What good is a leader who can’t empathise with the lives of the people he was supposed to be leading?

This thought has plagued Sunday ever since he exiled himself from Penacony, since he joined the Astral Express in a journey of self-discovery and reflection, embracing the Nameless lifestyle so he can broaden the horizons that Penacony had restricted. There, he was so detached from the reality of the people he was trying to help, so trapped in a whirlwind of his own ideals to experience humanity, too buried in official duties to rejoice in the many wonders of the universe, the simple pleasures and the grandiose ones.

Since boarding, the former head of the Oak Family has experienced humiliation, desperation, and many close calls with death. It seems he underestimated how easily trouble found the Trailblazers, and the diary he carries with him has been updated with multiple entries, filled with exasperated recounts that ended with him being grateful that he is still well and unscathed.

Sunday has also experienced laughter, connection, and the bond of humankind- something he did not have before. When he controlled the Oak Family, had everyone under or at his fingertips, the only person he could depend on was himself. When Robin left to travel the cosmos, what was he to do than learn the bitter truth of independence and self-sufficiency?

Yet, he sits on the couches of the Astral Express and there is bound to be another by him, trying to converse with him like an old friend. He is mentioned in the conversations like an individual who they keep around because they want to, not because he is crafty, not because of what he can offer. No, he can’t offer anything right now, and the crew still wants him to stay.

He learns more about humanity with each passing day.

However, perhaps one of the more puzzling feelings Sunday has had to confront was… infatuation.

It’s a tricky feeling. It sends his heart into overdrive and his limbs to become jelly, and at the epicentre of this hurricane of uncharted territory, is you.

“Sunday?” Your voice comes through muffled from the other side of the door. He almost jumps off his mattress at the sound.

“Door is open,” he responds as calmly as possible, heart thrumming alive at the sound of your voice, beating in time with the rapid succession of your knocks.

The door slides open slowly to reveal you on the other side. “Pom Pom just wanted to let everyone know that we will be jumping soon.”

“I see, thank you for letting me know.”

“No problem,” your gaze then flickers to the angels that flock around him and he watches as your eyes gleam with fascination.

Then, without any hesitation or reluctance, you enter his room and approach him, the door sliding closed without your weight to hold it open. You stop before him without a bow, without a formal greeting of ‘Mr. Sunday’- no, you stop before him like an equal, which you most certainly are. In fact, he would even think of himself below you, but Sunday needs to unlearn this assumption of hierarchy, needs to not let it define the relationships he forms, even if he looks up to you and finds you reverent.

“Hey, I’ve never seen these little guys before!” You exclaim, sticking out a hand to act like a perch for the angel-like summons. One of them flits up to you and stays on your outstretched finger. “Well, not this close, at least.”

It keens at your praise. Like owner like summon, Sunday supposes.

“I don’t tend to bring them out. They are for combat purposes,” he explains.

Your eyes widen slightly. “Are you trying to pick a fight with me right now?”

“What? No! That’s not it-”

“-I’m kidding, Sunday,” you snicker. “We’re friends, I wouldn’t want to fight you.”

“Right,” he exhales, “I wouldn’t want to fight you either.”

“Besides, we already did once.”

He freezes at the memory, remembers when he got hit with the exact train he is currently boarding.

You, however, are unphased by the recollection, and even continue to rub salt in the wound. “I remember fighting against these little summons too, your owner was a real meanie, do you guys know that?”

They flock around you, spinning and fluttering like little fireflies. Instinctively, Sunday covers his flustered expression with his wings, and he doesn’t budge, even when he hears your laugh, the sound almost enough for him to melt into a puddle by your feet.

“Hey, hey, I was kidding, sorry if I took the joke too far.”

He uncovers himself with an embarrassed sigh, not meeting your eyes. “It’s okay, I think the memory is just… humiliating, more than anything.”

“There are no more hard feelings. Everyone has accepted you on board and none of us think of you to be the same person you were when we first met, I promise.”

Your words are completely earnest, Sunday knows it, can feel it in the way you tell him so unabashedly. So who is he to deny it?

“Thank you,” he says, finally looking up at you, “it means a lot to hear that.”

“I’ll say it as much as you need. Well, I’ll get out of your hair now, just prepare for the jump-”

Your sentence is interrupted by a shriek when you lose your footing, and Sunday feels it too, the force so strong that even he, while sitting, feels as if is being stretched and pulled into a miniscule hole. What he also feels is your body colliding on top of his, and his hands come to your waist to catch you in an attempt to prevent you from slipping, but it’s not enough and he’s falling with you onto the expanse of his made bed.

The Express is warping to some expanse of the universe, and his stomach drops at the sensation, spreading to the ends of his nerves before disappearing, just replaced by the extremely odd feeling of being pulled through the stars. He just hopes you’re comfortable, standing up whilst warping is tough, he heard the stories of when Stelle first tried to do it and how she fell flat on her face.

When the feeling of normality returns and Sunday doesn’t feel like he has been stretched out, he opens his eyes and tries to take in the sight before him.

You. Your face. Centimetres away from his.

He’s always thought you were pretty, but seeing you this close… perhaps just pretty is an understatement. His gaze unwillingly flicks to your lips and he wished he hadn’t because suddenly the urge to sit up and lick into your mouth is raging; a fire that can’t be contained.

Sunday wants you to push him down by the shoulders, with no gentleness or mercy, and just… devour him whole. His hands want to find you by the hips and pull you into him more than humanly possible, he wants you to indent yourself onto him so he can remember your taste forever, so that, in a way, you couldn’t ever leave him.

Alternatively, he would happily flip around and pin you against the mattress. He would pry you open, explore the cavern of your mouth with his tongue and suck your sacred essence out of you so that it can stay and settle in his bones instead, replacing where marrow should be. He wants to lay you vulnerable so his hands can explore places only you want him to touch, wants to take you so that you stay forever, wants to feel your tongue against his, wants to hold your face and feel how you react when he takes his time cherishing you, revering you.

This feeling is too much, these thoughts are overpowering, yet nothing has ever been more clear. Sunday wants you, lusts for you, even, and he’s never felt so intensely for someone before.

How would the symphonies sound when they learn of the atrocities he wants to perform?

Temptation holds him close and infects him with a desire so strong, he’s practically frozen in place as you recover from the shock, holding yourself up with your arms that were on either side of his head.

“Ow, I’m sorry!” You immediately exclaim, before realising exactly what position you are in, your chests are pressed together, and you’re mortified to think about how close you were before you picked yourself off him, and- his… his hips… are pressed against yours- okay, you needed to leave as soon as possible.

You scramble off him like he had burnt you, frantically shouting apologies whilst doing so, the words clumsy and rushed, but neither of you can deny how you miss the warmth that was suddenly ripped away.

(If he wanted to, you could have stayed in that position with him.)

Then, before you could get anymore thoughts, you turn and practically bolt out of his room without another word, leaving a hot and bothered Sunday behind.

Game day was your favourite, the build up of emotions, the performance anxiety mixed with the joy you felt every time you stepped onto the pitch. Nothing could ever beat the highs you felt when playing the sport you loved so much. Today was one of those days, well it was meant to be, yet the difference was that a very discoloured and swollen ankle caused by a dodgy tackle during international break meant you’d be missing out. The Barca medical team had decided it would be best to miss out on the upcoming away game, advising you to stay home and focus on rehab for the couple of days that your teammates would be away.

