Hi Gaia! If it’s not too much could you please make a post about indicators of moving out of town/abroad in your solar and lunar return chart? I’ll give you a cookie 🍪
I will accept the cookie, thank you. Nom. ☕ 🍽️
I moved a lot throughout my life so I think I'm somewhat familiar with the placements lmao. I'll just be listing some of them as examples.
Usually when concerning moving or traveling whether abroad or at a different state (whether through airplane or not), you'll typically be looking at the 9th and 12th house.
Personally however, I found that it's backed up even more if you have aquarius or aries rising that month; you're facing something new.
Here are some indicators of
moving abroad & outta town

In the solar return chart
໒꒱ 4th house ruler in Sagittarius/9th house
Ex: In my 2015 SRC I moved towns. I had and aquarius IC (°11 aquarius) & Saturn was in Sagittarius. I moved towns to settle in our new house. Jupiter was at the 11th house at °22 degrees. My social circle changed, I was the new popular kid on the block. POF was in the 8th house (Cancer w Taurus degree). Switching family homes.
໒꒱ 9th house stellium in aquarius/pisces/sagittarius
Ex: In my 2009 SRC, I had Neptune (°24 pisces), Jupiter (°24), Chiron (°22 Capricorn), Moon (°22) & True Lilith (°9 Sagittarius) in Aquarius in 9th house. When I switched schools, I found it difficult to blend in with the other kids. I remember thinking "Man they're kind of dumb". & By that I mean they had different interests, they were actually kids. While I was a "Tinkerbell" as my mother called me. There was also a language barrier between me & the other kids. Most of my friends were either 3-5 years older or adults/teachers then. I was a Gemini rising (°3 Gemini) that year. Mercury was in the 8th house in Capricorn (°19 Libra).
໒꒱ Pisces/Aquarius 9th house
໒꒱ Mars & pluto in the 4th/9th/12th house
໒꒱ Neptune in the 4th/9th house with pluto/mars/9th house ruler
໒꒱ 9th house ruler in the 4th house & vice versa
໒꒱ Mars & Sun in the 9th house
໒꒱ Part of fortune in the 9th house
໒꒱ 9th & 8th house stellium
໒꒱ Jupiter in the 9th house
໒꒱ Eros in the 9th house (decent booster)

In the Lunar return chart
໒꒱ Sun in the 8th/9th/12th house
໒꒱Mars in the 12th house
໒꒱ 4th house ruler in the 9th/12th house
໒꒱ Pluto or Mars in the 4th house
໒꒱ Pluto or Mars in the 12th house
໒꒱ Sun in the 3rd house in Scorpio w °24 degrees
໒꒱ Sun in Pisces with a Scorpio degree
໒꒱ Pluto in the 6th house
໒꒱ Part of fortune in aquarius/in the 6th/8th/9th & 12th house
໒꒱ North node in the 8th/9th house
໒꒱ Aquarius or Aries rising
In my late September 2024 Lunar Return Chart, I had an aquarius rising at °1 when I first moved into uni. It's in a different state (& I had to get on a plane to get here). During this time, I also had Sun in the 8th house & (true) lilith in the 9th house. Everything points to some sort of change or move; facing or getting used to a different environment. That was my most recent "big move". My 4th house ruler (venus) was in the 9th house as well.
໒꒱ gemini 4th house
໒꒱ pisces 4th house
໒꒱ Neptune in the 6th house

Placements are interchangeable between the solar return chart & lunar return chart. Please note that having only one or a few of these indicators that are more so "boosters" than solid potential do not immediately mean moving abroad. It's normally a culmination. Indicating a big move.
The reason of this move can usually be seen through the planets themselves & their degrees.
Lots of Gemini degrees? (°3,°15,°27) It's likely for school.
Lots of Capricorn or Virgo degrees? (°10,°22) & (°6,°18) It's most likely for work.
Lots of cancer degrees? (°4,°16,°28) It's likely for family or sentimental reasons; moving homes in general.
Note that these are not really travel indicators, but moving indicators. Be it moving homes, towns or countries.

