maybe there’s a poem here in this pie filling. in this pad of paper you won’t get rid of despite (or because of) the shitty exterior. homemade pie crust is never pretty. but it wouldn’t be good if it was. my grandmother’s thumbs sit perfectly between crimped edges of dough. my thumbs sit perfectly between crimped eyebrows worrying away at your worry lines. the pie filling was always my favorite. rich and sweet and satisfying. like soft kisses and warm hands.

I just find something so romantic about Sprat's obsession with the professor. Imagine you've lived forever and all people you knew and loved died. To gain immortality you became this contraption of a puppet but also alive and you want answers but nobody is there to give them. You keep to your cave for thousands of years and then see another blue roughly your size creature that's similar to you in every way but instead of math which is your passion he studies history

Given the etenal feud between humanities and mathematicians that you created you thought oh okay we won't connect over the interests but at least he is immortal like me.

But then even that turns out to be untrue and you feel betrayed so you make this plan to take everything away from him because you don't know what human connection is you think cults are the only way to interact. So you plan everything and then he turns out not only to be a historian but a time traveling charming fool that can't even appreciate your plan. So you take everything from him hoping that that will teach him a lesson. Hopefully you wont realize that your obsession borders on love.