Alexia had always been overprotective, both as your captain and girlfriend, she always had your best interest at heart and wanting her squad at full fitness meant she was quick to agree with the medical advice, even if that meant a couple days of prolonged separation. At first she did try her best to figure out a way you could successfully rehab whilst traveling with your team, but given the amount of walking an away trip often endured and the crutches you were temporarily restricted to, she decided against it.

“Lo siento mi amor, we both know it’s for the best” Alexia hummed, her hand pressed against her cheek as you were saying your goodbyes at the front door of the shared apartment. Your body half limped against the wall as your crutches had been abandoned next to the sofa in your bid to say a proper goodbye to Alexia.

“Can you change your mind? It’s not too late for me to pack some things” You muttered, leaning into her soft hand as her thumb rubbed back and forth along your cheek.

“Cari, you know what my answer is” She whispered, planting a small kiss on your forehead, leaving you to mumble in defeat.

You said your goodbyes and Alexia was soon gone, leaving you alone with the lack of comfort from your favourite person.

The next few days were full of rehab at the training center, consistent check ins from your girlfriend and a couple of facetime calls when she didn’t believe that you were doing your at-home recovery, something that Alexia often had to bribe you into doing.

You were now more stable on your ankle, meaning you could get around without the reliance on your crutches, allowing you the extra freedom of moving as you pleased. Ale was due home in a couple of hours and you knew she’d be tired so you set about the task of tidying your apartment. It didn’t take too long but the slightly limp in your step did somewhat slow you down and drain extra energy.

After finishing you were quick to take a shower and put on a change of clothes, consisting of a pair of Alexia’s Spanish national team shorts and her hoodie. Stumbling back towards the sofa, you planted yourself on it comfortably, waiting for the door to open to embrace the person you’d had been missing.

It didn’t take long for you to adjust yourself into a comfier position whilst the time seemed to drag. You searched for a questionable English reality show, one that Ale would ridicule you for whenever you asked to watch it together, she never got the appeal of British humour yet it made you feel at home. Your phone pinged as you made another adjustment to your leg to seek some kind of peace from the discomfort of baring weight on it had caused.

Get some sleep, the plane has been delayed slightly so i will be late home and i know you’re tired already

You furrowed your eyebrows at her suggestion of sleep, determined to greet her with wide eyes and a smile as soon as she entered the room.

Ale i’m wide awake, i’ll be here when you’re up so you can tell me all about it

In reality you already knew all about it, you had watched the match with Ellie, who was also kept back from traveling due to recovery, you had been receiving updates from both Patri and Pina about the ‘cute’ things Ale had said in passing conversations about you. As well as a message from Kiera asking if your girlfriend would ever not make up excuses for the time when you both snuck away from a team celebration to cuddle. Her usual excuse was to blame it on you, but in reality she was tired after a big win and didn’t want to look too soft to the rest of the team.

*Incoming FaceTime call from Amor*

“Hola cari” Alexia smiled, as the phone lit up your face.

“Hi babe, everything okay?” You smiled back, stifling a yawn that tried to expose your tiredness to your girlfriend.

“Just thought I’d check in before the flight, make sure you’re as wide awake as you say you are” Her smile shifted into a smirk knowing exactly the type of person you were.

“No confias en mi, amor?” You questioned, tilting your head to the side, teasing her intentions.

“No cariño, confío en ti, pero siempre estás cansada y siempre te quejas." She responded, mocking your head tilt with similar teasing intentions.

“Ale who’s that?” Patri said, peering her head into the screen, a smile appearing on her face as she realised who it was, “It’s lover girl!” She added, using the nickname she had given you when you first let her know about your relationship. She was quick to take the phone from Alexia’s han for herself.

“Patri, give her the phone back” You laughed, knowing she had every intention of causing some kind of trouble.

“No, venga, say hello to everyone” She held the phone up, announcing your presence causing you to wave at your teammates that had now focused their attention on the phone.

“Are you staying up to give your girlfriend a goodnight kiss?” Pina laughed, as she began to blow kisses towards the phone.

“Oye, dámelo” Alexia said, standing as she grabbed the phone from Patri’s hand swiftly, “The flight is boarding now amor, go to sleep”. You mumbled in response before saying your goodbyes and hanging up.

Even though you were determined to stay awake, it didn’t take long for your eyes to grow heavy as the comfort from Alexia’s borrowed clothes took over your senses.

“Mi amor, wake up” Alexia cooed, her hand running through your hair to stir you through your sleep.

Your only response was a few very tired grumbles as your eyes opened to the sight you’d been waiting for. It took a couple of seconds for you to realise what was going on before a sleepy smile overtook your face.

“Ale, you’re home” You smiled, pushing yourself up off the sofa and wrapping your arms around her quickly.

“Si, I thought you weren’t tired huh?” She laughed, placing a kiss on the top of your head.

“It was an accidenttttt” You whined, “I got comfy in your clothes and they smelt like you so it made me tired”.

“Oh nena, vamos a la cama” She suggested, taking hold of my hand and leading me towards our bedroom.

“I’m not even tired amor” You announced, as if there was any use convincing her that you were telling the truth.

Within 5 minutes both you and Alexia were settled in bed, your head resting on her chest as her fingers made their way through your hair slowly. Your hands ran up and down her chest as you both sleepily talked through how you spent your days and the parts you missed each other the most.

“Patri and Pina didn’t stop teasing me about you staying awake for me to get home” Alexia laughed slightly, “They don’t think I’m tough anymore”.

You sleepily laughed in response, “You’re a massive softie, I think they already knew that”.

“Woah-! Hey- What?” Tucker sputtered, hands flying out to his sides as though he needed to stabilize himself. Needless to say the abrupt teleportation instead of gradual vertical travel caught the Phantom group off guard. Danielle had started floating about a foot off the ground, and Jazz and Sam were looking around uneasily as a computerized voice announced what sounded like a series of serial numbers with ‘and five visitors’ attached to the end. Danny could only look over his hands curiously, as though he weren’t sure if he was still tangible or not. That hadn’t felt like going through the Ghost Portal, it had been much… lighter in feeling almost. And while he personally couldn’t remember going through the break in realm borders that had brought all of them to this realm, the others could attest it was much more gentle and peaceful feeling. But being gentle apparently didn’t excuse the surprise teleportation.

“Was that a teleporter?! You didn’t say anything about teleporting,” Tucker continued to fuss while Sam just tried to roll the tense feeling out of her shoulders and Jazz let out a slow breath to steady herself.

“Oops. Must have slipped our minds,” Stephanie noted, giving them a wink. And if she hadn’t currently had a mask over her nose and mouth Danny wouldn’t have been surprised if she’d added a tongue to that expression. He also didn’t miss how some of them looked mildly apologetic despite all the material shrouding part of their faces. They apparently hadn’t meant to startle any of them with that, so he couldn’t hold it against them.

“Have to admit, I was expecting a long drive,” Danny chuckled mildly, tucking his hands into his pockets. It hadn’t been that bad, and his relaxed response about the situation somehow blanketed the others with a layer of calm. Something that made Bruce’s lips press together in concern. At least Danny’s reaction hadn’t been forced that time. He really didn’t seem to have been bothered at all by the experience.

“This is a lot more cost effective on top of being faster,” Tim responded with a mild chuckle, deliberately not mentioning that it also would have been impossible to drive to the Watchtower.

“That’s an understatement,” Duke laughed, exchanging a look with the others. Their mannerisms caused Sam to narrow her eyes suspiciously, but before she could dwell on the matter too long Jon was unable to contain his excitement.

