Just like most people, QinniArt’s passing hit me like a train. She was young and talented, and she left us too soon. The art community truly lost an icon.

Rest in peace Qinni. You’ll be painting amongst the stars now.

Goldfish Mermaid

As I was painting this, I was reminded of @qinniart. She was a 4x survivor of open heart surgery and sadly died right before Covid. Her art was beautiful and often had glowing yellow goldfish or stars in it. She inspired many artists with her work including this piece here. I hope her friends and family are doing well.

I always thought of Qinni as one of the head honchos of the art community. One of the artists that would always be there and on top of everything. Realizing that she would no longer be there to create such inspiring pieces really crushed me and I’m sure many others. She took all of her health problems with such grace and kept fighting. I hope she’s having fun up in the stars ✨

Hello. I'm still reeling from the fact that @qinni is no longer here with us. She was a huge inspiration in my art journey and she had so much more to live for. It's really unfortunate that her life was cut short T_T

I hope she has found peace and happiness in the next life.

This is my tribute for Qinni☄

You were a wonderful artist. Once upon a time, I saw your drawings and fell in love with them. I found you on Instagram and you were one of the first (or even the first) artist that I started to follow. Your work is magical. These amazing colors, plots, composition, characters, and most importantly - the emotions that you can feel in every work. It’s very inspiring. It was you with your works who made me love these colors of the night starry sky, the colors of space and distant galaxies. And I also started using them in my drawings. You were an amazing person. Despite all the difficulties that you met on your way, you continued to move on, smile and enjoy life, share optimism with others. You survived 4 open heart surgeries, but still continued to give warmth and smiles. Even when you got this terrible diagnosis in December, even though you were scared, it hurt you, but you continued to joke on Twitter and comments, you continued to post memes. You never gave up. You are an example to many people. You inspire thousands and thousands of people. This is a big loss for the art community, this is a big loss for your near and dear ones, this is a big loss for all of us. You will forever remain in our hearts, and your work will continue to inspire many more. Now you are free from pain and torment. Now the whole galaxy, the whole starry sky is at your disposal and you can create further. Have a rest, our little star🌟

(While writing this, I burst into tears again. I’m crying for 3 days and still can’t believe it, we lost her so quickly, faster than what the doctors said. Such a bright person didn’t deserve all this suffering. I am very sorry…)