Reading Visser One’s book she always strikes me as one of those white women settlers that wanted to “save” Native Children from their culture.
This led to the Stolen Generation in Australia and residential schools in North America.
Heck when we see her in the series she is literally piloting a women of color’s body and cosplaying motherhood.
She thinks she is so much better then the colonist that want to just burn up villages.
She’s a white women liberal putting on a gentler face to what is at its end brutal colonialism.
It’s worth noting that alien invasions have been metaphors for colonization since War of the Worlds
I completely agree. There's a blog post I can't now find about older white women reacting to The Help by talking about how their housekeepers, nannies, cooks, etc. were "part of the family." Which — first of all, no. Your employee is your employee. The rights and respect you owe to your employee will always be different from those you owe to your family. Do not devalue their work, and thus the traditional work of women, by pretending that it isn't labor. But secondly...
"We're friends" or "we're family" sure is easy to say from a position of power. Anyone short on power but long on common sense understands the importance of ingratiating yourself to those in charge. Anyone in charge can choose to delude themself that this time when the kid goes "I love you, Miss Hannigan" they mean it. Such is the nature of power.
Like, one I think about all the time: my professor whom we called Professor Trelawney behind her back because she would constantly spout pseudoscience in class. She's not the least favorite teacher I've ever had, but she's on the short list — and on the day I graduated, she introduced herself to a family member as "Sol's one of my favorite students, and I'm probably Sol's favorite teacher." Why? Because I got her to think that. Why'd I do so? Because the semester before, Dr. W had knocked down my grade for "irrelevant discussion" after I argued with his statement that Ireland should still be ruled by England. I keep Dr. W, and the subsequent effect on Prof Trelawney, as my touchstone when I'm handling student conflict. Because. Such. Is the nature. Of power.
As people pointed out after watching Crash: any rich lady can hug her housekeeper any time she's feeling sad, and the worst the housekeeper can do is quit. Most housekeepers with any grasp of social norms wouldn't hug even their favorite boss even on her worst day, at least not without first getting explicit permission. Such is the nature of power.
And these are all softer examples, of positions that you have the legal right to walk away from. (Whether or not you can afford to quit your job is obviously a whole other ballgame.) When it's not just school or work, but it's your guardian or the person who literally owns you... Fuck. Kiss ass or die, I guess.
And if you want concessions, you'd better put in all the emotional work to get them. You have to be sad about being less powerful than the help-giver, but not too sad. You have to be completely helpless in the face of random misfortune, or else you don't deserve help. You have to be grateful when the help arrives, in such a way that makes it clear the helper mad your problem all better but that your problem was completely intractable without their intervention. Most of all, you better do it with a smile: I love you, Miss Hannigan.

Krile: And who is that I spy but young Alphinaud Leveilleur himself! I daresay someone's grown an ilm or two in my absence─or are those lifts in your boots? Alphinaud: We, uh... Ahem. Miss Krile and I met at the Studium, years ago. I shall forever be indebted to her for her sage guidance. Krile: It was no small task keeping him out of trouble, believe you me! The youngest ever to enter the Studium─him and his sister, eleven-year-old prodigies. Krile: Suffice it to say, social graces were not among his list of talents! Striding up to his seniors on his first day, head held high─what was it he said again...? Alphinaud: Thank you, Krile! Krile: For what? I haven't finished yet. Would you care to attempt a more dextrous deflection? Alphinaud: Ahem... Mayhap we should save this delightful conversation for a more fitting occasion, when pressing matters do not demand our undivided attention. Krile: A bit much, but better. I can tell you have been putting your skills to use here in Eorzea. Henceforth, I trust you will dazzle me with your eloquence at the first time of asking.
hey remember when Krile first showed up in Eorzea and immediately murdered Alphinaud in front of a live studio audience

Nobody Told Him Part 5: Tempted by the Promise of Natural Spring Water
Neuvillette, surrounded by Natlan's heroes: So what you are telling me is that none of you know where the Pyro Archon is?
Citlali: Why would I? I'm not her mother! She's a grown woman, she can go where she wants.
Neuvillette: Yes, of course she can, but surely one of you must be close enough to her to have an idea of where she went.
Xilonen: Sorry, man. Best advice I can give you is follow the sounds of a giant rock smashing into a volcano. If that doesn't work, look for motorcycle tracks and you'll find her eventually.
Neuvillette: ...what is a motorcycle?
Xilonen: It's a... hmm. How do I describe the Flamestrider? Okay, think of it like this; if you see a roughly-human-sized fireball mounted on a big armor-plated wheeled thing racing across the plains of Natlan, then that's probably her.
Neuvillette: I am dismayed to hear that she is using her misappropriated elemental authority to engage in such frivolities.
Mualani: Ooh, speaking of frivolities, do you wanna come visit my tribe? We're holding free surfing lessons this week, and afterwards you can relax in the hot springs!
Neuvillette: Do not attempt to bribe me, mademoiselle. Justice shall not be delayed or denied.
Mualani: Aww, are you sure? The water is perfect this time of year. And call it a guide's intuition, but I get the feeling that the Koholasaurs would absolutely love you.
Neuvillette: Well, ah... I suppose that spending a bit of time to reconnect with my kindr- ahem, I mean, your saurian companions couldn't hurt. And it should not take more than a few minutes to sample the local spring water...
Mualani, pulling Neuvillette away by the hand: That's the spirit! Come on, if we get going now we can still make it there in time for dinner!
Later...
Mavuika: The Iudex of Fontaine was here? Where the hell did he go?
Kinich: Mualani got her claws in him and set him up with the "Meztli Extended Super Deluxe Hot Springs Vacation" package. We'll probably never see him again.