“C’mon! C’mon! Let’s go!” Jon beckoned, grabbing Danny’s hand from his jacket pocket and tugging him forward. It caused Danny to stumble for the first few steps, but he managed to keep his footing easily enough. Jon at least wasn’t pulling him too quickly, so Danny allowed him to drag him down the hall for now. He wouldn’t be able to keep up that pace the whole time, but for now he didn’t mind indulging in Jon’s overflowing excitement.

“Easy there, Superboy,” Stephanie chided, jogging lightly to catch up as the rest of the group started following them. Danielle even dropped back to the ground to walk with them, at least mildly curious to see where they were despite Sam and Tucker’s nervousness. This place felt a bit too clean, but at least it didn’t smell sterile. Just strangely unused. Like they were in a place restricted from the public. It made them wary, but at least they were with people that they felt they could trust. Everyone that had come with them from Bruce and his family seemed relaxed even if they also seemed like they were anticipating something. A fact that was lightly betrayed by Stephanie pulling her phone out to train the camera on the group, specifically Danny.

It caused Danny to snort, immediately looking away shyly even as Jon continued to drag him along. “What’s with the camera?” he huffed, trying to make light of the situation even though he wasn’t really fond of being recorded.

“It’s your first time in the Watchtower!” Stephanie answered, as if that reminder was the only explanation they needed. When Danny just raised a brow she gave in and gave a little more of an explanation. “The others wanted to see your reaction too, so I gotta record it for them. Don’t worry. Secure connections only,” she assured. She would be lucky to keep the video anyway considering they were in one of their most secure locations.

Danny didn’t see why everyone was apparently interested in his reaction towards being in a big fancy building, but just rolled his eyes and shrugged slightly. “I guess it’s fine,” he relented, just a little reluctantly. They had done a lot for him already. He could indulge them in having a prank video if they had to have one.

“Maybe she thinks because we’re from the countryside that we’ll be amazed by some big fancy corporate building,” Sam muttered to Tucker, her voice not quite low enough for the others to not hear her in the small space of the rather empty hallway. Jazz promptly shushed her and whispered for her to be nice, which earned snickers from Danielle and Duke.

“I dunno. A big city’s big fancy building might be impressive. We’ll give them some benefit of the doubt,” Danielle teased, not even bothering trying to lower her voice.

Stephanie just giggled when Jazz sighed in mild frustration, raising a hand to her head. “Don’t worry, Jazz. Sarcasm is a love language,” she assured, waving a hand dismissively. This wasn’t supposed to be a stressful trip, so it would be good if Jazz didn’t feel like she had to control everyone like they were children on a field trip. ‘When Jazz just gave her an apologetic but grateful look, Stephanie gave her a thumbs up and glanced to see how close they were to their first destination. “And you’ll see soon enough just how impressive our big fancy building is,” she partially announced, realizing they were just one more turn away from the communal dining area they had decided to bring them all to first.

As Jon subconsciously sped up, Stephanie quickly jogged far enough ahead of him and Danny so she could get a good view with her camera. The scene behind her was one she had seen many times before, so she didn’t even glance at it, focusing on her recording as Jon dragged a mildly protesting Danny out from the hallway.

“J- Superboy, not so fast,” Danny was starting to request, obviously feeling bad for having to put a damper on the lad’s energy.

But Jon had already let go of his hand in favor of running ahead to pose in front of them, holding his hands out to display the view they had walked into and chiming a cheerful,“Tadaaa~”

Danny didn’t need any more direction to shift his gaze further into the room, a particular sight pulling his gaze far past the tables and chairs and straight to the not actually a wall directly opposite to them. Without Jon to pull him forward Danny had slowed to a stop, his eyes widening significantly as he sucked in a tight breath of awe, his entire being captivated by the most beautiful sight he’d ever laid eyes on. He barely registered the rest of the group filling into the room after him, gaze locked on the expanse of space stretching out over more than half of the room’s walls, unobstructed by any form of pollution or atmosphere beyond simple planes of perfectly cleaned glass. Inky blackness mottled with blues, violets, pinks, flashes of color curled into clouds of distant galaxies. A freckling of stars scattered over the expanse, flaring bright in the absence of their own sun on this side of the Watchtower. An unearthly canvas of celestial artwork with a crisp clarity no camera on earth could capture.

“Woah… Interesting choice for a wall screen display,” Tucker commented, momentarily breaking through Danny’s daze while having noticed the same thing. How could he not? It was taking up 90% of the wall across from them, even curving to encompass more of the dining room full of tables, chairs and a modest kitchen area.

“That’s not a screen…,” Danny breathed in an almost reverent breathlessness as his body was kept still until now only by the small strain of disbelief telling him there was no way that was real. But as he was starting to subconsciously pick out different aspects of the universe that he could recognize, nestled in the black curtain exactly where they should be, he absently started to walk slowly towards the window.

There was no way.

But there was also no way anything like this could be fake.

“Correct. That is not a digital display,” Damian confirmed when no one else seemed willing to break the silence.

Danny had taken several steps away from them by now, stopping only because he realized he was leaving the group as he glanced behind him to ask for another confirmation to banish his doubt. “That’s a window!”

“Thaaaat’s a window!” Duke drew out his response, a huge smile as he watched Danny slowly realize his childhood dream had come true.

“We’re in SPACE!” Danny blurted, one last confirmation to solidify what he already knew. Energy from somewhere he didn’t know building in his form and causing his hands to raise halfway.

“We’re in space!” Stephanie chimed cheerfully along with him, no longer able to keep her giggles down any longer and giving a small jump. Something that caused Tim to reach over and take her phone to keep the recording steady while she bounced up and down.

“JAZZ!” Danny hollered, completely unable to hold back the pure elation that had built up into his entire existence, spilling over as soon as his doubt was confirmed to be unfounded. “WE’RE IN SPA-AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” His repeated exclamation broke into a single, overwhelmed scream of joy as he swung his hands in front of him, new found energy spilling out in a display of childish glee as he jumped up and down a few times.

Jazz couldn’t help snorting, blessedly distracted from the fact they were no longer within the range of Earth’s gravity by her brother’s childish bliss. She didn’t know what to say, not quite able to believe it herself just yet. But she didn’t need to say anything, for Danny’s hands stopped waving in the air to momentarily clutch his hair as he whipped around to look out the window again. And then he turned to her once more to scream a shorter “AAHHHHHAHA!!” of joy before abruptly leaping fully into the air, bolting across the room to plaster himself against the window higher than any of them could reach from the floor.

“Oh my gawd,” Sam gave an ugly snort, covering her mouth with her hand, Danny’s departure from them breaking her from her own daze.

“Oookay, now I know why you guys were being all secretive about where this place was,” Tucker chuckled, only partially able to catch a few words that Danny was rambling as he pointed out different parts of the universe he could pick out.

At least until he turned to look at them and shout, “I CAN SEE MARS WITH MY EYEBALLS FROM HERE!” before looking back out the window, adjusting his position and pointing. “AND THERE’S BETELGEUSE AND RIGEL!”

None of them could really tell what Danny was pointing to, only those who knew what he was talking about already and could find the planet and stars on their own could see them. But it didn’t stop them from laughing.

“Yeah, we wanted to surprise him,” Duke confirmed, chuckling while watching Danny float around the window almost like a trapped moth drawn by light, rambling something or other about a red star and a blue one and the difference between the two.

“And I admit it was pretty worth it,” Tim added with a grin. Had Danny switched to talking about supernovas now? And something about Betelgeuse partially exploding? This kid really knew his stuff apparently.

