#Watching TRIANGLE

For about half an hour, the movie feels like it's going to float on a gimmick and for the most part it does, but because it's so well made, you don't care and just enjoy the movie gimmick or not.

There are some indelible images that don't rely exclusively on gore.

The story forces you to pay attention more than you usually do in movies like this.

A movie that works better the second time around, but it works pretty well the first time especially if you go in cold.

Some of the acting is pretty raw and you can see the limits of the FX budget but they only take you out of the movie temporarily.

The best movie named Triangle from 2009.

Liam Hemsworth is in this before he played second brother to that other Hemsworth.

Watching the X-Men: First Class documentary and omg they’re literally saying Charles and Erik were a “tragic romance” and Hank & Raven were intentionally written to parallel them as the “making and breaking of a relationship” and Moira’s bigger role in the earlier script drafts would’ve created more of a “love triangle” and omg this is actually real, the filmmakers actually said it, you guys there is no more room for debate here, it’s all canon.

The older I get the more I realise there is just nothing to Jean and Logan as a couple, he's just the cool bad boy alternative to her straight laced boyfriend, and no writer has ever bothered to develop them beyond that. Logan really has more of a dynamic with Scott than he ever had with Jean. When written well, Scott and Jean feel like genuine partners with neither character overshadowing the other, but when she's paired with Logan, Jean seems to just become the love interest or worse a prize for Logan to win for being a good person, the relationship always reduces her.

So because every Howl’s Moving Castle book cover that isn’t sixty five dollars is in that sort of- gaudy, super saturated, 80s-90s style, I’m making my own. I still need to order the book (cuz I only own the audiobook), get the proper color of fabric, and find some decent gold paint, and once I have obtained all of the proper components, I’m gonna give it the hardcover it deserves. >:3

LMFAOOO this is a stupid thought I had but the recent wave of "Logan shows the X-men he's moved on and they realize how they've treated him" fanfiction reminds me of those "Peter Parker takes a Field Trip to Stark Industries" fanfics. Like exact same setup, except instead of Peter showing off to his highschool class that he's an intern and Iron Man's "son" we have Logan showing off to his ex teammates how he's capable of being tender and settling down with Wade as his "husband." ...We've come full circle.
