But you can skyrocket away from me And never come back if you Find another galaxy Far from here With more room to fly Just leave me your stardust to remember you by.
Goodnight, Qinni

This is my tribute for Qinni☄
You were a wonderful artist. Once upon a time, I saw your drawings and fell in love with them. I found you on Instagram and you were one of the first (or even the first) artist that I started to follow. Your work is magical. These amazing colors, plots, composition, characters, and most importantly - the emotions that you can feel in every work. It’s very inspiring. It was you with your works who made me love these colors of the night starry sky, the colors of space and distant galaxies. And I also started using them in my drawings. You were an amazing person. Despite all the difficulties that you met on your way, you continued to move on, smile and enjoy life, share optimism with others. You survived 4 open heart surgeries, but still continued to give warmth and smiles. Even when you got this terrible diagnosis in December, even though you were scared, it hurt you, but you continued to joke on Twitter and comments, you continued to post memes. You never gave up. You are an example to many people. You inspire thousands and thousands of people. This is a big loss for the art community, this is a big loss for your near and dear ones, this is a big loss for all of us. You will forever remain in our hearts, and your work will continue to inspire many more. Now you are free from pain and torment. Now the whole galaxy, the whole starry sky is at your disposal and you can create further. Have a rest, our little star🌟
With love, Julie 💔
(While writing this, I burst into tears again. I’m crying for 3 days and still can’t believe it, we lost her so quickly, faster than what the doctors said. Such a bright person didn’t deserve all this suffering. I am very sorry…)

Amongst the Stars
I am so shocked and saddened.... Yesterday morning, I heard the news that my favorite artist, Qinni (QinniArt) passed away suddenly. I did not know her personally, but she was a huge inspiration to me, as she was many others. She had recently been diagnosed with terminal stage 4 cancer, and was given a year to live, so it was shocking to hear of her passing so soon. She was also a survivor of 4 open heart surgeries, and had struggled with failing health for a long time. I guess just with having such a hard time lately mentally, myself, I was so appreciating and needing her art and twitter posts about how she was doing. Her posts were funny and full of dark humor about her health, which is also how I deal with my own problems, so I just really related to her and found comfort in knowing that someone so amazing and inspiring was going through such difficult things, yet continuing to stay positive. She had hopes that she would beat cancer until the very end, even when all the odds said otherwise. Her strength to keep going, even in the worst circumstances, gave me more drive to keep going too, even when my own life seemed grim.
I think that I discovered Qinni when I needed her the most, and she helped teach me how to be strong, and carried me to a place where I can now continue on my own, armed with memories of her and her art. I will continue to draw and I will continue to try to heal! I hope to one day become a great artist, who inspires and uplifts people, like she did so easily. You will be missed and remembered by many people, Qinni Han. RIP amongst the stars you so beautifully painted.

After hearing of @qinni's passing I thought it would be nice to draw something as a tribute to her. Here's a piece I made that's heavily inspired by a lot of her artwork that I really liked. I didn't follow her closely but she still definitely inspired me a lot and will continue to, and was a really big and wonderful part of the art community. Rest in peace Qing Han, your art was absolutely gorgeous and your determination will always continue to inspire me. Thank you, and I hope you're at peace among the stars now. ⭐️✨💖

When I joined the Instagram art community in 2017, Qinni was one of the very first artists I found. Her work was absolutely stunning to me- the fact she was so young and talented was unfathomable to 16 year old me. When I learned of her rare heart condition and that she survived open heart surgery three times, I became even more in awe of her. Her art was so unique and masterfully done- I wanted to be just like her. I think all of us wanted to have that same drive to do art and not let anything get in our way from accomplishing our goals.
"Trapped" was the very first artwork that made me extremely emotional, to the point of crying. The piece was powerful because I could feel her emotions through it. The illustration depicted a girl in a hospital gown with IV tubes hooked up to her, while shes painting glowing stars in the sky with a wondrous, yet broken look on her face. This was before Qinni was diagnosed with cancer, but she was still often bedridden due to her heart condition.
A month or so ago, I started following her twitter account when I found out she was diagnosed with cancer, and that she had a year or so left to live. It felt so unfair that this beautiful soul who had gone through so much before now had to face yet another challenge that could cost her her life. I followed her every tweet just to make sure she was okay.
As many of you probably know, she passed away suddenly earlier this week. This was incredibly hard for me to process. Having one of my artistic heroes gone just like that was too much for me, especially after my dog had a health scare.
The first couple of days I worked on this illustration for her, I honestly had trouble fighting back my tears. I almost cried five times each day because the thought of her passing was so sudden and upsetting.
@qinni meant so much to millions of creatives like myself. I still can't believe she's gone. Even though I didn't know her personally, I felt like I connected with her so much. Her self-depricating humor and her magnificent artwork were both aspects I connected with. She was such a strong-willed spirit and the fact she pulled off what she did in the time she had was truly groundbreaking.
Thank you for everything, Qinni. May you rest in peace and be with the stars. 💙

A beautiful Star left us. She flew back among the stars and is now shining, brighter than ever in the sky. She leaves behind a trail of stardust for us so our path will always be illuminated by her talent and her bravery.
Thank you @qinni for inspiring me and so many people around the world not only with your art but also with your strength and your positivity even in the darkest time. You reminded us how beautiful and short life is and how it’s worth cherishing it, fighting for it and living it even when it was so unfair to you. You taught us and gave us so much. We will always be grateful and in your debt. Now draw in peace among the stars. You deserved it, at last. 💫
My condolences to her family and loved ones. She will be missed. Truly. 🖤

~~ Swimming in a sea of stars ~~
I was absolutely devastated to hear about the passing of @qinniart the other day.
I, myself, didn’t follow her account but I remember when I was younger I saw Qinni’s “Mapping out the constellation with her freckles, in the night sky.” Piece (I can’t really remember when or where it was but it was before I had social media), I remember thinking wow I want to draw like that one day. I think that it is amazing that someone is able to inspire someone else with just one piece. She was a truely a very special person.
It’s heartbreaking that we will never get to see amazing art like hers, or get another kind, optimistic and funny person like her again. But I believe that we should stay optimistic through this hard time, because if she was able to do it we can too.
Thank you Qinni for your contribution to the world and for your kindness and optimism. Your starry legacy will live on and well done for being so so so strong. Now you will get the rest you deserve.
Smile brightly for us up in the stars.