By this point Danny had flitted around to various parts of the window, trying to get a better view while he was able to. The glass was clean, and since he was in his ghost form he wasn’t leaving any fingerprints when he was smashed against the glass. But it still made it hard to see other angles, and he found himself wondering if he could survive if he went outside. He could become intangible after all, and that had saved him from being affected by rather extreme environments already. And the biggest dangers of space were the lack of oxygen and no air pressure. Things that also didn’t matter when he was intangible.

So after a moment of consideration Danny’s impulsive brain reasoned he could at least test his hypothesis, and he stuck his hand through the window.

“Did he just-,” Jazz started, squinting as she thought she could see Danny flexing his hand on the other side of the window. It was a little hard to see considering how clean the glass was, but he was unusually focused on his hand.

And then, after realizing he was indeed fine if he stayed intangible, Danny slipped through the glass all the way.

“DANNY!” Jazz almost screeched, running forward despite having no idea what she would do about the situation. So much for anonymity, but luckily no one else was there yet to hear her.

Naturally Danny couldn’t hear her, but despite that still turned around to wave at them, gesturing to himself and then the literal space behind him in just as much if not more excitement than when he’d first realized they were in space.

Bruce could only sigh away the sudden spike of panic that had increased his heart rate as his main charge just launched himself into the void without a proper spacesuit, and moved forward to rest a calming hand on Jazz’s shoulder. Raising a finger to his communicator, he linked into the channel buzzing about a ‘foreign entity outside the Watchtower’ alert they had all just gotten, addressing that issue first. “It’s fine, it’s just Phantom. He’s new. Green Lantern, can you come keep an eye on him? It’s his first time in space,” he reported, gruffly cutting through the buzz of startled chatter.

“Ohhhh, the visitor today. Gotcha,” Hal’s voice chimed back. “I’ll be right there.”

“Could have warned us he’d go outside,” Barry chided with a chuckle. “Good thinking to bring him this early if he’s that excited though. Where are the rest?”

“With me,” Bruce confirmed, looking down to make sure the other four were indeed still with him. Jazz still seemed about ready to pop from stress, but Bruce’s gaze was caught by the sight of Danielle literally vibrating where she stood, staring up at him with huge eyes.

“....Can I go explore the ship?” Danielle half squeaked when she noticed Bruce finally look at her. She was trying to be patient, and not cause trouble, so that they could see she could be well behaved and therefore wouldn’t have any issues at all with her request.

Bruce could only stare for a moment. Right. Danielle was a lot like Danny. She hadn’t openly expressed as much interest in space as Danny had, so they hadn’t thought she would have been that excited over it. But it seemed she was more interested in the Watchtower itself right then than going out to explore the surroundings like her brother.

“I can take her,” Duke offered, noting Bruce’s reluctance, and Tim nodded in agreement to join them, passing Stephanie’s phone back to her

With a slightly heavy sigh, Bruce just nodded in reluctant relent.

“Yeeeeesssssss,” Danielle hissed, grabbing Duke’s and Jon’s hands and running to the nearest hallway, Damien trailing behind them. Jon gave a mild squawk at being grabbed, but otherwise laughed and eagerly joined in on the trip.

“Is he okay?” Jazz finally managed to wheeze, still staring at her brother.

“He’s fine,” Bruce assured, figuring Danny had been smart and made sure he would be okay before throwing himself into space, and also seeing that the lad was showing zero signs of distress. It wasn’t at all surprising to see he was able to be out in space without specialized gear either. There were a few other people that frequented the Watchtower that could do the same after all. One of which was now visible through the window, approaching Danny. “Green Lantern will keep track of him and make sure he stays safe,” Bruce added, gesturing to the green clad hero.

Seeing someone else out in the void with her brother did a lot to calm Jazz down, and Sam and Tucker even relaxed without having realized they had been tense.

“Hey there kiddo,” Hal greeted when he was close enough to Danny to be noticed. He was keeping a polite distance from the lad at first, and making sure Danny noticed him just in case he was someone that startled easily. “I’m Green Lantern, and I’m just here to keep an eye on you and make sure you don’t get lost.”

To Hal’s minor surprise, Danny just waved excitedly at him in greeting before gesturing to the Watchtower window, then the expanse of space to the opposite direction. The way he was waving his hands and his eyes were expressing Hal imagined he was animatedly trying to say something. But he apparently didn’t have any method to make sound be heard by others, so his words were effectively muted. A fact Danny soon noticed, and paused to rest a hand on his throat.

“You can tell me about it later,” Hal assured when Danny paused, realizing no one could hear him. “My abilities are what allow me to talk out here. Wanna see the rest of the Watchtower? I can show you around,” he offered. He might be able to figure out a device that allowed him to hear the lad, but for now he figured he could focus on letting the boy explore. Kids were easier to manage when they weren’t heavily distracted by something after all.

Hal ended up chuckling in amusement when Danny immediately began nodding enthusiastically. Raising a hand back to his comms, Hal faced the others inside and waved. “We’re gonna go sightseeing,” he reported to Bruce, giving a thumbs up as well to confirm that Danny was just fine. “I’ll bring him back when we’re done.”

“Just make sure you don’t run him too hard. He’s recovering from injury.” Bruce responded in caution, not wanting Danny to wear himself out to the point of reversing some of his recovery progress.

“Gotcha,” Hal nodded, turning back to Danny and gesturing for him to follow. “Ready?”

Danny nodded again, and had to blink and rub his eyes when he realized they had started to water. He wasn’t upset, just pleasantly overwhelmed. Which caused him to giggle silently when the salt water bubbles wiggled sporadically in the void after getting brushed away from his face. He had to poke one just for fun before eagerly darting after Hal.

“Awh, he’s crying,” Stephanie giggled, having noticed Danny’s predicament before he was out of sight.

“He’s very happy,” Cass beamed proudly.

“That he is. Mission success,” Stephanie agreed, raising a hand to high five Cass and celebrate their accomplishment.

Random facts/music share. I struggled so hard writing this at first because I can't write without music and all the music I had was not the right mood. So I ended up spamming Battle Scars by Paradise Fears while writing the first pass of this. It was the only song I had that had the right vibes X'D Alternatively when drawing the pic I spammed The City Holds My Heart by Ghostly Kisses

Also I was caught off guard with how many people loved Danny's space pants in the last pic X'DDD I wish I knew of some real ones or a way to submit custom ones for people to get, but I have no idea about that.

My father is diabetic and is very old, and you know that there is no treatment or medicine in Gaza due to the closure of the crossings. We were displaced to Mawasi Khan Yunis because of the threats on the city of Rafah, because my area where I live was considered a danger zone, and the Israeli army demolished our house. We were displaced and now we live in a tent, and the situation is very tragic. There is no water, electricity, or food there. In fact, our lives resemble the barren desert until there is no one there. Privacy at all. The bathroom is shared by everyone in the camp, and pollution and diseases are widespread.

‏We want to leave Gaza, my family and I, so that we can be safe, but there is a problem that travel costs are very high, such as a visa to travel to European countries. In order for a person to leave the Gaza Strip, he needs 5,000 dollars, which means that in order for my family and I to leave, we need approximately 35 thousand dollars, so I created a GoFound Me campaign. Could you elaborate a bit on what the "half in-half out" deal that the Sussexes wanted (and were denied) actually involved? It comes up pretty frequently and I'm personally pretty unsure about what they actually were asking to receive and why the royals shot it down leading to total megxit.

