods are unconventional at best, and already have the hintings of their future dragons at worst. The symbolism felt irresistible >:3c

These are some designs, sketches and tests I did before I begun my piece There's An Unusual Guest In Our House for TRSB. I'll be honest, I had SO much fun with (almost) every aspect of the creation of this piece. But mainly just figuring out Thranduil gown and how it's going to be. For as much as I like how he's dressed in the movies I DO get tired of drawing the same outfits over and over again. And I honestly think his move design is missing some green, but that's a whole 'nother topic.

One thing that I'm just noticing is that the gold neckline in some of these is much lower than in the final piece, and i do like it lower... Hmm, maybe next time.
