The Arthurian legends tell a lot of tales about a mystical land beyond the western seas, where the fairies live. It is also said that it was in Valin... Avalon, where the legendary sword "Excalibur" was created by a powerful fairy. So here I present you the glorious ruler of the lands of Avalon... let me check up his name. Yeah, Fëanor is a good name for him.

Oh, brightest sun (TRSB 2023)

A hommage to Gustav Klimt's The Kiss. Acrylic paint on canvas, with gold acrylic colour, 45x45cm. This scene had fascinated me ever since I read about it in the Nature of Middle-earth, and even more so when I became obsessed with Mîm as a character. While the ship of Mîmrod was born in a discord server I am in as a joke, that joke led to me originally drafting the sketch for this painting.

@goschatewabn has taken up this prompt- in a pinchhit no less - and has written, a beautiful, beautiful, fic that also absolutely tears my heart out. Find more info & the link to the fic below!

The elf shone more brilliantly than the purest gems they had unearthed, and his kind face crowned with a wreath of white lilac was like the first rays of dawn after a long night.

Out of all people, he has elected the reserved, hard to approach librarian Erestor to be his teacher and subsequently tries to win him over with determination, surprise attacks and a lot of eager persistence. Spoiler: It works a lot better than any of the two of them had expected.

Original Prompt: Elrohir's memory of his beloved mentor no longer matches reality, even though it'll be decades still before he'll be an adult. I'd like both moments in the art somehow incorporated into the story, but if that's difficult, one is enough. Hit me in the feels please. @tolkienrsb

These are some designs, sketches and tests I did before I begun my piece There's An Unusual Guest In Our House for TRSB. I'll be honest, I had SO much fun with (almost) every aspect of the creation of this piece. But mainly just figuring out Thranduil gown and how it's going to be. For as much as I like how he's dressed in the movies I DO get tired of drawing the same outfits over and over again. And I honestly think his move design is missing some green, but that's a whole 'nother topic.

One thing that I'm just noticing is that the gold neckline in some of these is much lower than in the final piece, and i do like it lower... Hmm, maybe next time.

Saeros Rescued.

I am aware that many times many

of you have wondered why is there not enough content of

'definitely' the best ship of The Silmarillion: Eru/Saeros. I do not have the answer, but I have this interesting drawing of that

beautiful moment when Saeros was falling naked to his death,

just to be rescued by Eru himself.

Truly moving.