Half-in: They wanted to be part-time official working royals to represent The Queen and the BRF but no longer cooperate with the royal rota for coverage of their activities and control how the public interacted/engaged with them.

Half-out: When they weren’t on official duty for The Queen/BRF, they wanted to make their own money through commercial deals for content, products, speaking gigs, and paid appearances, and all interactions with the press would be invite-only (aka no invite, no press access).

Why The Queen refused: It would have made the BRF pay-for-play, when their greatest asset is being “accessible” to all kinds of people from all walks of life. A pay-for-play system benefits only the wealthy and those who can afford it, drastically reducing the kind of reach, impact, and recognition the BRF has.

Why it led to Megxit: The Queen said “either you’re in or you’re out, full stop.” Meaning that if Harry and Meghan wanted to be official working royals and represent her/the BRF, they could not make their own money, control media/press access to their events, and limit the public commentary (aka censorship). But if they chose to make their own money, control access, and restrict the public, then they could not be official working members of the royal family. The Sussexes didn’t like that so they said “fine, we quit” and moved to California instead.

Here is Harry and Meghan’s first official statement about leaving the BRF and yes - it was first released on Instagram (vs the usual palace authorities):

This statement came after some leaks and scoops from Dan Wooten in The Sun. You can easily see what they envisioned for half in/half out:

Modernize the "spare" role in the royal family

No longer be senior members of the family, but continue representing the monarchy as needed

Being financially independent

Live part of the year in North America pursuing their own interests while living the rest of the year in the UK doing royal work

Raise Archie with appreciation for tradition

Launch their own charity

Collaborate with The Queen, Charles, William, and staff.

Still remain your beloved Duke and Duchess of Sussex

(My interpretation: They wanted to travel on the BRF's dime; attend signature BRF events; raise Archie as a fully-blooded Prince of the Realms; monetize their titles and social media; fund their personal charity work on the back of The Queen's, Charles's, and William's own works and efforts; and spend the glamorous British social season in the UK being royal, spend the shoulder seasons in Canada representing The Queen, and spend the brutal Canadian winter attending the glamorous Hollywood awards season and traveling the Caribbean Commonwealth nations. YMMV.)

When this statement was published, two things happened:

Everyone went to the Sussex Royal website to read their plan and immediately began laughing/rolling their eyes about how tone-deaf and ridiculous some of their demands were.

The BRF reacted with the royal equivalent of "wait a fucking minute."

Neither reaction was what the Sussexes expected. They expected total praise and support from the press and they expected the BRF to totally roll over and beg them to stay (and we know that because of the stories that Sussex-friendly press were writing). So immediately the Sussexes began clapping back - both at the public and at the BRF. For example, see this cflapback to claims that they blindsided the BRF with their "resignation" as senior royals by none other than Omid Scobie.

Also while they were clapping back via the press and social media associates, the content on their Sussex Royal website began getting changed and updated in real-time based on the critical commentary from the press (and likely alo the initial reactions from the BRF) in an attempt to show that the Sussexes still remained fully in control of their "Spring 2020 transition", like so:

As a result, the original manifesto angry-posted on January 8, 2020, is no longer easily available - most of the blogs that I’d consult for the original manifesto are no longer available (like Cat's original blog, which Sussex Squad forced down in 2021) and the ones that remain, their archives are enormous that it's like searching for a needle in a haystack. You can still find it, but it will require a LOT of patience because this was like a powder keg exploding - everyone came crawling out of the woodwork with commentary and criticism.

ULTIMATE Realistic Family Gameplay Guide

Hello, everyone. I ran a poll on my channel for you all to decide on which realism guide you'd like to see next and Family Gameplay won. While I'm aware there are hundreds of family gameplay guides out there, and you'll probably have most of these mods already installed, what I think I can offer different are fixes to the EA code, and expansions on gameplay mechanics already included in the game, as well as a masterlist that has been extensively playtested for the last 6-7 years (still testing the newer mods though!). These mods have been run through Delphy's Dashboard, and have even caught conflicts and corrected that Delphy's couldn't catch.

We will break this guide down in simpler sections.

Children can series.

XML's, Tweaks, Tunings (Non-scripts). Special section for fixes.

Scripts and scripted objects.

This guide is also aimed at overall family play. I do not just think of new interactions for babies, toddlers, children, and teens. I also consider the parents. I've included mods for parents in different roleplay scenarios, as well as, single adults looking to create a family, so we will focus on some mods that can promote the family before the family is made.

I will also included a personal recommended list of lots you'd want to include in any world you play in for an ultimate family play experience.

Now that that's out of the way:

This can be followed alongside the youtube guide, we've got a lot of mods to get through so let's jump straight into it.

Children Can Series:

We will start with the most intricate install process. There are many children can mods. And many mods that conflict with each other. I caught all of them through Delphy's Dashboard, so you will only install the mods highlighted in this guide for the most optimal and conflict free experience. These mods are self explanatory but I'm going to explain why you want them at the end of this section.

CamKitty - Children can werewolf hunt.

kls77 - children can repair, tinker, and upgrade.

Bluegentsu - Children can use fortune cookie maker

Jonha - Children can use urinals.

All of these mods enable features already in the game that children were unable to do. Each of these small mods brings back playability with children in very big ways. This also makes children much more independent so you won't always need an adult or teen around to take care of them. For example, children can now order pizza on the phone, or microwave food, instead of needing adults to always cook for them. You can roleplay more chores with children by allowing them to do laundry, this can also be roleplayed in a scenario where a parent isn't very consistent and the child has to be. This could create amazing stories for your gameplay. Without these mods, playing with children feels so much more restrictive. They feel like cute dolls you just send to school and forget about for a couple of hours. Allowing them more agency and free will for my gameplay allowed me to immerse myself more in their child years.

We are now going to focus on XML's, tweaks, and Tunings. These are all non scripts. This is also where I will include fixes. These are very lightweight mods that change what is already in the game and do not create gameplay lag.

Adoption Costs 5 k - I made adoption more expansive because I wanted to be able to feel this decision in game. Adoption isn't neccassarily free in real life. Between the paperwork, meetings, travel, and transitioning the children into your life this can obviously be very expensive. So this mod helps me roleplay this aspect of real life.

Arcade claw machine tweaks - Family fun center version. Arcades are extremely important for my family playthrough's, as it's one of the lots where I can put plenty of interactive objects for all ages. Including a little playpen for toddlers, that won't be out of place. This can also double as a traditional birthday party lot, with closed off rooms. From time to time I like to bring my families to these lots when I want them all to get out of the house together. So with this mod, it tweaks the prizes you can win from the claw machines, increasing your chances of winning a ton more stuff.

BlueGentsu

5% chance of teen mood swings - Makes the mood swings feel a lot more impactful when they happen instead of every other day. This is especially helpful for those who play on longer lifespans.

Skates - all enabled for pregnancy - does just as it says, pregnant sims should be allowed to have a little more fun.

No blowhorns noisemakers at Age ups - It's just annoying and buggy, so removing it altogether optimizes age transitions. This also makes the event seem a bit more realistic, while everyone just cheers and laughs instead.

Toddler's can turn off stereo - Combined with my NRAAS GoHere settings, which allows for inactive daycares to be possible, sometimes when a daycare staff puts your sims down to sleep, they won't turn off the stereo so you as the toddler will have to autonomously do it so they can peacefully take their nap.

Boarding school is expensive - Again, this is so the decision feels a lot more impactful in game. This can also be roleplayed as sending your child to private school when in a wealthy family, so the prices also make more sense for this.

Maid Costs 200 - As the title says maids will be slightly more expensive, this adds up everyday, and is for the purpose of this decision feeling more impactful. It didn't make sense for my poorer families to be able to afford a maid so this is a mod catered more towards upper middle class to wealthy families. I also combine maids with a butler as well, to give a more regal feel to the wealth your sims have obtained.

No Graduation - This is optional, if you use UC mod. This eliminates the graduation ceremony altogether, for those like myself who like to roleplay this event in game instead. By simply throwing a party on a fancy lot with formal attire.

Not just teens can prank call - Just made more sense to have this option available for everyone.

Student Services Booth mod unlocked - This can be used on High school lots as well. Especially when you turn on Summer Vacations, and send kids back to school the first day of Fall. Also, for roleplay Uni scouting events, so sim families can have a more immersive experience of browsing possible universities sims can be sent to.

More Festival Ticket Rewards - BG, SN, UNI version. Just like the claw machine this adds more rewards to win on festival lots. Makes working for the tickets more impactful.

No Auto tell ghost stories - This interaction has always annoyed me as it happens anywhere at any time. I like to plan activities almost like an itinerary when sending my sims to do longer events like vacations or simple camping trips in their homeworld. So specifically for camping, telling a ghost story with the family is a very fun activity to do at night before everyone goes to sleep around a campfire. It is where this interaction makes the most sense for me to use and leaves me excited to actually use it.

Studying is easier - I always thought the study rates of performance were super unbalanced. As I don't have sims study often when in Unni unless it makes sense for their character. And so this leaves an incentive to actually study during their free time outside of class as it brings more of a reward when it is done. However, the default rates of studying was too slow and easily took up all of my sims days. So I wanted to be able to study and be rewarded for that, while also having more time in my sims days to do things. So now I can study less often, throughout the week without the stress. I am including this in the family gameplay guide because your teens can actually study together in your homeworld which doesn't do anything for their school performance but does a lot of roleplaying study groups, since I have a homework mod that only takes 15 minutes to complete.

TwoFT Mama -

Auto Potty Training - does just as it says, this mostly helps townies, but for active households to do this on their own leaves you as the player feeling more immersed.

Better grades - Lowers the grade requirements making school a little easier. This is so while playing with UC it leaves teens and children more time to interact with each other outside of working on interactive objects.

Faster homework minutes - Reduces homework times to 15 minutes, saves up much more time in my child and teen sims days.

Fixes:

This is a smaller section for the non scripts, where I consider these mods to be complete fixes to existing EA gameplay that all the patch updates missed.

Auto Romance YA-Elder Propose going steady - This is a lightweight alternative to the NPC Romance script mod by YolkSims. While the mod was completely rebuilt from the ground up to be much more optimized, I went on a journey to find replacements to my current scripts folder that delivered what I was looking for. I found this mod. While this can go all the way up into Getting divorced. I stopped at going steady because with the Supreme AI mod sims can autonomously break up if they aren't on the best terms. This may also include divorcing, but so far it hasn't been too intrusive. Combined with the simler90 mod which includes attraction fixes, this makes romance a lot more fluid, performance friendly, autonomous, chaotic, but also predictable, aids in roleplaying, and is overall a great fix for townies and creating families with active households.

Read to sleep fix - A patch broke this interaction, so Danjaley fixes it. Without realizing it, you have another immersive gameplay mechanic for toddlers in the game. This interaction is very cute and I wouldn't believe it wasn't a mod, so I'm very happy this interaction was fixed.

Midlife Crisis Always - Adult life stages can be quite boring and monotonous. I play lifespans so long that when this event happens it's like a milestone for me. I think of it as a mini game, and try to fix everything that happens afterwards once my sim comes to their senses.

MissPat Better Playdates - Just as you may have saw in my Supreme AI playtest video, Townies will autonomously call and ask for playdates if both families have children and younger in their household. This was an EA feature, but it also got broken. This makes interacting with other families more immersive, and making children and toddlers friends much more realistic and natural in the game. For those who like to roleplay life long best friends in the game, especially.

TwoFtMama

Birthday Cakes don't catch fire - These fires are annoying and I use other mods that can cause chaotic fires randomly but REASONABLY in game.

No Curfew period - This is the only curfew remover mod that doesn't break changing clothes and dresser interactions in my game. I always thought the curfew mechanic in the game was a bit too much. Police officers wouldn't know where every single child or teen was at in the world. And sometimes, I like to take my teen and child sims out late for family events, teens on late dates, etc. With curfews enabled, police would still arrest them and bring them home, even though the parents were with them, then would have to wait for the parent to get all the way back home just to yell at them for being out late. This obviously made no sense. Combined with a punishment scripts mod, I can user direct punishments for things like this instead for a much more roleplaying and immersive experience.

Teens can take unpaid days off - This mod also made more sense and should've been included in EA features. Teens call off from work, and quite often might I add. So it helps me roleplay a more realistic teen lifestyle in game.

Now for the Final section we are going to focus on Scripts. Scripts typically do not conflict with each other but for this list some of them did. The compatibility patches and versions have been included so you don't have to worry. This is where most of you will probably already have these mods, but hopefully I introduce you to some bangers you never heard of before.

We are going to go by creator and then from A-Z for the misc scripts.

Arsil

Do Homework With - Adds the ability to do your homework with other sims the same age as your children and teens. This can make study groups more immersive, as getting homework done together will actually improve school performance the next day, but can be doubled with the UNI study together interaction the roleplay a longer study session period. These can be done in the home or the Library, which allows me to get more usage out of my Library lots and make a Kid/Teen section which is always fun.

Toddler Extra Activities - Adds a bunch of cute new interactions that toddlers can do like playing in puddles, mud, sand, eating snow, dancing, and even drawing on the walls if they have crayons in their inventory.

Arsil Futons - This is for more eastern themed family plays, but you can alternatively use these if you have a poor sim in the big city who can't even afford a bed. I typically transmogrify deco beds on the floor into this script object in game, you get a lot of creative and really fun gameplay out of this. But I wanted to toss this in here for my eastern simmers, if you don't already know about this, or you'd like to play an Asian household and make your gameplay a little more realistic. I'm definitely excited to rebuild my Korean themed Uni world I had before with these beds!

Arsil Napping Mats - These work exactly like the futons except for toddlers. It's honestly so cute. Outside of the crib and Olomaya's toddler beds, this is just another super cute way for Toddler's to fall asleep. The crib always seemed way too overbearing, and for those who roleplay toddlers aging but not yet into children, these other various options would serve you a lot better. Now for these mats specifically, I typically like using them in my inactive Daycare lots, but from time to time I'll use them in my active household's living rooms or play room, just in case I don't always feel like bringing the Toddler to another floor to fall asleep.

Arsil Low Dinner Table - Another really awesome mod for those who want to be able to roleplay better with eastern households. I always have so much fun with these tables and chairs, I've even converted some myself. One of my favorite general things to do is set the chair up in front of a TV and direct my sims to play video games. So they will be sitting on the floor and playing video games and it always looks super cute, so much nostalgia!

Arsil Limbo Mod - For the same reason I removed the autonomous ghost telling interaction, is why I use this limbo mod. Another activity for sims to do at various different parties. It's one of my favorite little events to host during a birthday party. It's seriously so cute!

FloTheory

Pay For This - Adds a mechanic where every time you change your baby and toddler diapers and give them a bottle of milk you will be charged 5 simoleons. It's such an awesome addition because when you think about it, diapers and milk should add up in real life. However, combined with the other mods in this guide, if you change their diapers and give them a bath using the store object, or give them a bath using The Sweet Simmer's mod, you won't pay for anything then. Which makes sense, sometimes you can roleplay already having diapers in supply. As well as Olomaya's toddler snacks and meals, you would shop for groceries and make the toddler whatever you have available in your fridge, but actually feeding the child those meals won't cost 5 simoleans because you already paid for the ingredients. So this interaction fixes the lack of realism with EA's diaper and bottle interaction. I find myself using all 3 mods at random, and it's always so fun.

Wedding Inactives - Adds the ability to have two sims in a relationship that your sims are friends with, to get engaged, and you can set their wedding party as well. This can give romantic stories with townies more user control. Since we are using tuning mods to make romance more autonomous, and stopped at going steady, eventually SP will push those sims to get married, but you can not only speed things up whenever you'd like, but you can also attend their wedding in the same way they attended yours! This gives the user another way to experience going to a party instead of hosting one like LN introduced. Idk about you guys but I love also feeling like a townie/NPC sometimes, it immerses me much further into my gameplay!

Weight Gain - Adds a random percentage of weight gain for pregnant sims during and after they give birth. Women's bodies are absolutley beautiful especially after giving birth, I always hear about those mommy curves that finally come in for so many women, while you can choose to go to the gym and work this mommy weight off, I imagine myself keeping it probably for most of my playthrough's. It's just always made sense that this should happen, our bodies can change forever after giving birth and so I'd like to roleplay that kind of wholesome realism in game, too.

GameFreak

Advice interaction - Adds a new social interaction with custom moodlets when you can ask for and give advice. There are several different kinds of advice you can give, with many random prompts, and a reasonably timed moodlet that you'll get after the interaction. While this can be applied to general gameplay mods, I'm including this in the family gameplay because there are just way too many roleplay oppurtunities you can have with this one. Siblings or parents giving romantic, career, etc advice. Friends, lovers, maybe a lover asking for romantic advice on how to sweep your sim off their feet? It adds a lot more roleplaying elements that can really help you the player put a story together. I've always had a gameplay style where I generally know what I'd like to happen but I go with the gameplay and can change the plot at will, so the gameplay has to reflect many more possibilities.

Smartphone Dating - Is a smaller mod that just adds the dating app from the computer onto your phone. I personally love to roleplay like this is Tinder for my sims. I always felt the dating app should also be available on sims phones like in real life, and it gives us some things to do when out and about or bored at home!

JunJay

Everyone Clip coupons - This, again, should've been available in the game already, it can be quite fun to shop smarter, even if you aren't poor per say but money is getting kind of tight. I know large families that do pretty well still love using coupons so I've included this mod.

Online Center - Adds a brand new scripting interaction to the PC which makes so much more sense. You can shop online for groceries, books, pets, relics, bots, consignment, potions, etc. You can check weekly events, which means you can disable the newspaper and still get those benefits. Read E-sim news. And probably my favorite, there is a new Simbook (Facebook) feature! Your sim will basically scan their timeline and comment on other townies simbook's, and you'll actually get slight relationship increases with random sims you already know, and you can even meet sims you haven't met already through this feature as well.

Study Skills Online - Adds another interaction to the online center where you can study any and all skills. Instead of having to go out and buy the things you can study them for free right from your pc at home. I typically use this interaction for my teen sims to improve their basic school skills as an extra layer of work for them to do for school. Outside of studying, creating books titled their class projects and etc.

Lizcandor

Potty Training - Adds a new interaction for toddlers to play in the toilet and use it instead of always using their potty training potty.

Independence GoHere Compatible - Adds the ability for toddler's to use stairs! Always exciting! But you'll have to keep an eye on those little rascals a bit more, which is always more realistic!

Mintbeehry

Mint Makeup - Adds a new interaction for children and toddler's to play with makeup. And some very silly makeup masks that will go over the kid's face when done. I used to play with my mom's makeup all the time so it brings back memories for me, I think it's a super cute interaction for you to experience with your sims families!

Fidget Spinner - Adds an interactive fidget spinner object that can go into your sims inventory and taken out and be played with for a couple seconds. I think these are super cute for kids to win at festivals and arcade lots so I included it as it can be combined with savvier seller mod to actually shop for it on these lots.

MonocoDoll

Remove Shoes - Another really great eastern culture gameplay mechanic or just for your more cleanly families with a mud room. Either way, you'll have plenty of fun with this mod installed for realism.

Government assistance - Adds just what it states for your sims. EBT, health insurance, Child support. It's super realistic and adds so much more depth and mechanic to your gameplay. You'll actually be able to roleplay your poor families without having to get creative. Make a side chick a baby mama to a wealthy sim who cheated on his wife, etc. Tell some crazy stories, this mod will certainly help you with all of those scenarios.

Olomaya

Hang out, Children and teens - Adds an interaction where children and teens sims will sit down on the ground and talk, laugh, etc. It increases their relationships, and can be quite a large group. I used to have the all ages version, but I think seeing teens and kids sit on the floor faired out much better in my gameplay than seeing adults. Pick which ever version you'd like, though.

Toddler Bed - Adds a functional single bed for toddlers to the game! I've planned to convert many sims 4 toddlers beds using this scripted object so we have some more variety, but for now the options available for it are so adorable. It's got one bug, where you can only enter the bed from the left side I believe, but other than that it's a much needed mod for more realism, especially for those toddlers that just turn 3 and 4 in your game.

Activity Table - Adds a crafting option, and serve snack option to the activity table. The crafting increases the painting skills but uses glitter as a prop instead. For toddler's and children, so they can both play and eat snacks at the table!

Coloring Book - Adds functional coloring books that are portable!

Smoking - Fixes Cmoney's smoking mod, optimizes the scripts, fixes the animations, adds a sitting animation, moodlets work much better, adds new custom moodlets. Also adds a vape. But most excited, this adds the ability for teens to buy fake ID's for tobacco products. I also use the fake ID's to roleplay my teen sims getting into bars and clubs. As they can actually order from the bar, I like to imagine they were able to slip passed security.

Student council - Adds a really fun almost mini-game interaction to a new student council option for teens in high school. And a new interactive board. It may not be everyone's flavor but it makes highschools a little more interactive outside of UC. See also PheobeJay's cheerleading mod for another interactive mechanic for teens and YA in UNI!

So obviously all of these mods MASSIVELY Overhaul family gameplay with babies, toddlers, and children in the game. Not only does it fix EA mechanics, but it also compliments and expands existing mechanics, and then adds even more. You'll probably never go back to regular family gameplay again after these mods. You might only have a couple so consider getting all of these mods listed above!

Twinsimming

Acne Mod - Adds acne to the game, and can randomly have break outs. This suits this theme mods list as puberty can be quite strange. This also effects adults though, and adults still get acne. I mean not me really but y'all be easy.

Dirty Laundry - Again, I think cleaning and have a family just goes hand in hand. This mod adds more custom moodlets the longer you go without washing your clothes. It's how it should've been in the game, to really incentivize you to get that laundry done.

Growing Pains - Is a great addition to family play. Whenever anything significant sad or angry happens to children and teens they will go through a time in their life that will deeply affect them (almost traumatize them in a way). Divorce and breakups, etc. It makes what story you tell with those sims more impactful on their lives.

New Scholarships - Adds new scholarships to the game, I also consider UNI to be an integrated part of Family life in the Sims 3. I love going off to Uni with my sims I watched grow up since birth. This mod just adds more ways they could get in to those Universities.

Tooth Fairy - Is a cute little mod that adds a tooth losing mechanic, it feels like it always should've been there. With custom moodlets that will make you know your kid sim is growing up.

Now we are going to move onto misc Family gameplay mods, these are from various creators where I don't have more than one of their mods installed!

All Adults carry - This is a mod that allows all adults to carry children. It was originally a feature in the sims 3 with the firefighter career, but Puddingface made it possible for all adults to pick up and carry kids. This adds another roleplay element, as sometimes I like to direct my parents to carry their rowdy kids to bed if they aren't listening and staying asleep.

Clean House for Everyone - This mod just makes the ability to clean the house for everyone. Originally this mechanic was only avilable for neat sims, but I find I have neat sims without the trait, and slobby sims who eventually wake up and want to get their house together. So it's a pretty convenient mod. The sims will autonomously be directed to every dirty object in the lot and clean it all up. This is pretty useful for those larger family homes who can't afford a maid or a butler or can, and you don't want to sacrifice a trait slot just to be able to clean your house.

Cherry Toddler interactions - This is another script mod that adds some pretty fun interactions into the game that combined with all the other scripted toddler interactions makes the game an abundance of choices you can do more with toddlers. Things like talking with another toddler, exploring around, having a bottle to themselves, and even eating pet food from their bowl.

Ferris Wheel - This adds a new scripted object ferris wheel, you can actually ride it. Combined with all the other store content geared towards festival lots (roller coaster, carousel) this is another really fun object for your family's to go crazy on in game. It adds a custom moodlet once you've finished and it's super cute.

Icarus Scolding - This adds a new scripted mechanic where you can user direct punishments to your child and teen sims now. This is what I meant earlier with the removal of the curfew mod. If you still want to catch your teens sneaking out it can actually make more sense. Now you can do all sorts of things for your stories and gameplay. Kid didn't clean up their room like you asked? Send them to the wall. Not doing their homework? Ground them from all electronics. You get it.

Lyralei Journal - Not quite like the other journal mod, your sims won't actually write anything to publish like with buzz's notebook mod. But they will get custom moodlets after writing a passage. I like to roleplay this as a diary for my sims and also sometimes extra homework for other classes they take. You'll get random whimsical prompts after they finish writing and you can only imagine what triggered that response from your sims (it's random so get creative). You can also hide the journal, and a new interaction where a sim can ask what you wrote. It's very cute and certainly worth the install.

Fairy Tale Books - adds more fairytale books to the game. Classic ones from real life. They are classified as children's books so you can read them to your kids at night. Makes a more relatable childhood experience for us simmers out there!

Mingos Option b - This adds basically an abortion pill to the game. You take it after suspecting your sim of being pregnant. While you can get an abortion for the enhanced hospitals mod this mod adds a CVS like experience where you can buy the pills from the grocery stores yourself or pretending you got a prescription to terminate a pregnancy. So it makes 2 ways you can get an abortion in game. I'm aware that some more mods that will eventually do this are currently being developed for the game, so this one might not stay in my mods folder after extensively reading through those future mods if or when it includes them. But for now, I think it's a great realistic addition for your gameplay.

Nona Breastfeed Baby - Adds the ability to breastfeed the baby. That's all. It's really cute and realistic, it's an older mod so you might not have heard of it.

I know I've already included a Lyralei mod but the Randomizer mod is a big game changer that shouldn't be ignored. It adds way too much random EA prompt mechanics that actually impact your gameplay and story. I've got all the modules. Things like combatting rumors. Giving Advice. Getting Sick. Power and water outages. Work and School related triggers and many many more.

Zoeoe Buzzler Scribbling Pad Fixed - This is an essential fix and script optimization to this older and most adored scribbling pad mod. This works like typing/writing on the pc except you'll write in the journal and it's portable so you can do it from anywhere. I love having my working and school sims get the most use out of this. You can also use this to replace the writing pc interaction if you're playing in an older time period that didn't have computers.

Ok! Awesome! So we got through all the family gameplay mods! Now when you stick around to the end of the video I can showcase to you what all of these mods combined are going to look like in your game! We won't get through everything because there are simply WAY too many scenarios to show and we would be here all day. So I'm just going to show you how a general gameplay session would go instead!

And just as promised I'm going to recommend you a list of lots you're going to want to have in any world to get the most out of your family gameplay!

The EP's we can combine in this Theme are Seasons, UNI (although this will be in another world entirely so don't worry about this one too much), Generations, Pets, Island Paradise, and Late Night. This is the ultimate pack arsenal combined that gives you so many more features and interaction for your Family gameplay. You do not have to disable all of the other packs, you're simply going to focus on the content and lots given by these EP's in the world you chose to play your family in. Also consider adding all of the premium store content you don't need the full sets, just the functional objects.

Arcade lot - For family events and date nights. Friends meetups.

1 Dive bar - for singles to meet and date nights. Friends meetups.

1 Sports bar - for guys nights or date nights. Bachelor parties. Friends meetups.

1 Dance club - for singles and date nights and girls nights. Bachelorette parties. Friends meetups.

1 Gym - Consider adding a playpen to a toddler/child care section for those busy parents. Friends meetups.

1 Library - Consider adding a toddler playpen section, a child and teen section for homework, and a computer lab. Friends meetups.

1 church - This can double as your opened Masoleum RH, and a pretty place to get married. Friends meetups.

1 functional Movie Theater - Does not need the Theater RH rug. Use the premium store content. For family events and date nights. Friends meetups.

1 Consignment store - With savvier seller objects to buy cc deco and furniture. I use this to roleplay changing around my bedrooms for when my sims age up. I don't put everything I have in the store obviously, but I do buy some things to include in the build.

1 Bistro - Open up the RH and use Ani's Business as Unusual set. For singles, family events, and date nights. Friends meetups.

1 Diner - Same as above, more afforable and relaxed eaterie. You don't have to open up every RH, but you should focus on the ones your active family will be working in and going to school. So for schools, that would be 1 elementary and 1 high school.

1 outdoor picnic/camping lot - For in home vacations, family events, and date nights. Friends meetups.

1-4 festival lot - Could be broken up into several throughout your town, one for each season. This makes these lots more optimized and you can decorate more cc into these seasonal themed lots without worrying about overloading the lot and crashing during season transitions. For family events, singles, date nights. Friends meetups.

1 Pool lot - For everyone, and parties.

1 Fancy banquet lot - Can double as an exclusive lounge, for wealthy family events and fancy parties, can also add casino objects.

1 big park - with a playground.

1 small park - with another playground and cat and dog park.

1 pet store - using store content.

1 pet clinic - Using ATS3 pet clinic set, Pet Vet career, and a second hospital RH combined with Pet diseases mod to make the lot functional, and also adding UC.

1 art gallery - consider adding an easel room for art class, a mini winery (for paint and sip date nights), and a savvier seller gift shop, to gift to your date or friends or for yourself.

1 Fishing spot, with rentable IP boats - For those fishing trips you'll take with your kids and make memories. You can also add this lot to your vacation worlds instead.

1 CoffeeHouse or Java Hut - For singles, Friends, dates during the day. Teens and parents.

1 Laundromat - For families without the laundry objects in their home.

1 Opened up Spa - With store and script objects combined for a more luxorious experience and extra custom moodlets.
